Humans capable of using magic wasn't anything new in the Supernatural World. What most didn't really know, or at times cared, about was that there were a rather wide variety of magical styles. Some styles being more compatible with each other than others. A particular style of magic that was more or less available to anyone capable of magic was the style of magic known as Wizarding Magic. The strange thing though was that Wizards, the term used for a caster of Wizarding Magic, couldn't use other styles of magic, even though the reverse was possible for Magicians, the general term for casters of the other styles with more specific terms existing for Magicians that favored a particular style of magic over others.
Other species of the Supernatural World were most of the time naturally capable of magic in the various styles, some styles being much easier to various species than others. The three species of the Hebrew pantheon, Angels, Fallen Angels and Devils, for example had a particularly high affinity for the style of magic referred to as the Arcane Arts. Beings like Ophis and her daughter Blake could use any style of magic if they wanted, but simply preferred to use either the Arcane Arts, Primordial Magic (which generally involved the manipulation of raw magical energy without molding and programming the magic, simply bending the raw magical energy to the caster's will) and as of late Wizarding Magic (though the last one was more or less just Blake).
Interestingly enough, Wizarding Magic and Primordial Magic were actually rather closely related to each other. Using similar methods of manipulating magical energy and being amongst the oldest styles of magic, with the latter of the two being rumored to be the very first style of magic. Despite the similarities, there were obvious differences between the two. Most notably being that Primordial Magic was much more destructive and usually needed less finesse than Wizarding Magic, which made up for its lack of destructive power with versatility and power efficiency, meaning that many spells required little power to use.
As the name suggested, Primordial Magic was primarily used by the oldest entities in existence. The most notable users being Ophis, Great Red and in the last fourteen years, Blake Ouroboros, the Dragon-Gods and the Infinite Demi-Dragon Goddess. And the latter of the three had been starting to try and teach her mate how to use Primordial Magic, as Luna Pandora Lovegood's status as a Demi-Goddess of Chaos gave her the potential to use the style of magic and able to harness the power of Chaos, the results of which were… very varied.
Sometimes using the power of Chaos through Primordial Magic caused something random and minor to happen, like old items breaking with comedic timing or a cube of sugar getting catapulted into someone's mouth (which Blake impressively managed to catch with her teeth before chewing on it), to some more chaotic results, like most of the area around the Lovegood house getting caught in a violent series of storms that lasted for days, the house of a rather rude neighbor even ended up burning down to the ground after being struck by lightning! Thankfully nothing other than some property was damaged by those storms.
During a particularly loud and stormy night, a few days after the initial experiment that started the bombardment of the area with violent weather, Karna asked her parents if she could spend the night with them after being woken up by the sound of thunder, which they let her. The fact that both Blake and Luna were naked and breathing heavily when Karna showed up went completely over the Reincarnation's head. Karna slept peacefully for the rest of the night, finding the warmth of her parents too comforting for her to complain about the fact that her parents smelled funny.
