I really appreciated it and this gave me inspiration to work on the next chapter and here, the story will give more emphasis on what happened to other countries outside Japan during the pandemic, which would show how its leaders are trying (?) to cope with the situation at hand…

Ch. 39: Ochita sekai part 1

As Japan is shown to be struggling with the chaos that enveloped almost 75% of the entire landscape due to the increasing numbers of the undead, in which it got worsened due to some corruption from the military, which went unnoticed, the citizens are slowly being overwhelmed by the assaulting zombies and the policemen who are being ordered to shoot them down, the scene shows that things are not so well outside the country.

One example being China, where the Chinese president and his cabinet are still in denial about the undead and following his advisers' foolish advices, he ordered the military to take down the PROTESTERS, which the soldiers obeyed, believing that the people are just using GIMMICKS in an effort to spook the soldiers.

The soldiers began to open fire and shoots down the zombies, and while some fell to the ground, they slowly got back up, and while undaunted at first, the soldiers are starting to doubt their efforts as the zombies are slowly approaching them despite being riddled with bullets and other high-powered ammunition.

Some of the soldiers are starting to back away but the commanding officer ordered the soldiers to maintain their position and keep firing until the protesters are taken out for good, reminding them that they must win to earn the honor of their president as well as to show the power of communism.

The soldiers blindly obeyed despite showing reservations because of the situation they are in.

"Shì de xiānshēng!"

However, the zombies kept on approaching and eventually bit some of the soldiers, and there the soldiers are starting to buck under pressure but the commanding officer ordered his men to stay and fight to the end, reminding them not to disappoint their president, Xi Jinping-Pongball, or else they will be branded as cowards and lose their place from the Chinese military.

Again the Chinese soldiers blindly obeyed as they have no sense of decision as they have been indoctrinated by communism brought about by the military.

"Shì de xiānshēng!"

As the commanding officer intimidated the soldiers into following orders, the soldiers were pressured to keep on firing their guns yet the zombies kept on coming, and the soldiers told their commanding officer that they need to retreat and regroup as the zombies coming and are not brought down, which it shows that the zombies continue to advance despite being riddled with bullets.

But the commanding officer insisted that as the proud soldiers of communist China, it is their sworn duty to defend their ground, and reminded them that after this they will take over the entire South China Sea, starting with the Philippines, saying that Xi Jinping-Pongball has stealthily duped Philippine president Du-Dirty-Minded into getting friendly with China in exchange for certain economic favors.

However, the commanding officer did not notice that one of the bitten soldiers died, but revived as a zombie and grappled him from behind and began biting his neck as the zombie began consuming the officer, which he screamed out in pain as he is slowly being eaten alive, just as other bitten soldiers were turned into zombies and joined in having a BLOODY SMORGASBORD.

"RRRRAAAGGGGHH!"

"RRRRAAAGGGGHH"

The surviving Chinese soldiers saw this and became horrified, which they lost their nerves and ran for their lives, leaving the commanding officer behind as he is being eaten alive as he screamed for help yet no one heard him except for the zombies as they feast on his body.

At the palace Xi Jinping-Pongball is watching the live TV news and saw the progress of the situation within the streets, and despite seeing the footage of the masses being bloodied and moving at a strange way, he seemed to be in denial about the fact that the masses are now an army of walking corpses, and he agreed with his advisers that they are facing an insurrection and accepted their suggestion about using force to keep them back.

The advisers were pleased as it would mean that they would receive additional financial funding and showed courtesy and gratitude towards the Chinese president.

"Very well…use whatever means necessary to keep the insurrections back. Do whatever it takes. Don't hold back."

"Oh, thank you your excellency."

Suddenly, a political ally of Xi Jinping-Pongball came rushing in and locked the door before using a table to barricade it, which surprised everyone inside the meeting room, and they asked him what is wrong, sensing that he appeared to be acting cowardly and thus may put the communist power's image at risk if the masses were to see this.

The politician then told everyone that the masses who appeared to act in an insurrection are not what they appeared to be, and revealed that something really happened, describing what he saw a while ago, such as the masses walking slowly and are EATING every living person they see, then once the victim dies, he/she would be brought back to life as a walking corpse and there they repeated the process and everything else.

Xi Jinping-Pongball dismissed the words as rubbish and tells his political ally that he is simply being fooled by the rebellion tactics just to make him lower his guard and tells him not to be cowered as he believed that their army will take out the insurrection with no problem.

"Now stop acting like a scaredy-cat and…"

"I am not making this up! A pandemic is already engulfing China!"

"You are being deceived. There is no…"

"There is! I saw it!"

"Your cowardice is making me feel disappointment towards you…"

"You are the fool! You refused to see what is happening! A rabies-like plague is taking place!"

"There is no plague. Just an insurrection…"

"!"

However, loud gunshots were heard outside the meeting room and this made Xi Jinping-Pongball surprised as he did not expect something like this to happen, and there one of the presidential guard uses his radio and asked a guard outside what is happening, and there everyone inside the meeting room were surprised when the guard outside said that the attackers have breached the security parameters and infiltrated the palace.

Moreover, the guard said that the attackers are acting like cannibals as they bite away their attackers before EATING them, and said that he suspect that a rabies-kind of ailment has struck China, stating that he saw the victims being eaten alive were brought back to life and so on.

Then the guard is heard screaming while hearing moans from the zombies before the communications were cut off, which Xi Jinping-Pongball appeared to be in denial as he refused to believe what he just heard, and told his bodyguard to try contacting the army and have them rescue everyone here, and as the bodyguard did so, he is surprised that there is no response.

"No response."

"What?"

"There is no response."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes."

"Keep trying."

"I will."

"…"

The political ally is beginning to buck under pressure and said that this is karma for repressing people's freedom and for the atrocities the communist power it caused just to hold onto power, which Xi Jinping-Pongball told him to calm down and assured that everything will be okay.

However the door began to break and a hole was made, where one of the zombies partially entered the hole, where the president and some of his political allies were shocked at seeing this, and are in disbelief at seeing a real zombie, and then more holes are made as more zombies are barging their way in, and the president is now totally in denial that his control over China is slowly slipping from his grasp as his political allies are screaming in terror as the door is on the verge of giving way.

Outside the presidential palace, a helicopter is hovering above as an independent news crew who have no ties with the government, are reporting the scene where the cameraman showed the live footage where the zombies have invaded the palace, and after some 10 minutes, the news crew saw Xi Jinping-Pongball and his political allies came out, bloodied and full of bite marks with TEARED FLESH, and are now among the undead.

The reporter and her cameraman now realized that China has fallen and attributed this to the president's ignorance and now he has paid the price for devoting everything to militarization and for invading islands of nearby countries just to militarize it and for forsaking its people in exchange for military power. The helicopter pilot tells the reporter to let the world know so that other countries who managed to keep the chaos at bay might learn a lesson from this.

"You heard me. Show the world what you saw."

"Um…"

"That's…"

"Trust me. It'll help other world leaders…especially after seeing what a brainless asshole the Chinese president is…"

"Well…"

"You do have a point…"

"Then you better start reporting…"

"Okay…"

Another helicopter is seen hovering, which consists of a team from BBC, and they too witnessed what happened and decided to make their discovery live so as to let the world know what has happened to China.

Elsewhere, the scene shows that it is morning, and the scene shifts at the abandoned building where Kyosuke Munakata and his group are taking residence, as they fortified the defenses to make sure that the undead won't force their way in and so far he managed to save a number of people and slowly turned them into brave soldiers as they managed to procure weapons to defend themselves and to see if there are those who are in need of help.

Munakata is currently overseeing the situation and so far things are pretty calm, as he takes into consideration what the new additional survivors told him about what happened, such as the surviving soldiers being forced to shoot down people who were not infected and to maintain their ground despite the fact that the zombies keep on advancing.

There Munakata told the surviving soldiers and policemen the apparent weakness of the zombies and now the survivors are now willing to work with Munakata as he said that he believed that their superior commander intentionally wanted the survivors dead for a reason.

By then Sakakura came and said that things at the streets are peaceful at this time as there are no zombies showing up, and there Munakata said that he would give an order to have survivors screened to see if they have any bite injuries in order to determine if they can still be saved or to have them undergo mercy killing.

"And that's my order."

"You sure about that, Munakata?"

"Yes."

"I see…"

"This is for the best."

"I trust your judgement, Munakata."

"Thank you for the support, Sakakura."

"Sure."

By then Bandai came and told the two to open the TV, which Sakakura did, where a British reporter is seen live showing the situation at China, and there the live footage showed the fate that struck the presidential palace, as well as showing that Xi Jinping-Pongball and his political allies are now amongst the walking corpses.

Sakakura scoffed while saying that China has finally PAID ITS DUES because of their foolishness, which Munakata agreed, and now the Chinese military has finally showed that their obsession in militarizing everything has a breaking point, and now they learned too late that their selfish actions would backfire at them when least expected.

"So the mighty China has fallen…"

"Heh. Serves them right."

"Now they realize that their country is not infallible as they brqgged."

"That's what they get for trying to usurp the South seas."

"Now the rest of South East Asia won't have to worry about a bullying nation…"

"Which brings to mind another thing."

"Like what, Sakakura?"

"America."

Then the scene shifts to the TV where a live footage is shown where news crew from the United States of America are seen and reporting from the White House, as they tried to get statements from the current president, Donald Trumpet, where they eventually learned that Trumpet and some of his cabinet members have already left.

Moreover, the vice president, Mike Pence-seal is also not at his office. It is also announced that the Senate president and the house speaker were among the perished, thus North America is leaderless which further drove the country into turmoil as both Trumpet and Pence-seal's whereabouts are unknown at this time.

Sakakura aired his disgust at seeing how the SUPER POWER of the world is like that, which Munakata attributed to the foolishness of the Americans who voted him as president because of his charisma and that they only voted him because of his promises of making America GREAT AGAIN.

"And now the United States is the next to fall."

"No doubt about it."

"The blame falls on the people who voted Trumpet for being swayed by his false promises.

"Yeah…it shows how stupid the American voters are…they should have voted wisely instead of being swayed by Trumpet's promise of America becoming great again and all that bullshit…"

"And for once I agree with you, Sakakura."

"Guess we are stuck…"

"For now."

"…"

Hope you liked this chapter, though it mostly focused on some of the world leaders (fictionalized versions) who seemingly paid the price for ignorance, yet Munakata appeared near the end…
