This is mostly exposition as I needed to show the house they may live in. Enjoy!

They landed on a dusty track that ran past the front of the house and wound along the coast towards a village in the near distance. Harry looked to see a two-story cottage made of grey stone with a slate roof. Some of the roof tiles seemed to be moving slightly in the wind but otherwise, it seemed structurally sound. Leading off the track was a small area with a rundown wooden cart and just past the cart was a small wall that held a front garden. The front garden had plenty of weeds and bushes but the grass was magically short. Harry led the way pushing open the old weathered gate to the side for it to fall off. Both Harry and Ginny burst out laughing as they placed the gate to the side and walked up the worn stone path.

"Well, I'd say the Gate needs fixing," Ginny said offhandedly. Harry nodded in agreement and looked at the door. The paint was blue and peeling and just above an odd-looking crest door knocker were the words

"Potter Cottage"

Harry wrapped his hand around the door handle and felt it vibrate under his hand before hearing the magical locks click open.

"I'm guessing it recognises me as a Potter" Harry murmured as he pushed open the door to a flagstone hallway with some broken coat hooks in the corner and a layer of dust.

"I'm guessing no house elves then" Ginny exclaimed as she wiped her finger over the coat hooks for her finger to come back black with dust.

"To be honest I have no idea how long this house has been empty they might have died". On the left of the hallway were some worn carpeted stairs with a door at the bottom of them and to the right were two more doors, one at the end of the hallway past the stairs and one immediately next to the broken coat pegs. Ginny had already started wandering through the nearest door and he followed to find himself in an old but grand looking Kitchen with a small kitchen island in the middle all with satisfying dark blue doors and white marble countertops. The flooring was the same as it was in the hallway and it was almost impossible in some places to see the true colours of the room as the dust had turned most flat surfaces a murky grey. Harry noticed a door at the bottom of the room and pushed it open to a worrying creak.

The stone changed into a soft and seemingly recently installed cream carpet and Harry looked up from the floor to see the most beautiful view he had ever seen outside of Hogwarts. The back wall of the room was mostly made up of two large and sculptural Windows and large glass doors the same shape as the windows. Through the windows, there was the back garden which had a miniature quidditch pitch standing proud among the bushes and crawling weeds but even better than that was that the only thing separating the garden from a small ledge that leads onto the beach was the wall of the garden.

"Wow."Harry heard Ginny sigh beside him "I mean a mini quidditch pitch overlooking the sea. It doesn't get much better than that" Harry chuckled in response and tentatively wrapped his arm around her shoulder. Almost outwardly sighing in relief when he felt her relax into him he began to survey the room. The room was rather large but not big enough to lose its cosiness and had several squishy sofas all centred around a large fireplace with an elaborately shaped mantle adorned with the same crest as the door knocker. On either side of the fireplace were bookshelves still filled with heavy leather-bound books and various ornaments. On the wall opposite to the fireplace was another large glass door leading onto a decrepit outdoor eating area.

Narrowly preventing himself from falling over an ancient-looking coffee table he knocked into Ginny who lost her footing and they both fell on one of the sofas with a thud causing billows of dust to enter the air.

"Oops" Harry stated bashfully and looked at Ginny who merely laughed raucously and pushed his fringe out of her eyes. Harry couldn't help but feel his last feelings of contempt melt away at the sight of Ginny's smile directed at him. The warmth in her eyes was back as well as a smidge of mirth.

"Come on let's check out the other door" Ginny called as they walked out of the living room's other door in the top corner of the room and ended up back in the hallway. They strode hand in hand to the room at the bottom of the stairs to discover a formal dining room which still seemed rather cosy but was clearly a place for meetings and the like. Apart from the small cupboard under the stairs, they were satisfied they had explored the entire downstairs; they walked up the worn carpeted stairs to see six doors and a landing which went back towards the front of the house.

The first door was on a small landing left of the staircase and was hidden behind an ornate bannister a currently empty office which only held an empty desk and a barren bookshelf lit with the light from a single medium-sized window that overlooked the empty coastline past the house. The next room was a family bathroom with a clawfoot tub and multiple heating charms making the white tiled floor feel warm underfoot. Harry walked into the bedroom next to the bathroom and it was obviously a nursery that connected to the master, with blue walls and thick grey carpet mostly covered with an old looking blue rug which a white crib was perched upon as it leant against the wall. There were several shelves lining the walls all empty and thick with dust but Harry stayed looking at it for a second imagining it with all of Teddy's toys lining the shelves and reading him to sleep in front of the single window in the room that overlooked the sea. However, he was ripped out of the fantasy of explaining to Teddy that he could get a bigger room because of a baby god sibling by a gasp from Ginny who had already ventured through the door that leads to the master. Harry hurried through to see a very Gryffindor themed room with red painted walls and white carpet. In the middle of the room was a large four-poster bed with red and gold curtains but oddly nothing over the top of the bed but when Harry looked up to see why he saw what Ginny was gawking at. The ceiling was enchanted as the night sky with stars and planets dotted across it. It was like the Great Hall but even more beautiful as Harry could merely peer up as he went to sleep. There were also two large windows overlooking the sea (and the personal quidditch pitch) as well as an en suite bathroom. The other two bedrooms were similarly sized guest bedrooms which were rather plain in colour but they found themselves back in the master bedroom looking out over the back garden.

Harry has his arms wrapped around Ginny's neck and was resting his head on hers

"Harry?" Ginny asked

"Hmmm "Harry replied

"If we dedusted this place could you travel from here to Hogwarts?"

"I definitely could"

"I mean it's quite large for just the two of us but half the time it will be Teddy as well and Ron will need a place to stay when he inevitably pisses of the Hermione"

"We definitely need a Ron room. But won't Teddy love being by the sea? I mean we could teach him to fly on our own quidditch pitch"

"I know! And I could practice my shots!"

"This could be our home"

"Yeh all we need to do is tell my family that we're moving in together and hope that my brothers don't strangle you before I can bat bogey them" Harry chuckled nervously

"Oh don't worry Potter" Ginny began with her usual warmth swinging round to face him "They love you and any problems, I hear my hexing skills are legendary"

When they eventually apparated back to Hogwarts and beat the hordes returning from Hogsmeade they sat down in the common room and waited for Ron and Hermione to return. 30 minutes later Ron and Hermione came wandering in and froze at the sight of them

"Are you two-" Hermione asked cautiously

"We're good now Hermione" Harry supplied

"Where have you two been then? You could have at least told us I mean we were worried you two were breaking up or something"

"Sorry Ronald we were looking at the house we are going to live in when we graduate" Ginny answered him making Ron gawp awkwardly

"It's not far from Ottery actually and Harry inherited It"

"I'm assuming it's better than Grimmauld Place" Hermione continued

"The master bedrooms ceiling is enchanted like the Great Halls" Harry explained

"Oh wow."That was all Hermione said and Ginny, wanting to wind up her brother more, loftily said

"It also has a nursery which we're going to keep. No point getting rid of it if we need it in a few years"

Ron's jaw hit the floor and Harry and Ginny couldn't stop themselves from bursting out laughing.
