Even though he had helped develop it, Peter couldn't help but to be impressed with the holo technology that was allowing Kurt to be in a room with people who knew nothing about mutants and secret identities. Granted it was really just Betty and Gwen but both of them were smart enough that if given enough pieces, they'd be able to put it all together. He leaned on the kitchen bar and looked around the room. It was his idea of a perfect party. Not too loud and no one was being obnoxious. It was just different groups of friends all meshing together nicely.

Midnight struck and obligatory kisses were given. It wasn't too long after midnight before people started to leave. Gwen, Betty, and Ned were the first. Once Ned and Gwen had discovered they both dealt with what was effectively head injuries, they became fast friends. Gwen had used the excuse of the New Year's Eve party to surprise them with the news that she was going to be back at MIT in January. The weight of Gwen's injury had weighed heavily on all five boys so the news that she'd be back in Boston in a couple days was a relief. Peter watched the elevator doors shut and turned back around as MJ handed him his phone. "You've got three missed calls, and it's ringing again."

Peter frowned at the phone and slid his thumb across to answer it. He couldn't even get hello out before he heard Matt on the other side.

"Are you in town?"

"I'm at the tower." Peter glanced over at Johnny who had recognized the look on his face and made his way over. "What's wrong?"

"Foggy was found about three hours ago. Beaten and left for dead. They've got him stabilized but no one has seen Jen all day. We think we've tracked her to the docks but we need help."

"How much help?" He was already cycling through what Jen being missing could mean. He looked over at Wyatt who was now standing next to Johnny.

"Your dad in town?"

"No, but I've got four others who can hold their own. Which docks?" He glanced around the room which had gone silent and was listening to Peter's side of the conversation.

"Pier 98. We'll wait for you."

Peter listened to the click in his ear. Pulling the phone down he hit dial again.

"Hey kid, calling to wish us a happy new year?"

"Dad, we've got to go out. I just got a call from...". He stopped himself from saying anything else, realizing he'd blow Matt's identity. "He thinks Jen's in trouble." He could feel Wyatt tense next to him. "We're going but I wanted to give you a heads up since.."

Tony cut him off. "I'll meet you there. Have Karen send the coordinates. I'm 10 minutes out. Be careful."

For the second time he heard a click in his ear. Triggering his suit, he realized Wyatt and Davis were already in the elevator, heading to the floor below and where all of their tactical gear was currently stashed in duffle bags. He looked over at MJ. "We'll find her." Glancing over at Warren, Doug, Kurt, Kitty and Amanda, he debated what to do with them. Deciding there was too much unknown, he nodded at Amanda and Kitty. "Stay here and hold down the fort. We'll call if we need backup but I'm not sure what we're walking into."

The elevator doors slid open and Wyatt trotted over fastening his vest. Davis stopped behind him. "Where to?"

"Pier 98." He pulled up an aerial on his phone. "Somewhere in the shadows." He watched Davis study the image for a moment then turn towards the most open area and form a portal. Flames and Ice fully formed, Peter stepped into the portal, knowing the four others were behind him.

Luke tilted his head and watched the a portal form at the end of the darkened alley of containers. Crossing his arms he looked over at Daredevil. "Who did you say you called?"

"A friend." Matt turned his head in the direction of the five new arrivals.

"Your friend has some pretty high powered playmates." Jessica watched the five figures make their way towards them.

"You don't know the half of it." Matt nodded at Peter as he stopped in front of him. "Who are your friends?"

"Iceman, Torch, Slipstream..." He glanced back at Wyatt and shrugged. "And Wyatt..we can't come up with a good alternative."

Matt shook his head. "I've got one of those too...Jessica, meet Spider-Man." He nodded towards Luke and Danny. "Luke Cage and Iron Fist." He turned back towards the shipping containers. "Bad guys are that way. Lots of guns and we aren't entirely sure where she is." He looked over at Luke. "Based on a previous tangle we think they also have super soldiers...or something close."

"Super soldiers we can handle."

Peter smirked under his mask at the looks Johnny received and shrugged. Johnny wasn't wrong. "Ok, got a preference on plan?"

"Take down the bad guys, save the girl. Didn't get past that." Matt studied Peter's friends. He knew Wyatt from the couple times he had come by the office to bring Jen lunch over Christmas. Wyatt was smart and would put two and two together once he was sure Jen was safe. He'd deal with the fall out of so many people potentially knowing who he was later.

Peter zoomed in on the docks and watched the movement for a moment while he flipped through the information on his HUD. "I'm picking up radiation coming off the barrels they're loading into the containers...a lot of gamma." He glanced back at Wyatt and Davis. Bobby and Johnny, when fully iced and flamed, could withstand radiation. "The three of us can handle the radiation..."

Luke shook his head. "I'm good."

Peter smiled under the mask. He was incredibly curious at this point about Luke but he could figure it out later. "Ok, the four of us will take the ones closest to the container. Davis, portal Iron Fist and Jessica and take the right flank. Daredevil and Wyatt take the left." He paused for a moment when Jessica started to protest. "They have coms, you don't. We've got to have a way to communicate." Getting Jessica's eventual nod, he looked back at Johnny, Bobby, and Luke. "Torch and I will go high, you two go low." Not waiting for a response, he flung a web to a light pole and propelled himself upwards, knowing at least his team was following.

Luke shook his head as he watched Torch follow Spider-Man. "He does not mess around." He jogged through the shadows approaching the group at a slower pace until he got close. The man of ice was matching his speed. He had been hesitant when Matt had suggested calling for backup but as much as he hated to admit it, he knew taking this group on their own wouldn't have gone well. He could tell Matt didn't know the other four any better than the rest of them but they all knew who Spider-Man was and what he could do.

As they breached the line between shadow and light, Luke picked up speed, barreling into the group moments after Spider-Man had flung a series of webs from above, drawing not only the attention of the group loading the barrels but also a significant amount of gunfire. Luke realized quickly that in addition to the four of them being able to withstand the gamma radiation, all four of them were also bullet proof. The discover of that fact seemed to take their opponents off guard.

Peter flipped over the heads of their opponents and flung webs at the weapons in their hands. Yanking, the guns flew upwards and towards the water. The more weapons he could remove from the fight, the better off the other two groups would be. He threw a web grenade over his shoulder as he landed, knowing it would hit the two men he had just flipped over. "Karen, can your scanners find Jen."

"No, Peter. The radiation is making it hard to distinguish signatures."

Peter flung another web grenade, tying up another opponent's legs. As he was landing, he was knocked to the ground by what he was assuming at this point an ox or maybe even a freight train. He skidded across the dock on his back as momentum carried both of them to the edge. The suit provided some cushioning but no where near enough. He felt a fist connect with his midsection. Pinned on his back he couldn't get enough leverage to trigger his web-shooters. The freight train was momentarily displaced as a blur of fire moved it off his chest and drove it into the wooden pier. Peter rose to his feet as he heard splintering below him. Shooting webs, he reinforced the pier. The last thing they needed was to have to fight in the water. Glancing at the barrels he mentally added that it would probably be a good idea to keep gamma radiation out of the Hudson River.

Firing taser webs, he hit the closest combatant while checking down the rest of the blended team. Davis's group had effectively cut off any escape or any backup from arriving. One look at Wyatt told him exactly what his plan was. He had one of the men that had been overseeing the moving of the barrels into the containers in a chokehold. A few moments later the man dropped to the ground and Wyatt's voice came through the coms.

"They put her in one of the containers."

Peter knew Bobby and Johnny had heard because he could hear container lids being ripped off. "We'll find her. Keep your distance." Before he could turn to help he felt himself being pulled backwards and tossed across the pier. Landing on his feet he readied a taser web. Before he could trigger a shot, his attacker was hit with a repulsor blast.

"Kid...this is a pretty big party. I probably should have brought some more friends." Tony landed next to Peter and watched FRIDAY's scans roll across his HUD. Peter would be bruised but so far no broken bones.

"Well, the cops haven't shown up yet so it can't be much of a party. See if FRIDAY can get through the radiation. We think they put her in one of the barrels." Peter flung a web at one of the men charging Iron Man and jerked him to the side. He wondered exactly how stupid you had to be to see Iron Man and think that charging him would be a good idea.

"Well, now you jinxed it Peter." Davis's voice piped through the coms. "Police approaching from...". Davis paused for a moment and looked at flashing lights approaching from three different directions. "...everywhere. We're about to have a lot of company."

"Contain while we find Jen." He looked over and saw that Bobby was moving to do exactly what he was about to ask him to do...create an ice prison until the police could take custody. He looked over at his dad. "Anything?"

Tony studied the readings. The gamma radiation would prevent him from detecting life signs, even if there were some. So instead, he focused on the abnormalities. Moving forward, he fired a repulsor blast at one of the men trying to run for it. "That container...maybe mid way back."

Closest to the container, Johnny pulled the door off its hinges and started pulling out barrels. "Let me know when I'm close." Without looking, he knew Wyatt was watching him, probably in closer proximity than he should.

Tony joined Johnny and pulled barrels out. "Maybe one of these." He looked over as Peter started pulling off lids. The industrial sludge that filled the barrels caused the radiation levels to spike. "Johnny, reseal the lids once we've cleared them or New York is going to turn into a wasteland."

Nodding, Johnny retrieved the lids and melted the metal together, encasing the contamination. Keeping his eyes on Peter he watched him rip the lids off of 15 containers before he paused, lid in hand.

"She's still alive." Dropping the lid he reached into the barrel and wrapped his arms around Jen and pulled her out. Turning around, he started to instruct Davis to open a portal to the compound. He paused when he saw what seemed like the entire police force with their weapons trained on everyone...bad guys and good guys. He saw Captain Stacy make his way through what had suddenly become a large amount of people. "Captain Stacy, there's too much radiation. Don't come any closer." Peter was watching the readings spike on his own HUD.

"This is quite the mess you all have created." George Stacy paused, heeding Spider-Man's warning. "And such an interesting mix of characters. I've got Daredevil and some guy that's been going by the name of Iron Fist, Luke Cage, a female I'm not familiar with, a guy made of ice, two guys in tactical gear, and a guy on fire. And then there's Spider-Man and Iron Man. For some reason I'm not surprised you're here. And all of you seem to be taking out a bunch of thugs that are what, illegally dumping contaminated waste? It's like some weird super hero team up. I would think that with everything that has been going on everyone might have opted to keep a low profile."

Peter took a step forward. "Rescue mission. She's alive but we need to get her some help."

"And I need answers. I'm tired of masked vigilantes who think they're helping." Captain Stacy looked around and noticed Daredevil moving forward. "You can get her help but I want everyone unmasked. I want to know who's destroying my city."

Tony stepped forward and retracted his helmet and mask. "You know me. That's enough. She needs help now. Not when you untangle all of this."

"That's just it Mr. Stark. It's not enough." He rubbed a hand over his face and looked at the girl in Spider-Man's arms. "We can transport her while we 'untangle this'."

Peter turned and handed Jen to Johnny. "Portal now. Take all of them. Turning around he retracted his own mask. "How about now. Is this enough."

A/N: Huge thanks to Darth_Nuisha over on AO3 for helping me figure out Jen's story line. Ever since I introduced her I haven't been able to get a storyline in my head that works. DN has some great ideas. Hopefully I did the idea justice.

I really thought I'd be able to wrap the whole story up in one chapter but it would have ended up being too long. So, stay tuned. I think I can wrap it up in one more chapter.
