This is the very last episode for Jacqueline Sloane heading to Afghanistan with Special Agent Gibbs to rescue a number of children and women kidnapped by the rebels. It's a very sad occasion for the NCIS agents mainly Gibbs and the Marines with Colonel Stan Burley in charge.

Actually, it was the next day when Gibbs doctors had come into his room to check on him. Doctor Cyril Taft with his chart had been going over the notes made from the overnight. He walked in to see his patient sitting up on his laptop to keep him busy.

"Doc what's the word?" Gibbs needed to say with lifting his head from the laptop.

"Good news you're going home tomorrow. I will set everything into motion with the paperwork my friend. However, before you're able to go back to work at NCIS. You're going to be needing once again to be talking with Doctor Confalone and Doctor Anthony Sterling?"

He was able to the stiffness of his body at the mention of talking to the doctors once again in order to get his job back after getting injured. "Fine Doctor. You're a real killjoy for the most part.

"Thanks. I will need to check your wound area," he announced with the nurse coming in as per instructions to change the bandages, while Doctor Taft needed to be in surgery on the eighth floor for a heart attack victim.

"Don't worry Special Agent Gibbs I won't bite you?" she needed to say with a hint of a smirk on her face. She had gone to work with cleaning the wound area with the solution before placing back on the pressure bandages. Afterward, she was given an order to give him another one of the pain medications.

Just after the food tray had arrived with Gibbs pleased with having to be hungry as a bear in spite of the fact that there was nothing else to eat.

"Thanks," Gibbs said with moving the tray closer to him since the nurse had finished with her work on him. Thank god that there was coffee to start with his breakfast before digging into the eggs.

He was anxious to get out of the hospital and back home to plan his vacation to Florida to see his daughter and grandchildren.

Grabbing the remote with turning on the TV to see what was interesting for the local news.

There were always reports on Congress and gun control violence. So far the congress had been stalled with the new bill even though President Biden has been forcing the new gun laws throughout the United States.

Afterward, he was able to find a movie on the higher channels with a Western with Yul Brynner. Gibbs watched for a while before he was able to fall asleep.
