I'm thinking about making the "recaps" a regular thing. What do you guys think? If you want, I can do them every chapter, but if not, I'll probably just do them every now and then.
Oh, and I apparently messed something up with Peter. I thought I had been keeping his abilities the same as they were in the comics, and for the most part, I have been. But I messed up on one thing, and that's his speed.
I remember Peter being really fast, but I didn't remember exactly how fast. I looked it up yesterday, and...well, I thought his top speed was 75 mph, but it turns out he can run at 200 mph, so...I was way off. I guess I've gotta make him faster then.
"Peter," Todoroki started. "What the hell is going on here?"
Peter was silent.
"Crapcrapcrapcrapcrap! What am I supposed to do here?"
There was nothing to say. What way was there to get out of this mess? Stain just told his classmates that he was working with the League of Villains, and to make it worse, Spinner showed up wearing the Iron Spider. WHAT. THE. HELL!?
"I...I don't...look, I can explain." Peter stuttered, withering under Todoroki's piercing gaze.
Stain watched the scene before him with interest. This would be the perfect time to launch an attack and finish the brats off, but he couldn't help his sense of...curiosity. What exactly was happening here? Was Spider-Man playing both sides? Who was he really with?
"Hey! Hey, guys! I can move again! I think his quirk wore off!" Midoriya shouted, drawing the attention of Peter and Todoroki.
"Damn it. One got loose."
"Listen, there's no time for this. We need to-"
"No Midoriya." Todoroki harshly cut off the greenette. "This is the perfect time for this. One thing after another has happened that points to Peter working with these villains. I want an explanation right now. What. Is. Going. On?"
Stain turned to Spinner, who had frozen up after realizing he had just made everything so much worse.
"And who are you supposed to be? A Spider-Man fanboy?"
"What? No, I mean yes, I mean...gah, just, it's complicated." Spinner fumbled with his words. His idol was right there! They were talking face to face! "Um, Ms. Karen? How do I send these...things back to the compartment?"
"Deactivating nano-units."
The Iron Spider melted away, slowly revealing Spinner's usual outfit as the nanobots returned to the spider compartment. Stain put the pieces together when he saw what was left of Spinner's clothes.
"Ah. You're the one the girl mentioned, aren't you? My 'biggest fan.'" It was phrased as more of a statement than a question.
"Yes, absolutely!" Spinner suddenly shouted. "I greatly admire the work you've done and the message you're trying to send. You deserve the utmost respect. I have tried my hardest to get my comrades to follow your ways, but they refuse to listen."
Stain held up a hand to silence the chatty lizard. It was a bit annoying having somebody so devoted, but nice at the same time. Having followers was always a good feeling, even if it wasn't your reason for your actions.
"And what exactly is going on here?" The hero killer pointed to the boys standing before them. Spider-Man continued to defend himself to the ice boy, who listened in obvious disbelief while also keeping a close eye on Stain, his guard not lowering for a second.
"I...it's my fault. This is Peter's suit, and I'm a part of the group that attacked those boys at the USJ. Seeing me in this suit had to have raised a few questions. I don't know what to do now."
Stain listened carefully, putting his thoughts together trying to form a plan.
"I have another question. Earlier, your band of idiots told me that the Spider-Man was one of them. Is that true?"
Spinner looked confused for a moment.
"They told you what? He's not a member, he never was. He's not against us, but he's not exactly with us either." Spinner admitted.
"What do you mean?" Stain pressed.
"W-well, it's a bit difficult to explain when we're so short on time, but...he basically doesn't believe that anybody is truly evil. He disagrees with the heroes when they say that every criminal is a villain and that every villain is irredeemable. Back where he comes from, he helped criminals. If he believed they could be 'saved,' he offered a hand. Helped to reform them, make their lives better. There have been several times where he turned 'hopeless, horrible villains,' into respected heroes."
Stain was genuinely shocked. That was...unheard of. Sure, there had been heroes in the past who didn't throw around the word villain as casually as the other heroes, but to help them become heroes? Even All Might didn't go that far.
"And how do you come into this? Why does he hang around with you?"
"Basically, he's learning about us. He knows we've all done bad things, but he doesn't know why. He wants to know our reasons, why we've become the people we are, and whether or not we can be redeemed...or if we should. He sticks around so he can decide if he should arrest us or help us."
That was...admittedly very logical. It was foolish to think that every criminal had a tragic tale leading to why they are the way they are. Some people truly were villains. It made sense to confirm if the individual was simply misguided or if they were truly bad.
Stain was conflicted. On the one hand, he hated the idea of criminals becoming heroes and joining the network of fakes and money worshippers. On the other, it was Spider-Man. He probably assumed he was doing a good thing by creating more heroes, and besides, anybody trained and reformed by him had to be a somewhat decent hero instead of a total fake.
So...what happened next? Did he help the boy, or did he leave him to his fate? Stain had been listening to his conversation with the ice brat this whole time. His sentences were incomprehensible, barely even registering as words. That was clearly suspicious, but maybe it could be used to Stain's advantage.
"Hm. Perhaps I should take a chance with this one. If he isn't what I expected, I can always kill him later."
"You, follow my lead." Stain muttered. Spinner looked confused, yet he still nodded to show he understood.
Stain remained quiet for a few seconds until, out of nowhere, he began to laugh. It wasn't some random, maniacal laugh. It was mocking, taunting even.
"Good work. You managed to steal the suit as I instructed. After we kill these brats, I'll be sure to reward you."
Spinner allowed the confusion on his face to show for only a tiny fraction of a second before he composed himself.
"Of course sir. The boy didn't even notice."
"Excellent. Now, let's finish them off and leave."
The plan was flawed. Obviously, it had plenty of holes. There was always the question of why Spinner had tried to keep them from fighting, why Stain had asked who Peter was, and a handful of other...issues. Hopefully these kids either weren't that smart or they'd be too caught up in the moment to notice and they'd forget the little details later.
Now it was time for phase two of Stain's hurriedly thrown-together plan.
Attack.
Not just the brats, but Peter as well. It would greatly draw suspicion away from the boy if his supposed "allies" went after him as well.
Not giving them any more time to think about their short exchange, the two villains rushed to attack. Spinner told Karen to reactivate the suit, spreading the nanobots over himself once more.
Stain hadn't exactly worked out what would happen next. Did they kill the brats? Did they incapacitate them and flee?
There would be time to worry about that later. For now, the goal was simply to attack.
30 Seconds Ago:
Peter was having a terrible time. It didn't take a genius to figure out that Todoroki was growing more and more suspicious after every word.
Thankfully, Stain...saved him?
The laugh was realistic, the words were convincing, but something felt off to Peter. He just...knew it wasn't real.
"Oh thank god. If they didn't cover for me, I'd be screwed."
Peter felt a wave of relief crash over him. However, that relief was quickly replaced with dread when Spinner and Stain rushed him. He put the pieces together quickly, figuring that this was part of the plan to draw suspicion away from him. It still wasn't great though.
A fight was a fight. Fake or not, somebody could get hurt, and some people could end up getting arrested.
There wasn't time to worry about it though. In less than a second, they were upon him.
"We aren't done here Parker. We'll talk later." Todoroki coldly muttered before creating another ice flow. Just like the one before it, the ice was quickly cut apart by Stain.
Peter threw up one arm to block a punch from Spinner. He didn't want to fight him for real, but if this looked fake, that would only increase Todoroki's suspicions. So, gritting his teeth in frustration, Peter raised his arm and smashed Spinner in the ribs. The Iron Spider protected him from most of the damage and pain, but the impact still sent the lizard man flying.
"TODOROKI, MOVE!" Peter whirled around. Midoriya had dived into Todoroki, tackling him aside to save him from being skewered by a knife thrown by Stain. The ninja-like man hissed in frustration, forcefully pulling his knives out of the ground. He turned back to his target…
And was met with a ferocious kick to the face from…
"Iida?"
"His quirk wore off for me as well. I can move again."
Peter was relieved that Iida was okay, but something didn't add up. If they were all okay, why was the hero still incapacitated?
A quick look behind him answered his question. The man was moving, but he was in no shape to fight. There was a huge gash running down his left leg, along with a deep cut in his chest. There was no way the man would be joining the fight.
Feeling his spider sense flare up, Peter raised a hand and caught a small knife just before it flew into his face. Tossing it aside, Peter raised his fists again and mentally prepared a solution. There had to be a way to end this quickly. Some way to pretend to fight Spinner and Stain while also hindering his classmates.
Then it hit him. Literally.
With his mind wandering, Peter didn't notice Spinner slam his massive weapon towards him, taking care to use the flat side. The force from the attack knocked the wind out of Peter and forced him off his feet…
Directly into Iida, knocking the boy to the ground. That gave Peter an idea.
"Take the hits, deal the damage." Peter thought. It was risky, but it could work.
Quickly, Peter opened the message system in his suit. It didn't have Karen, but it did have decent equipment. Working as fast as he could, Peter sent a brief message to Spinner that would appear on his HUD. He saw the lenses on the Iron Spider momentarily flash, indicating that Spinner had received the message. After a quick second to read the message, Spinner sent Peter a subtle nod, ready to go through with the plan.
Leaping into action, Peter ran towards Spinner. The criminal swung his weapon sideways, hoping to land a hit on Peter's side. In response, Peter jumped and twisted sideways, gliding just above the top of the blade before landing on the ground and swinging his right leg around for a kick to Spinner's head.
The attack landed, but afterwards came Spinner's "unexpected" follow up attack.
As he was reeling from the kick, Spinner spun his body around, bringing his weapon around and smacking into Peter, who was off balance still. Just like with the last attack, Peter was sent flying, this time into Midoriya, who had jumped into the air to land a hit on Stain.
Picking himself up, Peter ran back to Spinner. This time, the lizard man raised his weapon for an overhead swing, but the attack never came.
Todoroki had slammed his right foot into the ground, creating a trail of ice leading to Spinner. The ice rose up, creating an arch shape over Peter and blocking Spinner's attack. His weapon was now lodged inside, totally useless.
"Boy!" Stain shouted, throwing two large knives in Spinner's direction. Instead of aiming for one of the boys, the knives were thrown directly into the ice arch, sticking out just in front of Spinner's face. Not wasting time, he grabbed both knives and went on the attack, taking wild swings at Peter.
Peter flipped out of the way of the attacks, landing a few jabs between hits. They barely did anything however, thanks to the Iron Spider's protection.
Finally, an opportunity for another "accident" prevented itself. Peter caught both of Spinner's hands, keeping the knives from being shoved into his face. Instead of trying to break free, Spinner swung his tail around and smacked Peter's chest, which...honestly kind of hurt. Spinner clearly worked out, if his muscular build was anything to go off of. But his tail was practically a log, so that direct hit stung.
This time, Peter took out all his classmates at once. He smashed through a mini iceberg Todoroki had created before flying into the boy himself, followed by the fragments from the destroyed glacier crashing into Iida and tripping up Midoriya.
"Okay. Plan is working I guess. That's a good thing, right?" Peter groaned, picking himself up with a hand pressed to his chest. Even the new suit couldn't take the full impact of that last attack. There were a few gashes going down the chestpiece, revealing Peter's undershirt and disabling the glowing green spider icon.
The good news was the boys appeared to be beaten. After Iida went down, Stain rushed towards him, delivering a small cut and disabling him once again. Midoriya had taken several hits from Stain, though none of them had led to paralysis thanks to the greenette not giving him a chance to lick the blood from his weapons. As for Todoroki, his quirk was taking its toll. Sweat was pouring down his left side and his right side was twitching.
"Just a bit longer. Then this'll be over."
Despite their injuries, all the boys aside from Iida rose to their feet.
"Come on guys. Just a little longer, then we can-GAH?!" Midoriya's legs buckled as he fell to the floor again. Peter looked over just in time to see Stain withdrawing his tongue from one of his knives.
Okay, good. Just like at the start of the fight, it was just Peter and Todoroki now. It wouldn't be much longer now.
"Peter, we need to work together if we want to finish this. They're too strong a team to fight without a strategy."
As Todoroki spoke, Spinner smashed his hands into the ice arch, breaking it apart and freeing his weapon. He tossed the knives back to Stain before hefting it over his shoulder, retracting the Iron Spider's mask to reveal his grinning face.
"You could just surrender you know. I don't want to kill kids if I don't have to." Spinner gloated, allowing them to see his smug face before he brought up his mask to cover it.
"Man, he is really good at acting. He could have made a career out of that. Wait, this might be the opportunity I need."
Peter reopened the message function in his suit, sending another quick message to Spinner with instructions for a specific suit function. Peter didn't need them when he wore the suit, but he kept them on anyway just in case they became necessary. Apparently, that had been the right call.
The lenses blinked, followed by Spinner tensing, sending a quick look at his wrist. Peter watched closely as the wrist section of the suit moved around, forming a small, cylindrical container.
"Never. We're supposed to be heroes in training. What kind of heroes would we be if we surrendered to villains like y-"
A white glob hit Todoroki's face, covering his mouth. Peter smiled behind his mask. Spinner lowered his arm, and Peter could swear he saw Spinner's surprised expression through his mask. He remembered the feeling he got the first time he used his webs. It was one of the best feelings of his life.
Todoroki shouted in surprise, but it was muffled by the webbing. Before he could react, Stain jumped behind him and grabbed him by the neck before smashing his face into the ground. Todoroki could handle a lot of punishment from his own quirk, but he wasn't very used to taking such fierce hits. Combined with the exhaustion caused by using his quirk too much, the impact was too much to handle and he was knocked out.
"That was...easy. He was way tougher when I fought him." Peter seriously felt confused by how easily knocked out Todoroki was. It was almost as if it was for plot convenience, because that made no sense.
Peter felt the spider sense act up and noticed Stain creep up behind him with a knife. He almost dodged out of the way, but stopped himself. This was a prime opportunity. If they played their cards right, Spinner and Stain would be to get out of here, bring Peter with them, and they wouldn't even be pursued by heroes.
So, instead of completely moving out of the way, Peter dodged just enough so that the knife would only graze his arm. The blade tore through his suit, slightly cutting his arm and drawing blood. He pretended to recoil, though it honestly didn't hurt that much.
Pretending to not be able to react in time, Peter threw himself forward, trying "desperately" to grab the knife in Stain's hand, but he was too late. Stain licked the blood from the knife and Peter felt his body instantly lock up. He fell to the ground, unable to move an inch.
"Alright, that's it for me. Now, I just hope they do this right." Peter sent up a silent prayer for Spinner and Stain to go forward the way he planned.
"Good work boy. I'll admit, you have some fairly impressive skills." Stain shot a compliment at Spinner, though his frown remained. "As were yours," he said to Peter.
"Thank you sir. Lucky for you kids, we're short on time. We won't kill you, at least, not today." Spinner gloated.
"Seriously, he's like, scary good at acting. Did he perform before he became a villain?" Peter sweatdropped at how happy Spinner seemed. It was in character, but it still felt odd.
"HEY! I found him! Native, are you all- Who the hell are you?!" A new voice shouted.
Peter couldn't turn his head, but he heard several footsteps coming from the entrance of the alleyway. Thinking quickly, Spinner retracted his mask and picked up Peter, holding him in a chokehold in front of him, giving Peter a full view of the new arrivals.
The hero from before, apparently called Native, was grinning. In his hand was a cell phone, which he had probably used to call for reinforcements. Said reinforcements consisted of about 8 heroes and a handful of cops. Among them was Endeavour, who seemed fine after his fight with the Nomus, though he was now sporting a black eye and some scratches on his hero costume.
"NOT ANOTHER STEP!" Spinner yelled to the heroes. "IF ANY OF YOU COME CLOSER, I'LL SNAP HIS NECK!"
"Yes, he's doing it!"
Things were going perfectly. Peter had been hoping for heroes [1] to show up quickly after he was "defeated." That way, Spinner could use him as a hostage so they could escape without any heroes tailing them. Now it would all come down to whether or not the heroes listened.
At once, all the heroes stopped, the smirk falling from Native's face. The only one who didn't look scared was Endeavour, who merely looked annoyed.
"Using a hostage to escape? And a student no less. Cowardly, as expected from a villain like you."
Peter felt Spinner bristle at the insult.
"Easy man, easy." He whispered, trying to calm his friend down.
"SHUT THE HELL UP! STAY BACK OR HE'S DEAD!"
"Oh? You've taken the Spider-Man hostage? Well in that case, do whatever you like." Endeavour scoffed, beginning to walk forward.
"WHAT!?" Midoriya shouted, still paralyzed on the ground. "What are you talking about!? How can you say that!? You're supposed to be a hero! How can you just allow him to die like that!?"
Endeavour stopped walking, glaring down at Midoriya's immobilized form.
"Spinner, don't stick around. Take the opportunity. Run. RUN, NOW!" Peter whispered, urging the lizard man to move. The longer they stayed, the higher the chance more heroes would arrive.
Thankfully, Spinner took Peter's advice. He slowly inched away from the heroes, Stain doing the same beside him. When they reached the end of the alley, Spinner stopped.
"Since the suit covers my fingers, it's designed to replicate my climbing abilities. Just run up the wall like I do." Peter instructed. Spinner nodded, ready for his first climb.
He threw Peter over his shoulder, turned away from the heroes, and threw himself at the wall. He flinched away, probably half expecting nothing to happen, only to be surprised when he really did stick to the wall. Getting over his surprise quickly, he made his way up the wall and onto the roof. Stain was close behind him, digging his knives into the wall to climb up.
From his position on Spinner's shoulder, Peter saw that the heroes were not pursuing them, instead opting to help the others in the alley.
Once on the roof, Stain and Spinner began running, jumping from roof to roof to put some distance between themselves and the heroes. After they had cleared a few blocks, Peter's movement began returning. He told Spinner, who set him down on the next roof.
"So, what happens now?" Spinner asked, panting slightly.
"Now...honestly I'm not sure. I guess...I want answers." Peter responded.
"Answers?"
"You said...you said only Shigaraki has Nomus, right? That means he has to be the one who released them, but why? What did he gain from this? There was no target, no special location, no nothing. So why did he do this?" Peter tried to remain calm, but he felt himself getting angrier after every word. Spinner must have felt the same, because his gaze darkened.
"Yes, that's correct. Of all the villains in Japan, or the world as a whole, only Shigaraki has access to Nomus. He's the only one who could have released them."
"Shigaraki? Is that the idiotic man-child who tried to recruit me?" Stain spoke for the first time since they fled the alley.
"Yeah, that's him. We need to get back to the bar and question him."
"We?" Spinner raised some of the scales above his right eye.
"You guys just kidnapped me, something multiple people witnessed firsthand. I can't just go strolling back. I'm gonna have to stay with you for a while."
Spinner thought for a second before nodding his head. He then shifted his focus from Peter to Stain.
"And what about you, great Stain?"
"Drop the great, it's just Stain. As for me...I wouldn't mind some answers. Attack the heroes, fine. Challenge the government, fine. But this...this had no purpose. I am no mindless assailant, I only harm those who challenge me. How many innocents died here tonight? I certainly need to...talk with this man." Stain growled, looking off into the distance. Night was ending and the sun was beginning to crest over the horizon, lighting up the city.
"Glad we're all in agreement then. Let's head to the bar."
Midoriya's POV:
Peter...was gone.
The almighty boy, the one who had easily defeated dozens of heroes, who had won the sports festival seemingly without even trying, had just been taken by villains.
And it was his fault.
All because he was crippled. All because he could get off the ground and help him.
Midoriya felt useless. Peter had helped him so many times, and he couldn't even return the favor this one time.
He barely noticed when the heroes fussed over him, nor did he notice when he was loaded into an ambulance, or when he felt control over his body return to him.
It wasn't until now that he really took notice of how bad he and the others looked at the moment. Todoroki was still unconscious, there were 3 knives sticking out of his left arm, and his nose was probably broken from when it was smashed into the ground.
Iida had scratches and gashes all over his body. It was a wonder he hadn't passed out from blood loss yet. From the looks of his droopy eyes, he probably wasn't far off.
As for himself, he wasn't any better. Just like Iida, he had many gashes all over his body, as well as several bruises from when he had been knocked around. On top of that, his arms and legs hurt from using full cowling for so long.
Overall, they were probably lucky to be alive.
Was Peter still okay? Would the villains kill him as soon as the heroes stopped looking for them? There were so many questions in Midoriya's head at the moment, and they all had to do with Peter's safety.
It took a while before they finally reached the hospital. Midoriya was unresponsive when he was led out of the ambulance, and he barely spoke when he was brought into the care room with Iida and Todoroki, who had finally woken up.
"I'm sorry."
Midoriya and Todoroki glanced at Iida, who was bowing as best he could from his position on his bed.
"This is because of me. If I hadn't pursued vengeance, if I hadn't tried to go after the hero killer myself...this wouldn't have happened. You wouldn't have been hurt, Peter wouldn't have been taken...I'm sorry."
Midoriya wasn't sure what to say. He just lost one friend, he didn't want to see another being miserable.
"It's okay Iida. You couldn't have-"
"No it's not."
"T-Todoroki?!" Midoriya whirled around to face the icy boy. His face and voice made it clear just how pissed off he was.
"It's not okay Midoriya. He can't just say he's sorry and expect this to go away. He made a stupid decision and we lost a classmate because of it. For all we know, Peter could be dead right now all because of him."
Nobody said anything. Midoriya didn't want to admit it, but Todoroki was right. This couldn't just go away with an apology.
Not wanting to argue, Midoriya slumped in his bed, closing his eyes for a moment of rest.
"Please be okay Peter. Please."
Kurogiri's Bar:
"Do you think Peter's having fun?"
"Are you kidding Toga? I read this lady's file. He'll be spending the next week catching criminals with a woman who loves telling crappy jokes as much as he does. He's probably in paradise right now." Magne chuckled. Toga pouted a little at her response, and Magne knew exactly why.
"Don't worry little sis. I'm sure he won't cheat on you."
"I-I know that big sis Mag." Toga shouted, earning a small laugh from Magne.
"In any case, what do we do?" Twice asked from the bar counter. "I'll admit, I liked listening to his stories. It'll be pretty boring around here without him. I guess I could go back to robbing corner stores for thrills, but that doesn't sound as fun anymore. Maybe I should join the circus."
"I wouldn't worry about it too much." Dabi broke in. "I'm sure wherever he is, whatever he's doing, Peter is somehow finding a way to enjoy himself."
SLAM!
Everybody jumped when a loud crashing noise echoed through the bar. They all turned to the door, which had a large dent in it. Kurogiri tensed, having a feeling he knew what was about to happen. A second crashing noise exploded through the bar, and this time, the door was once again knocked off its hinges.
Acting quickly, Kurogiri opened a warp gate, catching the door before it could crash into the bar.
"We even reinforced it so this wouldn't happen." He sighed, knowing he'd have to fix the door later.
The bar's occupants all watched the door carefully, ready for anybody to come through. Weapons were raised and quirks were readied just in case.
"Hey guys. Sorry about the door, but I really needed to hit something. I'll fix it for you later." Peter apologized as he walked into the bar, followed closely by Stain and Spinner.
"Damn it kid, what do you have against this door? You couldn't have broken anything else on your way here?" Magne complained.
"Wait, why are you here? I thought you were supposed to be gone for the next week." Twice tilted his head to the side in confusion. "OOH! DID YOU BRING US PRESENTS!?"
"Who cares? Peter's back early! Now we don't have to be bored!" Toga cheered, jumping out of her seat to hug Peter, who smiled at her.
"Uh, Spinner? What's with the suit?" Magne raised an eyebrow at Spinner's attire.
"Oh, that's...a long story."
"I hate to break up the reunion, but may I remind you why we're here?" Stain interrupted, glaring at Peter and Spinner.
"Oh, don't worry. We didn't forget." Spinner's expression darkened.
"What are you talking about? Is something wrong? Did somebody blow up? Was it cool?" Toga fired off several questions. Peter tried to smile at her, but her questions weren't far off the mark, so it was a bit difficult.
"Where's Shigaraki?" He asked the room.
Compress was about to answer, but was interrupted by a door opening across the room.
"Ah, Spinner, you're back. Oh, you two are here as well? What do you want Stain? I told you to get lost. And you, aren't you supposed to be gone this week?" Shigaraki started off strangely happy, and slowly became angrier when he saw the other two new arrivals.
As he spoke, none of them said a single word. Peter and Stain remained next to the entrance while Spinner slowly walked over to Shigaraki, his eyes down and his hands curled into fists. He stopped just in front of Shigaraki, still silent.
"What's wrong with you? Why are you wearing the kid's-"
"SHUT THE HELL UP!" Spinner lashed out, fiercely punching Shigaraki in the face, knocking his hand mask away. He then grabbed him by the hem off his shirt and pressed him against the wall, glaring at him with fire in his eyes.
"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING!?" Magne jumped out of her seat, completely bewildered by this turn of events.
"Yes Spinner, what...the hell...DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING?!" Shigaraki screamed, reaching both hands out to grab the lizard man. Before he could make contact, Peter webbed one of his hands to the wall while Stain threw one of his knives to pin the other. Shigaraki hissed in pain in fury.
"Might I ask exactly what is happening here?" Dabi didn't look or sound concerned. He seemed like somebody casually watching a movie, just there to enjoy the show.
None of the three answered him, all their attention on Shigaraki.
"You," Spinner growled. "Have a lot of explaining to do."
We're approaching the end people. Well, not really, I still have like 20 or 30 chapters planned, but we're in one of the final major arcs now.
[1]: I kid you not, google docs tried to autocorrect this one "heroes" to "herpes." On its own, that isn't that funny, but if I hadn't caught it and changed it back to "heroes," the sentence would have been, "Peter had been hoping for herpes to show up quickly after he had been defeated." I...don't even want to get into all the ways that could be interpreted. At the same time though...maybe I should have just left the error in for laughs. On top of that, every time I write "Stain," the site tries to change it to "Stalin."
By the way, would anybody mind sending me a PM with backstories in it? Like I've said before, it's been a long time since I've read MHA and internet searches usually aren't very helpful to me for this kind of thing. I kind of remember some of the villains' backstories, but I'd prefer to have a refresher so I can make some final, concrete decisions before it's too late. And don't worry about mange spoilers. I don't really care, so feel free to tell me whatever. Thank you.
Thanks for reading and remember to leave a review.
Aren signing off.
