In honors of Mother's Day, we have three short stories involving mothers. Enjoy.
It's been less than a year since Lilith took in the Blight children. They decided that they would a great day to show how much they appreciate her. Set about two weeks before Loose Ends.
Three pairs of feet slowly walked towards a large wooden door. Amity reached for the handle and peeked into the room.
"Okay, she's asleep." Amity said, "Go."
Emira and Edric walked into the room and placed a tray on Lilith's nightstand. They quickly left and a few minutes later, Lilith woke up and looked at tray.
"What's this?" Lilith asked.
She grabbed the tray and the smell of coffee instantly made her wake up fully. She took the mug and took a swig. She picked up a card and started to read it while she drank her overly caffeinated heaven.
"To the best mom in the world:
There aren't words that describe how much you mean to us. You have done more for us in about seven months then our birth parents did since we were born. We love you.
Your children; Emira, Edric, and Amity Clawthorne"
Lilith smiled and wiped a tear from her eye. She got out of bed and put her robe on. She walked out of her room, without even finishing her coffee, and walked into the kitchen. She saw her kids and smiled. She pulled all of them into a hug.
"I may be the best mom in the world, but you three... you're the best children in the world."
Lilith was happier than anyone on the Isles. She was so happy that she has the three of them as kids.
Next one. Camila has always been there for Luz, whether it's a simple scrape on the knee or Luz needing to talk in order for her to forget about the witch growing inside her, like she is right now.
Luz slammed her head on the table of her mom's kitchen. She was six months pregnant, and she was hating it.
"Why did I take that damn potion? I already have an heir, so why did I think this was a good idea?"
"Because you knew that Amity wanted another child, but she wasn't sure if she was willing to go through nine more months of this." Camila said, "I think it's sweet that you are willing to do this for her. Do you know the babies gender?"
"Well, we'll be supportive if our future Prince wants to be a Princess." Luz said.
"So, it's a boy?" Camila asked.
"Yes, don't let Amity know. I want it to be a surprise."
"Have you thought of a name?"
"I was thinking... Alexander."
Camila just started to chuckle.
"Did your father give you the idea?" Sha asked.
"Nope, I just figured it would be a nice way to honor him. After all," Luz looked away, "I killed him for something he had no control over."
Camila held Luz's hand.
"Luz, you know there was nothing you could've done. Even he said you've done the right thing by killing him."
"I... I just wish I could've gotten to be a part of a family like everyone else."
"Luz, you would not have been in a family like everyone else. You would've been treated as royalty. Hell, think about your allowance." Camila said.
"It wouldn't have been that bad, just... three thousand dollars." Luz said.
"Luz, Mija, after everything that's happened in the past twenty plus years, I can safely speak for your father and myself when I say, we couldn't be prouder of you."
Luz smiled.
"Thanks, Mami."
And finally; You may have noticed that Boscha's father was never seen or even mentioned in the "What Happened" Series. Did you ever wonder why? Well, Elizabeth knew that her daughter would be happier if her father was no longer in her life. She knew she had to make sure that Boscha is never hurt by her father again.
Elizabeth heard her daughter crying as she was hit by her father's belt again. As much as it hurt her to hear it, she had no choice but to leave Boscha alone for a few minutes. She poured the black liquid into a cup and quickly threw the bottle away. She heard her husband coming down the stairs and handed him the cup. He forcefully took the cup. He drank it and started to choke. Elizabeth smiled.
"You've hurt Boscha one too many times. I've made sure you won't hurt her anymore." She said, "That simple potion is the single most dangerous thing I've ever made. The second you die, it disappears, making it look like you died from something else. It's untraceable."
She walked over to him and pushed him to the ground and walked over him.
"Good riddance."
She walked up the stairs and entered Boscha's room. She entered and saw the young triclops, crying on the bed. Elizabeth walked over to her and held her.
"Everything will be okay, Boscha, I promise. No one will ever hurt you again."
She knew Boscha would be happier now that he was gone, maybe she would become a nicer person and make new friends.
"M-m-mom?"
"Yes, Boscha?"
"You promise that he's not going to hurt me anymore?"
"Yes, nothing will hurt you anymore. I will make sure of that."
Boscha wiped her tears away.
"Mom... I'm gay."
Elizabeth never broke the hug.
"In that case... my future daughter in law better be as sweet and kind as you." Elizabeth said, "Because I know you can be a good person."
"I can't. I'm too far gone."
"Boscha, look at me. When you were born, I knew you would become a great person, I still believe that, even if you don't."
Boscha hugged her mom.
"Thank you, mommy."
"Anything for you, baby."
And next chapter, we'll deal with more mothers. Follow, Favorite, and Review for more.
