Arc 4 Chapter 5: The Warrior's Side

A few days passed. Kenshi and Momo were heading back to his dorm. Kenshi looked a bit beaten up and Momo was concerned.

"Was someone harassing you again?" Momo asked.

"No not really," Kenshi said, "I've actually been doing a bit of training with Tokoyami."

"Tokoyami?" Momo asked, "What kind of training has he been putting you up to?"

"Well its… pretty complicated," Kenshi said, "But basically, he knows about Player Alpha's existence."

"Even I was surprised about that," Player Alpha said, "But apparently there's more to him and Dark Shadow than meets the eye."

As they were talking they saw Bubble Girl approach them. Kenshi was getting annoyed.

"I come with a message from sir nighteye," she said

"It doesn't matter how many gifts Nighteye sends," he said, "I'm NOT joining his work study!"

"It's not a gift this time." Bubble girl told him as he showed him her phone. "He wanted you to see this." She played a video on the phone, playing a video on it. "He wanted to know that Izuku Midoriya was accepted by Sir's agency. He still has one spot left and wanted to extend that opportunity to you."

"I'll let him know by tomorrow morning. I need some time to think." Kenshi told her. "And can you forward that video to me, I have some mischief to make."

"Kenshi, no." Momo told him.

"Kenshi, yes." Kenshi said as he sprinted off to the dorms.

"That damn idiot is going to get hurt." Momo exclaimed as she ran behind Kenshi. "Thanks for coming, Bubble girl, and sorry for leaving in a hurry." She told the pro hero.

Kenshi walked into Heights alliance ready to show his peers the video. However there was one person he didn't expect to see there. It was Iroh.

"Ahh, Kenshi Jotaro, its been a while, you look like you've been running extra miles," he said.

"Ah, Blacksmith what a surprise," he said, "What brings you here?"

"Mr. Aizawaa tells me you've been looking for a workstudy that isn't Nighteye related," he said with a smile.

"Yes sir," Kenshi said.

"Well I have just the solution," Iroh said.

Kenshi was riding a bus with Momo by his side. He was surprised to learn that she too would be taking part in the work study with her uncle. While they were on the bus, Kenshi was playing on his switch playing the DLC pack of Phoenix Rises.

"I see you enjoy my gift?" Iroh asked.

Kenshi nodded.

"Yea, these games are basically fuel for video game items," Kenshi said, "Its kinda how my quirk works. Whenever I see an item in a video game, I can somehow create it."

"Any game, any item right?" Iroh asked.

"Sort of," Kenshi explained, "It depends on how complicated the item is."

"Then why do you only use swords?" Iroh asked the boy.

This question made Kenshi pause his game.

"What do you mean?" he asked.

"Well based on your resume, and a few video I've seen, you tend to only summon swords from your inventory," Iroh said, "However there are more weapon ideas than just a sword."

"So what's going on with this work study?" Kenshi asked.

"I'm going to be teaching you how to use other types of weapons," Iroh said, "No knight is a one trick pony. There are dozens of weapons that can be used by someone of your stature. Like a bow, or a spear, even a two handed sword can get the job done."

"I see," Kenshi said, "But how will it help me in the…. MNHNPH!"

His sudden yelp awoke Momo who stirred awake. She opened her eyes to see Kenshi blushing a dark red while also covering his posterior with his hands.

"Momo….. Do you tend to touch things in your sleep?" he asked.

"Well I got my pillow and I tend to play with it when I'm asleep, why?" Momo asked, "Wait…. Was I rubbing your shoulders in my sleep? Sorry."

"I would've been fine with that," Kenshi said, further confusing her, "You caressed me….. And it wasn't my back."

Suddenly Momo understood what she did and she was the same blushing mess as Kenshi was. Iroh chuckled.

Meanwhile Izuku was getting his hero costume ready. Ochako and Tsu noticed him.

"Deku what's going on today?" Ochako asked.

"Well, I recently got accepted to join Sir Nighteye's agency," Izuku said, "Looks like Togata-senpai saw a lotta potential in me to be a hero and basically begged Nighteye to give me a shot."

"Oh yea I saw the audition," Katsuki said.

"What are you talking about Kaachan?" Izuku asked.

Katsuki pulled out his video and showed him the clip of the fight which ended with Izuku landed headfirst at a wall. The video reached over 2,000,000 views.

"I'm gonna kill him," Izuku said.

"Well wish I could stay and chat, but I got some makeup stuff to do for my pro license," Katsuki said, "Let's go Icy-Hot."

Todoroki followed him as they left. Izuku turned to Ochako.

"So how about you Mochi, what's new in your life?" Izuku asked.

"Well Tsu and I are joining Hado's workstudy," she said, "She really likes how we use our quirks!"

"Wow that's awesome!" Izuku said

"I know!" Ochako said, "Pretty soon I'll be more rhelp to you in combat. I'm reaally happy that Nighteye gave you a chance."

"I got Togata Senpai to thank for that," Izuku told her.

"Well looks like you're finally being known for what you have Midoriya," Iida said, "I wish you luck."

Izuku got his costume ready and headed to Sir Nighteyes agency. He saw Togata waiting outside for him.

"Hey it's all mights son!"

Izuku purposely ignored him and continued to walk.

"Riight, my bad. Izuku." Mirio greets.

"Thank you, and hello to you as well." Izuku greeted him back with a smile.

"I see you have everything ready, we should get going then." Mirio told him. "Today you'll see what an agency actually does. Hopefully sir will let you come with me for patrols in areas and the other stuff I have to do. I heard that your first internship was interrupted due to the host attacks, so he'll be explaining the basic idea of a patrol and then tell you what you can do in patrol and the works."

Izuku nods. "Thanks for standing up for me. I'm sure you must have faced a lot of resistance considering the whole relationship between dad and sir."

"No worries. Plus this was the only way for me to be able to spar with you after the exhibition match. You were holding back in that fight, weren't you?" Mirio told him.

"A little, my quirk can cause a lot of collateral damage so I limit myself to stay under 20% but I can go beyond that. Right now my max is 30. And aside from that black whip, future sight and float are augmentative quirks and not combat based so I didn't use them that much either." Izuku explained.

"And your speed?"

"What speed?"

"The one you showed yesterday towards the end of the battle with sir."

"I'm not sure. My best bet is an unconscious increase in the percentage I used." Izuku responded.

"Oh well, I'll make sure that you are able to use float and black whip in combat and not just as augmentative quirks." Mirio told him slapping his back as they entered a train to nighteyes .

As they were continuing to walk, Izuku felt like something was wrong. He saw someone walking with a child in their hands. That child had white hair that was similar to someone he knew. That someone was Eri. He made a call to Ochako.

"Moshi Moshi?" Ochako asked.

"Ochako…. we need to call an emergency," Izuku said, "I think the Yakuza might have taken Eri back under our noses."
