"Investigating the origin of the alien bomb... that destroyed the Krolotean invasion force... is still a high priority." Nightwing is giving a brief meeting to the girls.
The female heroes are consist of Wondergirl, Batgirl, Bumblebee, Luminous and Miss Martian. Luminous finds it a bit strange they have no males with them this time and didn't complain about it. She's happy to be away from Lagoon Boy because he always gets on her nerves.
"We suspect the bomb may have been smuggled to Earth via boom tube." They shared the same look before looking at Nightwing. "Watchtower sensor scans in Bialya have recorded an uptick in boom tube activity. Alpha squad. Your mission is..." He was cut off by Wonder Girl.
"Sneak behind enemy lines, recon known boom tube hotspots... and find alien tech matching the bomb." She answered happily and Luminous shook her head at her happy-go-lucky attitude. "Oh, and don't get caught or create an international incident. Right?"
"That about covers it." Nightwing smiles in amusement.
"Psimon?" Miss Martian asked him curiously.
"We have confirmation that Bialya's telepathic enforcer's... still catatonic in a Quraci hospital. After his last encounter with you. But Bialya's dictator, Queen Bee, is another story. Her ability to control the minds of men is... why Alpha is an all-female squad for this mission." Nightwing explained and Luminous smiles sarcastically at him.
Batgirl smirked in amusement before crossing her arms. "Oh, really? And would you have felt the need to justify an all..." She commented sarcastically.
"Male squad for a given mission." Luminous commented sarcastically. "Ohh! I remember how you would do anything for our lovely Celestial to make her happy."
Nightwing coughs and clears his throat."There's no right answer for that, is there? So... Nightwing out." Ended the call before he could make a fool for himself.
"Fufufu..." Luminous giggled with a huge grin on her face. "Queen Bee isn't the only woman who can mess with a man's mind." She commented.
The girls are giggling before Batgirl is looking at Luminous. "You really are evil, Lu."
"Revenge is sweet." She smirked widely and sighing softly. "Look on the bright side, at least it's our turn to shine."
"So... our devious Luminous..." Bumblebee trailed off her thoughts and looking at the blonde mage. "Which one you like them?"
"Uh... them who?" Luminous asked with a skeptical look on her face and didn't like where this lead going on. "Yeah... nope, not gonna happen."
"Ugh, come on!" Batgirl exclaimed and couldn't believe this blonde mage isn't going to reveal her love life. "Two boys, Zar! Two boys are chasing you!"
"You expect me to have a trio relationship?" Luminous cringed in disgusts and shook her head. "No, thank you and I can't have it."
"Can't or won't have relationship?" Bumblebee asked her curiously. "Girl, take Nightwing and Celestial for example. Both of them are heroes but Celestial is on hiatus because they have a sweet baby boy. They balance each other out and that goes for me!"
"In case you forget someone is chasing our head and I can't let my emotions get compromised Bumblebee." She retorted back calmly while crossing her arms. "I have a lot of problems on my plate and I don't need to add up my love life."
Few of them flinch and couldn't help but worry about her. Luminous hate people are pitying her and she had enough of it. She wishes Aaliyah is here to join them.

They manage to get in the base without being caught. Batgirl is using binoculars to observe the soldiers.
"The other boom tube hotspot have all been busts, but..." Luminous was cut off by Wonder Girl.
"But this much security must be guarding some big deal alien stuff, right?" Wonder Girl suggested.
"Our job is to find out." Miss Martian declared and looking at the Batgirl and Luminous. "Batgirl, take the north hangar. I'll take south. Bee and Luminous in the middle. Wonder Girl, hold position."
Wonder Girl looks shocked she's being held back whereas the others have their own tasks. "What? Wait, why can't I go in whereas Luminous can?"
"Leave me out of this argument will you." Luminous commented blankly and sighs heavily.
"'Cause you're Wonder Girl, honey. Not Stealth-er Girl." Bumblebee pointed out bluntly.
"No one's knocking your enthusiasm, Cass." Batgirl assured the Wonder Girl. "And if we were in a firefight... there's no one I'd rather have beside me."
"But we're trying to avoid a fight." Miss Martian explained why she needed to sit this one out. "And we need a lookout. Use the psychic link only. The Bialyans have the tech to intercept our radios. Anything goes wrong, we scatter and meet at the rendezvous point. Clear?"
"Clear." Batgirl, Luminous and Bumblebee answered whereas Wonder Girl didn't.
Sighing heavily and answered grumpily. "Clear." She gasps and closing her mouth. "I mean, clear." Noticing they disappeared and she groaned in annoyance.
Luminous silently jumps off the building and opens the air vent to get inside. She's quite grateful for being small and has small enough room to move. Sighing softly and heading straight before she heard the sound of an alarm.
"What in the Mavis is going on?" Luminous muttered under her breath before closing her eyes to sense people's presence. "I see... the psychic link is off because Psimon us here. I guess they hid him very well."
The blonde mage paused and stares at Batgirl with a deadpanned expression. She didn't think the female bat would be in these small narrowed places. "Lucky you." Batgirl commented and feels jealous of her size.
"You should've gone somewhere else than this." Luminous pointed out bluntly.
They heard small buzzing sounds to see Bumblebee in her small size. She gasps in shock to see Batgirl and Luminous are across from each other.
"Batgirl, you look like turkey stuffing on Thanksgiving..." Bumblebee commented with an amused look on her face.
"Thank you, that's very helpful." Batgirl rolls her eyes.
"This... was your escape route? I can understand Luminous because she's small but, you?" She asked with a skeptical look on her face.
"No..." Batgirl answered. "I was already here when the alarm sounded and the psychic went down. What happened up there?"
"I happen to cross paths with Batgirl." Luminous answered truthfully.
"No idea. Let's get to the rendezvous point and find out." Bumblebee suggested.
"Miss Martian is shutting down the psychic link because Psimon is here and among few villains." Luminous answered with a grim look on her face. "I had a feeling there's more to it and we need to regroup."
"You're right, Lu." Bumblebee nodded her head. "But not back through the hangars. They're sealed up tight."
Batgirl groaned and grabbing her small compact hologram map. "I've scanned the airshafts. They connect all three hangars, but they also lead to a larger chamber... twenty meters below."
Batgirl leads them in the direction before Bumblebee goes out first before them. Bumblebee gives them a signal as they get out of the vent silently. The three of them silently gasps to see a ruined ancient temple of their surroundings.
"Can you say temple of doom?" Bumblebee asked with a surprised look on her face. "This place must be thousands of years old. What do you make of it Batgirl? Batgirl?"
Luminous noticed she disappeared and groaning in annoyance. "Could this get any worse? It really does run in their Bat style." She muttered under her breath as this place is giving her goosebumps.
"Stay here and I'll find her, Luminous." Bumblebee ordered the blonde mage to stay put before she searches Batgirl.
Luminous frowned and feels another mage presence coming in. Her eyes widened in shock to see a blonde man with wings and pointed ears. "How's the prognosis?" He asked one of the researchers.
"Still the same sir. We couldn't find Kitsune's body as we speak." One of the scientists answered truthfully and the blonde fairy gritted his teeth.
"Find her! Those pesky heroes hide my beloved Aaliyah!" The blonde fairy exclaimed angrily and breathing heavily. "They don't deserve her but only me! If only Eris didn't stab my Aaliyah in the back!"
Luminous frowned and wasn't expecting this man is obsessed with Aaliyah. She remembered the hidden messaged description of the unknown mage and it happened to be him of all people. A man who's desperately wanted Aaliyah in his life.
"It was Lust who stab her heart if we're being specific, Magnus." Eris appeared out of nowhere and Luminous frowned at them.
The fairy man name Magnus scowled and looking at the dark lilac-purple-haired girl with a scowling look. "I specifically told you girls bring her to me alive! Guess what? You left her dead by the hands-on those morons."
Eris shrugged her shoulders. "We were outnumbered. Lust had her vengeance and I wasn't expecting she would kill her. Speaking of Lust, when is she joining us?"
Magnus scoffs angrily. "I'll see to it. I was so tempted to punish you for what you did to my Aaliyah but I'll let it slide."
Eris smirked in amusement. "I'll take my leave because this place bored me to death." She disappeared before Magnus could bite her head off.
Luminous frowned and didn't expect this man would punish anyone who disobeyed him. He used Lust as an example for killing Aaliyah whereas Eris managed to escape because she just nicked her. They have to keep Aaliyah's secret of being coma and letting other people assume she's dead. They have a bounty on their heads but mostly on Aaliyah due to they are one of the Fairy Tail mages.
Bumblebee came back and nudging Luminous they need to leave now. She's giving her the look and wondering where Batgirl is as Bumblebee shook her head sadly. They manage to capture Batgirl and have no choice but to report Miss Martian and Wonder Girl back.
"We've recovered and adapt. That's rule one." Miss Martian lectured Wonder Girl just as Luminous and Bumblebee arrived.
"Miss Martian is right." Both of them appeared right in front of them.
Wonder Girl gasps in surprise to see them. "Bee and Luminous! You guys are alive!"
"Good to know you have faith in us, Wonder." Luminous commented sarcastically while crossing her arms.
"Was that really in doubt?" Bumblebee asked sarcastically.
"Have either of you seen Batgirl?" Miss Martian asked worriedly.
"Captured. So we have to go. Now. I'll brief you three on the way." Bumblebee answered with a grim look on her face. "I have a plan."
Luminous didn't reveal her discoveries to them because they need to focus on the mission than getting revenge. She could feel his malicious dark magic and they stand no chance against him.
Bumblebee revealed her plan to save the abductees. Luminous is relief she couldn't sense Magnus any longer and cross paths against him yet. The blonde mage appeared out of nowhere and smirked at Junior.
"Surprise!" She yelled to grab him and throws towards Mammoth. Using her point and thumb finger to point at them. "Hikari bīmu! (Light beam!)" Golden light hits on them and Luminous smirked.
"Good job, Luminous." Bumblebee congratulated the mage. "Come on, we have to go!"
Luminous nodded her head with a smile. "You're right." Her whole body glowed and they flew off together with Batgirl who's piloting the aircraft with the abductees.
"We did it!" Wonder Girl cheered happily.
"Ah!" The girls yelled as the wings of the aircraft were destroyed.
Luminous gritted her teeth angrily as she glowed more to steady the aircraft. "Luminous!" Miss Martian cried out her name worriedly.
"I... won't let any...one die!" She yelled and her magic burst out more to control the aircraft. "Every...one are wai...ting for us!" Luminous finally control the aircraft by her magic.
The girls are amazed at how powerful Luminous is despite her age is 14-year-old. She controls her magic and the will to save others never died.
Mount Justice || February 20 03:24 EST ||
"Psimon planted mental suggestions in the minds of his doctors and nurses." Nightwing explained Psimon's condition. "They've been tending to an empty hospital bed for months. I'm sorry." He lowers his head in ashamed for not finding out the real truth.
Miss Martian explained everything to Nightwing regarding their mission and Psimon's encounter. Luminous remained silent and didn't say anything she found the final mysterious mage, Magnus.
"It had to happen eventually." It snapped Luminous thoughts to hear Miss Martian's voice.
"So, no sign of any alien tech?" Nightwing asked them curiously.
"None. Thought what we found was strange enough." Bumblebee commented and Luminous nodded her head.
"It was clear in Shimmer's mind that Queen Bee was acting as a middle man... delivering abducted humans to an unknown... partner." Miss Martian pointed out.
"We questioned all the abductees." Luminous spoke up while crossing her arms. "Most were runaways... all were kidnapped after the destruction of Malina Island and the Kroloteans."
"So if the Bialyans weren't kidnapping humans for the Kroloteans... then who is this partner?" Nightwing asked them with a grim look on his face.
Wonder Girl sighs heavily. "Another unanswered question."
Nightwing smiles softly and approaching Wonder Girl. "New questions keep the investigation moving forward. You saved lives. And you got each other home safe. It's a successful mission in my book. Good work, Alpha."
"Woah!" Luminous yelps as Batgirl ruffles her head roughly. "Hey, knock it off!"
"Girl, you always denied your new magic but guess what? You love it!" Bumblebee teased the blonde mage and she growled in annoyance. "Ohh... your sisters are proud of you! Our baby girl is growing up."
"Knock it off!" Luminous yelled angrily and pushing them away. "I hate it my magic so I'll have to make sure this thing isn't useless."
Batgirl shook her head. "You're lying but you have secretly grown used to it, Lu."
Wonder Girl nodded her head. "She's right! Why don't we reveal your true desires, Luminous." She held her lasso. "Forcing you to tell us the truth! Do you hate your light magic or not?"
Nightwing smirked in amusement for them are ganging Luminous before she knocks all their heads excluding him. The blonde mage is blushing in anger and scoffs. "You guys are impossible and I'm leaving!"
Salem || February 20, 5:30 EDT ||
Arthur is staring at Aaliyah with a worried look on his face. Her condition is still the same and no signs of improvement. Sighing heavily while rubbing his face.
"No improvement at all?" The brunette didn't bother to turn and face the person. "Still the same. Aren't you supposed to be with your family right now, Ruby?"
Ruby smiles and shook her head. "Oichi volunteered to look after Orion and Dick. Zara messaged me she found something during the mission."
"So, I've heard." Arthur pursed his lips and smiles softly. "She's growing up a lot."
"She is." She nodded her head. "How's your relationship with Barbara?"
Arthur and Zatanna broke up two years ago because he couldn't stand how she easily gets jealous between him and Aaliyah. Zatanna never believes Arthur is seeing Aaliyah as a sister despite she's still in love with Kaldur. Arthur is not the type of person to cheat someone and Zatanna still has trust issues when it comes to relationships. The brunette made it the right decision and cut her off before things get worse.
He's happy with Barbara or known as Batgirl. Barbara understands him completely and never betrayed her feelings for Arthur. The red-haired girl couldn't understand why Zatanna would ever think he would cheat anyone. She knows Arthur is a good guy and always treating you with respect and loyal.
"Steady and Barbara always come and visit to see us or me seeing her." Arthur answered truthfully. "To be honest, she's better than Zatanna."
"It's her loss for misunderstanding you, Arthur." Zara finally showed up to join them. "Barbara is better than her."
"Why am I here, Zar? It's too early in the morning and did you have sleep?" Ruby asked worriedly.
Zara smirked in amusement. "You being a young mother really suits you, Ru." Ruby blushed in embarrassment before Zara's expression turn into grim. "I know who the mysterious mage is."
It catches their attention. Arthur is looking at her golden eyes as she's telling the truth. "Who?"
"He calls himself Magnus." Zara answered and hugging her arms. "His presence is filled with darkness and already obsessed with Aaliyah. Thinking he's the boyfriend."
"I don't even know this guy." Arthur scratches his head and sighing heavily. "Ruby?"
Ruby shook her head. "No, I never met him."
Arthur frowned. "I think it's the same guy that Jade mentioned about the merging. How does he know Aaliyah?"
"Beats me." Zara shrugged her shoulders. "He's angry we're taking Aaliyah from him. He's willing to do everything in his power to revive her. He and the others didn't know she's alive but in comatose."
"Do you think... he's going to collide between Earthland and Earth?" Arthur asked out of the blue and the girls are frozen in shock. "Think about it, we have limited sorcerers in here whereas you guys have different types of mages."
"Magic as well." Ruby pointed out while crossing her arms. "How is he going to merge two worlds? Why does he need Aaliyah desperately?"
"We're going to figure this one out." Arthur assured them. "Did you inform Nightwing about it?"
"No." Zara answered truthfully. "He had a lot of problems carrying on his shoulder. This Magnus is our business and we don't want him to get involved."
"I hate keeping it from him." Ruby sighs sadly especially she takes her promises very seriously.
"We know." Arthur smiled sadly and rubbing her back. "Soon, things are going to be okay. Aaliyah is coming back to us, I'm sure of it."
Zara nodded her head with a determined look on her face. "We're going to make our mission successful!" She vowed.
It's hard for them to handle the heavy mission without Aaliyah. They're motivating themselves to save both Earthland and Earth to refrain from merging together.
