Chapter 39: The Oncoming Storm
It was the first day of school after internships. Everyone was talking about how theirs went. With Jiro having help out with a hostage situation.
Some of them had rather interesting stories like Tsuyu and some drug smugglers and Kyoka and helping out with a hostage situation.
Though what happened to Bakugo was funny as he went with a top 10 hero too, this time Best Jeanist who restyled his hair to be flat and well maintained.
Though he did blow up at some of the classmates when they laughed at his hair but it did restore it to normal.
But that wasn't the only topic talked about…
Of course there were also some conversations about Stain.
After the take down, a video had started to pop up about the "truth": about Stain and he was getting popular because of it.
And word was quickly spreading around about it.
Kaminari was also talking about it.
"You got to admire the guy." Said Kaminari .
"Denki! Seriously!" yelled Star overhearing this .
"Star is right ! What the hell! He almost skewered Iida!" said Sero.
"I didn't mean it like that… really…" said Kaminari or rather Denki.
"It's fine…" said Tenya, "What happened just showed me I have a long way to go until I'm a hero…"
"But still you got saved by Endeavor and Ryukyu…" said Sero.
"Yes… saved by them…" squad Shoto.
"Wait… how did he take you down?" asked Denki realizing something about Star.
"Look he caught me without my wand and used his quirk on me…" said Star holding up her wand forgetting that it's different.
"What happened to your wand?" asked Tsuyu.
"Oh yeah…"sighed Star., "Something happened during the week… Yadda, yadda, yadda and I had to blow up my wand…"
Those in the class that didn't believe that she had magic just figured at this point it was a magic feather. She didn't really need, she just thought she needed it.
Those that were aware of the truth about magic were just shocked .
"The fuck!" yelled Bakugo.
"You really blew up your wand?" asked Kyoka.
"Yeah… but it's fine… mostly…" said Star, "It still the same wand… it's just a bit different."
"How many in class knows the truth?" asked Shoto who honestly thought that the other three were the only ones who knew.
"Kacchan, Mineta and all of the girls." Said Izuku.
Shoto nodded.
"Now is not the time to talk about Star's wand!" said Tenya, Class will be starting soon and we need to be ready for whatever it is."
The entire class stared at their Class Representative.
"Look like Ideas back to normal." Said Izuku.
"Yeah." Said Star.
During lunch Star actually pulled Shoto along with the rest of their usual group.
After all they went through together it did make sense for Star to start dragging him along. So it did make sense that would start dragging him along…
Later it as time for Heroics Class. The class this time took the form of a race. It was a race to rescue "a hostage". It was in groups of five and the first one to get there and rescue the hero would win.
For the first one was a group consisting of Izuku, Tenya, Mashirao, Mina and Sero.
Sero ended up winning, though Izuku's training was shown to everyone during the race.
Bakugo was pissed off as he was using the same movements during the race that he would use…
Though Izuku did end up slipping and landing face first somewhere.
Which wasn't too hard as the training ground looked like a indusial facility.
There were three more races.
And then there was the final race where it was Star against Shoto, Bakugo, Mineta and Kyoka.
"Great…" muttered Kyoka who knew she was going to get last place in the race due to the combination of going up against three of the strongest in class and Mineta (who did have a suitable quirk for the race).
"Oh it's too bad that we're not racing in the same spot." Said Mineta, "It would be so nice to see Star and Jiro running."
"What…" muttered Kyoka.
"You want to say that again?" asked Star her wand glowing a sickly green color.
"Now, now… you all need to get your designated starting points." Said All Might.
All of the students got to their straining points.
However Star was still angry about what happened.
"Summon Cloudy Charm!" she called out.
That was when the cloud appeared however something was very off. First off normally Cloudy was pink but now Cloudy was a very sickly green.
"Uh… Cloudy…" said Star.
Cloudy was just breathing heavily floating there.
"Uh… cloudy…" said Star again…
"Oh hey Star…" said Cloudy who seemed either drunk or high.
"Are you okay?" asked Star.
"I'm fine Star! I feel like I have so much energy." Said Cloudy.
"Okay! That's good you can carry me to victory!" cheered Star.
"Yeah!" said Cloudy.
Star jumped onto the slickly looking cloud and Cloudy flew a few feet… then Star fell through it and started to fall being time.
However she managed to catch herself on the pipes.
"Cloudy!" she yelled.
"oh whoops." Laughed Cloudy .
"Cloudy don't do that again…" muttered Star.
"All right Star!" said Cloudy .
Cloudy flew a bit farther with Star on it…
However once again the cloud dropped Star.
"CLOUDY!" she yelled as she was dropped .
With Kyoka she was doing her best .
However thanks to her hearing, she was able to hear that exasperated yell .
But she decided to focus on her part of the race.
However the rest of the class was watching the race from a large monitor.
Everyone just stared at how Cloudy was behaving .
"Star's wand has been behind rather off since she had to destroy it." Said Tenya, "It must be affecting her spells as well."
"Wait… Star's wand has been acting strangely." Said Ochaco.
"yes… I went to visit her yesterday." Said Tenya, "And it locked me in her closet."
"Wait Star's wand is acting strangely and you didn't tell a teacher?" asked Izuku.
"Well I would have thought Star…" said Tenya.
"Iida… it's Star…" said Ochaco.
Tenya was about to say something but face palmed instead realizing they were right.
Star would most likely not tell the teachers that something is up with her wand.
"We should talk to her later." Said Ochaco.
''Actually I have something to do this afternoon." Admitted Izuku.
"We can tell her tomorrow… if All Might doesn't say anything first…" said Tenya.
Izuku nodded remembering that All Might did show up afterwards in Mewni so he knew about her blowing up her wand.
Back with Star she once again climb out of the all of the pipes and she was beyond angry while Cloudy was just laughing.
"That it!" yelled Star, "Sunshine Friendship…"
"Sunshine Friendship…" repeated Cloudy mockingly.
Star got angrier and zapped Cloudy with a spell.
"That was so rude!" yelled Cloudy .
Cloudy began to suddenly grow until it was a full blown storm.
"Uh oh…" said Star.
At the finish line Bakugo was wearing the hero sash that the winner got.
However he was irritable.
Why because he was waiting for the two gurls of the race but neither had showed up.
That was when Kyoka arrived after al she the only one without a quirk that would help her get there.
"Ah… young Jiro…" said All Might, "Do you think you can find Princess Butterfly."
"It's weird… Wand Bitch isn't here…" muttered Bakugo.
"She's having a weird problem with her spell." Said Kyoka, "I don't know what it is."
"What do you mean?" asked All Might becoming concerned.
"Is that Cloud she uses to fly, it won't listen to her and keeps dropping her." Said Kyoka.
All Might sighed.
"I know she had to destroy her wand…" said All Might, "The fact that happened it might have affected her magic."
Bakugo, Mineta and Kyoka all looked at Shoto.
"I know she has magic, I learned the truth last week." He explained.
"About damn time someone else found out…" muttered Bakugo.
"I really don't want to know how he found out if it was last week…" said Mineta .
"Yeah…" said Kyoka realizing it might have to do with Stain (which was part of it).
"I'm sure Princess Butterfly is fine…" said All Might, "We can tell her that the race has ended and all will be fine."
That was when they saw the gigantic green storm cloud looming nearby as winds started to whip around.
"Or she fucking screw up so badly…" muttered Bakugo.
All Might gritted his teeth.
He could feel a certain tickle… but he knew he had to help his student.
But also knew it could be too strenuous for him… thankfully he knew he had help.
"We all need to help Princess Butterfly." Said all Might .
"are you sure… that magic is insane." Said Mineta, "I don't know if I can handle a storm cloud."
"It will be fine… we just have to nuke that hurricane." Said Bakugo with a demented grin.
"That's a terrible idea." Said Kyoka.
"Young Bakugo;.. you can't nuke a hurricane…" said All Might.
"I was being metaphorical." Muttered Bakugo rolling his eyes .
From the viewing area they all saw the developing Storm.
"What is up with Star's quirk!" yelled Kaminari.
"It's probably because of her destroying her wand…" said Momo.
"Must be a psychological thing…" said Mashirao.
"Destroying the thing that let her use her quirk must have brought darkness to it." Said Fumikage.
That knew the truth didn't want to say that she really did blow up the (current source) of her powers.
Back with Star she endured the storm. As it started to rip stuff up.
She knew she had to stop the cloudy…
"That! Is! Enough!" yelled Star zapping Cloudy with her wand.
"You poked my fluffies!" yelled Cloudy .
Cloudy began to create a vortex that started to suck everything in.
"Princess Butterfly!" yelled All Might.
"Don't come any closer!" yelled Star.
However they were now in ranger of Cloudy sucking up everything .
All Might managed to grab Mineta and Bakugo…
However both Shoto and Kyoka.
"Oh no!" said Star seeing her two friends getting sucked up.
The jewel on Star's wand turned pink.
"Raspberry Lasso!" called out Star.
She managed to pull in Kyoka.
All Might had placed Mineta and a very angry Bakugo out of the range of the storm.
He jumped in grabbed Shoto.
Star knew she had to try that spell again.
"Sunshine Friendship Spell!" called out Star.
She restored Cloudy to normal with the spell with a flock of butteries coming from the pink cloud.
"Whoa!" said Cloudy who didn't know the chaos that it caused, "What happened here?"
Star breathed a sigh of relief.
"what happened?" asked Kyoka.
Before she could answer.
"What the fickle happened!" yelled Bakugo.
"I have no idea! Honest…" said Star.
"Princess Butterfly…" said All Might.
Star sighed.
And so the four other students that were involved in the situation as well as Tenya all met with Principial Nezu and Aizawa.
"So that happened yesterday…" sighed Principial Nezu.
"Yeah…" said Star.
"And you didn't think to bring it up to anyone?" asked Aizawa.
"Well… I…" said Star.
She noticed the looks of her classmates.
"I apologize… I should have told her to tell someone…" said Tenya.
"Have you spoken to Glossaryck?" asked Nezu.
"Today's not a good day… or will be a few days…" said Star.
"Why not…" said Nezu.
"Uh…" said Star.
(Flashback)
Star was brushing her teeth when she heard the crash.
She went to check on what it was… she founds Glossaryck laying face surrounded by a pink spirally liquid…
"Uh… Glossaryck… you okay…" said Star.
"Just a little head injury…" said Glossaryck.
"Ok then…" said Star.
(End of Flashback)
"I see…" sighed Nezu, "It probably a good idea to use your wand sparingly until you can figure out the problem with the wand or Glossaryck things it's a good idea…"
"Seriously?" asked Star.
"You ended up creating a storm and got Iida locked in your closer." Said Kyoka.
"Don't fucking use it unless you think it's safe." Muttered Bakugo.
Star sighed at that.
"I'm sure. You can fire out the root of the problem soon." Reassured Nezu.
Star sighed at that and hoped she could get the wand situation under control soon.
But little did she know was that there far more in her wand to worry about… far more than she thought…
