Portgas D. Naruto
"How does this stuff even work?" Asked Ricky as he played with Ryker's things
The other boy snatched it out of his hands. "Don't worry about how it works just keep your hands off it!" He told him
"What do you mean keep my hands off it! I wanna look!" Ricky yelled back as he fount Ryker
The two exchanged blows as foot steps could be heard behind them. "Now now boys what did I say about fighting?" Asked a sweet voice
The two immediately froze in their places and creaked their heads back to see a smiling Lucy with piercing eyes. "N-n-not t-to!?" They managed to get out
"Exactly! And do you know what happens to those who fight?" She asked them again and they shook their heads. She laughed, "Let me show you." He continued
Right on cue Russ was walking down the hall towards them. "Yo feathers, where th' hell are we goin', I-" He didn't get to finish
Lucy punched him and launched him straight out through the door and back onto the deck. "THAT'S WHAT HAPPENS!?" They both screamed
She dusted off her fist and had an annoyed look. "Well no but he called me feathers and had it coming!"
They both faulted at her hypocrisy. "Yo! Ryker! That bell your brother rang sure was loud! I think I can still hear it!" Ace spoke to the boy as he crouched beside him and smiled
Reeve threw an arm around the kid, "Yea that was one hell of a send off!"
"I personally could've gone without the part of fearing for my life after Naruto jumped off the island." Ricky huffed and Ryker nodded
Lucy just sighed, "He is quite the eccentric one. Hey Gem! You see anything!?" She yelled up to the helmsman
Not a sound could be heard from the helm. Everyone on deck sighed, "He's asleep." They chorused
"No problem! I got this! Fire Fist!" Ace yelled as he sent some fire to just graze the bottom of the metal helm before howling could be heard
"OWWWWW! WHAT THE HELL!" Gem yelled in pain as he looked down at the group who were now all laughing with the exception of Lucy
She gave him a straight look, "Do you see anything Gem?" She asked of him
He laughed, "It'll be the same answer Lucy! Nothing but clouds." He explained as she sighed
"Oh don't you start with the attitude!" Lucy yelled back up as the two started to get into an argument
Russ had finally gotten up and made his way over to the group and sat in between the two boys. "See boys this right ere is why your tryn stay on er good side." He told the two as they quickly turned to face the older man
"Why don't you take your own advice!?" The two youngest members yelled at him
Russ was about to speak again until the hilt of a sword bumped the top of his head. "Because marksman-baka is stubborn and takes pride in annoying Lucy-chan." Kinshiki spoke as Russ looked up and glared at the man who hit his head
"Awful big words for a perv!" Russ responded with venom in his voice
At this point Naruto had made his way onto the deck, with Kiji and Pedro following behind him. "Goodness what's going on now?" Pedro spoke with a sigh as he looked onto the scene before him
Kiji scoffed, "I don't know what it is but I know Russ is the one responsible."
Yuri peeked out his head from the cabin and then walked out with drinks for the entire crew and left them on a table outside before sitting in a chair and stretching, watching the show. "Hey Yuri!" Yelled Ricky
"What's up!" Ryker yelled as well as the two boys jumped on the semi giant
Yuri silently laughed as he stood up from his prone position from atop the chair and began to swing the two boys around on his back and play with them. The mute man then began to toss the boys up like a father would do to his baby and catch them. "Hey guys!" Rose addressed the group from the cabin door
She was covered in dirt and soot, the only clean part on her was her eyeline which had been covered by her goggles which were now flipped upwards. No one responded to her which made her grow a tic mark. "Guys!" She yelled again
Naruto blinked and then turned to face her. "Hey Rose what're you doing in there?! Come on out and have some fun!" He told her but she waved her arms in front of her face indicating that's not what sh wanted to do
"Well then what did you come out here for?" Naruto asked her and she pointed to the deck of the Great Wave
"Naruto! The jet dials are shutting down!" She got out as everyone stopped and looked at her
Ryker was the first to ask her, "What do you mean the jet dials are shutting down!?" He asked her frantically
"Well the circuit I used to connect all of them has blown a fuse and well since they aren't being controlled via the circuit they're shutting off one by one!" Rose explained to them as they all went wide eyed
Lucy was quick to ask a follow up question, "Wait so does that mean we're going to fall out of the sky!?" She asked her fellow crewmate
"Yes but don't worry it'll take a few hours for all of them to shut down so the descent will be slow and easy on the ship." She responded as the whole crew exhaled
Within a few seconds the group began to tense up once more as everyone's feet slowly made their way off of the deck of the ship. To their dismay the ship began to plummet towards the sea with the whole crew desperately trying to hold on for dear life. "I thought you said it would take a few hours!?" Kinshiki screamed as he gripped the mast of the ship
"A minor miscalculation!" Rose responded to him through a scream of her own
"This seems a little more major to me!" Pedro yelled back
Naruto held a loose rope with his hands as both Ricky and Ryker hung onto his legs. "You two I can't feel my legs!" Naruto voiced to them
The two boys just screamed their lungs out as they fell. Gem held on tightly to the ledge of the helm and looked down. "I see something! It's land!" He relayed to the crew as they all went wide eyed
"We're gonna die!" Lucy screamed. Something then clicked in her head. "Oh wait it's just you guys who are gonna die, I forgot I ate the Tori Tori no mi." She continued to say as the crew gapped at her
"You witch! Leavin' us to fall!" Russ yelled out as she glided over to him and smacked him
She spoke through shark teeth, "Calm down I'm not leaving!"
"Not a good time you two!" Kiji yelled at them
Gem looked again and relayed once again back to the crew. "Don't worry! We're over water! But-" He said as the boat hit the water hard
A huge splashed echoed all throughout the area as the crew hit the deck of the Great Wave. Everyone began to get up and catch their breath and look around to see if everyone else was okay. "What was that last part Gem?" Naruto asked him, catching his breath
"We're in a Marine base." He finished as a siren began to howl and guns around the ship in the rocks began to point at them
A loudspeaker then made a high pitched noise before relaying a voice. "Halt! You have trespassed on Marine Base G8!"
"Well looks like we're right in the middle of Marine Base G8!" Naruto yelled to his crew as he laughed
Elsewhere in the base Marine troops ran around and readied their weapons and took aim at the ship in multiple directions. "Who is on the ship out there!?" One of them yelled out to another
"I don't know I can't see them yet!" Another answered
"Hey Shepard! Get over here with more ammo! Don't be acting off you're not an inspector anymore after what you pulled during the last raid!" A Marine barked at the ex-inspector
He grumbled, "Okay coming now!"
"Wait that ship! It's oddly familiar!" One of the Marines voiced as Shepard kept dragging the ammo along the ground towards them
Another chimed in, "Yeah you're right it does!"
"Hold on there's someone on the deck!"
Shepard looked up as he finished dragging the ammo over and his jaw dropped. Right on queue the Marine looking through the spyglass at the man dropped the spyglass out of shock and was shocked to his core. "What the hell give me that!" Another yelled as he repeated the same action
"W-w-what! I-it's the P-Pirate K-King!" He yelled as the Marines immediately dropped their weapons in shock
Men began to run frantically all around the base in every which direction as Naruto laughed from his ship. "Well looks like they know who we are!" He said as his crew smiled at their captain's antics
"Captain! What does a blue sea pirate do in this situation?" Ryker asked Naruto
Naruto turned back and smiled, "Well Ryker we can either attack and take everything they got but considering it's the Marines that's not a very good idea. So that leaves another option."
"And what might that be?" This time Ricky was the one to ask
He grinned, "We run!" Naruto said
Both apprentices faulted and their mouths dropped. "B-But captain you're the Pirate King! The strongest Pirate on the planet! Why not fight them!?" Ricky asked his captain
"Yeah! Why would a warrior as mighty as yourself back away from an opponent like them!?" Ryker yelled
Naruto shrugged, "Eh if we take them on now they'll just send more and more. It'll get boring really fast."
"EHHHHHH!" Both the boys screeched
Kiji sighed, "Well you heard the man, let's get out of here!" He told the crew as they each got to their positions
"B-But. . ." Ryker managed to get out
"Sorry kid, Cap'n's orders!" Russ told him as he got to his position
Lucy looked at Rose, "How long will it take you to repair that circuit?" She asked
Rose tapped her cheek and looked up and thought. "A few minutes at most. Me and RIM got it!" She exclaimed as the little robot beeped in excitement
"Good! Reeve and Ace you two better be ready to jumpstart the engine!" She yelled at the two boys who were in the engine room waiting for the signal
"Oi Lucy tell me when Rose is ready, I'll angle us upwards by moving the water beneath us!" Naruto told his navigator as she nodded
Pedro ran down to Rose in the circuit room and got ready to use his electro to jumpstart the circuit. He then spoke into a transponder snail which went up to Lucy and Naruto on the deck. "Rose and I are ready down here! Are Yuri, Gem, and Kinshiki ready to deploy the wings?" He asked through it
The other men gave the signal. "Yes they are!" Lucy told him after seeing their signal
All the while this was happening one of the Marines busted into his superior's office in utter shock. "Vice Admiral Johnathan!" He yelled
The older man sighed, "What is it?" He asked in a calm manner
"There's an intruder in the bay!" The Marine informed
Johnathan raised a brow at the statement, "An intruder you say? And whom may that be?" He inquired of the Marine
"The Pirate King! Portgas D. Naruto!" The Marine yelled to him
Johnathan leaned back in his chair. "The Pirate King eh? Let him go." He said as he turned around
"What! But sir!?" He managed to get out before Johnathan spoke once again
"If we try and catch him he'll level the island, that man has the power of the sea on his side. Not to mention he has the late Whitebeard's Devil-Fruit. And besides, no one here has the power to detain him." Johnathan explained
He then turned back around and smiled, "Don't worry, he won't do anything! He's just trying to leave I suspect."
The Marine nodded as he went to relay the message to the rest of the troops. Within a few minutes the entire base had been told to let the pirates go and everyone cooperated except for one person.
"Stupid Johnathan! Thinking he can let these fools leave! I'll show them what I'm capable of! Maybe they might make me an inspector once again!" Shepard spoke to himself as he lugged a huge weapon over to a small clearing and got it ready to fire
Back on the ship Naruto had began to angle the ship upwards with the help of his Devil-Fruit so that they were ready to blast off once again. "Alright ready!" He voiced to his crew
"Yeah!" They all said back to him
"Alright here we. . ." He began before his eyes flashed red and he moved back a bit and everyone watched as a huge cannonball flew right past him
Everyone looked over in Shepard's direction who was now sweating bullets. "Hey Kiji can you deal with him I gotta focus on this." Naruto asked his first mate who grinned in response
"With pleasure!" He said
Shepard dropped the weapon and began to run before Kiji got his attack ready. "Sea Surface Split!" Kiji yelled as the very water split because of the force released from the attack
It made its way all the way over to Shepard who watched as it came off the water and onto the land, throwing stones and rock everywhere before it hit him dead on, knocking him into one of the groves, knocked out.
"Well that takes care of that! Hold on! Here we go!" Naruto exclaimed as they shot off into the sky once more
A few hours later. . .
The crew had flew a good distance before the jet dials began to overheat and they had to set the ship down, though this time the Great Wave touched surface with the ocean much cleaner.
"Alright! So does anyone know where we are?" Reeve asked his crew as they looked around but saw nothing but open sea and a tiny hill of land in the distance.
"Looks like there's something over there!" Gem spoke from the helm as he pointed towards the land mass in the distance
Ace looked back towards Lucy, "Do you recognize that island Lucy?" He asked her as he handed her his spyglass
She looked through it. "It looks familiar, I may have read it in a book. Oh I know! That island is St. Poplar! See that train rail, that goes to Water-7!" She told everyone as they looked at the island
As the crew approached the shore of the island they noticed that fireworks were going off and the island was alive with celebration. The disembarked off their ship and walked on the cobblestone trail into the town on the shore.
"Hey welcome to St. Poplar! Wanna party!?" Asked a man who was clearly drunk to Reeve
Reeve made a nervous smile, "I'll pass."
"Ah you're no fun!" The man pouted and then walked away
The crew looked behind the man to see a giant fire-pit which had a flame which reached several stories tall with some people dancing around it. One of which being a wolf and the other a giraffe and a tall bulky man with one who was dressed in kabuki style makeup. "Talk about a weird bunch." Spoke Lucy with a sweat drop, seeing the figures parading around the fire
"So what's the plan ere'?" Asked Russ who was trying to hide the fact he was looking in different directions at different women
Naruto pondered for a second, "Well I say enjoy yourselves! Just don't scare anyone or anything like that!" Naruto told his crew as they all smiled and went about their own thing
The Pirate King walked over to a wooden stand which looked like it was made on the fly for this event and leaned up against it. On the other side of the stand was a blond haired woman with square glasses with her hair tied back with a bandana. "Hello miss you mind if I ask you what's with all of the celebrating?" Asked Naruto
The woman didn't look up from her task as she responded, "If you're looking anywhere other than my eye-line then that's sexual harassment, but if you seriously don't know this is just one of the many festivals hosted on this island." She explained
"Ah I see." Naruto responded simply, a little weirded out by her attitude
She then looked up to look at him with her eyes expanding in shock for a fraction of a second. "Is there anything else I can help you with sir?" She asked him in a suggestive way
Naruto just rubbed the back of his head, "No it's okay thank you for asking though." He said before walking off
'So the Pirate King has come to St. Poplar. I wonder how the rest of CP9 will react hearing this news. Maybe if I can seduce on of his crew I'll be able to take down some of them from within and then CP9 can regain our reputation.' The lady thought to herself
"Hey there pretty lady! Are you on this here menu?" Asked Russ and the lady gleamed
'And here's my chance.' She thought again. "Of course I am, for a big strong man like you." She told him with a wink as some blood ran down Russ's nose
Naruto didn't see Russ walk to the stand behind him and just kept looking around the town, seeing what was going on until he saw something else that caught his eye. Another woman with black hair, back turned to him reading a book. He walked over to her and laid a hand on her shoulder, and she turned to face him and was shocked to see him. "Hello Nico Robin, fancy seeing you here." He said as the shock left her face and it was replaced by a smile
"Mr. Naruto, it's good to see that you haven't been killed by a rival pirate yet." She spoke with a smile and the Pirate King sweat dropped
"Uh thanks Robin." He responded. "Wait who are you here with? Any other Strawhats with you?" Naruto asked her
Robin shook her head, "No I'm afraid I'm the only Straw hat here. I don't know where the rest of them are." She told him as Naruto nodded along
"Well if you're alone why not come aboard the Great Wave!?" Naruto asked her and she chuckled
"I'm actually travelling with the Revolutionaries, one of my companions was actually looking for you, Luffy and I believe his name is Ace." She explained to him
Now it was Naruto's turn to raise his brow, "And who might this person be?" He inquired
"Well he's standing right over there!" She smiled and pointed to him
Naruto turned his head and once he made eye contact with the man his eyes almost popped out of his skull. "Oi Naruto! It's good to see you after so long!" The man told him as tears swelled up in Naruto's eyes
"S-S-Sabo!?" He yelled out
Alright so that's the end of this chapter I hope you all enjoyed! The next one should be out soon and I hope you all are ready! And don't worry I know that CP9 stands like zero chance against the Whirlpool Pirates but it's mainly just for an interaction between the two factions because I plan to use CP9 later in the story! I hope you understand and everyone have a real one!
