answers to reviewers questions or statements:

Assassin Sylar: Technically yes, but you need to remember that Superman is fully aware of his own limitations and weaknesses and given his experience with people that've used those against him, Peter will be hard pressed in trying to beat or kill him. It's possible, but it won't be nearly as easy as one would've assumed.

Harbinger of Kaos: The Superwoman that we'll be seeing is based off the one we saw in the Crisis On two Earths movie.

chimera629: You really think he cares if they get kids killed? He was raised on fucking Apokolips.

Omni-Creator Kami of Anime: Diana is fully aware of Dick's history with both Barbara and Starfire, so she's not exactly pleased that he's now dragging her own little sister into that mess. She's aware that Donna is a grown person and can make her own decisions but that doesn't mean she has to like her choices. Dick isn't a bad person per say, but his love life is only a 'little' better than Bruce's and that's still not saying much. Honestly the only one that probably has the most stable love life is Tim. No, Darkseid's rage will motivate Peter in others ways. I'm not having Wanda or Jean in this story, period, end of discussion.

The great gamer: You would think but Darkseid's children's fear of him is so great that they'd never even think of attempting to defy or revolt against him. The Festival is a few months away, it'll be the next major arc after this one.

Mashot Tito: No William is straight up dead.

REX5678: Some of those could work.

Djberneman: True, but you also need to remember that Darkseid has plenty of other children and their own spawn to pull from to compensate for William's loss. Plus, he could always make En Sabah Nur have another. And if William's death drives En Sabah Nur and Grail into rebellion, Darkseid can always replace them with more children. Life holds no real value in Darkseid's eyes and people are easily replaceable. He's also a player of the long game, so while yes William's death would affect his military strength in the short term, long term wise it'll be fixed with either a new child, grandchild or just a new Fury even.

matthorserider40: It's not Thanos that's the main bad guy in this.

Killerpickel: They use Boom Tubes and Mother Boxes because their highly convenient. It's like transportation, most people use cars now a days despite the fact there's bikes, horses, walking, hell scooters because their extremely convenient and have more to offer someone when their trying to get from point 'A' to point 'B'. Do they have their drawbacks and limitations? Yes, but again, the pros outweigh the cons. Peter had a weapons' to keep some of his more aggressive siblings away from him, it's Kalibak. And most of them aren't ever on Apokolips, so he doesn't have to worry about them as much as the siblings that are on Apokolips, most of which tolerate or like Peter, such as the likes of Kalibak, En Sabah Nur and Grail, some of the most powerful of his siblings. Peter has a good understanding of magic, he can recognize it when it's used, but he doesn't like it because of how erratic and random it can be. He prefers order and things he can control the outcome of with a hundred percent certainty. Luthor is smart, but he's also arrogant, cocky and antagonistic to others that are even more powerful than him by a wide margin, so uh what's your point? And Peter has insulted his own siblings, threatened loyal servants of Darkseid and has even pushed the limits of his father's patience with his mouth. Plus he's surrounded by people that are for the most part inferior to him in that he's a New God and most of them are humans. Yes the League as beings stronger than him and could go toe to toe with his father, but they can be counted on one hand, maybe two under the right circumstances, so he's not going to give them much if any respect to begin with.

Tom2011: You would think so, but we'll see soon why that may not be the case.

DeimosVulcan12: Staying on Earth might make things worse for Peter, so he's gonna have to bring something to the table in an effort to appease his father and spare himself from his wrath. Earth-3 will make one more appearance in this story, but it'll be after the Memberance Festival. Constantine will appear again later on.

Steelismybody: They were never married, never hinted, never mentioned, never acknowledged, they were just simply lovers. Kalibak is Darkseid's greatest not because his strength rivals Darkseid's, but because he's also his firstborn, his mother being the one person that Darkseid had ever actually loved, and arguably his most loyal son. Hell, when Darkseid went to ear with the Anti-Monitor in Darkseid War, he made it a point to have his son involved despite the fact he tended to disrupt battle strategies and kill their own troops.

superpierce: It's not an issue, they can just plainly see that Peter doesn't want to 'better' himself, unlike Mister Miracle who was more or less born good and remained good despite the horrors' he's seen and experienced, Peter was born... not so good, partly because he's the son of Darkseid. Plus he's been born, raised, and lived on Apokolips for several hundred years, there's really nothing the League can do to get him to really change his views or beliefs.

Luthor's teleportation device was... slow, for the lack of a better term.

To Peter, a being who's had Mother Boxes to utilize to get him from one point to another almost instantly, standing still and waiting for his body to appear in Luthor's universe was as boring and as tedious as redesigning a Parademon's genetic code. Even more annoying was that feeling of nausea that he felt come over him as he felt his body, and the rest of the League's, finally 'land' in Luthor's home universe...

Surrounded by what they assumed was the Crime Syndicate.

Peter took in the various members of this apparent 'evil' organization and the state of the technologically 'advance' room they were in. It looked like Kalibak had stormed through here after having one too many drinks. The only upside to this whole situation was that the Crime Syndicate seemed just as surprised by the League's sudden appearance as the League was of theirs. Silence reined through the room as the two superhuman teams stared at one another with varying looks of shock and surprise, waiting to see what would happen next.

Before the League were three individuals, one man dressed in a metal suit that made him look a little like an owl while the other was dressed in... well Peter had no idea what style of clothing the dark skinned man was wearing, but it was blue and black and had a bit of yellow mixed into it. Meanwhile the woman next to them was dressed in a black and gold bathing suit like contraption which knee high leather boots, and fingerless elbow length gloves of the same material and color. Based on the 'S' on the collar she was wearing, Peter assumed that she was the 'Superwoman' Scott had mentioned. Even at a first glance Peter felt an instant dislike for the woman, something about her didn't sit right with him, and it wasn't because of the predatory look she was giving them all.

"If we don't move, maybe they won't notice us" Peter whispered rather loudly, causing Diana to glance at him with a look of disbelief.

"You don't actually believe that... do you?" she said.

"I don't have time for this. I need that data, take them down" the metal suit wearing man ordered, causing the various meta humans to spring into action, Superwoman chief among them.

The black clad woman flew towards the Justice League with a viscous smile on her face as Luthor raised one of his arms and blasted several energy blasts at her. The Meta easily avoided the shots and slammed into Luthor with enough force to create a small shockwave that caused the League to stumble and separate. Superman flew after the two while the rest of the League scattered to avoid being boxed in and take the fight to the Crime syndicate. The only one that stayed close to Peter was, to his mild surprise, Diana.

'Huh, figured she'd go and find someone to beat to within an inch of their life instead of staying close to little old me' Peter thought as he ducked under a blast of lightning from the oddly dressed man while Diana aimed Jarnbjorn at the man and fired off her own electrical based attack.

The man let out a surprised yelp when Diana's divine empowered lighting easily tore through his own and struck him, electrocuting the man and sending him flying into several monitors. Peter winced a little in sympathy... for the computers, poor things didn't deserve such a fate. Diana didn't bother to see if the man would be down for good or not, she immediately turned and brought up her ax's handle to prevent a woman who had just turned into a lion from biting her throat.

"Hey Diana, do you happen to recognize anyone?" Peter said as he grabbed the 'lion' by it's mane and yanked it off of Diana's ax, causing it to roar in surprise before he slammed it into the ground with enough force to break several of it's bones.

"I believe that was this world's version of Vixen" Diana said as she stared down at the lion as it shifted back into a dark skinned woman dressed in some sort of tribal inspired punk like attire.

"How... vexing" Peter said with a chuckle before he suddenly ducked under an energy blast that Peter's suit identified as compressed sound waves.

Unfortunately, Diana wasn't as quick and took a full blast of the weaponized sound energy to the chest, sending her flying into a pile of rubble. Peter's eyes narrowed in annoyance at this and quickly rushed towards the man that was trying to shoot him. He didn't look particularly impressive to Peter, just some skinny guy that looked like he'd lose a fight to a Lowlie. The man started to panic as Peter drew closer and tried to fire off more powerful sound energy beams before he was suddenly blinded by a blast of webbing to his face. The man's muffled sounds of panic quickly turned to screams of pain as the webbing started to burn the man's skin, almost like acid.

Peter silenced the man's sounds of pain with a solid punch to his gut, likely shattering a bone of three and possible rupturing the man's stomach and having it's insides spill out into the man's body.

"Oh hush you, you tried to shoot me with sound. be grateful I'm leaving your punishment at just this" Peter stared down at the man's crumpled form before Donna suddenly shot past him and slammed into a wall.

Peter blinked at this and turned to see that it was Superwoman that had struck Diana's little sister. The Crime Syndicate member noticed Peter's gaze on her and smirked darkly at him as she took a step towards him before she was suddenly blown away by a powerful gust of air blown by Superman.

"I would've personally just blasted her with heat vision" Peter shook his head at this and turned to go and see how Diana was doing, wouldn't do for her to be dead now, before he found himself face to face with a alluring woman dressed in a rather provocative suit that showed off a great deal of her chevage.

"Helloooo..." the woman cooed with a coy smile as she eyed Peter up and down like he was a piece of meat "Will you help me?"

"No" Peter said with a confused look.

"Please?" the woman said as her eyes began to glow and Peter felt a brush against his mind.

It wasn't very powerful, in all honesty it felt like someone lightly blowing in your face.

"I said no, now out of my way" Peter said as he picked the woman up by her shoulders and set her aside before making his way over towards Diana as she began to climb out of the rubble she was blasted into.

Peter hadn't even taken two steps before the woman wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled her body against his, resting a leg on his hip as she whispered sensually into his ear.

"Please help me fight these bad people that are hurting us. I'll do whatever you wa- AHHHHHHH!" the woman began before her words turned to screams of agony as two spider like limbs suddenly emerged from Peter's back and tore into the woman's shoulder and stomach.

Peter looked over his shoulder at the woman for a moment with a look of mild annoyance before he used his legs to toss her away and resume his trek to Diana.

"Should've taken a hint... dumb human" Peter muttered in annoyance.

Peter raised his hand to call out to Diana before he saw a masked woman wielding two Sais attempt to impale Diana through the back before the Amazon warrior turned and grabbed the masked woman's wrists and brought her into a headbutt. The force of the blow caused the masked woman's mask to shatter before Diana threw the woman over her shoulder and into the ground before following it up with a heel kick to her forehead that caused her head to smack against the ground once Diana's heeled boot made contact.

"What are the odds that Luthor purposely brought us here?" Peter said as he neared his wife and nodded towards the woman at both of their feet "Seems a little coincidental that they happen to be here when we arrived"

"Perhaps it's your terrible luck at work" Diana said as she held a hand out to summon Jarnbjorn back to it before she secured the ax to a small hook she had attached to her suit, between her shoulder blades, and drew her Mother Sword.

"My luck is not that terrible" Peter said before the Flash raced past him, dragging a man that seemed to be able to stretch his body to any length, though now it was being used against him. Peter blinked at the display before he glanced at his wife while throwing a thumb over i s shoulder "Now that guy has terrible luck"

Diana smirked a little at this before she noticed Donna trying to help Superman overpower the woman that attacked Luthor upon their arrival to this universe. Seeing her sister hold her own against someone that was clearly capable of matching Diana and Clark in raw strength alone was a sight to be hold. In the past Diana had seen her sibling struggle with some of the most minor and 'harmless' of her rogues, but now she was showing that she had come a long way. That she could live up to Diana's legacy as the new wonder Woman...

'I only wish I'll be able to watch her continue to grow into her new role' Diana thought with some sadness before Peter suddenly snapped his fingers in front of her face. She blinked at this before focusing her gaze on Peter with a frown of confusion "What?"

Peter's lenses narrowed in annoyance as he made a 'tsk' sound before repeating what he just said.

"I said, when we're done kicking the ever loving hell out of these people, what than?" Peter asked.

"What do you mean?" Diana asked as she shot a hand up and used the bracelet attached to it to deflect a stray beam of energy fired from a flying woman that Green Lantern was dealing with.

"We beat these people and I'm assuming we're gonna follow your League's ridiculous notion of tossing them in a hole and throwing away the key" Peter said with a annoyed sigh "Than what?"

"Than we go home, though I'm sure we'll have to help Luthor with a few things to help compensate for his world's lack of a Justice League" Diana said with a frown as she slowly lowered her hand and scanned the battlefield.

She could see Nightwing facing a woman that reminded Diana of Gypsy, though her abilities seemed more centered on intangibility and phasing than the woman Diana was thinking of. Martian Manhunter was busy helping Green Lantern deal with his opponent and Superman had just sent Superwoman flying into the wall with a powerful punch that caused the entire building they were in to shake slightly and for cracks to appear along the floor of where the Kryptonian stood.

"Oh this is just getting better and better..." Peter shook his head in frustration before he glanced at the computer monitors that the dark skinned man that could shoot electricity was blasted into "Well if that's the case, might as well go see what they have on these people"

Diana watched Peter head towards the monitors for a moment before she noticed a figure dropping down from the ceiling. Diana quickly shot off into the air and brought up her bracelets in a 'X' formation to block several shuriken thrown by the individual before they could find their mark in Peter's head. The New God paused and looked up in slight surprise at Diana's actions as the man that attempted to ambush Peter landed across from him.

It was the man in the metal suit he saw when they first arrived.

"I'm gonna assume your called... Owlman?" Peter said as he took in the man's mechanized suit "That's what your supposed to be dressed as, right? An Owl?"

Since coming to Earth Peter has only ever seen a single owl, an annoying little feathered rat that kept making that annoying 'hoo-hoo' sounds outside his and Diana's window at night. Peter responded by taking the damn thing and feeding it to one of the Parademons after the third night of having to suffer through it's hooting, much to Diana's displeasure.

Apparently the owl was a messenger for one of her former Goddess, Athena.

"And what do you call yourself?" the man responded in a detached, cold, tone as he took in Peter's appearance, his gaze resting on the large spider symbol on his chest "Let me guess... Spider-man?"

"Call me whatever you want sweetheart" Peter said with a shrug as he fired off several Venom Blasts at the man, forcing him to sprint to cover behind a knocked over stone pillar "Question though, when I carve your name into your headstone, does your name have a hyphen in it, or is it two words?"

Owlman's response to Peter's inquiry was several shuriken in the shape of an owl's wings thrown towards him. Peter narrowed his eyes and tried to shoot the incoming projectiles out of the air but the shuriken dodged the Venom blasts.

"Oooh, fancy" Peter said as the shuriken drew closer before he was suddenly grabbed by the undersides of his arms and pulled into the air and out of the shurikens' path.

Peter blinked and looked to see that it was Diana that had pulled him into the air and out of the range of the small explosions that erupted from the shuriken when they struck the ground he was just standing on.

"I had it handled" Peter said before he glanced back at where Owlman was "Now if you'd be so kind as to let me get back to beating him to within an inch of his life"

"Allow me to help you with that" Diana said as she began to spin in the air before launching Peter towards Owlman.

Owlman's eyes narrowed behind his helmet's lenses and quickly brought up his cape around him before it seemingly hardened and the 'feathers' along the cape's edges angled outwards. Peter slammed both his feet into the 'cape' and found it holding if against the force he struck it with, even if only just. With a scowl of annoyance, Peter leaped off before the knife like feathers on Owlman's cape could cut him and landed a few meters away.

'Hmm, metal... could try to electrocuting him, but no, he's likely implemented counters to that. Could try acidic webbing, but there's no telling how long it'll take until it can eat through his suit's metallic alloy' Peter thought as he watched Owlman unfurl his cape and draw two elbow length blades, each with a hilt engraved with owls with the pommel of each knife being that of an owl's head 'Can just try going for that exposed mouth of his, stupid to leave it exposed in the first place, try filling his mouth and by proxy lungs with webbing and either burn him from the inside out by channeling my Venom Blasts through it or melt his insides with acid. So many choices, so little time to decide'

Though he could just always rip the man's lower jaw off and have him bleed to death.

Before Peter or Owlman could make any further moves against each other, Nightwing suddenly appeared behind the armored man and jabbed one of his escrima stick's taser ends right into the space between the man's neck and shoulders. The power of the static discharge would've fried most of the circuity in Owlman's suit regardless of the steps he took to insulate his suit, and likely left a nasty electrical burn on his neck. But the caped criminal didn't even so much as flinch or even utter a sound of pain as he stumbled slightly before he stopped and slowly turned towards Batman's first partner in crime.

"Ow" he said after a few moments of tense silence.

"How the hell...?" Nightwing blinked in surprise at seeing someone still standing after getting hit at full power by his escrima stick's taser.

"Hell?" Owlman said as he stated at Nightwing with an unreadable expression on his face, though a hint of anger could be heard in his voice "You don't even know the meaning of the word, boy"

In a blink of an eye, Owlman closed the distance between himself and Nightwing and delivered a series of jabs to the man's chest, arms and legs before he sent a powerful uppercut into the man's face that sent the former Teen Titan into the air before being grabbed by his heel. Peter watched as Nightwing was slammed into the ground before being tossed at the New God's feet. Peter briefly glanced down at Nightwing before his gaze flickered back towards Owlman as he flung the two knives he held earlier right towards Peter's head.

Peter didn't even bother to dodge them, he summoned one of his spider limbs and had it knock the blades aside, sending them clattering against the floor as he continued to stare at the Crime Syndicate member.

"Resorting to throwing things hmm? Tell me, is that some sort of prerequisite for being some brooding guy with a cape?" Peter asked as he began to slowly circle Owlman.

"Your a New God, from Apokolips based off your armor's design and the small glowing Omega symbol on your chest" Owlman said as the armored tips of his fingers elongated into something akin to claws.

"Is you figuring out where I'm from supposed to leave me in awe?" Peter asked dryly as he had all four of his spider like limbs emerge from his back, ready to lash out or shield him from anything else thrown at him.

"No... it's just to show you that your in over your head with me" Owlman stated as if it were a matter of fact "Unlike my colleagues, I've never been much for brute force or overbearing might. I prefer to solve problems... methodically"

"Funny, so do I" Peter said before he lunged at Owlman.

Owlman brought his arms up and blocked a punch from Peter, the force of the blow caused him to slide back several feet before steadying himself in time to block another blow from Peter. Each punch landed with enough force to shatter steel, but Owlman's armor held, if only barely, even when Peter began to channel his Venom Blasts into each hit and discharge on contact. Eventually the New God resorted to trying to impale Owlman through the small gaps in his armor around his shoulders, legs and the sides of his torso.

"Basic fighting styles, no real sense of flow or method to your actions. Your just throwing punches and kicks when your abilities fail to incapacitate me" Owlman said coolly as he used his cape to held block or deflect Peters spider like limbs before he caught a punch aimed for his face.

Peter's eyes narrowed as he felt his arm being slowly pushed back, causing him to lash out with his other one before it too was caught by Owlman. The two armored beings stared one another down before Owlman smirked as he began to slowly push Peter back, his armored exoskeletal suit groaning as it's systems were pushed to their absolute limit. Suddenly Owlman shoved Peter back before he followed up with a series of strikes that Peter barely managed to dodge before he received a kick to the head that caused him to stumble back in surprise. With a shake of his head, Peter growled and lunged at Owlman, intending to strangle the life from the man before the caped villain ducked under Peter's hands and shot his head upwards and struck Peter under his jaw.

"It's the same with all of you 'Gods'" Owlman stated as he watched Peter back away, cupping his chin "All power, no brains on how to use it properly. Wasteful"

"What can I say, I use what brains I do have for simple things. Like the bomb I placed on your belt" Peter nodded towards Owlman's waist, causing him to glance down and see a small blinking device on one of the compartments for his various shuriken "Slipped it on when you and I were trying to grapple with one another. Having an extra limb or four tends to pay off"

In a near blink of an eye, Owlman ripped the belt off and tossed it as far from him as he could, having it land near Luthor's still unconscious form. Peter smirked at this and watched as the man waited for the belt to go off... and waited...

"It was just a blinking light I slipped on you, dumbass!" Peter said, shooting a web line at Owlman's chest and yanking the violent criminal towards him and right into Peter's fist.

The metal groaned and cracked under Peter's blow but for the most part it cushion the New God's blow on the very mortal human, though the force of the hit did send the man flying across the room. Peter smirked as he watched Owlman's body skip across the floor before slamming into a wall, dislodging a few chunks and casing them to fall on to the armored villain, burying him.

"Not gonna lie, but I'm actually starting to enjoy myself" Peter said as Diana landed beside him "I can see why you do this sort of thing, despite how futile and repetitive it can get"

"Do you require any help with him?" Diana nodded towards Owlman "I noticed that he's been able to hold his own against you"

"So?" Peter said with a frown.

"He's not Kalibak Peter" Diana warned her husband.

"Your right, he's much prettier than that oversized brute" Peter said with a snort as he waved off Diana's concerns "I'll be fine beloved wife of mine. Why don't you go help your friends put down that rabid bitch while I deal with Batman's apparent evil twin, yeah?"

"Very well, just don't come crying too me when he starts to beat you" Diana said as she turned to aide in the restraint of Superwoman, who was now in a test of strength against Donna.

Peter scowled at Diana as she flew away before he returned his attention back to Owlman.

...

Diana's eyes narrowed as she flew towards Superwoman and Donna.

So far the Crime Syndicate member was proving to be the toughest opponent here, having rendered Luthor unconscious and sucker punched Clark into another room of what Luthor explained as his League's base of operations. At first Diana thought that this Superwoman was perhaps an evil version of her, but after examining the woman's features, and the fact that she was flowing with magic in a manner similar to that of Captain Marvel, she quickly deduced that this was perhaps Mary Marvel's counterpart.

"You strong..." Superwoman smirked as she slowly began to bring Donna to her knees "Maybe I'll keep you around for a while. Been too long since I've had a little girl that can take what I give"

Diana's eyes narrowed as she reached Superwoman and grabbed her by the shoulder, forcing her around and slam her fist right into Mary Marvel's doppelganger with enough force to shake the room. Superwoman's head snapped back, blood gushing from her nose, Diana grabbed the woman by the front of her suit and pulled her back into another punch that caused a crack to appear in her skull. Dazed and a little off balanced, Superwoman tried to throw a punch at Diana only for the Amazon to catch it and bring the woman into a painful hold that ended with her arm behind her back and bent to the point that all it'll take is a few pounds of pressure from Diana to snap it clean in two.

"Surrender, you've lost" Diana warned the woman.

"Like hell I have" Superwoman snarled as she glared over her shoulder at Diana "Mazahs!"

Diana's eyes widened before she was suddenly struck by what she could only describe as black lightning. as a daughter of Zeus, Diana was generally highly resistant to lighting based attacks, be they natural, scientific or magical in nature, and to a degree manipulate them without a conduit like what Jarnbjorn seemed to be. But this lighting, there was something wrong about it, something sinister, and it burned Diana's skin to the point parts of it were catching fire and charring.

"DIANA!" Donna yelled in horror at seeing her sister in pain and quickly flew over and grabbed Diana and yanked her out of the lightning, burning herself in the process.

Superwoman slumped to the ground, just barely managing to catch herself while Donna and Diana landed a few meters away. The younger Amazon examined her sibling's injuries' and winced at the state of some of them. It was rare for Diana to be so badly hurt like she was now, half the burns she sported were second degree, with a few being third, and smoke was emanating from Diana's suit.

But what really caught Donna's attention was the ax on her sister's back, how it seemed to be... humming.

'What in the name of Hera and Rhea?' Donna thought as she found herself reaching for the ax before Diana grabbed her wrist and leveled a cool glare at her that froze the younger amazon.

"Don't touch it" Diana said in a chilling tone before her expression softened "It'll kill anyone it doesn't consider it's master touching it"

Donna nodded as she watched Diana retrieve the ax from her back and hold it close to her before taking a deep breath and closing her eyes. After a few moments, a soft light began to spread from the ax's blade and engulf Diana, healing her wounds at speeds that rivaled a Flash's. Within moments Diana was fully healed, or at least the major burns that covered most of her body were dealt with.

"What'd you do?" Donna asked as she helped her sister back to her feet.

"Used Jarnbjorn's energy to absorb Superwoman's... lightning. It was still in my body, ravaging it, so I used my ax to absorb it while it channeled it's own energies into me and sped up my healing" Diana said as she placed Jarnbjorn back on her back and turned her attention back to Superwoman.

What Diana left out was that while Jarnbjorn healed her wounds, it did little in replenishing her, she felt like she was about to collapse into a comma. She felt drained, as if her strength, her stamina, her speed, all of it, was taken.

'Note to self, avoid getting hit by her mystical lightning again' Diana thought as she approached Superwoman just as the Crime Syndicate member had climbed back to her feet.

"Still standing are you..." Superwoman smirked as she wiped the blood from her face as she stared at Diana's approaching form "Ooh I can tell you'll be fun to play with. You and your little mini-me back there. I so do love having sisters to play with"

Diana made a face of disgust at this, she had no idea what's caused this sudden desire to see incest between two sisters, but it was really beginning to annoy the ever loving Hades out of her.

"I've never understood the appeal of having two women who are sisters at the same time" Diana said as he reached up to catch a fist thrown towards her by Superwoman.

The shockwave of the catch shook the room slightly, but it was clear to Diana that this Superwoman had reached the end of her ability to properly fight. She supposed that shout of 'Mazahs' was a sort of last ditch effort to take out Diana, and any other members of the League. Seeing that this fight was all but over, Diana pushed Superwoman back and watched the violent woman stumble before collapsing to her knees, blood dripping from her mouth.

"Surrender, you and your allies have lost" Diana said, hoping that her opponent will see reason.

"Fuck you" Superwoman snarled as black lightning began to surge around her hands before dissipating.

Before Diana could say anything else, Clark shot past her and slammed into Superwoman, sending them both through the wall and into the hall on the other side. Diana considered following before she decided against it and instead turned to see to her teammates and make sure none of them were too badly wounded.

And see how Peter was faring against Owlman.

...

"Your not used to facing people on your own level, are you?" Owlman said as he tightened his grip on Peter's arm, causing the New God to hiss in pain "At least, not from a mere human. No, a 'God' like you likely never once thought we mere human beings could ever come to rival you..."

With a sudden and violent turn, Owlman dislocated Peter's arm, causing the New God to growl in pain before he was kicked away by a now smirking Owlman. To him, it was always amusing seeing such a powerful being, so sure in their own power, being shown that it never mattered to begin with. That there were people out there that not only could negate it... but surpass it.

"You know, I've faced your kind before. I think you might know him, Zunn I believed he called himself" Owlman said as he casually approached Peter, drawing a modified rail gun that he fashioned from the remains of the pistol that killed his parents from a holster attached to his lower back "Called himself the New God of Genocide. He thought he could take Gotham from me and make it his own personal kingdom while his Parademons attacked my world"

"He never had any sense of taste in décor" Peter snarled as he glared at Owlman through his cracked lenses.

It was a little difficult given how much his head was starting to hurt, or that his eyes felt like they were being dragged across hundreds of tiny hair sized glass needles.

'Damn growing pains' Peter thought as he tried not to blink, it only made the pain in his eyes, and his forehead, worse.

Peter had hoped that his extra limbs would be the only 'addition' he'd be getting, but ever since Peter's come to Earth, his body has been... changing, for the lack of a better term. Nothing too extreme like growing several more limbs, at least not yet, but Peter ran a scan of his body to see what was going on with it and found something interesting. His body was starting to give off low levels of the Omega Effect, the cosmic energy that his father and several of his siblings, Grayven, Grail and En Sabah Nur specifically, channeled and emitted. The implications were astronomical, but Peter wasn't gonna get his hopes up, he already did when his first set of growing pains started and all he got out of it was four extra arms.

"I suppose that they don't make Gods like they used, hmm?" Owlman said as he aimed his railgun right at Peter's forehead.

"No... I suppose they don't" Peter said as he stared up at the insufferable human "By the way, you have a bit of webbing on your face"

"What are you ta-" Owlman began before Peter's mask retracted and he spat a glob of webbing from his mouth.

Peter watched as Owlman stumbled back in surprise, or perhaps it was pain, he did add a little of hid Venom blast to the concoction after all.

"You know, I've always found it's the little things that'll get you in the end" Peter said as he slowly stood up, his eyes flickering red and seemed to be on the verge of leaking an ominous reddish orange light before his mask recovered his head, the lenses already self repairing "Slip up here, a misspoken word there... webs that I can vomit"

Owlman made no response as he desperately tried to rip, cut and pull the webbing that was covering his head off. Peter watched for a moment before he delivered a powerful kick to the man's knee, shattering the joint and causing Owlman to fall to the ground. Peter didn't wait for the man to possibly recover, he kept kicking and stomping on the man's body, creating small shockwaves with each blow. Bits of Owlman's armor went flying as it gave way under Peter's assault.

"If it's any consolation, it did take a God to leave you in this state" Peter said as he stared down at Owlman's beaten form before he kicked him away.

That fight... took more out of Peter than he was willing to admit.

'Can't believe a human was able to match me. Ugh, I can just hear Kalibak laughing' Peter thought as he took a few steps away before hissing in pain as his knee gave out suddenly.

With a growl of annoyance, Peter looked down to see he was starting to bleed...

'When did that happen?' Peter thought with a frown as he felt his sixth sense going off.

Just as he was about to run a scan of his leg to see what it was that may have been setting off his precognitive sense, a shadow fell over him. Peter looked up to see that it was Diana, with a look of mild concern on her face.

"Are you okay?" she asked as she kneeled down to better examine the damage to Peter's armor and the bits of exposed flesh he had before it was covered up.

"I'm fine" Peter answered with a shrug before hissing in pain as his dislocated shoulder flared up "Just fine"

"You are a terrible liar" Diana said as she re-set his shoulder back into it's socket, causing him to hiss in pain "You've had worse"

"Doesn't mean it hurts any less" Peter grumbled as he let Diana help him back to his feet "So now what?"

Before Diana could say anything, Luthor landed next to them, followed quickly by Superman, Manhunter, Green Lantern and Donna. The last surviving member of this universe's Justice League had a look of extreme panic on his face that did little to settle Diana's nerves for what he had to say.

"We need to go, now!" the man stated.

"Why? We're winning, or won in this case" Nightwing approached the group along with Flash.

The rest of the Crime Syndicate had been rounded up and tied to a pillar with the outstretched body of the man that Peter saw flash drag around earlier. Owlman was still lying on his back not too far away, and Superwoman was Source knows where. While he wouldn't admit it aloud, Nightwing was right, they won, so Peter was confused as to why Luthor seemed to be panicking.

"Superwoman called in re-enforcements before we took her down and if it's who I think it is, we don't stand a chance" Luthor said with dread in his voice "We need to get out of here and regroup"

"Don't keep us in suspense Luthor, who'd Superwoman call in?" Superman asked with a glare of suspicion.

Luthor turned and regarded superman with a look that was torn between fear of who was coming and annoyance at the general lack of respect he's been receiving from Superman. While he was aware that his doppelganger on their Earth was less than law abiding, it was insulting be held in the same light as that man. He's worked too hard, sacrificed too much and lost even more in the defense of his world to be looked down on because another version of him decided to be a less than law abiding asshole.

"Her Made Men, metas that work for her. One of them is every bit as powerful as Superwoman, maybe as powerful as Ultraman, and at least two others that are near the same level" Luthor revealed "And every second we stand here arguing, that's a hundred more miles closer to us they're getting"

"I am not ready to deal with that kind of firepower" Nightwing said with unease as he looked up towards the ceiling, half expecting these 'Made Men' to come storming in.

"Whelp we tried, let's go home and pretend this entire thing never happened" Peter suggested, earning several glares in the forms of Superman, Flash and Green Lantern.

"We need to move" Diana said as she glanced at Clark who nodded in return as he turned.

"Follow me" he said before shooting off through a wall, leaving a hole big enough for the rest of the League to follow him through.

Lantern, Manhunter and Flash shot off after him while Donna wrapped an arm around Nightwing's waste before taking to the air as well. Luthor was close behind and Peter was about to shoot a web line to use to swing after them before he felt Diana's arms wrap around his chest from behind and shoot off into the hole. They passed through several halls before they suddenly emerged outside, or rather in the sky. Peter blinked as he looked back to see that the building they were fighting in was actually hovering thousands of feet above the ground.

"Well that's-" Peter began before Diana cut him off.

"Not very smart. Clever to keep their base mobile, but inconvenient to keep it in atmosphere"

"Actually... yeah" Peter said with a nod as he pointed at Luthor's Justice League's headquarters "I mean, what if the power keeping that thing up fails? Bye-bye flying base. Least if your base back on your Earth fails it'll still maintain it's orbit baring any alterations to it's-"

"I'm aware of what it'd take to cause the Watchtower to either sink into Earth's orbit or drift away into the vacuum of space" Diana said as she raced to catch up with the rest of the League.

"Hmm, have I mentioned that I hate being carried like this" Peter grumbled as they flew through the clouds.

"Would you prefer I let you walk?" Diana asked with some amusement as she adjusted her grip on Peter "Perhaps I can let you ride in the small platform that Lantern's made for Flash. I'm sure he won't mind sharing"

"You sure that's a good idea? Wouldn't want him to loose a leg for being around me" Peter said with an eye roll before he felt a flare at the base of his skull and looked over his shoulder to see what appeared to be an storm... and it was gaining on them "Well that doesn't look good. Or natural not that I think about it. Than again, I'm not familiar with how this universe works yet, so what do I know?"

"What are you talking about?" Diana said as she looked back to see what Peter was looking at.

The Amazon's eyes narrowed as she studied the storm, noting it's speed and how it was actually following them all. She could also sense the magical energy in it, or rather the beings deep within it that were creating the storm. One of them she could sense seemed to be giving off the same sort of raw power that Captain Marvel or Black Adam do, and the two other beings with him seemed to be almost as powerful.

"It's Superwoman's made men" Luthor yelled over the sudden crack of thunder "We need to move it!"

"I can slow them down" Superman said as he glanced back at the encroaching storm with narrowed eyes.

"One of them seems to be as powerful as Captain Marvel, Clark. And likely every bit as vicious as Black Adam" Diana warned the man of steel.

"Sounds like a real charmer" Hal said with a snort before he glanced at Martian Manhunter "Is he?"

"I sense a lot or rage coming from these Made Men. A desire to kill... to consume" the Martian said as he stated back into the approaching storm.

"So maybe buy them a burger and call it a day?" Nightwing suggested with a grin.

"You buying?" Donna asked with a flirtatious grin.

"Maybe..." Nightwing said with a equally flirtatious grin that caused Diana's grip on Peter to tighten ever so slightly.

"Ow" he hissed as he glared up at his 'ride' "Easy, I'd rather not be crushed to death by my own wife if I can help it"

"Sorry" Diana said in a low voice as she loosened her grip slightly "I-"

"We'll talk about this later" Peter said with a sigh before he glanced at Luthor and whistled at the bald man to get his attention "Where we going oh fearless forehead?"

"A friend's" Luthor said before he glanced at Green Lantern "Can you make a construct big enough for all of us?"

"I can, why?" Hal said with a frown before a loud crack of thunder caused him to flinch, mainly because of how loud it was "Oh, that's why. Alright, everyone get close!"

The flying members of the League flew in closer as Hal formed a large dome of green light around them all before the light began to take shape. A pair of wings appeared, each with a small turbine on it while the rear of the plane sported what looked like a trio of rockets. Inside a number of seats had formed for the members of the League to sit and rest while Hal sat in a 'pilot' seat and controlled the construct.

"Okay, so where we heading Luthor?" Hal said as he increased the speed of his construct, putting more and more distance between them and the storm.

"Just keep flying for now" Luthor said as he settled in his seat with a tired sigh "Once we lose Superwoman's Made Men, we'll head for Gotham"

"I still think we could've taken them" Peter grumbled as he sat down on the floor next to Diana's seat and rested his head against her thigh, unaware of the annoyed glare that he was receiving from Superman.

"And died in the process" Diana said as she kept an eye on the dark sky outside of Lantern's jet construct "We have no idea of their capabilities or numbers. It's best to pull back and formulate a more efficient strategy in dealing with them. Wars are won based on tactics, not brute force"

Peter responded with another grumble as he closed his eyes and let his mind wander...

The flaring in his skull was still going on, but it's settled into a more constant hum. He still wasn't sure what was setting it off, he had his suit run a quick diagnostic to see if he was suffering any internal bleeding, but so far, nothing was detected-

"So Spider-man hmm?"

Peter's eyes shot open and he looked up at Diana with a confused expression "What?"

"Spider-man" Diana said as she glanced down at Peter with a amused expression "I heard what Owlman called you. It's... fitting, given your abilities and need to have a spider on your chest"

"You are never calling me that again" Peter said with a shake of his head "It'll never catch on anyway"

"Would you prefer the Human Spider?" Diana said as she leaned back in her seat and allowed herself to relax slightly, if only for a few moments "Man Spider? Spider-God? God-Spider... or maybe even the Weaver?"

"If you keep calling me any of those ridiculous names, I'll web your hair" Peter warned.

Diana blinked at this "Is that some sort of double innuendo?"

"You ever try to remove my webbing from your hair?" Peter said dryly, either unaware or pointedly ignoring Diana's comment "It's really sticky"

"Now I know your doing this on purpose" Diana said as she narrowed eyes, though the grin she was sporting beguiled her feelings on the matter.

Peter made a 'hmph' sound as he closed his eyes and settled in for what he assumed will be a long flight.

...

And done.

Next chapter, Regrouping... and planning.
