After rescuing Harry Potter from the Dursleys, Devon, Ron, Fred, and George fly back to the Burrow, arriving the following morning. The flying Ford Angelia touches down on the ground like a plane coming to land and skids to a stop infront of the house.
Entering the house through the kitchen, Devon, Harry, and the Weasley brothers quietly made their way inside.
"Okay, come on, shh." Fred whispers
Harry looks around the house in amazement, which was similar to Devon's reaction of the Weasley home. He looks over at the sink on his left and saw a frying pan scrubbing itself off with soap and a brush, which was enchanted as it moved around the metal pan in a circular motion.
Moving into the living room, Harry saw the blue, yellow, grandfather clock that had the names and status of the Weasley family and looks up at it. The hands with the names 'Ron', 'Fred George' were all pointing at 'Lost', but then hands turned left until they pointed at 'Home'.
Looking over at his left, Harry saw a scarf knitting itself with enchanted pegs. Devon saw this too and he was amazed.
"It's not much, but it's home." Ron says
"I think it's brilliant." Harry says smiling
Suddenly, footsteps are heard racing down the wooden staircase and Molly Weasley leans on the railing, angry with her sons.
"Where have you been?!" Molly yells
Molly looks over at Harry and her expression changed instantly to happiness.
"Harry, how wonderful to see you, dear." Molly greets with a smile
Turning back to the Weasley brothers, Molly's expression went back to anger as she scolded the boys for disappearing.
"Beds empty! No note! Car gone! You could've died! You could've been seen!" Molly says
Molly looks over at Devon and Harry for a moment.
"Of course, I don't blame you, Harry. Or you, Devon." Molly says holding out her right-hand to them
"They were starving him, mum. He had bars on his window." Ron says
"Well, you best hope I don't put bars on your window, Ronald Weasley." Molly says pointing her right-finger at Ron
After she was finished scolding her sons, Molly turns to Devon and Harry, offering them some breakfast.
"Come now, Harry, Devon, time for a spot of breakfast." Molly says
"That'd be great, Mrs. Weasley. Thanks." Devon says smiling
Everyone walks to the kitchen and Devon, Harry, Ron, Fred and George have a seat at the table while Molly begins making breakfast for the family. Percy Weasley joins them and sits on one side next to Fred and George while Devon, Harry, and Ron sat together on the other side. Molly cooked some bacon and eggs and set down plates for the table.
"Here you are, Harry. There you go, Devon." Molly says
"Thanks, Mrs. Weasley." Devon says
"Mummy, have you seen my jumper?" Ginny asks
"Yes, dear, it was on the cat." Molly says
Ginny looks over at Harry and her eyes widened with a surprised expression.
"Hello." Harry greets
Ginny slowly backs away and runs back upstairs. Fred and George both snicker and laugh silently as they saw this while Harry looks on in confusion.
"What did I do?" Harry asks
"Ginny... She's been talking about you all summer. A bit annoying, really." Ron says
Suddenly, a man arrives at the Burrow, leaning in through the door of the kitchen from the garden. This was Arthur Weasley, husband of Molly, and father of Ron, Fred, George, Percy, and Ginny.
Arthur Weasley was known for being a well-meaning, reasonable and competent every-man, trying to take care of his family and do the right thing. A man of principle, he was strongly opposed to the discrimination of Muggles, Muggle-borns, half-blood, half-breed, and cursed beings such as werewolves.
Like many other members of theWeasley family, Arthur had bright red hair, though he was now balding. He had green eyes, and also possessed the tall, thin build.
He wore a brown pointy hat, a grey cloak, and a suit with a bowtie.
"Morning, Weasleys." Arthur greets
"Morning, Dad." Ron, Fred, George, and Percy greets
"Morning, Arthur." Molly greets
"What a night! Nine raids. Nine." Arthur says
"Raids?" Harry asks looking at Ron in confusion
"Dad works in the Ministry of Magic, in the Misuse of Muggle Artifacts Office. Dad loves Muggles. Thinks they're fascinating." Ron says
Arthur sets his stuff down in the living room and walks back to the kitchen, receiving a kiss from his wife. Joining everyone for breakfast, Arthur sits down at the end of the table near Harry.
"Well, now... Ah." Arthur sighs
Mr. Weasley soon notices Harry sitting next to him on his right and looks at him with a curious expression.
"And who are you?" Arthur asks
"Oh, I'm Harry, sir. Harry Potter."
"Good lord. Are you really?" Arthur says
"The one and only." Devon says
Arthur looks over at Devon and examined him with much more curiosty, noticing that he was dressed entirely different than Harry and the Weasley family.
"And who might you be?" Arthur asks
"I'm Devon, sir. Keyblade Wielder of Light."
Arthur's eyes went completely wide as he stared at Devon with an astonished expression.
"My word! The stories are true! The great Keyblade Wielders of yore do exist! Many doubt of their existence, but I had always believed that they were still alive. They were world-renown among witches, wizards, and magical creatures. I may be attracted to Muggles, but I have always been fascinated by tales of the Keyblade and it's marvelous powers. Well, Ron's told us all about you and Harry, of course. When did they get here?" Arthur says
"Devon arrived yesterday, but Harry came in this morning. Your sons flew that enchanted car of yours to Surrey and back last night." Molly says turning around and placing her hands at her waist
Arthur looks over at Ron, Fred, and George with an excited expression.
"Did you really? How did it go?" Arthur says
Molly held a flabbergasted look on her face and she slaps Arthur's right-shoulder with her left-hand, causing him to clear his throat.
"Ahem... I mean, that was very wrong, indeed, boys. Very wrong of you." Arthur says
Devon, Harry, and Ron laugh a bit.
"Now, Harry, you must know all about Muggles. Tell me... what exactly is the function of a rubber duck?" Arthur says
"Oh, um..." Harry says
Before Harry could explain, an owl shriek is heard from outside, causing everyone to look out the window of the kitchen.
"Oh, that'll be Errol with the post." Molly says
A great grey owl comes flying toward the house with a bunch of letters in it's beak, but it bumps into the window of the kitchen, completely missing the open side on the right. Everyone flinched and winced.
"Fetch it for us, will you, Percy?" Molly asks
"He's always doing that." Ron says
Percy walks over to the window as Errol jumps onto the window sill and takes the letters from the owl.
"Oh, look, it's our Hogwarts letters. And they've sent us Harry's as well. And one for Devon, too." Percy says
"A letter? From Dumbledore?" Devon says confused
Devon takes the letter from Percy as he hands it to him and opens it up. He then reads what is written on the parchment.
Dear, Devon
If you are receiving this letter, then you must be with our dear Harry Potter and the Weasley family. I trust you will watch over Harry and his friends during your visit in the Wizarding World. We, the Hogwarts Staff, and the rest of Gryffindor house eagerly look forward to spending another magical year with you at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. And I, too, look forward to seeing you again.
Sincerely, Albus Dumbledore
"Dumbledore must know you and Harry are here. Doesn't miss a trick, that man." Arthur says
"Oh, no." Molly says in agreement
"This lot won't come cheap, mum. These spell books alone are very expensive." George says
"We'll manage. There's only one place to get all of this: Diagon Alley." Molly says
Everyone gets their stuff together and moves into the living room, standing infront of the large fireplace. Harry and Ron were now wearing their black cloaks.
"Right..." Molly says
Molly walks over to the fireplace and picks up a flowerpot from the mantel. In the pot was gray powder called Floo powder.
"Here we are, Devon. You go first, dear." Molly says
"But Devon's never traveled by Floo powder before, Mum. Or Harry." Ron says
"Floo powder?" Devon asks in confusion
"Well, you go first, Ron, so they can see how it's done." Molly says
Ron steps forward and into the fireplace.
"In you go. That's it." Molly says
Ron reaches into the pot and takes a handful of Floo powder in his right-hand. Everyone moves back as Ron recites his destination loud and clear.
"Diagon Alley!" Ron says
Upon saying that, Ron drops the powder and emerald green flames rise up from the fireplace, swallowing him up. When the flames diminished, Ron was gone. He had vanished.
"You see? It's quite easy, dears. Don't be afraid. Come on." Molly says
Devon and Harry shared nervous glances with each other, but eventually, Devon steps forward to go next.
"In you go. That's it. Mind your head." Molly says
Devon steps into the fireplace and turns around to face the group.
"That's right. Now, take your Floo powder." Molly says
The Keyblade Wielder reaches into the pot with his right-hand and takes his handful of the magic powder.
"That's it, very good. Now, don't forget to speak very, very clearly." Molly says holding up a finger.
Devon looks down at the Floo powder in his hand, then looks over at Harry and the others.
"See you on the other side." Devon says
Devon takes a deep breath to relax and recite his destination, but then he chokes on the ashes in the fireplace.
"D-Diagon Alley!" Devon says
Devon throws the powder down and shuts his eyes as the green flames consumed him. Within moments, he was gone and the fireplace was empty, ready for Harry to go next.
"Okay, Harry. You next." Molly says
Harry steps up and into the fireplace, then turns to face the Weasleys.
"Don't forget your Floo powder." Molly says
Slowly, Harry reaches into the pot with his right-hand and grabs a handful of the Floo powder.
"That's it, Harry. Very good. Remember to speak very clearly." Molly says
The wizard boy looks at the powder in his closed hand, then glances up at the Weasleys before reciting his destination.
"Diagonalley!" Harry says
Harry throws down the Floo powder and the green flames consume him, whisking him away.
"What did he say, dear?" Molly asks looking at her husband
"Diagonalley." Arthur says
"I thought he did." Molly says looking back at the fireplace
Devon slides out of an empty fireplace on his back and coughs from the smoke and dust, arriving elsewhere in the Wizarding World. The Keyblade Wielder was covered in ash with some spots on his jacket and pants. He sits up and let out a sigh. Before he could rise up onto his feet, Harry slides out of the fireplace and bumps into Devon, causing him to fall forward onto his stomach. Harry picks up his spectacles on his right and puts them on. They had a big crack on the left-side of the lens, probably from when he fell out.
"Ohh..." Devon groans
The wizard boy sits up and looks infront of him to see Devon on the floor with him.
"Devon? Are you alright?" Harry asks
"Harry?" Devon says
The Keyblade Wielder pushes himself up and rises up onto his right-knee.
"Yeah. (Sigh) I'm okay." Devon says
Devon and Harry both rise up onto their feet and turn to face each other.
"Heh, I guess we got transported together, huh?" Devon says
"Yeah, but this doesn't look like Diagon Alley." Harry says
Devon and Harry glanced around at their surroundings. They appeared to be inside a large, dimly lit wizard's shop. This was Borgin and Burkes.
This shop was dim, dusty, and full of cobwebs. There were items on display, but nothing ever likely to be on a Hogwarts school list. A withered hand on a cushion, a blood-stained pack of cards on a shelf, a staring glass eye, evil-looking masks stared down from the walls, an assortment of human bones lay upon the counter, and rusty, spiked instruments hung from the ceiling.
"What is this place?" Harry asks
"A shop by the looks of it." Devon says
The two boy walk through the dark, cold store, looking around at all the creepy merchandise. Devon walks up to a display case, which had skulls of assorted sizes and shapes. He stares at one skull inside and he felt a little creeped out by it as it's eye sockets were shut closed.
"Eugh. What kind of shop sells skulls?" Devon says in disgust
Moving away, the Keyblade Wielder looks up at the ceiling, seeing the cruel, spiked instruments hanging above him. A chill went down his spine. He'd hate to think of what they were for.
"There's something sinister about this place." Devon says
Harry walks over to one side of the shop and saw a glass container with small brown, white, and black skulls inside. He, too, felt unnerved by the atmosphere of the store. Then, he looks over to his left at the old, shrunken hand on a cushion, which caught his attention. He looks down at it's tag which read: 'The Hand of Glory'. Glancing back up, he runs his right-hand along it's palm, feeling it's shriveled skin. Suddenly, the hand comes alive and viciously grabs him, pinning his hand to the shelf.
"Ah!" Harry exclaims
Harry tries to pry his hand free from the disembodied hand as it held him down, but it kept a tight grip on him. Devon turned around upon hearing Harry's voice and saw that he was in trouble.
"Harry!" Devon exclaims
Devon rushes over to Harry and helps to pry his hand free. Eventually, they break Harry's hand away and the withered hand returned to it's frozen state.
"Okay, let's get out of here." Devon says
Not wanting to stay in the shop any longer, the Keyblade Wielder and wizard boy turn to leave when the saw their rival, Draco Malfoy, appear at the window, stopping to look at the skulls on display, causing Devon and Harry to stop in their tracks. Fortunately, he did not see them in the dimly lit shop.
"Shoot! Malfoy!" Devon says
"Quick! Hide!" Harry says
Devon and Harry back away from the window and look around for someplace to hide. Harry soon spots a large sarcophagus standing vertically on his right, which seemed like a good place to hide.
"In here!" Harry says
The two boys open the lid to the right and hide inside, closing the lid just as Malfoy enters the shop. He walks over to where they just were and gazes upon The Hand of Glory. Malfoy was about to touch the shrunken hand when a silver-snake head, which was the top of a black walking stick, lands on the hand, stopping him. This cane belonged to his father, Lucius Malfoy.
Lucius Malfoy was a 39-year old British Pure-blood wizard, who had great wealth and influence in the Wizarding World. He took great pride in his aristocratic stature, believing himself to be biologically superior to Muggles and Muggle-borns.
He had a pale, pointed face, pale blond hair, and cold grey eyes. His skin was yellowish with a waxy look, his eyes were sunken and shadowed, and his voice was quite hoarse.
He wore black robes, black gloves, black boots, and carried his black walking stick.
"Don't touch anything, Draco." Lucius says
"Yes, Father." Malfoy says
The elder and young Malfoy walk through the shop, passing the display cases and shelves around them. Unknown to them, they were being watched by Devon and Harry as they both hid inside the sarcophagus, observing them through the open eyes of the coffin.
As the two Malfoys approached the counter, a man on the other side comes to greet them with a deep bow of respect. This was the shopkeeper, Mr. Borgin.
Mr. Borgin was a British Pure-blood wizard, who appeared to be in his 50s. He had a stooping body and a voice as oily as his hair.
"Mr. Malfoy, what a pleasure to see you again. And young Master Malfoy, too. Delighted. I must show you, just in today, and reasonably priced-" Mr. Borgin says
"I'm not buying anything, Borgin. I'm selling." Lucius says
The shopkeeper's face frowned when he heard that.
"Selling?" Mr. Borgin asks
"Draco!" Lucius calls in a calm manner
The younger Malfoy steps forward and places a black box with gold print markings on the counter.
"You are aware, no doubt, that the Ministry of Magic is conducting more raids on private houses. There's even rumors of a new Muggle Protection Act." Lucius says
"Pure wizard blood is counting for less everywhere, I'm afraid." Mr. Borgin says
"Not for me. Anyway, I brought a few items from home that might prove... embarrassing were the Ministry to call. Poisons and the like." Lucius says
Mr. Borgin lifts the top and folds open the box, peering at the contents inside. He takes out small vials and bottles and examines each and every one. Then, his eyes widened when he saw a particular item that caught his attention.
"Look at this..." Mr. Borgin says
What Mr. Borgin had in his hand was a black book with blank pages. It appeared to be weathered and worn out, but why Mr. Borgin was intrigued by the book was beyond anyone, except Lucius Malfoy, who immediately held it down on the counter.
"That... item is not for sale." Lucius says
"I understand. It has unique qualities... One wouldn't want to see it fall into the wrong hands." Mr. Borgin says
As Mr. Borgin takes out gold galleons to give to Lucius, the younger Malfoy walks over to the sarcophagus where Devon and Harry were hiding. The two boys held their breath as he came closer.
"You can keep the box." Lucius says
The elder Malfoy looks over at his left and saw his son observing the coffin, reaching for it with his right-hand. He takes his walking stick and holds up against the face of the sarcophagus, causing Malfoy to flinch.
"What did I say?!" Lucius says in a stern, yet calm voice
Malfoy turns and looks back over his left-shoulder at his father.
"Touch nothing." Malfoy says
"Exactly." Lucius says
"Sorry, Father." Malfoy says
While they weren't looking, Mr. Borgin takes one galleon from the pile of payment for Lucius, adding to his greed. Lucius removed his walking stick from the sarcophagus and turns back to the counter to collect his payment, grabbing the galleons and putting them into his pocket.
"Come, we are going." Lucius says
"Always a pleasure to do business with you, Mr. Malfoy. Always a pleasure." Mr. Borgin says bowing deeply to the two Malfoys as they left while slinking to the back of the shop
Soon as Mr. Borgin and the Malfoys were gone, Devon and Harry came out from the sarcophagus. Devon was amazed at how Lucius and Malfoy resembled each other. At least he and Harry now knew who Malfoy's father was. Having overstayed their visit, the two heroes quickly move for the exit when Mr. Borgin appears on their right, grabbing Devon's right-arm and forcing them to stop.
"Looking for something?" Mr. Borgin asks
"No, we... we were just in the wrong place. Sorry." Harry says
"In fact, we were just leaving." Devon says
Mr. Borgin releases his grip on Devon's arm and the Keyblade Wielder and wizard boy head out through the door of the store while the greedy shopkeeper watches them go with a raised eyebrow and a suspicious expression.
Exiting the shop, Devon and Harry come into Knockturn Alley, a dark, twisting alleyway devoted to the Dark Arts. The two boys looked around and saw many suspicious wizards and witches skulking about the streets. They all held wicked expressions, giving nasty looks at them.
"Yeesh. This don't look like a very charming place. Let's go." Devon says
Just as they turned to leave, an ugly witch grabs Devon by his shirt. Her face was covered in warts and her teeth were crooked.
"Not lost, are you, my dears?" The witch asks
"Uh, no, ma'am, we were just-" Devon says
Devon and Harry turn around to walk away, but more strangers block their path.
"Come with us. We'll help you find your way back." The witch says
The ugly witches and dark wizards began surrounding two boys and they slowly closed in on them. Devon and Harry retreated until their backs were against the stone cold walls of the alley.
"Uh, don't you think this is a little invasion of personal space?" Devon says
"No, please." Harry says
Before the witches and wizards could do anything, a big voice speaks in the alley.
"Harry? Devon?" The voice says
The witches and wizards quickly back away from Devon and Harry and everyone looks up to the stone stairs on their left. At the top of the stairs was Hagrid. Devon and Harry were relieved when they saw the half-giant.
"Hagrid!" Devon and Harry exclaim happily
"What do you think you're both doing down there? Come on." Hagrid says
Devon and Harry head up the stairs and rush over to Hagrid's side, taking their leave of Knockturn Alley.
Devon, Harry, and Hagrid come out of the dark passage to Knockturn Alley and into the bright sunshine of Diagon Alley, walking into the street, which was bustling with the more friendly witches and wizards than that of it's evil, sinister counterpart. As they walked together, Hagrid couldn't help but notice the two boys were all dirty.
"You're two are a mess. Skulking about Knockturn Alley? Dodgy place. Don't want no one to see you two around there. People will think you're up to no good." Hagrid says
"Sorry, Hagrid. First time Floo travelers. We were traveling with Ron and his family, but something must've happened. I guess me and Harry got off at the wrong fireplace." Devon says scratching the back of his head
"We got lost. We... Hang on. What were you doing down there then?" Harry asks
"Me? Oh, I was... um... I was looking for Flesh-Eating Slug Repellent. They're ruining all the school cabbages." Hagrid says
"What about Alura? How's she doing?" Devon asks
"Alura? Oh, she's doing well, Devon. Both her and her sisters. They were actually trying to help save the cabbages. I know they'll be happy to see you, Devon." Hagrid says
The two boys and half-giant continue down the street until they run into Hermione, who had just come out of the Eeylops Owl Emporium. The young witch was very happy to see them.
"Devon! Harry! Hagrid!" Hermione exclaims happily
"Hello, Hermione." Hagrid greets with a smile
"Hey, Hermione!" Devon greets with a wave of his right-hand
"It's so good to see you." Hermione says
"It's great to see you, too." Harry says
Hermione looks at Harry and notices the cracks on his spectacles.
"What did you do to your glasses?" Hermione asks
The young witch sighs and takes out her wand. Waving it infront of Harry's spectacles, she casts the same spell she used last year in their first meeting on the Hogwarts Express.
"Oculus Reparo." Hermione says
The cracks on Harry's spectacles fix themselves and disappear. Harry takes off his glasses and checks them for a moment, then puts them back on.
"I definitely need to remember that one." Harry says
"Better make note of it then, Harry." Devon says patting Harry on his right-shoulder with his left-hand
"You'll be all right, then, boys?" Hagrid asks
"Yeah. Thanks for the hand back there." Devon says
"Right, I'll leave you to it, then." Hagrid says
"See you back at Hogwarts, Hagrid." Devon says
"Thank you." Harry says
"Bye." Hermione says
Hagrid nods his head and turns to head back up the alley.
"Come on, everyone's been so worried." Hermione says
Devon and Harry follow Hermione as she leads them through the street to meet up with the Weasley family.
Traveling to the north side of Diagon Alley, the Keyblade Wielder. wizard boy, and young witch enter a bookstore halfway down the street on the left hand side. This store was Flourish and Blotts.
This store was filled to the brim with books. Shelves upon shelves line the walls from ceiling to floor with books of all sizes and different varieties. There were books as large as paving stones bound in leather, books the size of postage stamps in covers of silk, books full of peculiar symbols, and a few books with nothing in them at all. Because there was so much merchandise, various signs were posted throughout the shop as a means of helping customers find what they need.
As they came into the store, Devon couldn't help but notice how crowded it was. Dozens of people were gathered at the front of the shop and even more were in the back.
"Wow. Sure is crowded in here. Must be an event happening here or something." Devon says
Soon, Devon, Harry, and Hermione reunite with the Weasley family, who were right at the front of the crowd.
"Oh, Harry, Devon. Thank goodness. We'd hoped you'd only gone one grate too far." Molly says
"Ladies and gentlemen, Gilderoy Lockhart."
The crowd gives a round of applause as a flamboyant man stepped out to greet the from the back of the bookstore. This was Gilderoy Lockhart.
Gilderoy Lockhart was a 28-year old British/Irish half-blood wizard and a famous celebrity of the Wizarding World. He was a voracious self-promoter and he claimed to have done many great deeds in his life as a wizard.
He was foppish and handsome with wavy blonde hair and particularly straight, shiny teeth.
Lockhart wore an assortment of flamboyant, flashy and incredibly extravagantrobes, but here he wore light purple robes, golden clothing underneath, and a cloak of the same purple color.
"Mum fancies him." Ron mutters
"Make way please!" A voice says
A male photographer named Bozo works his way to the front of the crowd, moving past the group and the Weasley family.
"Let me by, madam. Thank you. Excuse me, little girl. This is for the Daily Prophet." Bozo says
With his camera, Bozo takes a picture of Gilderoy Lockhart as he poses for the shot. The celebrity turns to the right for another, but then he saw Devon and Harry in the front.
"It can't be. Harry Potter? And Devon, the Keyblade Wielder?" Lockhart says
"Harry Potter! Devon!" Bozo exclaims in surprise
Bozo grab Harry first and pulls him over to Lockhart, then he grabs Devon and brings him over next.
"Nice big smile, boys. Together, we'll rate the front page." Lockhart says
Bozo gets his shot with his camera of the three of them standing together. Devon felt a tad bit awkward, but he gave an embarrasses smile as the camera flashes, taking their picture.
"Ladies and gentlemen, what an extraordinary moment this is. When these young boys stepped into Flourish and Blotts this morning to purchase my autobiography, Magical Me..." Lockhart says
The crowd applauds while Devon rolls his eyes. This guy was really into fame.
"Uh... That wasn't really the reason." Devon says in his thoughts
"Which, incidentally, is currently celebrating its 27th week atop the Daily Prophet bestseller list, they had no idea that they would in fact be leaving..." Lockhart says
An assistant in the bookstore comes up with two sets of books and gives them to Lockhart, who, in turn, gives them to Devon and Harry.
"...with my entire collected works free of charge." Lockhart says
Bozo takes his third and final photograph and takes his leave. Devon and Harry head back over to their friends while Lockhart sits down to begin his book-signing.
"Now. Ladies?" Lockhart says
Devon and Harry walk over to Molly and she takes their books.
"Boys, you give me those and I'll get them signed." Molly says
"Sure thing, Mrs. Weasley." Devon says
"All of you, wait outside." Molly says
Devon, Harry, and their friends move through the crowd and walk toward the exit when Malfoy steps down from the staircase on their right, blocking their path.
"Bet you and Devon loved that, didn't you, Potter? Famous Harry Potter, and the Keyblade Wielder, can't even goM, through a book store without making the front page." Malfoy says
"Nice to see you too, Malfoy." Devon says in a sarcastic voice
Ginny moves infront of Devon and Harry, eager to defend them from their rival.
"Leave them alone." Ginny says
"Oh, look, Potter. You got yourself a girlfriend." Malfoy says
"Hey, Malfoy. We all know you won't have one. Certaintly not with that attitude..." Devon says
Devon looks at Malfoy with a smirk on his face.
"...and a good pair." Devon says
Harry, Ron, Hermione, Fred, George, and Ginny snicker and laugh. Malfoy sneered and was about to say something until a silver-snake head, the top of a black walking stick lands on his right-shoulder. It was his Lucius Malfoy.
"Now, now, Draco, play nicely." Lucius says
Malfoy steps aside for his father as he steps forward. Lucius looks over the two heroes, gazing at Harry first, then Devon.
"Harry Potter. Devon." Lucius says smiling
Lucius extends his right-hand out to the boys, offering a handshake.
"Lucius Malfoy. We meet at last."
Devon was a bit reluctant at first, knowing that this was Malfoy's father, the man who spoiled his son, but not wanting to be rude, he takes Lucius' hand. The elder Malfoy looks down at Devon's right-hand as he held it and notices the Celestial Ring on his middle-finger as it glowed with it's light.
"Interesting ring you have. No doubt it is imbued with great power." Lucius says
Shifting his gaze, Lucius takes a peculiar interest in the Kingdom Hearts necklace around Devon's neck and he lifts it up with his cane. The crystal emblem emitted a brief glow of light, which the elder Malfoy noticed.
"And your necklace. I recognize this symbol. The signature mark of a Keyblade Wielder." Lucius says
"It was given to me by my mother. And I wear it proudly." Devon says
"I've heard much about your order, Devon. The great Keyblade Wielders of yore. Ah, the Keyblade. Such a fascinating tool. Much like a wizard's wand, but full of incredible power." Lucius says
The elder Malfoy removes his cane from Devon's necklace, setting it down on his chest, and turns his gaze toward Harry.
"Harry." Lucius says
Like Devon, Harry reluctantly shakes his hand next. Lucius then pulled Harry toward him.
"Forgive me." Lucius says
Using his cane, Lucius gently brushes Harry's hair away and gazes upon his lightning-shaped scar.
"Your scar is legend, as, of course, is the wizard who gave it to you." Lucius says
"Voldemort killed my parents." Harry says
Harry steps back from Lucius.
"He was nothing more than a murderer." Harry says
"You must be very brave to mention his name, or very foolish." Lucius says
"Fear of a name only increases fear of the thing itself." Hermione says
Lucius looks over at Hermione on his right, shifting his gaze toward her.
"You must be Miss Granger. Yes. Draco's told me all about you and your parents." Lucius says
Hermione glances left at her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Granger as they enjoyed a lovely conversation with Arthur Weasley. She then looks back at Lucius, who had his cold eyes on them as well.
"Muggles, aren't they?" Lucius says
Lucius then looks over at the Weasleys.
"Let me see. Red hair, vacant expressions..." Lucius says
The elder Malfoy picks up a brown book that was in a metal bucket that Ginny held in her hands and looks down at it.
"...tatty secondhand book... you must be the Weasleys." Lucius says
After finishing his chat with the Grangers, Arthur meets up with the group.
"Children, Devon, it's mad in here. Let's go outside." Arthur says
"Well, well, well... Weasley senior." Lucius says
Arthur looks at Lucius with a spiteful look on his face and spoke his name with venom in his voice.
"Lucius..." Arthur says
"Busy time at the Ministry, Arthur, all those extra raids? I do hope they're paying you overtime..." Lucius says
The elder Malfoy holds up the book in his hand.
"...but judging by the state of this, I'd say not. What's the use in being a disgrace to the name of wizard if they don't even pay you well for it?" Lucius says
"We have a very different idea about what disgraces the name of wizard, Malfoy." Arthur says
"Clearly." Lucius says
Lucius looks over at Mr. and Mrs. Granger as they gaze at the books around them.
"Associating with Muggles..." Lucius says
Turning back to Arthur, Lucius puts the book back in the bucket, along with the black, worn book he had kept on his person, which nobody noticed.
"And I thought your family could sink no lower." Lucius says
Arthur wanted to say something at Lucius, but it probably wouldn't be appropriate with Devon, Harry, Ron, Hermione, and his family present. Plus, he didn't want to cause a scene infront of the patrons in the store. And so, he said nothing and just stared at the pure-blood wizard.
"I'll see you at work." Lucius says
Lucius takes his leave and exits the store. Malfoy follows his father, but not before glaring at Devon and the Wizarding Trio.
"See you at school." Malfoy says
After saying that, Malfoy leaves the bookstore while the group watches him go. Devon narrowed his eyes as Malfoy left. House-elves, an evil plot in the shadows, and a celebrity wizard. The Keyblade Wielder had a feeling that his second visit in the Wizarding World was about to get very interesting.
Author's Note: Back to Diagon Alley! Devon and Harry travel by Floo powder and accidentally arrive in the dark, foreboding streets of Knockturn Alley. But fortunately, Hagrid is there to help them out. They meet up with Hermione and the rest of their friends and head to Flourish and Blotts where they meet Gilderoy Lockhart, the celebrity wizard. Then, they run into Draco Malfoy and his Father, Lucius Malfoy, which was a rather unpleasant conversation. Thanks for the small list of female voice references for Alura LightHeart. I'll look through each of them and figure out which one suits her best, and keep the others for any other OCs in the future, like Alura's unicorn sisters. It's now time to head back to Hogwarts. Let me know what you guys think. No flames please. Hope you guys like and don't forget to review!
