Al's Diner

On his way to Al's Diner to see his brother Tom for lunch, Christopher was feeling more upbeat and positive lately after the past couple of months. Katie telling Chris that she was pregnant was something he'll never forget and since then the two of them have been making plans here and there for appointments, etc. But they did promise one another to at least communicate better and be on the same page, because this is something the two of them wanted for a long time. Whenever they tried to make a baby together, it felt like nothing could work but Chris proposed that they should at least have fun when making their child. After the whole Donovan situation, Chris wanted to start the process of having another kid but Simon got in the way of that, even if he wasn't pining for Katie anymore. Simon went through his own cancer diagnosis and was going through treatment outside of Oakdale to where he lives in Australia. Well the man was nowhere near them anymore, so Chris and Katie can move on to bigger things. Approaching the restaurant, Chris opens the door and tells one of the staffer's he's here to see Tom as he's lead to the table where Tom is before he waves at him.

Chris - *Smiles* "There he is, it's so good to see you Tom"

Tom - "Likewise Chris, I am so glad we can have this today before both of us go back to work"

The two brothers hug each other before they sit down at their table. Tom could tell that Chris was in different vibe which felt good so something had to happen to his brother.

Tom - "You definitely sound a little more chipper today than usual Chris. What's got you in such a good mood?"

Chris - "Katie and I...are FINALLY going to be parents Tom, it's going to be amazing"

Tom - "Are you serious? When did you find this out? When did she actually tell you the good news?"

Chris - "A couple weeks ago, I was over the moon Tom when we found out together. Katie wasn't feeling well that day so she had to use a pregnancy test and it turned positive"

Tom - "Does Jacob know?"

Chris - "Yep, the little tyke's excited to have a brother or a sister so it felt so special for his parents to them everything"

Tom - "Well congratulations brother, you and Katie are going to make great parents to this child. So what happens now?"

Chris - "We should be getting word of when our first appointments will happen. Then during the pregnancy we'll start going to lamaze classes"

Tom - "Sounds like a good plan to me Chris, but yeah, you must be feeling really good right now where life is headed right?"

Chris - "Of course I do Tom, everything is coming together and I wouldn't have it any other way"

Tom - "Good...because you don't want to take anything for granted. Anything can happen when it comes to the pregnancy, just make sure Katie's taken care of"

Chris - *Chuckles* "She's her own woman Tom and a tomboy might I add. She can handle herself through the good and the bad"

Tom - "Yes, but that wasn't what I meant Christopher"

Chris - "Then what are you trying to say?"

Tom - "What I am trying to say is...just make sure someone else like Simon doesn't take Katie away from you if things go south, because if that happens it'll blow up in your face"

Chris frowned when he mentioned Simon in what Tom just told him. What does Simon has to do with this anyway? The man from down under is gone from Oakdale and he wasn't coming back...hopefully. Simon was focusing on his health and tumor he had but from what Katie told him and knowing him a little bit, the man can multitask before doing both so Simon can keep himself busy. It wasn't like Chris was jealous of the Simon in anyway shape or forum right? Okay, maybe just a LITTLE jealous of the man as the waitress introduces herself and gives the two men the menus before asking them what they wanted to drink. Chris told the waitress what he wanted to start with for a drink, but was still processing what Tom just said to him. Katie reconfirmed her love to him when Simon left town so there was nothing to worry about in the least right? Katie loved Chris, he was her husband and she was his wife, they were raising Jacob together. This baby was created in their love, but somewhere in the back of Chris's mind, he did wonder how Simon would feel about this? Would he be jealous? Would he be butt hurt if the child wasn't his? To be honest, it'll serve Simon right if he was jealous, because none of it is his business.

Oakdale Police Department

In the locker room area of the OPD, Jack Bradford had his hands full with Nikki sitting on his lap and kissing him. The two of them didn't care who or what was going to walk in here, unless it was Margo, but for now they were just enjoying this small time they have together. They were being themselves, well the old themselves when the two were an item a long time ago. Jack and Nikki just now finished a regular training session between each other as Jack knew Nikki still had it in her. The training she went through in the other organization and the FBI showed that her talents have improved a lot since the last time they saw one another. Nikki always kept Jack on his toes when they were in training together back in Dallas, but in the end Jack was always the one who came out on top. Since Nikki and Jack resumed their relationship they did the same things that the two did when they were in Texas, go out to eat, dance and maybe head back to Jack's place to take a ride with some of the horses, then at least enjoy the rest of the evening. Jack's arms were wrapped around Nikki's waist, still kissing her, after the two of them changed back from their gym clothes to what they wore for work.

Jack - "You know I am starting to think maybe we should take the rest of the day off from work"

Nikki - *Grins* "And miss out on a wonderful pay day? Not a chance cowboy"

Jack - "Too bad, I would of loved taking you somewhere nice and quiet. You know, where we can get some good rest and relaxation"

Nikki - "Peace and quiet as well? Maybe some other time Jack, my schedule's pretty busy right now you know?"

Jack - "The FBI and the OPD must have you booked to the nines these days huh?"

Nikki - "Mostly from the FBI but I don't mind it, that and the OPD does keep me busy. It helps keep me focused on the task at hand"

Parker - "Oh really sis?"

Jack and Nikki were startled when they looked behind them to see Parker standing in the entrance of the locker room with a grin on his face. Nikki immediately got up and straightened herself out before Jack stood up slowly. How were Jack and Nikki going to explain this to him? They couldn't really hide this from Parker anymore.

Parker - "So what do we have here? Two love birds sitting in a tree? The only thing that's missing is a tree to carve your names on there""

Nikki - "It's not what you think it is Parker"

Jack - "Nikki...let's not keep this from him. Besides, he's your brother and he's has a right to know"

Parker - "Keep what from me?"

Jack - "Would you like to do the honors Nikki?"

Parker - "She doesn't have to Jack...you and her are together...right?"

Nikki - "Yes Parker...were together"

Parker - "Ha ha...I KNEW it!"

Parker laughed and pointed at them as Nikki rolled her eyes, while Jack scratched his head. But it was about that time for everyone to know already about the two of them dating. When they hooked up again and slept together at Jack's home, the day after that the two made it look like nothing had happened. Nikki and Jack kept everything professional at work as no one noticed anything different from the two of them. Hell, when Jack would go to the locker room to get something, there was always Nikki from behind from sneaking away from her desk and kissing him before she went back to her desk. But Nikki and Jack couldn't out fool anyone, as Parker could have been the only one to notice, to pick up the certain clues. He just saw their moment of weakness right in front of them when the lovers kissed each other. It was kind of sloppy from Parker's perspective, Jack and Nikki were almost one in the same as that had to be one of them giving each other traits for them to carry on. Now that Parker knew about this, how was he going to react to the news for the rest of this? There was nothing else he could do about it but there has to be more Parker could say based on what he just saw.

Frasier Investigations

Parking his car near the pier in Melbourne, Australia, Simon turned off the ignition and got out before he stretched and moved his neck around. Coming off of treatment for his tumor, Simon felt like he went through a fight in the middle of the ring but that was expected when you go through something that prevents the tumor from going. When he came back to the land from down under and continued treatment, Simon also continued to move on with his life from Katie, who Simon know is living a good life from her husband Chris. He was someone that Simon wasn't a big fan of himself when he first saw him and attending Katie's wedding, but Christopher was the man who can make Katie happy. Simon has made her happy but at the same time also broke her heart on occasions when he didn't mean too. She wasn't up for that lifestyle anyway but at least now she had a stable life with a good man. Approaching his office, Simon saw the door was nearly opened which made him start to become cautions. So Simon slowly walks up to the door before he opens it and comes inside seeing someone sitting in his chair at his desk.

Simon - "Excuse me, but can I help you? You could of knocked you know?"

Voice - "Maybe more like, you can help me mister Simon Frasier"

Simon immediately knew that voice who just spoke, it was a female. Turning around in the chair was none other than Molly Conlan to the aussie's surprise, before Simon closed the door behind him. This was a surprise to Simon, one he didn't expect to take place today but he hoped there weren't any more surprises out there.

Simon - "Molly Conlan?"

Molly - "Hello Simon, I am sorry for making an entrance like that but you know me. A journalist always has to plan ahead"

Simon - "Well next time just knock please? I hate surprises, but what brings you here?"

Molly - "Good question Frasier, there's a good reason I came to your office because there's something I need help with"

Simon - "And what would that be?"

Molly - "Recently I got a voicemail message from someone Simon. In a million years I would never thought to hear his voice again when he died but...it just sounded like him. Maybe too good to be true"

Simon - "Who was it?"

Molly - "Have you ever heard the name of Jake McKinnon?"

Simon - "Somewhat, didn't he die because of some mad woman who took you hostage?"

Molly frowned before thinking of that horrible night when Jake came in to rescue her. The man was stupid for not going in there with police but he couldn't help it, he had to save Molly. Too bad it cost the man his life and Molly, a soon to be wife since they were once engaged. They could have had such a great life together if it wasn't for Mary.

Molly - "That bitch Mary...she's the reason Bridget and Michelle had no father because of her own stupidity. Thankfully she's still rotting in jail or Mary would be raw fish by now"

Simon - "I'm sorry to hear of that Molly. heard Jake was a very good guy and a great journalist. But what do you need from me?"

Molly - "Call me crazy Simon but...Jake may or may not be alive but I need your help in order to prove it. Will you help me?"

Simon could see the pleading look written all over her face and in her eyes. That is what she wanted the most and working with Simon could help Molly put her ease to rest when they find the truth together.

Simon - "Alright Molly, you got yourself a deal. I'll help you, as long as we focus on the main goal at hand, now let's get to work"

Molly was glad but most of all pleased that Simon will help her for this, because she had to know the real truth about the man who captured Molly's heart. Showing Simon her cell phone and the message she played for him it was clear that Jake needed help from Molly but that was in. So he took her cell phone and turned on the computer before he went into his database, then used it to trace the call. While Simon was looking up the phone call and where it came from, Molly's thoughts were on Jake and what if he could be in any kind of trouble. Molly didn't know the kind of people who were holding him hostage or keeping him from reuniting with his family, but it had to all go back to Mary. If there search, wherever it leads them turns up cold, then the last resort would lead to Mary and getting questions out of her which she didn't want too. But at the end of the day Molly was all about the truth and so was Jake, as she owed it to him to resolve everything of finding out whether he's alive or if he's truly dead. But if that was the case, who in their right mind would be so sick enough to send Molly voice mail message that has Jake's voice? It could be anyone but who though? And what other enemies did Jake have?

Al's Diner

Taking a sip of his drink when the waiter came back with what they ordered to start, Chris still didn't answer to what Tom said. At first he didn't need to and thought Tom probably wanted another reaction out of him but from the look on Tom's face, he was so concerned. The lawyer was always looking out for his brother, including the days where when Chris got in to legal trouble with Alison or messed up as Memorial Hospital had a lawsuit out of something Chris did. It didn't matter, Tom had his back and would help Chris legally in any way. If Simon had packed his face in with his fist then Chris would have no problem going to court with him or any guy who was a physical threat to him with Tom as the lawyer. But this wasn't about legal battles here or legal battles there, just Tom being a brother to Chris. He was just trying to help and not push his buttons but Chris did not like it that much when Simon's name was mention. Chris and Katie never talk about Simon that much because they didn't think of him a lot. But he had to be honest to his brother and not lie to him since the lawyer in Tom will call him out on it. Tom takes a sip of his own drink and puts it back then.

Chris - "Why did you have to mention his name?"

Tom - "I was just making a point Chris, it wasn't against you but also pointing out that anything's possible. Don't take Katie for granted, even when she's pregnant"

Chris - "Because a man like Simon might take her away from me?"

Tom - "That all depends if you play your cards right Chris. Don't let him get inside of your head, you know what happens if you do Chris"

Chris - "Right, but what about Katie? She kissed Simon on the island that one night where I could of died and more could of taken place"

Tom - "And you told me about that the next day, you were so angry, rightfully so. But Katie never meant to hurt you Chris, that was just in the moment"

Chris - "It still should not have happened Tom. I forgave her but sometimes it still bothers me that the whole thing happened"

Tom - "Look on the bright side Chris, Katie is still with you to this very day and the two of you are going to be parents to a boy or a girl"

Chris - "You're right Tom, that should be my main focus too and Jacob as well. Katie and I don't want to break that kid's heart too. I mean look at you Tom, you're married, you have a great wife, great sons and grandchild as well"

Tom - "I've got everything that I need and so do you Chris, so let's make a toast shall we?"

Chris - "Okay, what do we toast too?"

Tom - "New beginnings, a successful pregnancy for Katie and a healthy birth of your child, boy or girl"

Chris - "I'll drink to that"

The two brothers clink their glasses and start to drink again before the waitress came back with their orders for lunch. While the waitress came at the right time, there was some part in Chris's mind that thought maybe everything was going to be alright this time. Donovan hasn't shown his face or escaped from prison but if he did then Simon should deal with it and make sure that animal doesn't come back to Oakdale. Chris could care less what happens to Donovan but he didn't want Simon to die but if two birds get taken out a the same time, Katie would be really sad because of losing Simon. But at least Simon couldn't come back to town with all of his drama and everything that he loved to bring, intentional or not intentional. So as the two brothers eat their lunch, Tom hoped Chris took what he said seriously. At times Chris can be a little full of himself on the side and sometimes forget what Tom or someone in the family told him. Chris likes to go off on his own so he can handle his own problems which can get him into trouble. Chris wasn't perfect and neither was Tom but the difference between them is, Tom thinks about he acts just like Chris. The only thing is Chris can act on emotion with his heart, not with his head the two brothers continue to eat lunch.

Oakdale Police Department

As Parker starts to recover and settle down from his laughter from finding out that Nikki and Jack Bradford are together once again. Jack knew what was coming from Parker but he wouldn't be against the kid if he warned him to not hurt Nikki or break her heart. Jack wasn't always perfect, even when he was in Texas and became an officer, later a detective in the Dallas Police Department he would have outbursts when someone he locked up got out over corruption. Nikki had to calm him down and get him to see the brighter picture in what they would do next in order to nail the guy. Sometimes Jack went a little too crazy in order to get answers when he was interrogating someone and almost beating that person up but Nikki had to reign him in and calm the guy down. That just shows how much Nikki was always the light that shinned away the darkness and the rage in Jack at times because he was so much committed to the law. Since Jack and Nikki came back to each other's lives, there's still times when Nikki had to be the one to step in, to calm Jack down again. Parker puts his hands up as he clears his throat preparing to speak but Nikki didn't know what he was going to say.

Parker - "Man, the two of you are back with each other again, after everything that happened?"

Nikki - "Yes we are Parker so there's nothing for you to see here okay? Jack and I were just leaving so we can go back to work"

Jack - "Hold on Nikki, now I know what you're thinking Parker and your sister probably told you everything about the two of us"

Parker - "Yeah, she did but the past is the past right? There's no need for us to go down memory lane since I wasn't there in Texas, but one thing before you two leave"

Parker steps up to Jack before Jack sighs as Parker makes sure to look Jack in the eyes while Nikki looks on in annoyance.

Parker - "I love this woman right next to you Jack, she's my sister. She deserves everything and heart doesn't need to be shattered again"

Jack - "Just don't hurt her...right?"

Parker - "Yes"

Jack - "And I won't do that, I love Nikki too much to destroy everything once again. You have my word on that Parker"

Parker - "Good to know, now if you guys excuse me I need to change for a nice workout. Someone else is running later"

Jack Snyder comes into the locker room area and saw the three of his colleagues but sensed that something wasn't right. He hoped a fight had not break out between them but there were no signs of broken fists, black eyes, etc.

Jack - "Oh hey guys...everything okay? Did I interrupt something?"

Nikki - "No Jack, the two of us were just leaving and going back to work. You and Parker can continue what you two had planned"

Jack and Nikki leave the locker room area as Jack Snyder, who was curious, arched his eyebrow before looking over at Parker.

Jack - "What was that all about?"

Parker - "Nothing dad, just the three of us catching up on old times"

Shrugging his shoulders, Jack sat down on the bench while Parker took off his shoes as the two men started to change into their clothes to go to the gym that's in the OPD. Parker wasn't trying to come off as the bad guy in the situation that happened before his dad came in, he was looking out for his sister, that's all. If Faith had ruined things between himself and Parker, Nikki would of done the same thing to look out for her little brother so there's that. After getting to know Bradford since the day he was transferred to the OPD, Jack noticed a couple of things about him. Sometimes when he walked past his desk he would see a picture here and there of him and Nikki, though he never brought it up to Jack since he was a private man. Parker was someone who respected people's privacy and didn't indulge until he or she open themselves up to him. On the bright side, for Parker he was having a child of his own so that should be his focus, not anything else that was standing in his way. It's hard for him to believe that he's going to be like Jack and Hal, a father who will raise his child to be a good person. And who knows? Maybe one day that child will grow up to be like his father and grandfathers before him.

Frasier Investigations

While Simon was looking into more information on the phone number and the voicemail, Simon noticed Molly was pacing back and forth in his office. She was waiting on him to give her the answers, and to be honest Simon couldn't blame her. He didn't know Jake all that well but could tell Molly and him had history together in the past. Simon didn't even know that they used to be together before Jake died, but as always when it comes to his clients, he needs to make sure he has everything so that Simon gives them closure in a way. He couldn't control what Molly will do moving forward after the investigation is complete but Simon wasn't going to lie or keep anything from Molly. Molly was a smart woman after the past couple of times they've ran into each other in the past. It's obvious she learned a lot from Jake on the investigations part and what it's like to be a journalist that Simon respected. He wasn't a fan of media or journalism these days since they changed into something more nasty, but for someone like Molly, whom he read a lot of her work, Simon respected her more than a couple others. Okay, there was Emily and Paul though the Invader was a little bit gossip than actual journalism.

Simon - "Alright, I found it Molly"

Molly - "About time, what did you find Simon?"

Simon - "The phone call is located somewhere in Canada based upon this address. I can't make it out what it is"

Molly - "Let me see, maybe I can read it"

Simon moves out of the way before Molly puts her hands on the side of the desk to read the address and the location.

Molly - "Simon, it's in Canada, the same place where a farmer once raised Jake's children in Bridget and Michelle"

Simon - "Do you think that's where Jake is right now?"

Molly - "Yes, we should get there right now as we speak Simon. There's no time to loose"

Simon - "Now hold on, we need to go over a couple of things first. Right now I am going through chemotherapy treatment"

Molly - "Chemotherapy treatment?"

Simon - "I have a tumor in my brain, it's been there since last summer. The treatment has been working well despite it kicking my ass from time to time"

Molly - "Oh my god Simon, I am so sorry, but if you told me that earlier then we wouldn't be here talking to one another"

Simon - "It's fine Molly, but right now the tumor has shrieked in half ,so I can still investigate this with you. Let's just take it easy okay?"

Molly - "Of course, but what if something happens?"

Simon - "Then when we get to Canada, take me to the nearest hospital so a doctor can help me after the danger. Nit should be no problem at all since I don't feel that much pain. A couple of hours ago I just had a chemotherapy appointment and I am feeling fine for the moment

Molly - "Are you sure you're alright? If not then you can give me all the resources you need so that I can go at this my own"

Simon - "No, you're not doing that Molly, were going to do this together...as a team alright? That's it, now I will need to get everything together and we can leave by tonight if that works for you"

Molly - "Yeah sure, i'll call you when I am ready, then we'll meet at the airport. How about that?"

Simon - "Deal Molly, you know I hope you get what you need so that you can be happy in the end"

Molly - "Thank you Simon, I should get going. See you later at the airport, you won't regret this, I promise you that"

Simon nod before the two shook hands as Simon lead Molly outside his office. Closing the door behind him, Simon went back to work on his desk to answer e-mails, answer phone calls and continue to do whatever he could so that the man can plan ahead for his next trip. The life of Private Investigator never stops when you have cases to work on and it kept Simon busy. Even when he goes to his appointments for chemotherapy, after that he either goes home to relax or to his office to do what has to be done. Of course Simon got the rest once his appointments are done and was reminded by his doctors to not overwork himself. It wasn't like Simon was going to get bored or be miserable, and he made a promise to Katie that he would continue to live his life and not make any regrets. She was one of the reasons why Simon continued to fight and kick this brain tumors ass so that it doesn't exist anymore. Was Simon scared all the time? No, Simon never feared death if it came knocking at his door, if he was too weak then he would accept it but the man has so much more to give.
