Chapter 40 :o
I patiently waited in the corner of the elevator, waiting for us to reach the first floor.
My hand hovered over my currently sheathed blade. Even though it was cut in half, I still found it not to be as bad as I thought.
I had tried to find the other half, but was sad to see it had been burned to a crisp, making me afraid to return back to Zoe.
I didn't think about it too hard as Remleon shifted a bit as we reached the bottom floor.
With a grunt, he walked through the elevator but immediately whipped out his blade as there was movement near the entrance. I ran out as well and prepared myself for whatever was coming.
I was surprised, however, to see Zoe burst through the door in a dead sprint, stumbling as blood dripped down a cut on her leg, visible because her tights were ripped in the area.
"Perseus!" She called out, before reaching me. She was breathing heavily.
"Woah there?" I said, catching her as she literally fell forward.
She flinched at my touch, and I had no doubt she contemplated attacking, but thankfully didn't kill me as I helped her steady herself.
"I though you two had died for sure..." she said eventually. "It had been almost an hour, and you still hadn't returned." She said.
"We're fine." I said gruffly. "But what about you? What happened to the ones outside."
Zoe stiffened up. "Actually, I think you should come see for yourself?" She said mysteriously.
I didn't know what she meant exactly, but I nodded and took the lead, the other two following me.
I didn't know what to expect, but my hand didn't leave my side where my sword hung on its belt.
I burst through the door to see that it was already getting dark outside, something I wasn't sure I liked. However, the space in front of us was brightly lit up, letting me clearly see the beings in front of me.
My eyes locked on the three, Limos, Hysiminai, and Makhai, the two male gods flanking Limos. My heart spiked as I considered that Limos had betrayed me, but I kept my cool.
We reached the the gods, and I spoke.
"Limos," I asked. "What is this?"
The goddess raised a brow. "What do you mean? I told you I'd help you in whatever way I could right? This is it." She said.
I glanced briefly at the two gods behind her and then back at her.
Zoe shifted to my side. "Percy... explain. What's going on?" She asked.
I sighed. "Back at the ruins, when Limos had taken me up to the sky," I started, pointing up. "Limos told me of a plan to stop the Androktasiai. More specifically, Pseudea." I said.
Limos let out a deep breath. "I had planned on stepping in earlier, but I couldn't because of how spread out you all were." She said. "Even me coming now was a big risk."
Before I could say something, Remleon stepped forward and said something for the first time.
"So you mean to say your fighting against your own siblings? I guess that's fair, but how about them two." He said, pointing at the two gods behind her.
Hysiminai scowled and Makhai kept the same blank face, though neither said a word.
Limos walked back and stood side by side with the two.
She put a hand around each of them and drew them in.
"I've already talked sense into both of them. Up until now, they had been listening to Pseudea, but they've stopped, rightfully so." She said.
The goddess focused onto Makhai.
"Though this one seemed to have fought simply for the sake of fighting." She said, punching down on the gods head, not hard, but more like a form of discipline.
The dark gods head steamed as his head bent downward, but he said nothing.
Obviously annoyed, Hysiminai said, "Wether or not Pseudea is wrong, I still find helping these guys stupid." He said with annoyance. Limos turned her attention to the other god.
"Do you mean to say that your little sisters crusade is pointless?" Asked the goddess with hands on her hips.
Hysiminai's face contorted as he gave a look that said "What?". He eventually sighed and threw his hands up.
"Whatever, but if things blow up in your face, don't expect us to help." He grumbled. "To think I'd get bossed around by my little sister..."
"What was that?" Asked Limos with a pointed look. "I'd -..." the goddess trailed off as Remleon stepped forward and walked towards Makhai, drawing all the attention.
The wolf came face to face with the charcoal god, both with intense gazes, though neither showed emotion.
My mind raced as I wondered what the wolf would do. The two had fought multiple times, and though Remmy had originally won, Makhai had had the upper hand in every other fight. I grew worried as I wondered if Remleon planned on ending things here. Another fight would not be favorable right now.
To my surprise though, and to everyone's who was present, Remleon did something I never thought I would see.
The wolf stuck out his hand towards the god.
"It seems like we're no longer on different sides. I guess that means we're done fighting." He said diplomatically, but his face didn't change.
I wondered if he planned on slamming the god as soon as they gripped hands.
As soon as I doubted Makhai could even hear words based of his lack of reaction, he surprised me just as much as Remmy.
The god took the wolf's hand and shook.
He said no words, but let off slight steam out his sides.
Based of the two other gods reactions, it made me think the gods reaction was completely out of left field, and I wasn't surprised. I never expected him to be the kind to agree on something, specially not with Remleon.
Limos however, quickly recovered and spoke.
"G-good. Now that that's settled, we need to find out what we do next." Said the goddess.
I gave her a deep stare.
"Is it not obvious. We go to Palms Place and face off with Pseudea." I said.
The group went quiet as they processed my words. Everyone could tell that we were in no shape to fight, and me especially so. The fact that I was the one to say it was probably surprising.
Hysiminai let out something mixed between a scowl and a laugh. "You really think you stand a chance, even now?" He asked.
I grunted. "It doesn't matter what I think, I still have to fight him. If I die trying, then so be it.
Limos thought for a moment before shaking her head. "I shouldn't be surprised, even now. If you truly insist, Percy, then I have to tell you, I cannot help you past this point, well at least past the point you enter the Palms." She said. I noted she called me Percy, but didn't pay much attention to it.
"Pseudea...he set up a barrier that not even we can cross. Up until now, everyone was on board with whatever plan he was brewing up, but now it seems he knows of what we're doing even here. The fact still stands that Pseudea is the strongest of the Androktasiai, and without Riyu not even we have a chance against him.
"But you three are different. As mortals not bound by the Ancient laws, you have the power to challenge Pseudea alone. Of course, you may not survive, but you still have a chance."
I thought about her words hard for a second before I answered. Even though I had done so much to get to this point, running into what would probably be my death was still hard.
"You talk of this plan of Pseudea'a and the other Androktasiai mentioned something too. What exactly is it?"
Limos shook her head. "I couldn't tell you, and the only ones who know are too far away to contact in time. I'm afraid the only way you'll find out is by asking Pseudea himself."
I sighed as I made up my mind, not without a heavy heart.
I turned towards Zoe and Remleon.
"Well... it seems that is that's time. Like I said, it's too late for me to turn back, but it's up to you two if you stick with me or not. I understand if you don't..."
Zoe shook her head and held a hand up to stop me, "You don't understand Perseus, we're here on our own accord. We've gone through it's as much as you, and don't plan on turning back any time soon." She said, and Remleon nodded.
I looked between the two for a second and felt my heart get filled with gratitude. I was so used to working alone and for myself that I never realized how much more enjoyable working with others would be.
I could've smiled if I didn't know that all of this would be temporary...
I turned back to Limos.
"You heard it here. We're ready for Pseudea." I said confidently.
The goddess scanned us all separately with a slight look of awe.
"All three of yours resolves, they are admirable. I wish you the best of luck on the rest of your quest." She said. "But it's time for me and my brothers to leave as we have other things to do.
Farewell Percy, and good luck." She said the last words with a smile, making me turn around with a red face.
As soon as I looked back, the gods were gone, leaving us three alone.
Before any of us could speak, I swiftly dropped to the floor and landed flat on my back.
"Perseus!" Zoe said, but I raised a hand, signaling I was okay.
"I just needa relax. Sit with me." I said casually, as if we weren't about to fight a battle for our lives.
The hunter looked perplexed, but shifted her focus to Remleon as he got down and laid back with me as well.
I gave Zoe a look, beckoning her to sit with us.
Zoe held my gaze, perplexed, before giving in.
The huntress laid back flat, and together, the three of us gazed at the stars above that were somehow visible.
I knew that we would have to get up eventually, but something about looking up to the sky was therapeutic, beckoning me to stay where I was.
Little did I know that a goddess was currently staring back at me (us), radiating her aura onto us, healing us without our knowledge.
Bonus Chapter
Short chapter I know, but I have something written in order to make up for it.
This is something I wanted to write because I didn't feel like posting such a short chapter, plus the idea is kinda cool.
So yeah, enjoy this bonus chapter
One Shot Interactions (Son of Thanatos)
Deimos and Artemis.
Two gods stood high up on a New York building, there's eyes locked in on a specific location miles away. Somehow the two were able to see, despite the distance.
"That boy." Started the female god with disgust.
She was shorter then the boy who stood at her side, yet she spoke with much more authority. Despite this, the other being was seemingly unbothered, though he knew his place.
"...though he is quite disrespectful, he seems to be somewhat useful."
Deimos, the boy to her left, shrugged. "He's alright."
Artemis raised a brow. "You are the one who trained him?"
"To a point, yea I guess, but most of that's natural." He said. "I'm sure you know what he's capable of." The god gave Artemis a slight glance.
She nodded. "He contains a artifact strong enough to rival the weapons of the gods. Why Zeus has let him live for so long, I don't know. As soon as I'm given permission to start the hunt on him..." the Huntress didn't finish as she clenched her first.
Deimos said nothing. Though Percy was his friend, there wasn't much he could do against the Olympians. That didn't mean he would simply let her kill him though.
"I'm sure Zeus has a reason. After all, he did technically save Olympus not even a year ago." Replied the god.
Artemis scoffed. "Hardly. He stopped that god Orcus only for his own gain. Besides, how much damage could a minor god do alone."
Deimos raised a brow. Though he himself was a minor god, he remained quiet. Artemis did respect him quite a bit ever since the whole Heracles situation, he wasn't comfortable enough to challenge the stubborn goddess.
"However, I shall let him live as he is under your care, Deimos. I trust you to make the right decisions with him, as it seems like he will be a crucial piece in times to come." She said mysteriously, though Deimos understood, nodding in confirmation.
"Your aware of another demigod? A son of Poseidon?" Asked the god out of the blue. It was Artemis's turn to raise a brow.
"I do, though I haven't seen him in person. Why? I never believed you one to be I treated in demigod matters.
"It's nothing. It's just I often hear Phobos compare the boy to Percy, and I wanted to know more." He replied.
Artemis though for a moment. "Understandable. They are both demigods who stand above the average of today's era, even as men. Though, to compare the two would be foolish as one of them is severely underdeveloped. Give it time, then maybe it will be more fair."
"I guess. But the son of Poseidon, what's his name."
Artemis looked at the god. "From what I remember, his name is ..."
~Phobos and Percy~
The young demigod Perseus exited the kitchen of the apartment he shared with his godly patron. He walked over to the living room to see that Deimos, the usual occupant of the couch was nowhere to be seen.
The boy raised a brow, confused, but was caught off guard by a voice to his right.
"He's gone out with Icarus." Said the voice of Phobos as he walked by Percy and sat down on the couch, watching the tv.
Percy only nodded before plopping down on the seat perpendicular to the gods.
The two sat in silent as Perseus ate his cereal (fruity pebbles).
Though they were more or less comfortable with each other, they were not as close, and the only reason they even talked was because of their connection with Deimos.
After a second, Phobos spoke.
"That arm of yours, how's it holding up?" Asked the god, taking his eyes off the tv.
Perseus was a bit caught off guard, but recovered. "I'm pretty used to it by now, but it's a bit odd have to fight with it. It's not as natural." He replied. He had had the prosthetic for almost 2 months now, and was just now getting comfortable.
Phobos grunted. "I hope it's worth it, all the trouble. I won't be surprised if you and my brother end up busy the entire summer." He said.
The demigod nodded, and yet again the living room went silent. After it seemed like they were done talking, Phobos broke the silence for a second time.
"Are you afraid of death, Percy?" He asked, completely out of the blue.
The demigod raised a brow. "Excuse me?"
Phobos repeated himself.
Percy was confused at this point, staring deeply into the gods eyes. He decided to answer the question after thinking.
"I don't know if I'd like to die, but I don't think I'm scared of it." He said finally, with a solemn expression.
The god nodded. "Do you think is because of your father? Perhaps you believe he will save you when your time comes?"
Percy had almost scowled. "Hardly. Even if he could, I doubt he'd care enough. And no, that's not why. It's because there is nothing for me right now.
I only realized this recently, but the only thing I had to live for was my mother, and with her gone..." Percy didn't finish.
He struggled to keep composed as he disliked letting his emotions get the best of him, specially now.
Thankfully, this was enough for Phobos and he didn't push for more answers.
The god sighed. "It's a shame you especially were born into this life. I have no doubt that given a different situation, you'd be a great demigod, destined for great things." He said.
"Though Deimos enjoys having you here, it would probably be best for you to go to Camp Half-Blood, though I'm sure you would hate it there. But if that were to happen, at least you wouldn't have to live in debt for the rest of your life. And maybe, you could even find some others like you to bond with."
The god stood up.
"But sadly, that is not the case, demigod, and you are stuck here. You may be wondering why I'm bringing this all up now, but it's because I've made my decision.
I have decided that your worth the time, Percy, and not just some demigod leech. I wish the best for you, Percy, I really do."
Without another word, the god walked of and left the apartment, leaving Percy alone with his thoughts.
The demigod was confused, but knew one thing for sure. Though at first he believed Phobos disliked him, he was sure that was not the case, at least for now.
He sighed with a slight smile, unnoticeable to even him. He continued to watch tv, leaning heavily on Icarus who had apparently just returned and was now laying on his lap.
Now for the next part of this bonus chapter, I've written more interactions, but this time between all the different Androktasiai. As you know, there siblings, and though it's hard to believe, they still have (arguably) normal conversations.
So here they are ;)
(Quick note.
Just in case this changes anything for y'all, here's the Androktasiai in order from oldest to youngest:
0. Orcus
1. Noir
2. Riyu
3. Phonoi
4. Logus
5. Lethe
6. Dysnomia
7. Hysiminai
8. Neikea
9. Ponos
10. Ate
11. Algea
12. Makhai
13. Limos
Also another side note, this is set no where near Book 2, but it's still "canon".)
~Ate and Riyu~
Riyu walked through the mall while scanning each individual store. He was skeptical.
"Are you sure this is the right place to be?" He asked to the person behind him.
The person, a young girl, maybe 16, responded. "Yes Riyu, I'm sure." She replied patiently. She talked to the boy with plenty of respect, though he appeared to be a couple years younger.
He scoffed. "Fine then, Ate. I'll give this place 1 hour, then I'll be gone." He said gruffly while taking out his wallet. Though she didn't ask, Riyu was prepared to by everything Ate asked for.
The younger goddess smiled lightly before following her brother with delight.
~Makhai, Limos, and Hysiminai~
Three gods were perched on the edge of a roof, looking down into the city below.
"This plan is stupid. This idea, it'll never work." Said the Hyena god Hysiminai to the right.
Limos scoffed.
"Your such a doubter, as long as you follow me, we'll be fine." Replied the goddess. "Right Makhai?"
The charcoal god said nothing, instead only letting out steam from his ears, though this was enough to get a smile out of Limos.
"Exactly!" She said. "You see, Hysiminai?"
The god looked at the two with annoyance. At times like these, he hated being the middle child stuck with the two youngest siblings. Finally he sighed.
"Fine." He said gruffly, and before he could think, the goddess Limos teleported the three away to a very distance place.
She smiled.
"We're here!" She said.
Makhai let off steam and Hysiminai scowled. He absolutely hated this, but Limos continued to drag the the two across the Carnival, taking them to all the different attractions.
~Algea and Dysnomia~
Algea (in the form of a girl around 14 years old) walked forward confidently with her chin held high.
Dysnomia, currently with a body clothed in a dark black suit, followed behind as he struggled to keep up.
The two had just split up from Ate and Riyu, and were currently trying to find something to do in the mall.
Well, Algea was and Dysnomia was just trying to keep the mall safe from her.
"Algea!" He said in her mind." "Slow down!"
The goddess, however, heard none of it. She continued to trudge through the place before she set her eyes on what she was looking for.
The jewelry store.
Oh no, Dysnomia thought.
Without hesitation, the goddess strode into the store and hopped onto the nearest counter, drawing all eyes.
"Ahem, Mortals! As of this moment, everything in this store belongs to me! I expect you all to hurry and collect the goods before noon!" She yelled out.
"Quick with it!"
The store clerk locked eyes with the delusional girl before reaching for his belt. He immediately took out a radio and called for security, closing the doors immediately.
Dysnomia mentally scowled. Why was it him that was forced to deal with Algea and her antics, essentially making him a baby sitter.
The god jumped up onto the counter and slung the small goddess over his shoulder.
"Eh?" She said in confusion.
Without skipping a beat the god waved his hands, effectively erasing the mortals memories before creating a portal to the other side of the steel door.
He walked out with the flailing goddess over his shoulder, complaining like a kid leaving a candy shop.
~Logus, Ponos, and Neikea~
Logus looked at the two gods in front of him as if they were complete idiots. Because they were.
For reference, Logus was preparing to cook food for the entire family, and had recruited Ponos and Neikea to retrieve ingredients from the store.
One of those ingredients was meat, and in all their knowledge the two came back with just that.
But instead of bringing back raw meat from the market, the two had brought a living deer, one who was still moving around while Ponos held it by its ankle.
Logus let out a slow breath while he brought his hand to his face and pinched.
"What is this? He asked finally.
Ponos raised a brow. "Meat." He said. Neikea nodded to his side as if nothing was wrong.
Realizing that the two in front of him were idiots, the god snapped his fingers and made the deer disappear, much to the dismay of Ponos.
"What was that for?"
"It's clear to me you two are idiots." Said the god stepping forward, ignoring Ponos. "So while I go get the rest of the ingredients, you two stay here and try not to-"
Logus was stopped by Neikea putting a hand on his face, pushing him out the way.
"Damn it all." She said triumphantly.
"If the rest of them want food, then they can get it themselves!"
Ponos smiled. "Hurrah to that!" He said.
Neikea smiled.
"Now Ponos, let us go on our way, away from this dysfunctional family!" She said, and the two charged out the room, to cause havoc.
Logus sighed before begrudgingly following the two meatheads to save them from themselves.
~Lethe and Phonoi~
Phonoi leaned back on the corner wall of the room, scanning the scene in front of him. Currently his entire family was arguing with Eris at helm.
He mentally sighed as he was tired of his family antics. It took him a moment to realize that someone had slipped away to his side.
His gaze dropped to see Lethe, completely cloaked, standing by his side.
"Tired of the noise?" He asked in his deep voice.
"As usual." She said. "They argue more then even the Olympians."
Phonoi scoffed. "It's pathetic. They act more like children then gods."
Lethe raised a brow under her cloak. "And you yourself are above such antics?" She asked.
The god almost scoffed. "Of course." He said. He believed himself to be the most mature out of his brethren, and prided himself on that.
Lethe smirked. "Then I suppose you don't care that Makhai said he had beaten you in a fight then?" She asked, instigating.
Phonoi's eyes shot up. "He said what now?" He asked.
Lethe was full blown smiling mischievously under her hood. "Yes, you didn't know? Makhai has been bragging about how he defeated you in battle, easily even."
Phonoi pushed of the wall with his hand on his sheathed blade. He grunted.
"I guess it's time to show these young ones exactly how to act." He said, walking towards the arguing mass of gods.
Lethe smirked, proud of her work.
~Eris Pseudea and Orcus~
Eris turned around to see her two oldest sons looking at her intently. Well currently three, technically.
On the right was Pseudea with his grey skin, white hair, and yellow eyes. He wore no shirt, only a white cloth around his waist, showing off his chiseled body, making him look like a living statue. His expression was more or less blank, but he remained looking at his mother.
Two his left was a man in royal clothing, put off by the large animal skull on his head, one that flowed green in the eye sockets.
Behind this man, was a much larger being, a bulky god with the same kind of animal skull, though his burly face was completely visible.
The gods skin was red and he wore thick animal hide across his body, making him look more like a monster then god.
He stayed quiet, letting his other half, the man in the suit, speak. After all, they were both the same god, Orcus.
Eris looked at her two sons with a solemn look.
"Zeus has won the war against the Titans. He is now the new King of the universe." She said.
Pseudea grunted. "I'm sure the some of the rest will be annoyed by this. I doubt Zeus will give us as much free reign as his father did, assuming he lets us even live."
Orcus to his side nodded. "I'm sure he will be on our case in less then a month, though I hope he does not expect us to give in so easily. I may not be as strong as the king of the gods, but I'll be damned if I let him separate out family." He said with a scowl.
Eris shook her head. "I am not asking you two to start a fight with a Zeus." She said. "Please, for the sake of your younger siblings, do not do that.
If Zeus truly wants to start something with us, then I will see to him myself." She said.
The larger Orcus grunted.
"I know what your thinking." Said the smaller one to his self.
"Mother, I can not let you face that bastard's son alone. I am the god of death. I can handle my problems alone."
Eris raised her brow.
"Do you think I can't handle my problems alone. No, this is not your fight. I shall take care of my responsibilities by myself. End of discussion.
Pseudea sighed and put his head down.
"Fine mother. If you insist on being difficult, then fine. Just know, that whatever happens next, we are here for you."
The goddess smiled. Thankful for her two sons in front of her. Her family.
~Months Later~
Eris stood on the tip of a mountain, gazing at Mount Olympus in the distance, shining in the dark night sky. She felt a single year drip down her face, and caught herself.
Her son, her firstborn, sent away for eternity.
Orcus, the first person she had truly loved, locked away only to be replaced by a new god of death, her brother, Thanatos.
Though it was not his fault, she couldn't help but feel some type of way about the god.
She was seconds away from breaking down when she felt a hand on her shoulder.
She turned around to see Makhai, heat flowing through his body as usual. The young god said nothing, but the fact that he came to her in the rain was enough.
Eris broke out in a cry and wrapped her son in her arms, tears leaking from her face and down to the gods shoulder.
Though he was pretty young and immature as a god, Makhai was undeniably loyal, especially to his mother. The fact that his brother was now gone meant that he had to be here for her more then ever, and now he would do just that.
But not just that, but he had to make sure to get one thing back.
Revenge.
Revenge on the people who did this to his family. He gripped his mother harder as he tried to control his emotions.
This was not over.
And there you have it, a compilation of interactions, written in my free time.
I know it may be weird to see such wholesome moments between the villains, but y'all have to understand that they are still a family, one that just happens to hate Percy, the main character :/.
But for the little bit at the end, I don't really know why I added Makhai. To be honest, at first he was going to be a stoic badass god, but I later decided to make him more of an immature type character, one who is kinda just seeking battle without saying much.
He's young (mentally), and impulsive, which is why I decided I would probably make a mini spin-off series on him.
I know y'all will question this, as I have two other short stories that I haven't even updated yet lol. (Betrayed and Council of Zeus).
But over time I'll get better at updating everything equally, and hopefully that happens soon.
Besides, I already have two other spin-offs of this story specifically ready, so another isn't bad.
Safe to say I have plenty of content ready for y'all, so be ready.
But now we're on to the final part of this chapter, one that I hope y'all enjoy. A interview with our favorite wolf ;)
A Interview With Remleon
Author: Ahem! Hello peoples! Welcome to the first official interview performed by yours truly, me, the author!
Today, I have a very special guest.
Remleon: Eh?
Author: Yes, none other then Remleon, the prince of wolves!
Remleon: What is this?
Author: An interview? Did you no get the gist?
Remleon: Hmm. So your going to be asking me questions?
Author: Now you got it! So let's get get into our first question. Tell us, your full name, "Agreceon Remleon Vollyaire de Lampros." What exactly is the history behind it?
(Note, obviously this isn't "canon", but it still would be Remleon real answer. Though, to be honest, Remleon probably would never agree to this.)
Remleon: Well, it's a bit long, but to save time, Agreceon comes from my father, Remleon from my mother. Vollyaire was added later on in my life by the Olympians as a whole. It was a way to show off their "ownership over me". And Lampross...well Lampros is the name of someone very important. Someone you know a lot about.
Author: Woah there buddy! Watch what you say! The people reading this don't know about him yet, so don't give up too much. *wink*
But onto my next question. You talk a lot about your past, but the people want to know the details exactly.
Remleon: Again, a long story. Are you sure anyone even cares about it?
Author: Mhmm
Remleon: Whatever. But there's not much to say. I spent the earlier years of my life living with my step brother, then I joined the hunt. After that disaster, I was in-prisoned before I was released.
I also spent a couple weeks at a time with my father, but that was more of an accident.
After a couple hundred years or so, I met a demigod, and after a couple of fights he eventually captured me.
I was able to escape a couple of times, but eventually I grew bored and decided to stay. That decision is what led me to the situation I'm currently in, the one your writing.
Author: Quite the story! But this step brother you talk of, who exactly is he? Well, if you people really want to find out, stay tuned for my upcoming series, "The Tales of Remleon"!
A story about Remleon life, as well as current events!
Remleon: Uhhh...ok? Your kinda weird Author."
Author: Maybe, but I have to plug my story somehow. But, moving on,
What are your thoughts on Percy? Do you see him as a friend, or possibly a rival?
Remleon: Well, at a point Percy was technically my boss, in a sense. I don't know if that counts as an answer, but if it doesn't, he'd probably be my quest mate.
Really, that question is better suited for Percy.
Author: I see. I hope to get an interview with him next, though he is quite the antisocial type,
Remleon: For sure.
Author: You say that, but you don't come off as much as a people person yourself. Why is that?
Remleon: I was raised as a wolf, always in battle. I guess I'm just not used to getting along with others, though I like to think I'm pretty good.
Author: You were raised as a wolf, but you are half human to be fair. Please, explain how that was growing up. And while your at it, explain exactly what your powers are because they are pretty confusing.
Remleon: How so?
Author: Well at times your a human, and at other times your a wolf. Not to mention, your able to control which parts of your body transform? Please do explain.
Remleon: Well it's probably be best to explain Lycanthropes as a whole, more specifically the species.
First off, there are 5 different types of Lycanthropes, though there are many different hybrid species. (I'm actually a hybrid species technically.)
The first of these types are the peons, monsters who are half wolf and half Lycan. Mortals sometimes call them for "dire wolves", understandable as they are the most common among the pack.
The next tier is slightly more powerful, wolves with the ability to freely transform from a human to a normal wolf. They are what most demigods come across in the wild.
Though there nothing special, they are far from weak.
Author: Hmmm. I see. Please, continue.
Remleon: Well, the next tier after them are a lot more rare, as well as a lot stronger. There monsters who can transform into what mortals call "werewolves", monsters half man and half wolf.
They're known as deltas, and are typically third in command within a pack.
Even they, however, answer to the betas. Betas are monsters who, like me, can change any part of there body specifically into canine parts. Though there name suggests they are second in command, in most wolf packs, they are the alpha.
Though-
Author: Imma have to stop you right there. Your answer has been thorough, more thorough then I thought, but I must ask. Are you yourself a beta?
Remleon: No. That brings me to my next point.
The alpha. The undisputed strongest wolf among them all. There isn't much of a different between them and a beta, but something definitive makes them stronger by a lot. What that is is still unknown.
Of course, any wolf can be the alpha of their pack, but their will only ever be one true alpha.
As of right now, the current alpha is Lycaon, the fist werewolf.
Authors: So what are you?
Remleon: An alpha.
Author: Wait what?
Remleon: Well, I'm an alpha wolf, but I'm not in a wolf pack. I don't know if I'm stronger then my father, but he still holds the title as the number one wolf
Author *slowly nods*
I think I get it now. It's hard to believe that your that strong while still being half human, really.
Remleon: Mhmm
Author: W-well, our next question comes directly from our audience (not really.)
What exactly is you relationship with Makhai? You two always seem to find each other, but you seemed to have made up in the recent chapter?
Remleon: Well, I don't know if there is anything there. We used to be enemies, but now we're not, though I wouldn't be surprised if he still wants to fight.
Author: I see. It seems that you have a talent for attracting strong enemies. Like what's the deal between you and Deimos. We all know y'all fought back in the woods, so let us know. Who really won?
Remleon: Hmmm. Well, I don't know if I can say who won, but if your asking me who's stronger...
I'd win in a fight.
Author: Wo-Wow! And there you have it. Remleon himself says he would beat the god Deimos in a battle!
Remleon: Well, I'm sure if you were to ask him that question, he'd say that he was stronger. The only way we'll ever know is if we were to ever fight again, and that will never happen.
Author: Oh well, that's a bummer as I'm sure that would've been a fight for the ages.
But, my wolf friend, I have a tough question for you next. Out of these five, rank them from weakest to strongest. Percy, Deimos, Makhai, Eris and Zoe.
Remleon: Well that should be easy.
5. Zoe 4. Makhai 3. Eris 2. Deimos 1. Percy
(Note, Remleon is a very unreliable source as he sees himself as a benchmark for strength. His words are not my own)
Author: You think Percy is stronger then all the other?! Please explain.
Remleon: Well, Percy was able to trap me in his stone, so that automatically puts him above the rest. Plus, Deimos fought me evenly, so I'd put him above the others too.
Makhai is strong, but Eris back in the day was a whole different beast...
Zoe isn't weak, but compared to the others she would lose.
Author: Wow, Remleon, I didn't know you thought so highly of Percy. But, sadly my friend, we are running out of time for this interview, so I must ask one final question.
If PercyJackson from this universe was to fight the original Percy Jackson, who would win?
Remleon: I have no idea what your talking about, but somehow I still have an answer.
First off, I assume your talking about Percy at the end of the final book, and though he is older then my Percy, they have around the same experience as one has been training non stop for a year.
That said, a son of Poseidon on that level is insane.
Though my Percy would put up a great fight, I'd have to say he would lose as of right now. Maybe it'll be a closer fight in the future, once he gets at least stronger then me.
Author: An interesting answer, but I do like it. As I said, we are running out of time so I must end this now. Thank you for your time, and thank you to the readers for reading!
Remleon: And don't forget to leave a review, as that will make me only slightly happy.
And now we're done with the bonus chapter.
It's still relatively short, but I just felt like writing this to flesh out characters. I hope y'all enjoyed, because this took longer then it should have lol.
I know it's been a few days since I uploaded, but that's because I had a lot of work to do, so expect frequent uploads again.
But like usual, peace. ;)
