Chapter Forty
What now?
"What...the **** just happened?" Enix asked as he was being helped to his feet by Steven and Fred.
Bonnie was staring at his hands, his non-existent brows set low. Everyone looked varying mixes between shocked and angry.
"W...we have to go after him." Bonnie suddenly declared, causing everyone to look at him.
"What?" Steven asked, but Bonnie was already heading for the door.
Freddy was the one who stepped in front of him.
"Freddy move. We have to go get Leo! We have to go and get him before that monster does who knows what with him!" The hare tried to move around his comrade, but to no avail.
"Bonnie! We can't go outside and you know that!" Chica tried, but Bonnie still managed to shove Freddy aside and head for the door. But just as he did he froze in place...and turned right back around his face blank.
Once he was away from the doors he blinked back to reality and looked at the doors confused.
"Wait...no...no!" He shouted and tried again...only to turn around...and repeat.
Finally Freddy got in front of him, this time with Foxy's assistance.
"Bonnie, stop." The bear ordered, and Foxy put his paw onto the bunny.
"Lad, ya makin' me dizzy with all this goin' 'round." He voiced and Bonnie took a breath shrugging their paws off.
"We...we can't just leave Leo to him." He said, his paws enclosing into fists.
Freddy placed a paw on his shoulder again, "I know, we won't. We just have to figure out a plan. We can't leave this place, not after our programming was changed." He reminded, and the lagomorph mocked a breath and looked to the side.
"This is bad." At that...everyone slowly nodded.
"Y...yes, yes it's bad, but it's gonna be okay. Alright? The first thing we need to do is-"
"Call Joey." John's voice made them all freeze and they turned to him. Jamie was standing slightly behind him looking anxious.
"You...don't want to call the cops?" Enix asked slowly and John gazed at him before sighing and adjusting his tie.
"And tell them what? The dead murderer has returned and has kidnapped our nightguard?" At that Enix opened and closed his mouth with a breath.
"That's fair. But why Joey?" He asked glancing at the bots, and then he saw why. At the very least Chia needed to be looked at, but the others looked kinda unsteady too.
Maybe the kids taking over did do some damage.
He sighed and glanced at the door before nodding.
"Okay. Let's call Joey."
As Leo opened up his eyes, he found himself in an unfamiliar place.
Now, as a druggie, this wasn't a uncommon occurrence of the man, but it was unsettling each and every time it happened.
Especially when his body and head throbbed and ached like he had been hit by a truck twice over.
But despite this he was on something soft, a bed, he was on a bed in a bedroom.
Glancing around he frowned at the childishness of the entire room.
It looked to be for a boy maybe in his preteens, but not any older.
Strange.
He slowly sat up and immediately regretted it when his entire body throbbed and screamed at him for the action.
"Ugh…****..." he grunted and rubbed his face. Had he taken something? What did he last do-
Oh.
****.
Before he knew what he was doing he was running to one of two doors in the room.
Weird.
He went to the left one in hopes to head downstairs, and went the wrong way down the hall ending up standing in front of a window.
Across from the place he was in was a house, a normal...suburban house.
So...this wasn't a crack den?
Well, at least that was good.
The guard paused and breathed onto his hand and sniffed it before grimacing.
It was bad, but it wasn't drugs.
Good. Now to figure out where he was and what got him here.
Taking a breath he adjusted his tie and headed down the hall.
This was a ridiculously long hallway.
Finally he reached the stairs, and could pick up on the sound of something sizzling.
Bacon.
He remembered Enix making bacon this morning.
...was it even the same day?
He hated this feeling.
Looking around he tried to find something he could use as a weapon.
But there was nothing. Not even a vase.
Besides the bedroom, there was really nothing around, at least not anything in the rooms he had been in.
Granted he had only been in one room.
Leo took a breath and started down the stairs, maybe he could bolt for the door.
As he turned the corner of the stairs, he froze at the sight of Scott in the kitchen...cooking bacon?
What is it with everyone cooking bacon lately?
The animatronic seemed to notice him even before Leo said a word.
"Ah, Leo, I'm glad you're up." He greeted, and the guard could only stare as he stood at the top of the stairs.
"...what." It was the only word that would come out of his mouth. Scott turned and set the spatula down.
"Ah...yes, I perhaps should provide some context for our current situation." He took a hard breath and placed a hand on the counter leaning on it. "I'm afraid things grew...quite perilous at the restaurant. How much do you remember?" He asked, and Leo paused looking to the side as he tried to recall.
"Er...an argument." His brow furrowed only to wince as pain dropped onto him like an anvil. "A fight...I got thrown into a wall…I argued with Bonnie and..." he trailed off, his eyes widening. "...and Bonnie hit me." That was said quietly.
There was a moment or two of silence.
"You were knocked unconscious by Bonnie's blow...and I wish I could say it stopped there. But...he grabbed you and threw you again, then he came charging over like an angry bull. I had only just managed to get there before him...and take you away." Scott sighed looking to the side as Leo fell back onto the stair using it as a seat. "I know you view them as your friends and family...but Leo...what I saw yesterday. It alarmed me greatly. As your friend...I don't want you going back there." He sighed as Leo felt his palms grow sweaty at the memory of Bonnie's eyes turning a crimson red.
He never remembered his doing that…
Had he actually wanted to kill him?
"I...I'm sure there is a explanation." He tried, but even the attempt sounded weak in his ears.
"If there was, wouldn't you think they would've stopped Bonnie? No one did." He paused, "not even Enix."
At that Leo swallowed.
"N...not even Enix." He repeated with a stammer, Scott nodded gravely, and the guard slumped against the stairs.
He knew they disagreed...but c'mon really?
"But..." he trailed before burying his face in his hands, "I want to go back and resolve things but..." he trailed, and Scott moved the ear hanging over his face to the side, only for it to swing back. The bot let out a breath but turned to Leo.
"I would not advise that. Leo, are you sure you want to be in a dynamic where you believe they will harm you if you disagree?" He pressed, and Leo fidgeted with his hands.
"That's a bit extreme right? It was in a moment of anger..." he trailed again, and Scott came over standing at the bottom of the stairs, a hand on each banister post.
"I think you guys all just need some space alright? That's why I brought you here. Let everyone cool down. Words were thrown by each side that could easily anger the other. So, give it a week or two, and then things will go back to normal. I swear."
Leo gazed down at him before looking to the side and scratching at his head.
"Okay. That's probably smart." That was said quietly, and out of the corner of his eye he saw Scott nod.
"Wonderful, now, I've made breakfast, and I also called over Joey and Acid, I think parts of me were dented in that scuffle. They said that they had to stop by the pizzeria first, and then they would come here." Leo nodded as he glanced around the house.
"...Scott...where are we exactly?" He asked, turning to look at him. Scott looked around as well before turning back to Leo.
"Well, my house of course."
Andrew had mixed emotions.
As the animatronics before him explained the situation, he couldn't help but tune them out.
So, father had taken that midget away hm?
Acid had been trying to figure out what his father was planning to do. It was clearly something he had thought about a lot, and was all the more determined to accomplish it then he ever had been about something.
So what was it? What did his father want so badly with that strange guard?
And why couldn't Acid fulfill that role?
With a breath, he turned and looked back at the semi frantic bots. Joey was standing there eating donuts and listening to them. He smirked a bit at her vague interest in the situation. Perfect. The less interested and curious she was, the better it was for him.
"We need to find him! Sc..." Chica trailed, before pausing and looking at everyone. "Wait...if he isn't Scott...then what is his name?" She asked, and everyone frowned looking at each other as if the other bot had the answer. Andrew wanted to laugh.
After all this time, they still didn't know who his father was.
What a masterful stroke of deception.
He couldn't help but stand a bit straighter and smirk slightly, they didn't exactly know who he was either. They didn't even know that he was the one who took out the Puppet!
Honestly, they were kind of oblivious.
"Er...lets just stick with Scott until we know his name." Enix proposed, and the others nodded after a moment.
"Okay, well, we don't know what Scott will do to him! He said he wouldn't kill him but...still..." the chicken trailed rubbing her large hands together.
Acid wanted to yawn and get these bots done already. His father had already called, again he was very glad that he had the phone in his bedroom…
But he had called, and Andrew wanted to get over there and figure out what he heck his father was planning to do with that useless man.
Surely it was something Andrew could do himself.
"Right, but we also gotta make sure you guys aren't completely busted." Joey pointed out, and Andrew took a silent breath before jumping over and leaning over Joey's shoulder.
"After all! We wouldn't want everyone's favorite bots breaking down now would we?!" His voice heightened in pitch and he grinned broadly.
They looked at him hesitantly but he just giggled in return.
"Right...uh, anyways, Joey is right guys. Leo is a tough nut, okay? I'm sure he can hold out for a bit. We need to check over you guys." Enix pressed, and the bots all looked at each other before nodding reluctantly.
Not long later Joey was looking over Freddy first, and Acid was sitting on one of the tables eating his pizza and frosting once more. Things were calm, if not tense. Everyone was looking at each other and looking at the door.
He was pretty sure he saw Foxy look at the hallways once or twice, as if he would see Leo emerge.
Man, these guys were like lost puppies.
Bonnie sat furthest away from the group, strumming his guitar mindlessly, a thousand mile stare in his eyes. Andrew wanted to go over there and tease him endlessly about the whole situation, but he knew that probably wouldn't end well.
His eyes were scanning the room, watching all the animatronics, Enix was over with the toys, and he was putting Chia's beak back on her face and talking to them so softly Andrew couldn't hear.
But it was probably some reassuring ****.
As he went to look at Joey again, his eyes caught on a still bear suit slumped against the wall in a dark corner.
The only way his eyes caught it was the faint blue light eminating from the eyes.
A silent message was in those faint little lights.
I want to talk.
Andrew's eyes narrowed a fraction and he let out a breath before getting up off the table and hopping down, humming something about planes and turtles before heading off into the east hallway.
He went to the parts and service room and looked around, mostly for that pesky Mangle, but then he recalled she had been sitting on the stage watching everyone.
Good.
Going over to the back wall he gazed at the shelf full of the main cast's heads. He looked over everything before he found the Freddy one with a ketchup stain on his cheekbone.
Lifting the head from the jaw he pressed the slightly lifted piece of wood hidden under the head.
Then he stepped back.
The entire shelf system hissed and slowly swung outward toward him. He waited for it to be wide enough and slipped inside. On a restrictive loop, the shelf swung back in place and locked.
He watched as the remaining light from the outside world disappeared and went over to the breaker panel to his left.
Flicking on the lights he stepped over wires and cords, the lights progressively lighting up until finally the ones near the back turned on.
Only to reveal a old and large bear costume strapped to a table, wires snaking inside of it and onto the floor, back to a machine near the entrance.
He smirked wide at the sight.
"Hey there you two! How has life been?" Then he grinned at himself, "oops, wrong choice of words."
Slowly the head lifted, one eye blood red, the other a light blue.
And the red one burned with murderous rage.
A grin split over his face, a broader one then before.
"So, little brother! You said you wanted to talk?" He came over and poked their cheek happily.
A garbled growl came from the animatronic, those empty black eyes staring up at him.
"I'm not sure how you are gonna do that tho, can't exactly speak english can you?" He asked with another giggle.
There was a groan from the restraints as the bear pulled at them.
"You probably wanted to tell me to leave your friends alone huh? That I shouldn't do anything naughty! But I'm afraid to tell you." He leaned in, tilting his head and smirking broadly. "You are too little too late Mikey. I'm going to take out your body, and I'm going to use it for my purposes! Isn't that great? Your other half is so incredibly stupid it's hard to believe I'm even related to either of you."
There was a roar from the bear, but Acid just laughed turning and walking out of the room. "You will never get out of here! Might as well try and get along you two!" And with that, he left.
Leo was sitting at the kitchen bar watching Scott mill about the kitchen getting food ready.
The sight was strange indeed, an undead animatronic bunny was currently making waffles.
And Leo had thought his life before was weird.
"You...don't have to make this much. I don't really eat." He voiced, and the bunny stopped before looking over at him and then at the food.
"Right...force of habit I guess." He turned back to the pan and Leo watched him quietly.
"Do you want me to try and find out what happened to your family?" He asked softly, the animatronic paused before resuming what he was doing.
"No. I know enough." Leo frowned a bit at the response but nodded.
"Okay, well let me know if you change your mind." He offered, and the bot merely nodded his head.
There were a few moments of awkward silence. Before Leo took a breath and scratched the side of his head.
"So what now?" He asked, his eyes lifting to the animatronic.
"Now? Now you eat as much as you can and rest, you took a beating." The he put a plate in front of the guard...or was he even a guard anymore?
He didn't even know.
Leo stared down at the plate and bit his lip, "heh...I don't think I will be able to eat all that." He muttered, before looking up at Scott.
The bot looked down at the food and then back at him.
"Yes perhaps I went overboard. You just..." He trailed off looking at him, before shaking his head. But Leo could guess what he was saying.
"I'm too thin huh? Well. Get in line." He hopped off the stool and went into the kitchen. "I know how to make smoothies. You got a blender?" He asked, turning to look at him.
Scott however shook his head, "No. I mean, you remind me of one of my sons." At that Leo blinked staring at him.
"Oh...uh...thanks." Was that the right response? He wasn't sure.
Scott then paused and looked around a hand on his lower jaw.
"I don't believe I have one..." he trailed, and Leo paused looking around before checking the lower cabinets.
"Ah ha!" He declared and brought up the blender. Then he paused and looked around a moment. "Scott...it's been a bit since you died right?"
"Yes, why do you ask?"
"This place...is really clean for being left alone for a few years." He mumbled, and then looked at the food on the untouched plate. "And...that food is fresh...so…" He trailed looking up at the animatronic. The man paused and shrugged.
"I came here with you, the people opened the door...screamed and then left. I was at least going to offer some kind of deal for the house." At that Leo could only stare.
"They...saw you?"
"Yes, but only for a second. Plus no cops would believe them. So we are fine. And now we have got a nice house." He paused and then looked around, "much nicer then the way I had it back in the day." Leo's brow furrowed and he opened his mouth to ask, but then Scott came in and looked over the blender. "Now, this one has new buttons, you are gonna have to show me what they mean." The guard stared at him a moment before nodding and turning to look at the blender.
"Uh yeah, this one is for the blending."
"How much longer will it be?" Enix asked fidgeting in place. Freddy had been turned off, Acid had come in and taken a look at the bear as well. Helping Joey with some wiring and such. Then Joey said he needed to restart in order to cool his systems down.
Apparently they all did.
They had already done Freddy, Chica, and Bonnie. All that was left was Foxy. Joey was doing her initial checkup and then Acid came over. The fox tensed as he lost sight of the man but Enix was watching him.
No maniacal look in his eyes.
Everything was going well.
"How long are we gonna be shut off Joe?" Foxy asked, doing his best to hold still.
"Shouldn't be long at all!" Acid declared, just as the fox powered down.
The toys were watching from a distance and Enix looked over offering a reassuring smile.
He didn't see Acid slip something into his pocket.
"Well! We best head on out hm? We've already checked the toys, their systems are newer so they don't need as much of a resting period." The man explained, but Enix turned to them with a frown.
"Wait, but can't you help us with finding Leo?" He pressed coming over, the man looked at him and giggled.
"Don't worry! I'm sure he just got lost! He's just gotta tap his heels twice and he'll be back home!" The man declared and Enix could only just stare at him.
Finally Joey turned to them and nodded.
"I don't think I'll be able to stay out for any longer. I'm feeling a bit dizzy." Enix nodded.
"Yeah of course. Get home safe alright?" He offered a smile, and she nodded. Acid grinned before taking her out the door.
Enix took a breath and turned to the others. At this time it would be dinner time, kids would be milling about squealing excitedly as the bots started their evening show.
"Enix. Can I speak with you?" John asked, making the guard look up, he paused before nodding and going over to him.
Once away from the others John took a breath crossing his arms. "Until we can find Leo. I'm going to need to be assigning you a new night guard. Ideally I would just shift Ashford to the night shift. But he said he would die before he would be a night guard again." He explained, and Enix paused brow furrowing.
"Boss...are you talking about someone new?" He asked hesitantly. John took a breath and looked off to the side.
"Enix. Listen. The fact of the matter is, there are at the very least nine animatronics for you to watch over. That is too much for one person. So there needs to be someone else here to just to make sure everything is okay." The manager turned and looked at the animatronics who were not so subtly watching them. John waved sheepishly before turning back to Enix. "We need another guard." He concluded and Enix took a breath.
"I don't think someone new is a good idea. What if I try to convince Ashford?" He tried, and John looked at the animatronics before back at him and taking a breath.
"Okay. Fine. You have today, tomorrow if he isn't the night guard. I'm hiring someone else."
With that, he left. Enix took a deep breath as he watched the red pickup truck pull into the empty parking lot.
Weird.
He already missed Leo.
Andrew stared up at the house before him and took a breath. This had been his home for more then four years now. And now after all this time his father was back.
But it wasn't in the way that he had hoped.
With a breath, he climbed up the stairs and got to the door. Moving to open it he glanced back at the car where Joey was, passed out. Good. He didn't need her for this anyways. She did what she was needed for.
Stepping inside the house he looked around and spotted his father in the kitchen, and in front of him was Leo.
They were over a blender as something mixed within it.
Acid couldn't help but stare quietly.
His father had a hand on that stupid guard's shoulder and Leo was showing him how the blender worked.
How Andrew's blender worked.
His hands twitched before he curled them into fists and took a deep breath.
Now, he had to do what he needed to do, and then he would check over his father pretending he was examining him.
Heading into the living room, he went to the bookshelf and pulled a book out slightly.
The shelf came out and then slid to the side revealing a doorway. He went inside and went over to the wall lined with large boxes.
There was a single window in each box revealing what was inside. He smirked and stroked the two closest to him.
The room he was in was a long hallway, it was dark and there were four boxes that lined it. There was one other, but it was further down the hallway. The man smirked and gazed up at the two boxes before him, he rubbed away the fog and stroked the glass with a chuckle.
"My my, you guys are looking so good..." he then kissed the one right in front of him, "I'm so very happy! Do daddy proud!" He said, and then pressed a button causing the two doors before him to slide open, With a giggle he gazed up at them and sighed.
He called them nightmares, and he sure hoped that they would kill the guard for him.
His eyes flickered down to the bag in hand, he opened it up and smiled at the for chips with respectively blinking lights within.
This was going to be so much fun.
So, quite a bit happened huh?
Things are only going to get more intense from here, I have been waiting for this for so long! And yes...there are going to be some things about the nightmare sequence that are different from the known lore, my friend and I have worked out this plan and adjusted things so it can best flow with the story!
What did you think of Bonnie? And what of his relationship with Leo? do you think they will be able to make up? What of how things will go without him? And William, he has finally told everyone but Leo, do you think he will eventually tell him? Or do you think someone else will? What do you think of him taking Leo to his house? Or even Acid owning that house? What of Golden Freddy? Here is why he hasn't been in much before, Acid has purposefully kept him away. Also...for clarification.
- Michael is split into two different forms in this fic. There is Michael, who is in the G.F suit, and then Michael who is in the sister location. This is for a reason, and it will be explained later on. There are TWO versions of Michael. I'm sorry if it is confusing.
- And just for clarification. The Afton family tree is this...
William = Father = Springtrap
(Name) = Mother = (something that will be talked about later on, more stuff on her will be in the sister location fic!)
Andrew = Eldest son = Acid
Elizabeth = Middle Daughter = Circus Baby
Michael = Youngest son = 1/2 in Golden Freddy with Cassidy, 1/2 is the version of him in the sister location fic.
I hope this provides some clarity!
