Presidential Room

"Which means what?" Rebekah questioned, standing up.

Scott did the opposite of what she did and took a seat, not knowing what to say.

"I-You-We..." He tried to form an answer but he couldn't, and realized that he needed some time to process everything, so he stood up, restless. "Take a shower, get dressed and feed on one of those flasks. I need to think."

With that, he moved to remove his bathrobe so that he could shift into a wolf and go for a run to clear his mind, but Rebekah was having none of it. Having left Klaus so that she could do as she pleases, she wasn't interested in being ordered around.

"Don't tell me what to do. I'm not going anywhere until you tell me what's going on." Rebekah said, and turned to Lydia. "Now, tell me what the bloody hell is going on! What does Nik and I being siblings mean and why did you look at Scott and me like that, Lydia?"

"You should really listen to Scott, Rebekah." Lydia responded. "You're in for a shock, and trust me; it's not something you want to hear on an empty stomach without taking a shower and getting dressed."

"Talking about a shower." Cora began, thinking about heading to her bedroom before the Royal Guard returns. "MPGs and SPGs aren't in the suite, so I'll see you after I've had my own shower."

"Same here." Lydia second, and began to leave the room with Cora, but not before she patting Scott on the shoulder in support.

She knew that a lot had to be going through his mind at the moment as knowing that you had a relative you didn't know about and meeting said relative, especially with their circumstances, couldn't be easy to process.

"I'll get you some clothes from your room." Malia told Rebekah, before turning her attention to Scott. "Instead of shifting in the middle of the town in brought daylight with a lot on your mind, maybe you should call Deaton.

No, actually, call Marin. She's better equipped for this. I'll check on the Guard while I get Rebekah's clothes and then take everyone downstairs for lunch so you two can talk. I'll have your food sent up here."

"Thanks, Malia." Scott thanked her, heeding her advice.

"My suite key card is on the nightstand." Rebekah informed Malia, deciding to follow what was suggested as Scott did answer her question of what he was without a problem.

Malia acknowledged her and moved to leave but something suddenly occurred to her.

"Yesterday, you said that Tara is helping you with something." She said, addressing Rebekah. "What is she helping you with?"

"Why?" Rebekah asked.

"If she's helping you look for something, you might not have to look for it." Malia replied, thinking about how she looked for her younger sister's doll to return it where it was supposed to be after Scott and Stiles took it.

"Tara is helping me find my necklace." Rebekah responded, finding Malia's reply too specific in that she was looking for something.

"Silver necklace with a garnet embedded in it?" Scott inquired, although by now, he knew he didn't need to.

"How do you know that?" Rebekah's question was all the confirmation they needed, and with it, Malia exited the balcony, leaving aunt and nephew together.

"Believe me, its best I tell you when we're dressed and proper." Scott replied. "You'll find me in the conference room when you're done."

With that, Scott took one of his flasks and left the balcony to get dressed, leaving Rebekah wondering still, before heading for the bathroom to shower, surprising herself by not acting out.

But then again, with the night she had, she wasn't that surprised. Three girls and one boy could do wonders to a person.

Beacon Hills

"You know, you never told me how New Orleans was." Valerie said to Jordan, who was riding shotgun, while they patrolled around Beacon Hills High School.

"You never asked." Jordan replied.

"I'm asking, then. How was New Orleans? And don't tell me about the case you were working on, I'm the one who filed it."

"It was OK."

"Just OK?" Valerie asked, looking for details.

"I guess. Work sent me there, so I didn't really get the chance to explore." Jordan responded, right before his phone vibrated with an incoming call and after checking the caller ID, he excused himself before answering. "Miss Eve."

"Good afternoon, Prince Parrish." Eve returned the greeting.

"Parrish is just fine."

"So is Eve." Even returned, having purposefully addressed him by his title to return the favor. "Um, about your request, Beacon County currently holds the deed to Oak Creek."

"Can you acquire it for me?"

"For what purpose?"

"I'm at work, right now." Jordan replied. "Could I call you later?"

"Alright, later."

"It looks like nothing is out of the ordinary." Valerie said, after the call ended referring to their patrol, relieved. "Thankfully."

"Thankfully." Jordan concurred.

The Bayou

"What's your question, Yin?" Marin asked Yin, a teenage member of New Beacon Pack who was one of the teenagers who activated their werewolf genes via the ritual to make Scott Alpha of New Beacon Pack and was currently receiving lessons in Werewolf 101 in the open though under cover.

"What's the difference between druids and witches?" Yin inquired, and she wasn't the only one who was curious about that.

"What's the difference between werejaguars and werewolves?" Marin asked a question of her own. "And what are their similarities? Answers to these questions will guide you to the answer of your question."

"Werejaguars are feline shapeshifters while werewolves are canine, lupine to be specific." A student answered. "A similarity between them is that they are both shapeshifters."

"Compare that to druids and witches." Marin instructed.

"We know very little about druids to compare them, Miss Morrell." Another student said.

"Little is better than nothing."

"Druids practice druidcraft and witches witchcraft." Yin stated, even though she wasn't well informed about druidcraft. "Druidcraft and witchcraft are different but they are both magic, thus making druids and witches mages like werejaguars and werewolves are shapeshifters, just different."

"There you have your answer." Marin said, a moment before her phone rang from her makeshift desk and she checked it before addressing her informal students. "Take five everyone."

"I thought you would be enjoying your vacation instead of interrupting my lessons." Marin said in greeting after answering the call, while her informal students conversed amongst themselves.

"I think I enjoyed it too much." Scott replied, not sounding as light as he did yesterday. "And now I desperately need your counsel."

"Give me a minute." Marin responded, and then turned her attention to her students. "On second thought, we're done for the day. You can go to your physical lesson early."

None of the teenagers needed to be told twice as before Marin turned towards Crescent Wolf Pack's cabin, a few werewolves were already standing up from their logs.

"What do you need my counsel on?" Marin asked once she settled down in the cabin.

"I, uh..." Scott uncomfortably tried to answer. "We-I..."

"Scott."

"You remember that Klaus has siblings, right?" Scott began.

"Yes. And they're all in coffins..."

"Except one; Rebekah." Scott completed, wishing he had called Alan but knew that Malia was right. "We met her yesterday."

"I thought you were taking your time to reach Mystic Falls and Rebekah left town after she killed Elena."

"We are..." Scott answered, but trailing off as Elena's name registered and he remembered that Tyler said Rebekah killed Elena in retaliation for Stefan lying to her and Klaus.

"Scott?" Marin called Scott when a moment went by and he was silent.

"We are taking our time and you're right, Rebekah did leave Mystic Falls." Scott concurred. "The thing is, I felt the presence of a witch searching for my necklace two days ago and decided to wait and set a trap for her.

We met Rebekah and her witch friend Tara yesterday morning and she invited Lydia to go shopping with them after we had breakfast. They had a great time and so Rebekah and Tara tagged along when we went clubbing last night.

Uh, we all had a great time at the club and one thing led to another and, um, (Scott cleared his throat) we had a great time."

"You already said that you had a great time, Scott."

"Right." Scott said, and took a deep breath before just coming out and saying it. "We slept together."

"What?"

"We slept together. Rebekah, AKA Klaus' sister, AKA my biological paternal aunt, and I slept together. Lydia just put the pieces together from something Rebekah said during their shopping spree and Rebekah calling Klaus Nik a few minutes ago after saying that she killed one of Klaus' hybrids."

"I thought you and Malia..."

"We are."

Beat.

"You mean...?" Marin asked.

"Yes." Scott answered. "And right now, Rebekah knows something is up and is waiting for answers."

"I see." Marin responded, before she took measure of what she was given and then gave her take and counsel.

In the end, Scott asked Marin to arrange an emergency Beacon Council meeting and to call him when everyone was present; all Betas and Gammas.

Rebekah and Tara's Suite

Afternoon found Oba (MPG1), Mira (MPG2), Juan (MPG3), Luna (MPG4), Hinata (SPG1), Charl'z (SPG2), Ayanda (SPG3), Sky (SPG4) and Tara streaming a television series in the television room.

After Cora, Lydia, Malia, Rebekah and Scott left That Nice Club, the Royal Guard and Tara stayed for a while and enjoyed themselves before Ayanda and Tara decided to leave, with Tara inviting the others to sleep in the extra bedrooms of the suite.

They declined since they had other plans, getting lucky themselves and that's exactly what happened. They all reunited in the morning at Rebekah and Tara's suite, and since then, they have been watching the television series episode after episode.

However, just as a new episode was streaming, they heard the suite door open and a few moments later, Malia came into view and she was alone, to everyone's surprise.

"Great, you're here." Malia said in greeting, glad that she didn't have to go searching for everyone.

TRANSITION

Presidential Suite

A few minutes later, Malia returned to the pack's suite with Rebekah's clothes and left them on the bed in the presidential room while the Royal Guard went to their rooms for quick showers and change of clothes before rejoining Tara.

Once done with their own showers, Cora and Lydia left the suite with Malia, heading to the hotel restaurant just as Rebekah got out of the shower in the presidential room, still wondering what Scott had to tell her as she put on the clothes Malia left for her.

Dressed and ready to hear what Scott had to say, Rebekah listened for Scott's heartbeat so that she could locate him. Being that she took her time showering, having been trying to figure out what Scott had to say and nervous because of how serious everyone was about it, she only found one heartbeat, the others having left already, and followed it.

Before long, Rebekah stood outside the closed doors of the conference room and knocked.

"Come in." Scott granted access, and Rebekah entered to find him sitting at the head of the table facing the entrance.

"I want answers." She said, sitting opposite to him.

"I will give them to you." Scott replied. "But for you to understand them, you need to answer my questions. Is Klaus a vampire or a werewolf?"

"You know he's a vampire-werewolf hybrid." Rebekah responded, feeling like Scott was stalling.

"Which means he's neither vampire nor werewolf but a vampire and a werewolf at the same time, right?"

"Obviously."

"So, some rules that apply to vampires and werewolves don't apply to him, right? Like being vulnerable to sunlight and being forced to shift by full moons."

"Yes. What does that have to do with anything, Scott?" Rebekah answered and then questioned.

"Everything." Scott replied, taking a deep breath, for he didn't know if telling Rebekah what he was, who he was, was a good idea, but he would be lying if he said that a part of him didn't want to know his biological paternal family.

In any case, Marin helped him with her counsel, presenting the advantages and disadvantages of revealing and not revealing who he is and giving Rebekah partial truth.

Aside from that, Scott took into consideration Malia and Peter finding out they were daughter and father and Lydia and Tyler finding out they were cousins, because of him, and seeing that Klaus and Rebekah weren't on good terms and having Rebekah on his side was better than not...

"Everything." Scott repeated. "Klaus is able to do things that original vampires, non-original vampires and werewolves can't do.

He can sustain a werewolf bite without succumbing to it, expose himself to sunlight without a Sun protection ring and not get burned, turn werewolves into vampire-werewolf hybrids, shift whenever he wants to, make babies and not shift during full moons.

His original vampire-werewolf hybrid status grants him a lot of leeway when it comes to natural and supernatural rules that neither vampires nor werewolves have and..."

"Get to the point, Scott!" Rebekah interrupted, tired of Scott's stalling.

That is until something registered that was not supposed to be on the list of abilities Klaus had due to being an original vampire-werewolf hybrid.

"Klaus can't make babies." Rebekah stated. "Vampires can't procreate."

Scott heard the untold truth in Rebekah's voice when she added the last part; she wished what she said wasn't the truth, but sadly for her, it was, though not the first part.

"We already established that Klaus isn't a vampire or a werewolf, Rebekah." Scott reminded Rebekah. "He's an original vampire-werewolf hybrid and his werewolf part of the hybrid package comes with the ability to reproduce."

"Alright. Let's say you're right, why hasn't any of Nik's lovers become pregnant in the hundreds of years he has lived? And don't say maybe some did and told him and he didn't say a thing about it to me because I've been with Niklaus the longest and I've known most of his long time lovers even when he tried to hide them."

"That's not what I'm going to say." Scott replied. "The answer to your question is simple; the curse placed on him suppressed his werewolf side and took away most of his werewolf traits, one of them being the ability to reproduce.

Now that the curse has been removed, he can reproduce again."

Rebekah went silent to process what was said, and it did make sense on some level although they didn't have evidence to support what Scott said.

Still, it was a possibility Rebekah knew Elijah would be over the moon about for Klaus, because it could give Klaus the chance to 'redeem' himself.

But just as Rebekah knew that she would be envious of Klaus if it's true, she also knew Elijah would be envious as well, although he would be a bit more graceful about it than her.

For not only did Esther make them monsters, she also took away something important from them in her quest to protect them, the ability to start families of their own; hence they were stuck in a destructive circle where the Mikaelsons all tried to destroy each other every now and then.

And Klaus repeatedly daggered whoever disappointed him and put them in boxes for timeout. Rebekah didn't know why she once thought that he wouldn't do the same thing to her.

"What does this have to do with my necklace and how Lydia looked between us?" Rebekah asked after some time.

"A while ago, someone told me a story about a special vampire visiting a town nineteen years ago to seek a witch coven leader's aid but she turned him down." Scott began, thinking back to the time Deucalion told him the story. "He decided to retaliate by turning the witch's son into a vampire.

Afterwards, he compelled the witch's son to kill himself by sun exposure, right before her eyes. The witch watched her son die and she vowed to make the vampire pay and she had her coven's support. But the vampire didn't have many weaknesses they could exploit, so they decided to give him one.

Since he used her child against her, the witch and her coven planned to return the favor by cursing him with a onetime fertility and procreation curse, and because he was special, nature allowed the curse to take effect and it just so happened that he slept with a woman before leaving the town.

The witch and her coven made sure to keep an eye on him so they found out and kept an eye on the woman. Nine months later, the woman gave birth to the child the witch and her coven hoped for and brought into being without her knowledge or the father's. Let me finish, Rebekah. Please.

The pregnancy was full of problems and so the coven sent one of their own who was a doctor to help with the child's birth and afterwards, link the child's abilities to his werewolf gene, inherited from his special vampire father."

"You don't mean...?" Rebekah tried to ask; unable to contain the questions that have being building up, but Scott raised his palm out towards her.

"Silencio." Scott cast the quick silencing spell, closing his palm and Rebekah's mouth against her will, shocking her if her wide opened eyes said anything. "I had to listen to this story all in one go and I did. Please give me the chance to finish it and then you can ask questions."

Rebekah nodded her head, too shocked to do anything else even as Scott released the spell and recomposed himself.

"Where was I?" Scott asked himself before he recalled and continued. "Oh, right.

Uh, the new mother named her son after the doctor that helped safely deliver him, not knowing that the doctor was a witch and that her coven planned to push her son into their hands once he reached his eighteenth birthday so that they could manipulate and guide him on the path they brought him into being for.

But plans rarely go exactly as planned; two years before the boy's eighteenth birthday, he was bit by an evolved alpha werewolf and turned and after sixteen years of a normal human life, he was brought into the supernatural world.

That didn't affect the vengeful mother, her coven and her plans because although the boy turned into an evolved werewolf, he didn't kill, and so his true nature remained dormant.

Unfortunately for them, the coven was killed by assassins hired to wipe out the town's supernatural community."

Rebekah didn't feel bad for the coven but she was surprised by the genocide attempt.

"The boy and his pack were able to stop the assassins by shutting down their contracts, saving the town's remaining supernatural community before it could be wiped out." Scott continued with pride in his voice. "But he activated his werewolf gene during his senior year in high school.

In turn, the boy found out who he truly was, what he was from the beginning; a vampire-werewolf-witch tribrid. Born and not created by the Dread Doctors like he first thought."

"That boy is you, isn't it?" Rebekah asked slowly although her mind was speeding.

"Yes."

"So you lied to me." Rebekah decidedly narrowed her focus on that part, instead of the whole story, having a hard time processing it.

"No." Scott replied calmly. "I told you that I'm a chimera, a being made up of incongruous parts, because I am. I am a vampire, a werewolf and a witch tribrid. And like I said, before the Dread Doctors arrived in my town, I was a werewolf. An evolved werewolf.

I activated my traditional werewolf gene after the Beast killed the Dread Doctors by killing the Beast and found out that I was never a human from an alpha who learned the story of how I came to be from an informant he had in the coven and decided to recruit me into his Alpha Pack a while ago."

"Alpha Pack?" Rebekah questioned skeptically.

"Yes." Scott responded. "Back then, he was obsessed with power and creating the 'perfect' pack with unique evolved alpha werewolves and he wanted the rarest of alphas to join his pack, a true alpha.

I briefly joined his pack to save my mother and my friends' parents while I was showing the potential to become a true alpha but after he saw me break a mountain ash circle barrier and ascend to alphahood, he saw my power and backed off and we let him go with a condition.

Telling me the story was one of his ways of repaying me after I called in the debt he owed Derek and me for letting him go instead of just killing him. He told me how Klaus came to be and that I inherited more than just the werewolf gene from Klaus, hence I'm also a witch

I can show you that everything I have told you is true."

"Then where is my necklace?" Rebekah ignored Scott's last words and questioned. "I didn't see it around your neck last night."

And just like that, her eyes widened in realization of what Lydia meant and why Scott advised her to take a shower and change clothes before he could explain. If what Scott has said was true, and everything said it was even though Rebekah was having a hard time processing, then...

"Bloody hell!" Rebekah exclaimed, standing up and then sitting down again before whispering to herself. "I slept with my nephew."

Saying that out loud made everything real and unfortunately, she couldn't help but vocalize her thoughts.

"Nik has a child." Rebekah said. "A bloody son! Who is my nephew. I have a nephew. A grown bloody nephew that I like! And slept with."

"I bet you're glad you listened." Scott commented, sinking into his chair.

His comment served as a trigger for Rebekah to explode, fed-up with how her love life was a disaster. She knew that Malia and Scott were dating and obviously loved each other, she was OK with that.

Rebekah was also OK with just having great sex with him and not having him to herself because she actually did admire and respect that he loved Malia and Malia loved him back, they had what she has been chasing for hundreds of years and she didn't want to ruin it.

Yes, she liked Scott and would have loved to see if he was her long awaited Mister Right, but he loved another and didn't lie about it.

When she slept after the fivesome, Rebekah knew that although she wouldn't have the boy, she would have the memory of a great night to remember him by, but that memory was just ruined by the fact that he was her nephew.

It was like she couldn't have a single great thing, even a sex memory, without it lasting and being ruined.

"Why the bloody hell does this keep happening to ME?!" Rebekah screamed, standing up, and sending her chair flying back.

Scott saw a teary temper tantrum coming from Rebekah, and considering the last time she had one she killed Elena, and her hand was currently heading for the closest chair to her...

"Hey, Rebekah." He called out to her, standing up from his chair.

"Shouldn't you call me auntie Bex?" Rebekah asked with teary eyes, a little hysteric, looking at Scott, who began to approach her, but with each step he took towards her, she took one backing away from him. "I'm your aunt, after all."

"Until today, I had no aunt to speak of." Scott responded, continuing his approach. "And honestly, I planned to keep the truth secret even from my best friends."

"So why didn't you?" Rebekah questioned, still backing away. "You would have spared us all this."

"I know. But I had to."

"You could have not told me."

"That did cross my mind."

"I hate you for telling me." Rebekah stated once her back hit the closed conference room door, because after lifetimes of bad romantic and sexual relationship endings, this one was somehow worse.

That caused Scott to come to a sudden halt, Rebekah's words like Theo's clawed hand piercing his metaphorical heart.

"I told you against my better judgment because a part of me wants to know my biological paternal family!" Scott said, finding it hard to swallow, his throat dry. "But if this is how you feel, I can erase this entire conversation from your memory and pretend it never happened.

And I'll replace it with something you care about."

As he said the last part, he took out the necklace that has been his secondary talisman and Rebekah was searching for and held it in his hand for a moment to feel it's now familiar magic before he extended the hand holding it and telepathically levitated it and then delivered it to Rebekah, having asked Raven1 to bring it over.

As much as Scott tried to pretend Rebekah's words didn't affect him, he failed miserably. She heard the pain in his voice and saw it in his expression and body language and regretted them, realizing that Scott wasn't a part of the Mikaelson family's hundreds of years of destructive history.

He didn't have the tolerance for typical Mikaelson drama they all developed over the centuries, nor did he have a reason to, especially after what she said but Rebekah didn't hate Scott.

Sure she hated and loved all her siblings due to the things they've done to each other and for each other but Scott, Scott had a clean slate. All he wanted was to reveal his existence to a member of the family and get to know her but her reaction was understandably not the best.

Rebekah just didn't want Scott to believe she hated him, she didn't. But for the time being, her attention turned towards the necklace floating before her.

"Stefan gave it to Elena and Elena gave it to me after it reacted to me when I was in Mystic Falls during a school trip there a couple of months ago." Scott answered the unasked question. "It has been my talisman ever since but it's yours."

"My mother gave it to me." Rebekah said, grabbing it from the air and felt its familiar warmth, emotional as she reunited with her link to Esther.

"I know. I met her."

"What?" Rebekah questioned, her attention fully focusing on Scott.

"That necklace was more than a talisman; it was Esther's link to this world." Scott replied. "A hellhound sensed it and summoned her spirit to my mind/soul scape and broke the link when it learned Esther could use it to possess my body.

I didn't get the chance to speak with her before the link was broken but she recognized me when she first appeared and said that I look like Ansel, Klaus' biological father that Mikael killed."

"You know about Mikael?" Rebekah asked, becoming cautious.

"Yes. And I'd rather keep it at knowing about him than know him." Scott responded truthfully, to calm Rebekah. "You have your necklace now, so you can stop looking for it and I can erase your memory of this conversation and you can only know me as you have until before I told you who I am.

I can leave our conversation at revealing that Klaus can reproduce, so you can warn him, and replace the rest with me giving you your necklace back."

"I can't be compelled, Scott." Rebekah said.

"I..."

"And I don't wish to have my memories erased." She added. "And I don't hate you. I'm sorry for saying that I hate you. I just... (Rebekah sank to the floor) This is a lot to take. Just a day ago, I met a boy I liked at first sight and watched him eat breakfast with his friends and girlfriend.

And then I went shopping with one of his friends and had a great time and for a moment, life was normal. We went clubbing later and for the first time in a long time, I really felt free and fully enjoyed myself without a care in the world.

I danced with girls I wish I could call my friends, and before I knew it, I was dancing with the boy I like and the atmosphere was just great and I couldn't help but kiss him and he returned the kiss and it was amazing and felt so right.

But reality reminded me that he wasn't mine when he pulled back because he remembered that he had a girlfriend and she was right there. I thought that was the end but his girlfriend demanded that we kiss again and we did before she demanded I kiss her too.

Before long, reality faded away again and no one and nothing was forbidden. The night ended on a high note with my very first and only fivesome with three girls whose company I enjoyed and the boy I liked since I met him that morning.

When I woke up and heard him having sex in the shower with his girlfriend, I wished I was the one in her place but I got more than I hoped for since I learned they were dating and I admired and respected what they had, so I settled on appreciating my time with him and remembering him by it.

But it turns out that boy is my nephew. A nephew I had no idea about or that he was even a possibility, in the first place. I don't hate you, Scott. I just hate that this keeps happening to me. I foolishly fall in love, enjoy it for a little time and just when I let my guard down, everything falls apart.

Nik and the others always have this excuse of how everyone I like isn't good enough for me to justify killing, manipulating and taking them away from me. But maybe I'm the one who isn't good enough for them. Maybe I don't deserve to be loved and happy."

Scott felt that, he understood Rebekah. The doubts she had. He had his own doubts during his relationship with Allison and felt that he didn't deserve her, that she was too good to be his girlfriend, too amazing to love him and totally out of his league.

But Scott knew that he couldn't begin to truly understand what she's been through to get her to this stage where she thought that she wasn't good enough, that she didn't deserve to be loved and happy.

But he couldn't watch her break down and cry and do nothing about it, so he approached and joined her on the floor, sitting beside her.
