Chapter 10: Shatter Me
5 july 2058
Arendelle
Star Formation chamber
Arendelle Castle
5 PM
Xeir stepped from the portal. The door reset itself to the Arendelle castle hallway behind her. Soundlessly she watched, and was briefly, ever so briefly, taken by awe at the sight of the Formation, newly repaired, before her. This was not something she was used to seeing.
She saw the High Priest, it was her first real time seeing him face to face. There was no real notice of recognition between them however as Xeir was behind him, his body focused on other things, like controlling the Formation.
The balcony to observe the Formation was huge. Easily the size of a regulation basketball court in some schools. Xeir walked the bridge soundlessly. Kiyori never knew she was there. Not until he spoke.
"It is beautiful, isnt it ?" He asked her. Not hearing anyone else in the Formation chamber with him. He had no idea she was really there to begin with. So to him, he was asking, nobody.
"It is, but I have seen the stars before. Both on great ships, and without" Xeir replied to him, he turned to her as she spoke, there was fire in his eyes when he first heard her voice, and then that fire turned to venom upon sight of her.
He had to wonder what she meant however. "On great ships, the stars in the sky, visible at night ?" He asked her
She shook her head. "Great vessels, with and without ships. When you are able to fly upon your own power, you will see it too" She said to him.
"That does not matter! What matters is, I now control the fate of the free world! There is nothing you can do to stop me!" the High Priest said sternly. He knew this would become a battle to the death, only one of them would walk away alive. Or at least very badly wounded.
"You may control but one constellation. But you do not conrtol my fate." Xeir said simply, only to make Kiyori more angered at her words. "My fate, is my own business. But your fate, at this moment, it is my business" She stepped into view and in the firelight and starlight, he could see clearly, she was not a human woman.
Kiyori laughed at her, long and hard. "Do you even hear yourself ?" He thundered at her as he stalked closer. "Compared to me, you are but a child by the power I possess in the Formation surrounding us!"
Xeir only smiled at him. And disappeared. Reappearing scant seconds later upon the balcony. Him between her and the portal to freedom. "This Formation was created with a weakness for a reason, so not any one person could control the outcome of a worlds fate." She said to him, like a teacher or a mother informing a child of how to act, trying to guide a stubborn child too.
Kiyori just snarled at her, a leaf forming in his fingers. "You understand nothing of this! I made the trade, I worked to get the information to learn how to control it, I am the King!" Kiyori said to her.
In the following silence that assaulted Xeirs ears, she simply watched the High Priest carefully. "No" She finally said "You are not the king. You never were, you are like what you told the Wolfe. You are an Outlander. Not a native of Arendelle. I remember you now. Kiyori" Xeir said to him.
He stared at her, she called him by his name ? "How do you know me ?" He asked her, when she did not answer, he thundered at her. "Answer me or I will cast you into my models in pieces!"
Xeir smiled and started to laugh at his threat. "I would like to see you try!" She said to him. A flick of the wrist and scales formed on her body. Scales of untarnshed silver danced upon her skin. And her horns formed from some of her hair.
Kiyori then recognised her. "The woman who has been freeing my modeled prisoners. I should have known!" He threw the leaf, raw power behind it, Xeir raised her hand, their magic connected with each other. Raw energy met her own powerful magic.
And yet. Unlike Mark, she was not harmed by the transportation leaf. Instead, she ravaged it, and reversed its effect. Transforming the models into harmless toys and designs, as those imprisoned upon them were set free. Xeirs magic countered the High Priests own.
"Who are you ?!" Kiyori thundered as his magic backlashed and he was thrown to the bridge as Xeir countered everything thrown at her with ease.
She smiled. "I do not believe you have the ability weithin your mortal mind to grasp who I am, let alone, what I am, and what I stand for." She said to him. "Compared to you, in your own words. I am older then you think, with more knowledge and experience than a full grown adult in this earth."
Kiyori got to his feet. "You ruined my models, and for what ? Releasing prisoners rightly imprisoned for crimes against the kingdom!" He screamed at her.
"That is where you are wrong, old fool. They were prisoners, because you felt like making up crimes in order to arrest them. Two of them alone were my own servantae!" Xeir thundered, her voice echoed in the chamber. Kiyori took a half step back. Xeir looked at him with calm eyes, almost bored.
"You destroyed my models, you fought my soldiers! You are a criminal, you will die a criminals death! You are honorless!" Kiyori said to her., but that only made Xeir start to laugh.
"Honorless ? Criminal ? Me ?" She repeated. She laughed again and shook her head. "What is honor execept to gain prestige with those of high noblese ? What is a criminal execept to gain prestige in the underworld ?" She said to him
"Do not twist my words, woman!" The High Priest said to her, he drew another leaf and threw another lance of magic at her, Xeir caught it and threw it aside. "You are a criminal, a traitor to the kingdom, and who knows what else! For this, you die, here, now!" He threw another leaf of magic at her
Xeir easily caught the magic and let it dance harmlesly on her fingers before easily casting it aside. "It is you who is twisting your own words." She said to him.
"If you will not be modeled, you will be destroyed!" He lifted a hand, and she saw it coming. Just like Kaldakava's own strength of Gravity control, this man had a much more refined version. Time control. Moving fast she cast her own magic, a light bubble, smashing into the time bubble and causing it to explode between them. Causing time outside the bubble to stop, and the two of them within it to continue their conversation.
"You really are an idiot arent you ?" Xeir asked him, as he looked, shocked at what he was seeing, Kiyori had never seen a time bubble be dispersed or even expanded on. "My Light Magic, against your Star Magic, is still bounds beyond your abilities. The time bubble collapsed, but the light bubble did not.
"Who are you ?" Kiyori thundered at Xeir
"When she went on her trip she left a council in charge, you were to help the Council's leader, a man named Xercine. You were not to interfere in anything other then to render adivice." Xeir told him. "And then you forgot about her, you forgot about the Wolfe, instead, you always thought about gaining more power, more control. You were not influenced by money, but the lust for magical control, to control fate."
She looked at him "The Star Formation is that goal for you, isnt it ? Control the Formation, control fate, control time. Control life" She smirked, "But you cannot control what you cannot see past."
"What do you mean ?" Kiyori asked her in retort. He knew then who she meant. "The old Queen took risks, the kingdom was weak, Xercine was a fool and declared the search for an Heir." He said
"The Nothing you refer to, the one whom you knew and even crowned as queen, Elsa of Arendelle. Was never meant to exsist. And yet, she did. And now, she does not. You forgot her, just like everyone else. And what did you do ? Instead of ruling the kingdom as an advisor to the Council, you began to take up power, making the council a laughing stock, turning those the Nothing, the former leader, left in charge, into nothing more then a front." Xeir growled at him
"The council was a front yes, but it worked in my favor, it allowed me to get to places I normally was unable. But why am I telling you this ?" Kiyori asked her, "For all I know, you'll kill me, take the Formation, and rule things how you see fit." He pointed his sword at her. "I will never let this formation fall into your hands." He said to her.
Xeir smiled at him, and was quiet. A smirk on her face. Impish and alive with a pent up energy he had never seen before. "If you say so. Then so be it." She drew her sword, the blade long and very thin. And yet the length of the blade was longer than any sword that Kiyori had seen. It made his short sword pale in comparison. It was her two swords combined end to end, making it twice as long, and yet it fit snug in her hand
Kiyori recognised her for who she was then, and not just as the woman who kept freeing his priosners. "Xeir Zith!" He said
"Finally, someone recognises me!" Xeir replied, almost mockingly, truth be told she was actually waiting for him to recognise her.
"What do you want ?" Kiyori asked her.
"The six shards you used to repair the formation. With them now working to repair it as you have done. What I want, is for you to join them." Xeir replied.
He lifted his sword at her. "And if I refuse ?" He asked her, he was not going to just back down without a fight and let her take over the Formation.
"Well," Xeir mused, "That's up to you, Kiyori" She said. He snarled and settled into a stance as she smirked at him and raised her sword into a attack pose after saluting him with it.
Arendelle
Bridge to the Palace
Bridge to Arko
At that same moment
It took her a bit of doing, but once back on solid ground after such a long fall, Tiri had darted, in her icewraith form, as fast as she could for the Assassin Den in the Marketplace District, only to find it empty, the only person there was a sleeping low ranked Assassin recruit.
So she then followed Marks scent, and also the scent from Sapphire. Tiri halted briefly, turning human as she did so. "When did she get back into Arendelle ?" The Icewraith wondered before shrugging, shaking her head and darting to where the scent went.
She came upon the crowd on the bridge as Sapphire was swimming in the water below, she saw the piled dead all around and knew that Mark had been busy. But had not heard what he said about a pool.
She forced her way through the crowd. "Mark!" She called out. Her voice strangely, hauntingly familiar. To Mark she sounded like Elsa, to a few she even looked like Elsa, if Elsa had bonepatterns of ice upon her face at least
Mark looked around, he wanted to call out the name of Elsa, but he knew it wasnt her, mostly because of the jostling around the crowd did as Tiri appeared, a few people shied away, scared about the ice thing running for Mark. And briefly Asami was about to attack to defend her cousin. When Blackmane stopped her.
"Tiri ? Its been a while hasnt it ?" He asked her upon seeing her.
"Yeah, for the most part." Tiri said, "listen, Xeir is taking on the high priest as we speak, I'm not sure if she can do it alone, so she sent me to find you and storm the castle to get control of the hallway. According to the portal, the gate is always open when the chamber is in use."
Mark nodded, but it was his aunts startled cry of the sky above that got their attention. Looking up he saw the stars starting to be clearly visible in the sky above. "That's not good."
"It means that battle now rages in the Formation" Blackmane said, Mark looked to his aunt as she spoke. "Go to the formation. Help Xeir. We'll help you out here by keeping the guards busy. Go!" She said to him
Mark looked from her to Tiri, who was nodding as Blackmane spoke, he was about to speak when Tiri smirked and said "Oh go on, you have a battle to do!"
The sad part was Mark was still tired from whiping out the Honor Guard, four hundred men in four hours ? That was a lot of fighting!
"I cant!" Mark said to her
"Why not ?" Tiri asked him, her hands on her hips.
"Because I just killed four hundred thugs, I'm exausted. I need a rest. A relaxing bath, something!" Mark told her.
"I dont care, Xeir needs you, we need you, now get going!" Tiri told him
"Mark look, if we dont do this now, the High Priest might survive. We have to fight him on equal ground or even better if we can" Blackmane said to him, she smiled then. "However if you really feel you must take a break, then very well. Take a swim, get your strength back. Relax a bit. After that we can focus on helping Xeir, alright ?"
Mark nodded. "That sound sfair, Aunt Blackmane. Tiri, can you get through the portal on this side ? You two found the portal in the Temple, so what about the portal here in castle ?"
"I think I might be able to make a portal to get in there, but I'd have to use someone as a focal point, I cant just open a portal into a place I havent been to yet" Tiri said. As much as she was in a hurry to help Xeir, there was still the fact Mark needed to regain his strength first.
Tiri did not know how long Xeir could hold out on her own against the High Priest. But judging by the movement of the constellations in the sky above, and the fact that instead of swirling in the sky like the stars had been more and more cently, the mere fact of the stars suddenly showing constellations instead of jerking around only made things more dangerous.
Suddenly it was like a planetarium had started up and every known constellation in the northern hemisphere was in the sky above them, and it was still daylight!
"Ok that's new" Mark said seeing the stars, the signs in the sky pointed out trouble, and there were dozens if not more of constellations in the sky above. Which meant trouble.
Lots of it.
"Alright, I think I can forget getting my strength back. Tiri, you said that Xeir is alone vs the High Priest right now ?" Mark said
Tiri nodded. "Yes, alone and insisting I find you." Tiri replied. The Icewraith turned her attention to the stars in the sky.
"Mother ?" Asami asked to Blackmane. What were they to do.
"I got an idea, Mark, go find Xeir and help her against the high priest. We'll help you from here." She said to her nephew.
Mark nodded, "Tiri" He said, she looked at him, "You're with me, everyone else, lend whatever energies you can, this shouldnt take too long. I hope." Tiri nodded and went with Mark. The two blasted through the gates to the castle, none of the soldiers tried to stop either man or icewraith.
Blackmane sat down on the pavement of the bridge and focused. Internal energies danced and grew as others began to follow her example. Within a minute their combined force went after Mark, giving him, and in turn, Xeir, their combined power.
It was enough, Mark hoped, to break the High Priests hold on the kingdom. On the world.
As he and Tiri went through the halls, they found the empty hall devoid of guards. "There!" Tiri said, spotting the portal, the colors danced and she could hear Xeir and the High Priest shouting at each other.
Mark stopped at the portal, it looked like a liquid mirror set upon its side. "Whoa" he remembered seeing the throneroom, the council room, and the Formation chamber. And yet, somehow, seeing the portal active, with Xeir and the High Priest inside. It only made things one step further for the plans they had in place.
"They havent started fighting yet" Mark said upon seeing Xeir with the High Priest having a sword drawn, his back to the portal. Xeir he was unable to see.
Stepping to the portal Mark felt resistance, much like Tiri did. "Ow!" he said, his hand thrown back as if electrocuted.
"What is it ?" Tiri asked him
"It wont let me through" He replied
"Great, so Xeir is alone!" Tiri wailed.
"No, shes not alone. You feel that ?" He could feel the combined energies from those outside the castle still on the bridge, even the soaking wet energies from his cousin Sapphire, being channeled to them, but stopping as if disconnecting.
"Yeah, I feel it" Tiri said after a second or two. "Why ?"
"I think we can help Xeir from here, by channeling our internal energies with the energies we are receiving, and then directing it at Xeir through the portal
Tiri thought a brief moment then nodded. "Alright. Sounds like a plan." She said, the two of them then said cross legged and focused on their internal skills and energies. Channeling the raw power from their friends and family through themselves, and then projecting it through the portal to Xeir
Luckily, Xeir felt their energies coursing into her. Through her and around her. It was not going to be much longer. And she knew it. But the High Priest did not know his time was limited to a scant few minutes more.
Xeir smiled at him. He screamed a warcry and ran at her, sword raised. She ran at him, her sword shrinking in length as she suddenly snapped it into two blades. Thrusting forwards the High Priest dodged a strike and parried another as Xeir traded blows with the man briefly.
He brought his sword down on her two, she dropped to one knee and held there, the bridge below her cracked from the raw power being channeled. "Is this the best you can do ?" Xeir asked him, she felt the internal energies build around her.
She pushed him away. A moment later he ran at her and the two traded blows easily, she parrioed and thrust, he doddged and parried. Mostly on the defense as Xeir simply toyed with the High Priest.
Kiyori was losing his paitience with Xeir. "Why defend! Why not fight ?!" He struck again, Xeir catching his blade with her left sword.
"Fight, is that what you want me to do ?" she asked him, He gave her a dirty look. She nodded. "Alright, lets fight!" She put her right sword away and pushed him back and then settled into a stance. Waiting for him to make the next move.
Their swords connected then, sparks flew as they fought, moving fast Xeir swung low as Kiyori jumped, swinging high, Xeir leaned backwards and struck with the point of her blade before spinning about and kicking Kiyori in the chest. He fell backwards.
Xeir put a hand to her face, a thin trail of blood was on her cheek. She touched the cut, then pulled away her hand. She was injured. Looking to him she was confused. "All this, for one drop of blood ?" She asked him
Kiyori was breathing hard. "You bitch! You'll fall here! I've seen it!" he said to her. Xeir started laughing.
"You saw one of us walking away from this. But you did not see past something else" She said, he could control time, he saw time begin, he saw time end. He saw them fight, but only one walked away.
"Enough riddles!" Kiyori shrieked, he got to his feet and ran at Xeir, his sword glowing with an etheral energy, As Mark and Tiri sat and focused, Xeir and the High Priest traded blows again as Time came to a halt around them.
To the onlooker it appeared as if both fighters were standing still. But they were moving so quickly they were unseen by anyone until they appeared elsewhere as they battled across the Formation's balcony. Xeir finally blasted the High Priest backwards enough to get a footing and drew her second sword.
"You cannot fight me with one, so you draw the other to an unfair advantage ?!" Kiyori snarled, he started to run at her to thrust his sword through her.
Xeir easily span away from him, time caught up to them as she spoke. "No, Kiyori, I can fight you just fine. But I just choose to let the battle end." She said to him. She raised her blades up, Kiyori knew then what she was doing.
"NO! Stop!" He shouted, once more running at her as she stabbed her twin swords downwards into the balcony floor, causing cracks to form from the point of her stabbing the formations floor. The web of cracks extended from the point where she had thrust her swords into the stone of trhe balcony floor.
Kiyori backpedaled onto the middle of the bridge. "YOU FOOL!" he screamed at her as she twisted her blade. "YOU'VE DAMAGED THE BRIDGE, THE FORMATION WILL CRUMBLE!"
She said nothing as she hooked her swords together at the hilt, making a double edged sword. He saw it and his eyes went wide as he recognised the notion.
Time itself was a double edged sword
"Impossible!" he said, he used a transport leaf to cut his palm, he could still use his blood to fuel the Formation to keep it connected and from collapsing.
Xeir shook her head, she launched her sword at him as he launched another time bubble. It failed as she jumped out of its reach, gliding as her wings formed from her back towards him, his eyes were on her and her alone.
She glided from the balcony, the stonework began to crumble and collapse in on itself. The portal danced with the Arendelle hallway. Within moments it would be gone entirely. Kiyori kept his gaze on Xeir.
It proved to be his undoing.
With his eyes on Xeir as she glided over him, her double edged sword stabbed through him, she easily caught it as she landed on her feet, her wings folding neatly against her back as she turned towards him.
He spat up blood as the sword drove its path through his chest. He turned towards her, stumbling slightly as the formation began to cumble around them. "Impossible!" He gurgled as he stumbled. He tried to use his death as a means to keep the Formation intact.
But it was in vain, the Formation crumbled. And Kiyori dropped to his knees, and then onto his chest. Breathing his last, his internal energy exploded into leaves of green energy, his body decomposing into the same green transport leaves as Kiyori died.
Time. He thought he could control it.
Time, he saw when it started
Time, he saw when it ended.
But he did not see past his own death. Very briefly he could see time stopping as he died. Try as he might he could not stop his own death, and he was unable to stop the destructio of the Formation.
All because he had run out of time. He had controlled time. But he had also lost time. As time resumed within the Formation Chamber, the time he had turned back, had once more reconnected with realtime. And his efforts were in vain.
Kiyori was gone.
Arendelle Castle
Random hallway
At that same moment
The energy spent, Mark had been floating in the air in his seated position for some time, he had no idea how much time had passed only that time had passed. Tiri was standing when she felt the energy finally cease as something happened. Mark dropped to the floor, briefly spitting up blood as he did so, his armor, his duradaeden armor, fading into full view and covering his body entirely before fading away. "Ow" he said as his head swam
"Are you alright ?" Tiri asked him. A chirping sounded as a massive dumbbird formed from nowhere and preened. Ulnas had come back!
He squaked at Tiri and tried to grab her with his beak. It was like a jeep trying to hump a rock, it just didnt work. In this case Tiri had icewraith handled Ulnas to the nearby door leading into the ballroom of the castle and launched him inside.
Mark had to stare confused as Xeir stepped from the wall as if from a portal to nowhere. Tiri dusted off her hands. "And stay in there!" She grumbled as Mark sat up.
"The fuck just happened ?" He asked, he looked ot where Xeir stood and got to his feet. "You made it, Kiyori ?" He said to her.
"Destroyed. The formation collapsed as I was going through the portal, my draconic magic let me continue through the portal. However I had to come out this side from another portal. That's just a blank wall now." Xeir said in reply. Looking at the wall, Mark even tried with his Sight, the eagle vision, and saw no signs of a door of any kind.
"What happened in there ?" Mark asked, "We felt the energy recede when you didnt need it. But otherwise..." He looked at Xeir as Tiri shrieked with joy and all but tackled the woman off her feet.
"Kiyori tried to control time, but time and light work in tandem, he couldnt best me, and I couldnt best him." Xeir said, she smiled then in thought. "At least in a fair fight we could not best each other. I ended up having to destroy the Formation itself. Its gone."
That meant that the fate of the world was once more not in the control of any one man. And thankfully it also meant that Xeir was indeed who she said she was. She simply observed Mark then, confused. She sensed someone she once loved.
"What ?" Mark looked at her, clearly confused and also nervous, her gaze was the kind that could rip out ones soul and examine it carefully.
"A question if I may" She said to him as Tiri reformed, happy as a school girl getting her first candy treat
"I might have an answer" Mark replied to her, but he did not like where it was going. What was the question ?
"Is it possible for me to speak to Kalda, or does it not work that way ?" Xeir asked him. Mark stared at her, not entirely sure of how to answer. She could sense Kalda within him again, just like he could. Kalda was back, and so was his armor. Seeing how Mark was acting, Xeir raised a hand, "You know what, I think I know how to help you get him out of you, or you out of him. Or something"
Now Mark didnt like this conversation, as they were getting into fancy questions. Some of them of which were possibly also quite gross or even scary. "I am seeing a pattern here I am not sure that I like" Mark said
But Tiri ignored him. "Its possible the old farmstead might have what we're looking for." She said. She shrugged then. "I dunno how to grow a body, DiT never told me how she did it. She didnt tell Nara either. But she honored our deal."
"What deal ?" Mark asked the Icewraith
"Its a long story, but to keep it short, when the Nothing was born, that was when Xeir cast her soul from her body, all Dragons can do it, they just choose not to most times. But when Xeir did it, her body became me., though its possible what was left of even that became her new current form ?" Tiri explained, she herself could appear as a human, a healthy thin human woman at that.
Xeir appeared slightly on the muscular side, also with a little bit of baby weight, after all she did lay a single Dragon egg a long time ago, generations before Elsa was even created.
Mark thought a moment, "If it is possible to make me be just me, then fine, we can look into it, until then, I am not sure if you can talk to Kalda, but I do know its possible for him to astral project to get seen by others." He said to the two women. Xeir smirked then nodded.
"Sounds fine to me, so long as I can speak to him." She said, if Xeir had to, she too could easily astral project herself to interact with Kalda again. But looking at Mark she also sensed two others inside him, both of them stronger. She smiled at him. "You seem to want to read into things, dont you ?" She said
It seemed that Hyperion, within Mark, was trying to find further knowledge now that Kalda was able to interact freely with the Harpy Eagle. Mark just looked at her. Elsa, his wife, was dead and gone. Once more the Dragon before him as if she never exsisted.
But Elsa did exist, she ruled a kingdom. And on that thought, Mark asked "Who runs the kingdom now ? You ?"
Xeir was startled and suddenly blushed a deep red, "Oh, Mothers Love no!" She said, that was a reaction Mark had never heard before, but he understood it. If Xeir indeed was a dragon, the scales betrayed that much. He used his sight on her, and saw something even more solid, Elsa was nowhere to be seen, and yet, in Xeirs dragon soul, he saw the briefist hint of a family.
And that brought he next comment from his mouth, but not his words. "A baby girl" It was Kaldas voice. Xeir stared at Mark, but Mark clamped a hand over his own mouth as Kalda astral projected, "hello my beloved!" Kalda said simply to her. Tiri stared, she hadnt seen Kalda in ages, not since the day before he went to fight Kenthed one on one so long ago
"Kalda" Xeir said with a soft smile, one filled with joy. "You survived so many generations as a wandering soul, and it took my battle, so brief as it was, with Kenthed to bring us back together. Although it was not as we wanted at first"
"Yes" Kalda replied, his ghostly form floated as Xeir walked around him. "It has been a long time"
"You think it is possible to create for you a new body ?" Tiri spoke up, Kalda regarded her carefully.
"I doubt it. The last thing we need is a body made for me running around with it not working the way I want it to. Though if we could find Light..." Kalda said in thought, He let the thought hang briefly before sighing. "I am not sure if it will work.
"It worked for me." Xeir said, she then pointed at Tiri, "It worked for Tiri, it might work for you." The silver dressed woman regarded her husbands spirit.
"I am not sure if I can transfer to another body so easily. Let me meditate on this" Kalda told her, Mark could feel the horny chief and Hyperion debating the finer points of tea drinking and beer swimming over fucking a good wife such as Irie. But he kept his mouth shut
Xeir looked upset, but nodded. "Do not take too long" She said to him. Kalda smiled, Xeir had already waited centuries for the chance to even talk to her husband again. Kalda faded from view, the plexus pattern around his feet and body, denoting the rip in reality, faded away as reality became whole as if never ripped open.
"I am never going to get used to that" Mark said, it was always a surprise and even nerve wracking when Kalda astral projected. It was weird in a manner of speaking.
"Now to find Diamond, with any luck she's with her husband." Xeir said, Mark turned to look at her, Kalda knew the name, but couldnt place the face. Mark however had no idea who Diamond even was. Other then in the dream world.
"Who ?" He asked her, then he shook his head. "Alright listen, the council is slated to be disbanded tomorrow, who is going to go in there as the high priest and make the announcement that someone is gonna lead the kingdom ?" Mark asked, he needed a proper answer, not just anyone could go into the co9uncil chambers to make such an announcement to so many people at once!
Xeir thought a moment, then sighed. "What about the Nothing's sister ?" The way she said it made Mark want to retort that Elsa was not nothing, she was somebody, she was the queen. But the tone in Xeirs voice made him not want to get her mad at him at that moment. After destroynig the Star Formation, what more was there to do ?
"Princess Anna ? You think she could rule the kingdom ?" Mark replied
"It could work, Anna's with the Kopekh as we speak." Tiri said, "If we hurry, they might be settling in for their dinner. We can talk to her about the idea." The Icewraith had a point and Mark just pointed at with a nod.
"Fine, go find Anna, talk to her, and ask her to come here. I, I have a few things I need to do on my own." Xeir said. When Tiri was about to ask what Xeir was thinking, the silver dressed woman shook her head. "Dont worry about me, go. I'll meet you in the throne room, in an hour."
Xeir felt a brief pull of a hug from Kalda, but she needed to find out what happened to her mother. She needed a brief moment in time to herself. To make the connection.
As soon as Tiri and Mark left the castle in search of Princess, soon to be Queen, Anna, Xeir turned and went into a portal into someplace else entirely outside of time.. for Xeir, time had stopped, she could see the past, the present and the future.
But what she wanted was to actually speak to someone else. If anything, this place knew where she could start looking.
"So you finally did it, you found its weakness, and explotied it to the letter, just like it was to be expected." Came a voice. That of a man. Starmaster stood at a low railing made of wood and steel, looking out of a city with glass and tile rooftops. "I must admit, witnessing such an epic battle would have been worth paying money for."
"Do you know what happened to my mother, the All-Mother ?" Xeir asked him. She had a look that had many questions, but that was the first that sprang to her mind.
He turned and leaned on the low rail, regarding her carefully. "Not as much as I would like, but enough, truth be told it could be useful to then to me." He picked up something off a nearby table and held it out to her.
"What is this ?" Xeir asked him, looking from the book he handed her, to look at his face. He had just handed her the same journal that DiT had given Sazhori.
"For one thing, its a book, for another, any questions you have on where Light might be, they could be in there. Or you can ask DiT yourself when you see her, if you see her. Last I knew she had left the Mortal Realm" Starmaster said to her as she opened the journal
Xeir didnt hear him, seeing her mothers writing in clear yet also in some places cryptic forms made her smile softly. Light knew how to write a good journal, but some of the writing, as clear and flowing and also quite beautiful as it was, could also be filled with confusing riddles or nosense.
"Though" Starmaster said then "I never expected the Formation's destruction to do what is doing now. Earth was in the Mortal Realm is it not ?" He asked her
"It is, it is how I managed to come here, outside of time. Why ?" Xeir said to him.
"Judging by the work of the stars, its in the Mythic Realm now, or soon will be." He turned to her. A soft smile on her face as he pulled her to her feet when she closed the book. "It is time for you to return to the Earth. You still have many things left to do. And a lot of time to do them in."
"Before I go, will this help me find my mother ?" Xeir asked, a portal forming to her left.
He looked at her thoughtfully, then smiled, "Everything you need to find your mother is in that book. The one who had it before you did was unable to understand most of it, but her job was completed when she managed to figure it out and get the book to me. Your job now begins the moment you step through that portal to return to Earth." He told her.
Xeir smiled then and nodded. She thought she had it figured out. She then turned to Starmaster. "One last question"
"Yes" He replied to her, but he knew what she was going to ask, and said "Before you ask, yes, I am the creator of the Star Formation. Hima Alo was my closest friend. I do not know where he is, but I know where you can start looking." He told her
She smiled and thanked him, entering the portal to return to the Arendelle castle, appearing outside the throne room she saw a man she had seen only as her Nothing's memories of him, Kai was busy ensuring the castle was cleaned and something was happening.
Everything felt just a little bit more magical.
Xeir went and sat in a council chair, opening her mothers journal she started to read about how to build a body. Her mother had used her current body as a model to work with. There then was indeed a way it was hoped then. So she thought. To be able to have the means to create a proper body for Kalda ?
Arendelle
Taelieon District
Kopekh Center Structure
At that same moment
As Xeir sat down to read her mothers Journal, Mark and Tiri came to the door that stood between them and the Kopekhs inner chamber. Where Anna was staying the last few months, it was open, upon entering they saw more of the Kophek milling around. They had met others along the way to that structure and each one they met pointed them to this structure.
"Ah" Sharka said upon sight of Mark. "Master Wolfe graces us with his precense and that of a lovely lady. Please join us in a meal" He said
Rather then insist, Mark agreed, much to Tiris confusion, normally Mark was a stubborn idiot, but was he learning how to relax for once ? The two joined Sharka, his wife Altan, her sister Altun, and her husband Taichar. With them was also Princess Anna of Arendelle.
"So" Sharka asked after they began to eat. "Didja figure out what made the stars all wonky the last few months ?"
"We did, a star formation controlled the stars in the sky at all times. And when someone tried to use the formation. It made the stars do... strange things." Mark explained.
Sharka was thoughtful. But it was Anna who spoke. "What brings you two here ? And why are you so bloody and dirty, Mark ?" Anna gave Mark a pointed look, and the man blushed slightly.
"OK so I didnt have a lot of time to clean up after cleaning house" He said after explaining his condition.
"So, what brings you here ?" Altan asked, Mark turned to her but it was Tiri that spoke up.
"Xeir destroyed the Formation, but she also destroyed the High Priest. And tomorrow the council is supposed to get disbanded. However, we need someone who can go to the council tomorrow to tell them it wont get disbanded and they will have a new Queen to govern with." Tiri explained, in rapidfire, of what she knew of Xeirs plan. Mark was nodding as the Icewraith spoke.
"So wait" Anna spoke. "Kiyori, the guy who crowned Elsa as queen, is dead ?"
"According to Xeir, completely gone, not just dead, but gone too, body and soul just... poof" Mark said, putting a bit of an emphasis on the word poof.
"I see, so with him gone, there's a void in the seat of power." Sharka said. "You want Anna to go with you back to the castle, if this is the case, the Kopekh have served their duty" Sharka said to Anna, "Should you wish it, we will also come to the palace with you as an escort."
Anna thought a long moment, feeling all eyes on her. "Sharka, you and your wife, your family, the Kopekh, they helped me when I needed it most. I would love for you to come with us back to the castle."
Sharka smiled. "Your highness, let us celebrate! Altan, spread the word to the others in the Kopekh, we are escorting Princess Anna, and Master Wolfe, and lady... I did not get your name" Sharka said looking at Tiri
"I am called Tiri" She said to him, the Icewraith smiled at the mans actions. "And dont worry about me, I'll catch up, I have a bit of... personal business I need to attend to." Apparently only Mark knew what she meant, she gently bowed away from any offers of desert and headed off.
Arendelle
Pond District
Moments Later
"I hoped to find you two here' Tiri said upon finding Diamond, in her guise as Diana, and her husband Naratas, who was nursing a gigantic beer mug. "Or at least together"
"Whats up ?" Nara asked around a belch to the Icewraith.
"Xeir destroyed the Formation, also destroyed the high priest and by look of things, also destroyed every single model the guy made, I've been seeing a lot of models burning and destroyed, any prisoners released ?" Tiri said
"A few, some of them celebrated their freedom at the nearby bar. Its where Nara got the mug" Diamond said, "Why ?"
"Xeir wanted me to find you and Nara, but she didnt say anything about your mother. Marks mother. Do you know where she is ?" Tiri said
"Mother as in Charity Wolfe ?" Nara asked her.
Tiri nodded "Yes" Tiri replied, "Have you seen her ?"
"Last I knew, she was still at the brothel in the Talz District." Nara said, "Why ?"
"I think its time you met your brother, its been what ? Thirty years ?" Tiri said to Diamond, the blonde woman thought a moment then agreed. "So, here's the plan, Tomorrow, after Anna speaks to the council and gets crowned as their queen. Show up in the throne room. You and Charity both... though you might have to go as Marion Wolfe, can you do that ?"
"I think so, Marions still around inside me somewhere." Diamond replied to the Icewraith. "What time ?"
"Whenever you have breakfast. In the mean time, stay in the Pond District Den, I'll let Xeir know the new plan!" With that Tiri dropped a sizable tip for the waiter for Naras massive beer and headed off.
As Tiri left them, Nara mused softly. "So that Icewriath is a fun one." He said to his wife, a soft smile almost dreamy looking on his face
"She is, she also woke up Xeir at the last second. Glad she did." Diamond replied, she caught the smile and gave her husband a dirty look.
"You can channel Marion, cant you ?" Nara asked her.
"I can, but it hurts, but its possible for me to do so for short periods, yes." Diamond replied
"Good, because after breakfast tomorrow, also for breakfast tomorrow, you're gonna be Marion Wolfe." Nara had a smirk in his tone
"That's fine, because tonight you're going to be my bodypillow" Diamond told him, she had a impish grin on her face.
"Oh look at me tremble with fear" Nara snickered in reply.
But then he busted out laughing when Diamond correctd him. "No dear, you're trembling, with beer. You've never feared anything in your life." It was true, Nara was not easy to damage or injure. And yet somehow, he nad not a lot to fear.
"Fair point, dear." Nara replied simply. "I wonder if whatshisface came back ?" Nara then asked.
"Who ?" Diamond asked him
"You know, that southern princely freak ?" Nara replied, Diamond felt weird. "You alright dear ?"
"I think so ? Its like my magic is building in strength, I can feel Marions presense stronger too in me, if I want to I can channel her easily. But it wont be for very long. Its like shes gathering just enough energy for it ?" Diamond replied
"Huh, I think somethings happening" Nara said, "If Tiri is right and the Formation is destroyed, the effects of its destruction might be bigger then realised."
"How so ?" Diamond asked him.
"Its just a theory, but I hope I'm wrong, come on, this body pillow needs his other body pillow" Nara said, he stood from the table and took Diamonds hand in his own.
The two of them left the outdoor diner and headed for a nearby Assassin Den, going inside the only resident, an older man, saw the two. The married couple had a room on the second floor towards the back. He paid them no heed if any.
The night was going to be an eventful one.
Arendelle
Castle
Throneroom
Moments later
Xeir turned a page in her mothers journal, most of the stuff of making a new body she couldnt hope to understand, but a lot of it explained where she had gone.
The old mansion in the Pine District. The old rotting out house. The perfect place to hide.
Xeir had been told by Tiri that Mark had tried to explore the dreamworld, only to wake up in the old koi pond outside the old mansion. Xeir and tiri however were able to explore another realm within the old mansion.
So why could Mark not do so ?
It did not make a lot of sense to the young Silver, but Xeir didnt care at that moment as she sat against a pillar reading the journal. It was as if she was hearing her Mothers voice in the writing of the book itself. Some of it was hard to understand. Most of it concerned paths of revenge against certain parties.
But some of it concerned thoughts on the fact that Xeir, and her Nothing, were connected, and that Xeirs nothing had to rejoin with Xeir to wake her up, give back, so to speak, her power.
Xeir smirked. Closing the journal she set it inside a pocket dimension of her own storage zone and went deep into thought at the place she sat ni the shadows. Nobody paid her any heed or worry since she had arrived in the throneroom of the castle.
But it made a few people nervous, the sight of the scales upon her arm, her face, chest, hip, leg, as if she had been through a war.
Which she had.
Outside the throneroom there arose a commotion as Anna, her escort of Mark and the Kpoekh, and Tiri all arrived inside the castle.
"Will you calm down, Kai ?" Anna asked the butler, who was making a fuss at the sight of the Princess
"It has been too long, Princess Anna" Kai replied, the portly butler was more or less estatic that Anna was back, but his excitement was slightly dimmed when Mark expressed tha the woman in the Throneroom waiting for them was not Elsa, but someone else just as important. "It will be good to have proper royalty in the palace again" Kai finally said.
"Is Xeir, the lady in that teal shiny dress with scales on her arm ? Still in the throneroom ?" Mark asked him.
Kai had to wonder who he meant until he mentioned the dress that Xeir wore. "She is, she hasnt left since she went inside. Not a sound from within it either." Kai replied. He recognised Tiri slightly, and nodded to the woman, briefly thinking her the former Queen before realising, Elsa wasnt made entirely of ice.
"Thank you" Mark said to him, "You may return to your duties" Kai nodded and took his leave. Mark turned to Anna as the Kopekh took their places lining the hall to the throneroom door. "Anna, there is something I need to make clear, just like I told Kai." He said to her.
She looked at him, Mark still didnt like the feeling he got when thinknig of Elsa in the past tense. "What ?" Anna asked him. "You told Kai that Elsa was dead, never coming back, and that the woman in there will feel like her, but isnt her. Or some such thing ?"
"Exactly, the woman in the throneroom right now made it clear to me, even though I refuse still to believe it. Elsa is dead. When you see the woman waiting for us, you might think she is your sister, and at one point she was, but in truth she wasnt. Its complicated, like how Tiri can survive with her body being made entirely of ice and strange magic." Mark explained to her.
Anna thought a moment as Sharka rejoined the two, Altan patrolled with her sister as her brother in law checked the soldiers barracks with a small group. "I see." She said softly. She missed Elsa dearly, as did Mark, but something told her, and it was not Marks tone, but the information provided to her by the Kopekh, Nekhii, his sister Kara, and her brother Aruchii about Xeir.
Mark sighed, he was worried he might have upset his sister in law. "So what you mean is, Dont get excited when I meet the mysterty woman" Anna finally said.
Marak nodded. She got his point easily enough. But would it be enough ? He hoped so. "That is exactly what I mean. The woman in there isnt even Human, but dont panic, she appears as one." Mark felt a pang of regret for telling Anna to behave herself. She was a Princess afterall. Anna smiled at him, and the two then turned to Sharka as he arrived.
"Yes, Sharka ?" Anna asked him
"Well, Princess, from what Altan and I can figure out, along with Taichar and his group. The soldiers here are typical Arendelle soldiers in the arendelle colors. But they're just milling about. Their quarters are in disarray at this moment, Taichar said he would get them back into shape. My wife, Altan, and her sister, Altun, are on patrol in the castle as we speak. And as you can see in this hallway alone, it is guarded by Kopekh, Wolfe Clan members to the core are once more doing their duty to the royal family" Sharka had a hint of pride to his voice. He was once more doing his job as protector of the royal family.
Anna had to smile, seeing Sharka so overjoyed at doing what he was born to do. She took a deep breath, then opened it, the two soldiers closest to the door were Nekhii and his sister Kara. "Thank you, Sharka, please, come with me and Mark inside, I could use both of your advice." Anna said to him
Sharka nodded, looking towards the siblings at the door they pulled the door open and stood with it open. Stepping into the throneroom she saw the two thrones standing upon a low dias.
The woman expected however was briefly nowhere to be seen. For all intents and appearances, the throneroom was empty.
"I was starting to wonder when you would arrive." Came the voice of someone not of Earth, but of somewhere else, and also a voice that spoke with experience. "I am glad to see the Kopekh survived as well. It is not often such groups continue so long."
The owner of the voice stepped into view, it was Xeir, the woman by then had changed her clothing to a pale white and gold dress. Her scales still meshed with it making it appear as if it were just her skin "I was starting to worry. I am glad to see I did not need to even think of worrying." She said to Sharka
Mark spoke up as Sharka blushed. "Xeir, this is Anna, the current Princess of Arendelle, in the abscense of the High Priest, normally Elsas word would be law. But with her gone." Xeir gave him a dirty look as Mark spoke, but nodded as he mentioned her Nothing being gone. "That ability to passdown laws and judgement passes to her sister, Princess Anna."
Anna stepped forwards as she was introduced. She felt a pang of family ties between her and the Silver Dragon before her. The womans face was much different. Sharper, more angular, her eyes held more experience then Elsa's ever held. "A pleasure to meet you." She said, holding out a hand as if to shake.
Xeir smiled, and shook the offered hand. "The honor is yours" Xeir said to her. Thankfully Anna was not pressing the need for Elsa to speak. Elsa was gone, a part of Xeir however remembered Anna from her Nothings memories "It is not often I get to speak to the sister of my Nothing." Xeir said
Anna was about to retort that Elsa was not a nothing or a nobody. But Mark spoke up. "This is what I meant by this woman not being who you think she is. I still think she is who she isnt. It will take some getting used to." He said, he himself still wasnt used to it
But in his minds eye, Kalda smiled, his wife was alive. Xeir sensed him. But looked to Sharka who looked a bit sick to his stomach., "Master Sharka, are you unwell ?" Xeir asked him.
"I am not sure, my stomach feels as if I ate a bad meal, but I dont feel as if I am going to throw up or even sneeze" Sharka replied, Xeir then felt it too. As did everyone else.
"You feel that ?" Anna asked to Mark, he was looking at his hands, and even touching his head as he felt a brief headache, no blood was on his fingers.
"Yeah" He replied. "It is as if my magic is getting amplified somehow." He thought of his armor, not his cousins armor, but his own armor, it faded into view without so much as a heartbeat to pass. It disappeared as Ulnas also apepared with a loud cawing noise before landing and preening himself, he looked healthier then normal
"I think it is the Star Formation, when I destroyed it, it imploded on itself" Xeir said thoughtfully.
"You destroyed the Formation ?" Anna asked, she had been hoping to use it herself when Kiyori was destroyed. But now. Was it even needed anymore ?
"I did, I was unable to best Kiyori in combat, so I destroyed the Formation, or at least, I damaged it enough for it to collpase upon itself." Xeir replied to her.
"I see" Anna said softly, clearly upset.
"I feel as if you wanted it intact you would let the power go to your head" Xeir told her, it was better for it to be destroyed then to be kept intact.
"What happened to the high priest ?" Anna then asked her.
"Gone, his body disolved when the Formation collapsed, he tried to use his own blood to power it in an effort to control it to try and best me." Xeir explained the fight and how she managed to finally get the last strike in by damaging the Formation, the destrction of the blacony that one could control it from caused it to collapse on itself, the Bridge to Nowhere was also destroyed.
"So what happens now ?" Anna asked as she stepped towards the two thrones.
"Well, if my guess is correct, Starmaster said that the collapse of the Star Formation would cause a rift in two different realities, causing one, in this case this planet, its sun, and solar system as a whole, would get pulled into the new reality." Xeir said
"You met the guy ?" Mark asked her. He had only met a fragment of the mans memory, if Xeir was able to meet the guy ?
"I did, he commended me for my fight and winning it, but also remarked that we still have plenty of work left to do. Even with the Formation gone. There is still the matter of the Templars, and of some others less controlling." Xeir said to him.
She turned to him as Anna regarded her mothers throne. "Have you thought on my question ?"
"I... wait question ?" He tried to remember, Xeir had asked him a question.
Xeir looked at him as she sat on a low bench. "I can sense Kalda inside you, can I talk to him, or is that not how it works ? When I first asked you this question you did not answer. Can you answer now ?"
Mark bit his lip, then said after a moment of thinking, "Let me ask him."
She looked at him confused as if Mark was in a trance. "She wants to talk to you" He said appearing before Kalda in the mindscape
"I thought as much" Kalda replied to him. He smiled. Maybe he could take control once in a while, Hyperion had helped him and allowed him into Marks library of the brain.
"So, what happens now ?" Mark asked him
"Easy, you give me control for a few minutes, and then I get to speak to Xeir. Maybe even screw her I dont know" Kalda said to him.
Mark just looked at him. "I think the Horny Chungus is getting to you" He said to him. Which made Kalda laugh.
Hearing Kalda laugh however made Mark tilt his head in wonderment. He'd never been able to recall the time when Kalda last laughed. "Hearing you laugh is weird" Mark said
Kalda soon stopped laughing, finally he drew a sharp breath. "Will tonight work, after you go to bed ? I can borrow your body after you sleep, providing of course you keep Horny Chief busy somehow." He told Mark.
Mark thought a moment, then nodded. "I'll see what I can do, but no promises." He told Kalda, then he left the mindscape.
Returning to Xeir and the others he saw her concerned face. "I'm alright" He said to her. "But I have good news, after I go to bed tonight and get into a deep enough sleep, Kalda can take over my body to be with you for a bit. I am not sure what he'd be able to do or how he'd look though."
"That is good enough for me" Xeir said to him. A smile on her face, she could wait a few more hours if she had to. "In the mean time, I am famished and there is no food on the tables like I am used to having back home."
Kalda knew what she meant, as did Sharka, but Anna was confused. "Isnt Arendelle your home ?" She asked. If magic had returned and grew stronger as they all felt something akin to it growing around them.
Xeir shook her head. "No, it is not. It never was" She sighed then. It was going to be a long story for sure. But with the way things felt, her magic felt stronger.
"Hey, Lady Xeir, if you do not mind the title." Sharka said upon noticing something, her scales looked prettier, shiner, better and healither really. "Is it just me or do you look, prettier ?"
"Is it the dress or something else ?" She asked him looking down at her self, scratching her head. Briefly her scales danced on her fingertips before fading away. But she saw it too, her scales were much prettier then they were before the strange feeling. "I see what you mean" She said to Sharka
"However on the mention of Food, Lady Xeir" He said to her as she smiled at the title, she never bothered to correct him. "The Kopekh's tables are always filled with the food we can hunt and cook daily"
"I am used to Mothers kitchens always providing food on the tables," Xeir said, she raised her left hand and showed them her scale covered arm. "These scales did not just appear to defend myself from the High Priest you know" She told him. She then explained that she had no idea how to cook. But if need be she could go to her mothers place and eat there if she had to.
"Be that as it may, there is still the issue of tomorrow morning" Mark said.
"Yes, the council gets disbanded tomorrow, at that point Kiyori was going to offically try and oust Xercine, the man my sister put in charge of the council in her stead." Anna said with a nod, she brushed a hand on her mothers throne chair's armrest as she spoke. "Sharka" She said, she was rubbing her fingers together. He looked to her, "Could you send for a maid ? My parents throne chairs need cleaning, they are quite dusty."
"At once" Sharka said, he turned and left the throneroom at a fast walk. Anna was already settling in as the new Queen.
"He takes to his job happily, doesnt he ?" Anna asked
"He does" Mark replied, there came a chirping from the nearby window as Tiri slithered into view.
The icewraith had gone in search of food and formed briefly on Xeirs head before holding out her massive maw. The cook came in just as Tiri settled the roasted chicken onto Xeirs open palm. "Your majesty, Master Wolfe,I... oh I see you found the theif who stole the chicken from the kitchen just now." The cook said.
"Theif ?" Xeir asked, as Anna stifled a laugh. "There is no theif here, just a hungry woman. You would deny her food ?" Tiri remained on Xeirs head, looking like a crown of a headband of a sort.
"You mean you took the chicken ?" He did not recognise Xeir as a theif then, but instead he wondered why she felt so familiar. "No matter, please, enjoy. I am sorry to disturb. Our foodstores had run low recently thanks to events the kingdom suffered under."
"You can see to it then that the recent events the kingdom suffered under have finally been put to an end" Mrak said as Sharka returned with a chambermaid. The maid was well dress Mark saw, nothing overly sexy was in Arendelels staff requirements, that was reserved entirely for the Brothel.
"Yes sir, enjoy your meal, my lady" the cook said to Xeir, he then bowed slightly towards Anna and then left the throneroom. Fortunately that meant Arendelle would not only have open castle gates again, but also more food on the tables once more.
Xeirs stomach growled, she was starving. Right then and there she ripped a piece of the chicken, its leg, and started munching, her teeth razer sharp, cut the meat cleanly. It was perfectly cooked. Chicken in the Mortal Realm however was not as filling as it was in the Mythic Realm.
At least it used to be. Because as Xeir ate the food Tiri had provided, minus any means of cleanliness. Only made things slightly comical in the fact that Xeir was starving and was now feeding her face with good food.
The rest of the evening passed with Anna on an inspection tour of her own home, ensuring she could have at least a night of peace as a Princess before speaking to the Council without Kiyori present.
The next day was going to be one hell of a busy one.
For one thing, the Kopekh could help Mark and sapphire rebuild the original Sword Corps. After all, Mark and Sapphire both had eliminated them.
Anna of course would live alone in the castle surrounded by the Kopekh. The Wolfe clan from Mongolian had swelled in number since their arrival in Arendelle and Anna could use their advice and protection.
At least that had satisifed Mark enough to let the matter drop entirely and not pressure Xeir into protecting anyone.
A good hour or so passed and Xeir bid her farewells to Mark, telling him that Kalda would know where to find her that night. Kalda knew exactly what she meant, Mark sighed, he just hoped his body would not be in pain when he woke up.
Arendelle
Pine District
Moments later
"You thought to come here too huh ?" Diamond asked as Xeir appeared from a plexus portal from nowhere. Diamond and Nara had been exploring the old mansion for the last few hours. Finding nothing new. But they had tried to sleep beforehand when the notion of exploring the old mansion hit them full force and so the last hour alone they had been searching it
"Yes. I found mothers journal." Xeir said, she withdrew it from the pocket shelf she had put it. "I feel that since we both woke up in here, the answers to where Mother is have to be here too" Xeir explained
Diamond took the journal and cracked it open. Flipping through a few pages she found things she could easily recognise and understand. At least until the end of the book as she flipped through it rapidly. "There is not a lot here for me to understand clearly. But it looks and feels like Mom is somewhere inside the dream world ?"
"That is my thinknig too" Xeir said
"Have you done it though ?" Diamond asked, "Did you defeat the high priest ? Is the fucker gone ?"
"He is gone yes. And so is the Formation." Xeir said to her sister. "The star formation is no more. The high priest is no more. He disappeared, he tried to use his blood to help him to control the formation, it only made the thing desolve his body." Xeir explained, once more, her fight with the high priest. "When I damaged the formations control balcony, it collapsed on itself. Then I found Mothers journal. And Starmaster was there, he mentioned something of the collapsing of the Formation would cause the rift to begin,"
"So we're in the Mortal or Mythic realm ?" Nara mused aloud, both women looked at him in confusion. "Think about it, Xeir demolished the Star Formation, when it collapsed on itself, it broke reality between the Mythic Realm and the Mortal Realm. Magic is coming to Earth. Its like where Earth connected, its solar system, those are all new stars in the sky above." Nara pointed up at the stars in the sky. He was right, there were new stars up there.
"Alright, lets go in the dream world, its possible Mother is hidden inside" Diamond said when she closed the journal. It was cryptic in many places, but some of it she thought she understood. "I think I know how to unloick the dreamworld so we can activate the portal to go inside." She said
It made Xeir smile, "Alright, hopefully we wont end up somerwhere else like a koi pond or anything." She smirked. Which made Diamond and Nara both laugh briefly before the three headed into the old mansion.
Just like before ,the ancient ruin stood the test of time, but it looked like someone had been to the computer before. It was active, the portal was open, and could allow for anyone to enter if they had the right code. Or at least the knowledge needed to enter safely.
In this case, Xeir and Diamond had the information they needed. And could easily access the machine and look up the data they sought without having to go through a portal of any kind.
However iyt was the strange string of code that caught their attention, it concerned the barrier between the Mythicv Realm and the Mortal Realm growing so weak it tor the Earth, and its entire Solar System from the Mortal Realm into the Mythic Realm
And that was both good and bad.
Good because it allowed magic to exsist and nobody would question it.
It also partly explained how Olaf could exsist in the first place. Because Silver Dragons did have the power to create life, but only for limited periods. Olaf however stuck around for nearly ten years so far.
It was however also bad.
It was bad because it meant that in the Mythic Realm, the enemies of certain groups, namely, the Parrot Enclave, the Black Dragons, and other groups across the Mythic Realm as a whole could infact target Earth at some point or another.
But they were not to worry of such a thing happeneing
Such evil already was on the earth
In the form of five siblings. Or rather, four. And their father. Those five siblings were none other then the children of Draco.
Brutus, the oldest and drunkest of the bunch.
Sutri and her twin sister Nasty, "the twins" of the bunch.
Draco Jr. Dracos son and one of the brashest of the five.
And finally there was Taris, the girl who, with her sister Sutri, had discovered where their fathers body was hidden under the North Mountain.
With the Shadow Lord and his family now at their peak, it was only a matter of time before War was to come.
And all the while. As the solar system joined with the Mythic Realm. A sword flew through the cosmos.
And a Ancient family was going to rise in its wake.
