Day 2

3:14 AM

A gentle rumbling sound cut through her dreams. She refused to wake up, wishing to stay in the cocoon of warmth and security that her dreams provided. The gentle rumble continued and she slowly opened her eyes. A vision of silver greeted her, along with ivory skin. Confused, she made a move to get up only to find herself held in place by strong arms. She looked up and found Sesshoumaru's peaceful sleeping face. 'Sesshoumaru...' She recalled. Memories of their coupling ran rampant in her mind and she had to fight back a blush.

She leaned up as far as his grip would let her, taking in the beauty of the man beneath her. She smiled sadly, knowing that their time together was only an illusion, but one he made sure would forever remain engraved within her.

He shifted slightly and the movement sent a funny feeling up her spine. 'What the hell?' She wandered. The feeling originated from inside her and she wiggled a little to see what it was. Sesshoumaru groaned and the sudden weight of realization hit her. He was still inside of her. There was no fighting the blush that crept up her body at the thought of falling asleep with him buried deep within her.

His hold on her made it impossible to remove herself from him, so instead she settled back down on his chest. Listening to his even heartbeat, and breathing in his particular scent. Even though he had also been sweating with their activities, his scent remained clean and fresh. He smelled like the forest on a rainy day. She toyed with a strand of his silver hair, the silky lock shining with the light from the few remaining lanterns. 'How utterly unfair.' She thought. How did it make sense that his hair would be so silky and healthy when she was the one with the added benefits of specialized shampoos and conditioners? It had to be a Youkai perk she guessed. Truly unfair, beauty beyond belief on top of all the power and strength.

Sighing softly she let the lock drop, his breathing and warmth lulling her back to sleep. 'If only this too were not just a dream.' She thought, savoring the way she felt in his arms as sleep claimed her anew.
