The Hughes Residence (Bob and Kim's Home)

After taking a shower and cleaning herself up, Hope dried off with a towel before changing into new clothes and went downstairs to have lunch. Going through so much the past couple of months heading into the new year Hope knew that she couldn't just stay in her room or at least mope around here or there in her grandmother and Bob's home. She had to do something else to get her out of the current funk she's in, and while the experience of being raped, violated, by her rapist who still wasn't found. Margo assured her they were doing everything they can to find the guy Hope described him as, but nothing new as of right now. There was nothing Hope could do about that, but what she could do is have a honest conversation with Kim and Bob to see what she can do next in her life. And then there's Andy, her dad, who came to see her often since everything took place but Hope knew the guy was hiding something. She just couldn't figure it out but hopefully Andy wasn't in any trouble or Hope could loose her dad to some kind of big threat out there. Coming downstairs, Hope entered the kitchen through the living room before seeing Bob sitting at the table eating his lunch while Kim was still on the phone.

Kim - "Okay okay Andy, I just want you to be alright...of course, love you too Andy. Bye"

Kim sighed before her and Bob saw Hope coming into the kitchen as they both smiled. Hope sat down at the table while Kim puts the phone back up, as both of her grandparents were surprised to see her come for breakfast.

Kim - "Hello Hope, this is a sudden change to see you like this dear"

Bob - "I couldn't agree more, better than spending most of the time in Andy's room to process everything"

Hope - "Well I wanted to try something new so here I am. Is lunch ready grandma? And who was that on the phone? Dad?

Kim - "Oh um...yes dear, that was your father. He wanted to say hello to you but had to go but that he loves you too sweetheart. As for lunch, yes it is and I made your favorite"

Hope - *Mumbles* "Damn it dad, what are you up to these days?"

Bob - "What was that Hope?"

Hope - "Uh, just nothing grandma, but I wanted to talk to the two of you about something important that's on my mind"

Kim - "Okay, shoot, you can tell us kiddo"

Hope - "Alright, where do I start? First off I want to thank the two of you for being so good to me and giving me my space, my privacy, just to think about everything that has happened. I've come to the conclusion that I don't want to keep bottling everything up, the time's come for me to speak my mind"

Bob - "You mean...like a psychiatrist?"

Hope - "Yes, that's what I want to do grandpa Bob"

Kim - *Smiles* "That's such wonderful news Hope...if that's what your choice then we'll support you my dear"

Kim placed her hand on Hope's own hand before the two of them hugged, Bob leaned over and kissed his step granddaughter on the forehead. Hope finally felt comfortable enough without being pressured to tell her grandparents on what she wanted to do. It was the first time ever that Hope felt in control of her life and now in the drivers seat ready for her next destination. The only person who is missing from this was her dad, but something wasn't right. From the conversation Kim had with Andy, obviously something is going on, so Kim was keeping it from Hope who deserve to know the truth. Maybe when Bob leaves the kitchen before doing whatever he does next, Hope could ask Kim. She knew her grandmother would not keep secrets from her and be honest unlike her father, who's doing the exact opposite for some reason. Hope at first thought it was something she did or maybe she pushed him away from supporting her when she was raped. She'll always have regrets for the choices she made and the people Hope didn't want to hear nothing from them. Hope wasn't perfect but she knew when it was time to move on, but her dad should be here and not off somewhere doing a photography job or something that he shouldn't be doing.

Ciccone Creations

Looking over the latest designs for Ciccone Creations upcoming fashion show, the first one that will take place, Liberty removes her glasses. Putting them down on the desk, Liberty stretches back and closes her eyes briefly before she stood up and walks over to the window behind her, looking over the parking lot of Ciccone Creations but also the town of Oakdale just thinking about everything since her return. Liberty wasn't interested in another go around of dealing with Faith and Parker after she stepped back into the spotlight. Going after Parker would just lead to disaster that's written all over it, and the guy made it clear to Liberty that he loved Faith. What Parker and Liberty had back then was great as teenagers but now they were adults, it was time to move on and moving on was all Liberty is about. She has been very busy with the Ciccone Creations ever since it opened as staff, even new interns were hired to learn more about fashion which made Liberty excited about the future for her own fashion house. All of it felt so good to be in control, the only thing that was missing is a good man for her, which she wasn't thinking about. But as the door opened and Liberty turned around, she saw a man who Liberty never that she see again after their last encounter.

Liberty - "Tony?"

Tony, the man who Liberty had a one night stand with back then and gave birth to a stillborn, narrowed his eyes. Coming in, Tony nods his head before he looks around the office and sees what she's done so far, very impressed in Liberty.

Tony - "Yes Liberty, it's me. Did you not think you would see me again after our one night stand?"

Liberty left her desk and immediately closed the door, making sure it was locked since she didn't want anyone hearing their drama. But there's always one, two or more people who'll stay by the door to listen if Liberty and Tony's voices got loud enough.

Liberty - "Well Tony, you weren't reachable and when I told you about my pregnancy, you laughed it off. Do you know the hell I went through to give birth to our child before he died? Parker was the only man there for me, not you Tony."

Tony - "And that's supposed to make things better between us? Yes, I was wrong for not believing in you and not being there for the birth, but damn it Liberty, you could of gave me a heads up when it happened"

Liberty - "A heads up? You were nowhere to be found Tony? Did you even know our son died?"

Tony - "Yes I did actually, your mother warned me to back off and stay away from you to be honest"

Liberty - "She...she what?"

Tony - "You heard me Liberty...your mother, being the bitch that she is found out where I lived and blackmailed me to stay away from you...or else"

Liberty - "Or what?"

Tony - "She would find something on me so that I go to jail for a long tine. My rap sheet wasn't perfect Liberty, I was involved with some gangs over the years but after awhile leaving was the best option. But that wasn't enough for Janet"

Liberty - "Tony, I am so sorry...I had no idea...if I did"

Tony - "Don't...be sorry Liberty...I don't deserve it"

Feeling misty eyed already Tony walks over to the couch and sat down before the tears started to flow from his eyes. Not only did their son died but Tony didn't get the chance to hold their child but Tony thought of being there for Liberty during that time. Tony wasn't ready to be a father to him or her but he at least had to try and take responsibility for his actions along with Liberty. He wasn't sure how Parker was going to react but it was good that he was there for Liberty while the guy wasn't there. Liberty, who at first wanted to blasts him for everything that he did to her, not only cocking her up but also not being here too. But she could see that Tony did have regrets over everything that took place. So Liberty felt for him, walking over to Tony and sitting down next to him before she puts his hand over his own hand. Caressing it with her thumb, Tony looks over Liberty and smiled at her. Smiling back at him, Liberty leaned in and brushed her lips against his as Tony kissed her backed taking her by surprise. Whether it was grief, sadness over taking them, Tony and Liberty stripped each other off of their clothes before they started to have passionate sex on the couch together. Thankfully the door was locked so that no one came in but Liberty and Tony couldn't stop making noises together which will catch the attention of others.

Honolulu, Hawaii

In their penthouse suite, John Dixon was waiting for Lucinda before the two of them would go out snorkeling together out in the ocean thanks to one of John's friends in the medical field. His friend made sure everything was taken care of and there would not be anything getting in their way. The two of them have spent a lot of time in Hawaii over the past couple of months and were having a blasts. Lucinda was having the time of her life here and John couldn't be anymore happier. He knows that Lucinda is also glad to be away from most of the drama when it comes to what's going on in her company Worldwide. All he heard from Lucinda was about the man named Ripley Wells and explaining his ties to James Stenbeck. If there is anyone John had a true disdain for it was the man who cost him his relationship with Lucinda. He was such an obsessive man who ran on cruelty and power, control even against those who threatened him. James was a piece of work but that also includes his brother too, but he wasn't going to let Lucinda go or loose her to Wells. Hearing the door of the bathroom open, John sees Lucinda coming out in her dressed as well and smiles.

John - "You look absolutely stunning Lucinda"

Lucinda - "Why thank you John, you clean up quite well yourself"

John - "I can't wait for us to finally go snorkeling together and maybe some more sight seeing around Hawaii"

Lucinda - "Haven't we done sightseeing already John or you have something up your sleeve that I don't know about?"

John - "Now Lucinda, there's no need for me to be spoiler when you already have everything under control these days"

Nodding her head in impressiveness, Lucinda walks up to John and hugs him before she briefly closed her eyes to kiss him.

Lucinda - "Hmmm...this has been such a great trip so far. So far there's been no phone calls from Lilly, everything at Worldwide is being taken care of and all is right in the world"

John - "Good and it should stay that way until we come back. This can't last for long but let's take the opportunity so that we can live in the moment"

Lucinda and John were about to kiss again before there was a knock on the door. Lucinda and John looked at the door, confused of who it could actually be when they're about to leave.

Lucinda - "Did you order room service John? We already had breakfast"

John - "No I didn't, maybe it's the maintenance who's here to clean our room which is right on time as were about to leave. I got it"

John walked up to the door and was about to open it before the door busts wide open with a man in a hat, including sunglasses, came in catching John and Lucinda by surprise.

John - "And just who in the hell are you?"

The guy removes his sunglasses and hat revealing himself as Kirk Anderson (Tom Wiggin). John and Lucinda were surprised to see him after all this time when the word around the town was they both died.

Lucinda - "Kirk? Kirk Anderson?"

Kirk - "Yes, it's me Lucinda, John and while it's good to see the two you I need you help. I think I am trouble...BIG trouble"

John and Lucinda looked at each other, not sure what Kirk meant by that but from the look on his face, he wasn't kidding. They didn't know what trouble Kirk dragged in, especially when the lovely couple didn't have to worry about a damn thing when it comes to the drama. But now it looks as if there plans may have to be on hold thanks to Kirk who came out of the blue, out of nowhere. What does Kirk need from the though? Lucinda was old enough to remember the shenanigans that they put others through, including the high stakes when him and Samantha tangled with the Stenbeck brothers. She never even heard from her sister and Kirk again almost twenty years ago, but now he needs their help? John hoped he wasn't here to ruin their trip because if so, he would have to throw Kirk out of the room so that the man can fend for himself. John remembered the times where even when him and Lucinda were not together, she told him all about her sister and Kirk. Being a supportive shoulder to learn on, John didn't judge her and wouldn't judge her sister at all. But this was their trip, and John would be dammed if anything happened to Lucinda because of Kirk himself.

The Hughes Residence (Bob and Kim's Home)

As she was finishing up her lunch, Hope heard her cell phone alert her of a text she got from her father. Hope took a look at the text and replied to her father's text by asking where he was. Andy told Hope over text that he was doing a photo shoot but Hope didn't believe him. Though she didn't want him to know so the two of them texted back and forth before they end it with saying 'I love you'. But as they finished their texting, Hope couldn't stop thinking of her dad's safety. Since the day of the rape, Hope has never seen her father look so angry and vulnerable but she hoped he wasn't trying to find the person responsible for this. There's a reason why we have law enforcement in Oakdale and other towns who can handle rapists, etc. criminals who have no regrets on what they did. Andy was no cop or a detective, he was just a normal citizen and a father to Hope, that's about it. And now here Andy is, not with Hope that much and definitely hearing the kind of plans Hope had in mind. All of it wasn't just said, so as Bob finished his lunch he gave the plate to Kim before he stood up from his chair. Bob was about to leave the kitchen so this was the perfect time for Hope to speak to her grandmother.

Bob - "I am going to watch some television, if you two would like to join me, be my guest"

Kim - "Okay Bob I may join you there in a bit after I am done cleaning around the house"

Hope - "I think I will just go back to my room and relax for the rest of the day"

Bob nods before he leaves the kitchen to go the living room. With Bob out of the picture Hope gives Kim her plate too since she was finished eating.

Hope - "There you go grandma"

Kim - "Thank you Hope"

Kim takes Hope's plate and puts it in the dishwater along with the other plates they used for lunch. Now this was the time for Hope to speak up and get some answers.

Hope - "Grandma, that was dad on the phone earlier before I came in right?"

Kim - "Yeah, he's doing fine dear and is working on an assignment for his photography studio"

Hope - "He just texted me saying he was on assignment too...but I don't buy it grandma. I think he's hiding something from me...from us"

Kim stopped what she was doing and placed her hands on the ends of both the dishwasher before the elder lady sighed. She didn't want to answer the question but this was her granddaughter who deserves the truth and not some bull jive.

Hope - "Grandma?"

Kim - "I think you may be on to something Hope...ever since you came here to stay with us, your father in a way has been absent. He does call in most of the time but him being here physically, not that much at all"

Hope - "What do you think's going on then? I don't want dad to get in any trouble fighting justice for the OPD"

Kim - "Neither do I kiddo, I just hope your father isn't getting himself in trouble or delivering his own style of justice like you mentioned"

Hope - "I just think he feels that he failed me on that day when it all happened. He wishes that he could of done much more"

Kim hugged Hope as they both smiled at one another before she went upstairs to do what she just said. Both women didn't want to loose Andy to something or someone so dumb of who raped Hope, but they would not be lying if they didn't feel any pity towards Hope's violator. Unless he got down on his hands and knees, apologizing so many times then maybe but as of now the guy was a non factor. Hope was on the verge of fighting back so to speak by addressing her issue by going to the psychiatrist at Memorial Hospital. She was going to get more support but if there's anyone who supports her more it was her dad. Andy always made sure to make it to her parent-teacher conferences when her mother wasn't feeling well or sick. Andy showed up to her soccer games or went to trips around the world with him where she got to see what he did for a living. Hope didn't want to loose any more of those moments with her dad, neither does the daughter of Andy Dixon wants to see her dad go to jail as well. Reaching the room, Hope took out her laptop and started to do some research for herself on counseling in Oakdale. Then again she needed her dead to see all of this.

Ciccone Creations

After an hour long intimate session between two people who haven't seen each other in a long time, Liberty and Tony laid on the couch in sweat. Both of them were exhausted after that romp which by the way just took place. Maybe it was the death of their child that connected them together, or just the grief. Did Liberty have any feelings for Tony? Maybe she did, maybe those feelings never left when they had their one night stand but pushed them out of the way for Parker. Liberty placed everything on Parker being her future, the man she was supposed to be with but unfortunately fate had other plans. She just got back in to town and now Liberty just had a passionate tryst with someone who never took responsibility for the child they created. Parker was the only man who stepped up to the plate which he didn't have to do, that was an honorable man right there. Tony was none of that but if he did, would they have been together back then instead of another redo of Parker and Liberty? Shaking her head Liberty starts to get up so that she put her clothes back on and so does Tony who looks at Liberty, feeling that this was a mistake for it to happen once again.

Tony - "Let me guess, you hated it?"

Liberty - "Tony, I didn't hate it...I thought that was great. The thing is I have just started something brand new for myself, would I even have time for a new relationship?"

Tony - "Look, if you don't want me again I understand. The past is the past right? We can't afford to make the same mistake twice"

Liberty - "It's not that Tony, I mean I still like you and all but would you really be committed to another relationship between us?"

Tony - "So what you're saying is...there's another chance for us?"

Liberty - "Only if you want to take that chance, but you have to understand Tony, things are different now. I am not that same naïve woman you slept with back then"

Tony - "And you're not, you clearly are different than previously. Look at you, the owner of your own fashion company, you have it all, you've done good"

Liberty - "Well I won't take anything for granted Tony and neither should you. If were going to make this work then we need to communicate and support each other"

Tony - "I'm down for that but we do need to go on a first date, just to take things slow and see where it leads up"

Liberty - "Good...now if you excuse me I have work to do. I'll give you my business card, then you can either e-mail me or leave a voicemail message...just don't hurt me or my mother will have the privilege of making your life miserable"

Tony - "Don't threaten me Liberty, you may be Janet's daughter but you're not untouchable. We need to trust one another for this to work, but anyway I will be on my out the door. I'll make sure to contact you later...and by the way"

Tony walks up to Liberty before pulling her in for another passionate kiss until it breaks leaves Liberty breathless.

Tony - "See you around"

Tony grinned and left, fully dressed, leaving Liberty alone in her office, blushing but angry at herself. Of course, there was nothing wrong with having another go at a relationship with Tony, but she had fears herself of what could happen if this doesn't work out. She could almost imagine Tony cheating on her again or worst, walking away from Liberty which is much worse then cheating. Yes of course, it sucks when your boyfriend, lover or husband cheats on his significant other but walking out on her is just as bad as it is. For all of Liberty's life despite her going to New York to take part in classes for fashion or before that when she grew up in the city with her mother, Liberty felt alone. She learned a lot of lessons in both New York and Okadale but if there's something she learned after her break up with Parker and her battle with cancer, you couldn't take anything for granted. Going to the minibar section, Liberty made herself a drink and took a big swallow, trying to forget about her intimate tango with Tony but couldn't. It felt so good to be with a man and show her what she was missing but could he be trusted still? Sitting down at her desk, she starts to work again so that Liberty can get her mind off of Tony.

Honolulu, Hawaii

From the day she first met Kirk, Lucinda could tell obviously something wasn't right about him. Later on when she heard all about his history, his background and what he did, she couldn't trust Kirk right out the gate. Even she feared for Samantha because of her profession and what her sister did, mixing that with what Kirk does can be very dangerous. But it was obvious that they loved each other despite all who stood in their way. Now that he was back though and in their suite for some reason, Lucinda and John could tell from looking at Kirk's face the man was in trouble. But where was Samantha? She wasn't with Kirk? Was she the one in danger? Is that why Kirk's here? All John could tell is that Kirk, after all the crap he created among his own family and Samantha, he was going to drag them into all of this isn't he? Because if so then John was not going to take part in any of it. He didn't care what Kirk or Samantha did, Lucinda didn't deserve to be dragged in the middle for any of this. And whatever happened next, if Lucinda gets hurt, John is holding BOTH Kirk and Samantha responsible. Kirk stood there like a deer in the head lights not sure of where to start.

Lucinda - "What trouble are you in Kirk? And where is Samantha? We thought you...you died"

Kirk - "Yes but...we didn't die. James Stenbeck is the reason why we were on the run for so many years Lucinda"

John - "Let me guess, one of yours or Samantha's or BOTH of your schemes backfired and he's the reason why you're here, right? You know he's dead, right Kirk?"

Kirk - "It's not that simple as you make it sound John. Like I said, Samantha and I were on the run for quite awhile. We did everything we could to avoid Stenbeck, his brother and their goons and once he died we thought we were in the clear"

Lucinda - "Until..."

Kirk - "Until recently, you see I was buying something special for Samantha and before you know it, I got a phone call from someone"

John - "Who?"

Kirk - "I am not sure, I have not heard that voice in a long time but it sounded so eerily like James Stenbeck?"

Lucinda - "Impossible...you must mean Ripley Wells, right?"

Kirk - "Ripley Wells? Who is that?"

John - "Stenbeck's brother? Do you even watch the news nowadays?"

Kirk - "Another brother? Seriously? No wonder he's after me"

Lucinda - "What were you going to get for Samantha?"

Kirk - "A pearl diamond...the only thing is the people who are after me, they don't want Samantha and I. They want the pearl diamond so bad"

John - "And they're after you, but you've come here to ask us for help too? Not a sunny chance in hell"

Kirk - "I get it John, you're not a big fan of me and Samantha. Lucinda, you don't want to this then I accept, I will just have to figure out another way"

Lucinda - "John let's not be rude here...maybe there is something we can do to help them"

John - "Seriously Lucinda?"

Lucinda - "Yes John...he's family and I can let him hang out to dry"

Kirk - "I need a place to hide...if you don't want to do this then fine...but can I stay in your room for the time being?

Lucinda - "You can stay here for the time being Kirk. John and I are going to leave for something special but when we get out, you need to leave. Maybe we can find you some place to hide for the time being?"

Kirk - "That would be perfect, I won't stay here that long Lucinda you have my word"

John - "Until he's got no place to go and comes running back to us that is...I don't trust you"

Lucinda - "Now now John, let's be nice, there's no need for threats. We must get going, Kirk, just stay right here, if anything happens please call me. This is my cell phone number"

Lucinda hugged Kirk before he gave Kirk his number, took John's hand and left the penthouse suite. John though stared a hole right through Kirk when he left with his wife, not happy that Kirk just ruined their trip but is staying here for the time being. This wasn't a good idea written all over it, and John knew that based upon what Kirk had with him and the people who were chasing him. What if John and Lucinda came back to their room to see Kirk laying on the floor dead and a group of thugs standing leading the couple on a goose chase around Hawaii? Or worse, the group of thugs take John and Lucinda out from behind then kidnap them to draw Kirk out. John ,despite his past and the decisions he's made along the way, would do anything to protect Lucinda, even if that means costing him his license as a doctor in the medical field. Kirk on the other hand watches them leave with Lucinda closing the door behind her. He sits on the edge of the bed and sighs, dropping his bags as the man was making a mess of things but Kirk had to protect Samantha for the time being until he gets to Oakdale. Taking out a picture of Samantha and himself when they were first married, Kirk sighed and kissed the top of the picture, silently praying to god to protect his loved ones.
