Spencer could recall very little after passing out in front of her friends; she remembers flashes of bright colors against her eyelids, a part of her was slipping in and out of consciousness. Strong, hard, but warm arms wrapped around her tightly, murmuring gentle words of comfort, but Spencer couldn't make out what the words were or who was even talking to her.

Before Spencer could question what was going on, she slipped out of consciousness again. When Spencer came to, her eyes fluttered open, and her eyes were incredibly blurry, her body was resting on something cold but firm-a table? The sight of an older man leaned down at her, his eyes gentle and all-knowing. He smiled at her and his mouth moved; Spencer couldn't hear his words. His hand touched her forehead and Spencer slipped again, her mind retreating into the depth of her mind.

Pain is what Spencer remembered next; she woke with lava pouring through her veins, a scream ripping through her throat. She heard yelling, arms were holding her down as Spencer thrashed, curses and incoherent babbles falling from her mouth.

"Hold her down!" A voice thundered above her.

Spencer screamed, her throat stinging painfully, her eyes staring at the golden ceiling above her. Suddenly, a face leaned over her; it wasn't the old man, no, this was Thor. Spencer cried out his name as her body felt as if it was being torn apart. Thor's eyes were pained as he stared down at her, "I am sorry, little one, it will be over soon." Thor reassured her over her cries of pain.

"Step aside, son," The strong, commanding voice Spencer heard earlier spoke, "We need to do this as quickly as possible to minimize the risk of her dying." The face of the old man leaned over, "Forgive me," He murmurs to Spencer.

Spencer thrashed crying out, "Let go of me!"

A pressure on her chest stilled Spencer; for a few seconds Spencer felt numbness, the pain that had awakened her was gone, silent. Spencer could hear her heart thundering in her chest, wondering what was going on. Where was Pietro? Steve? Tony? Why was Thor here? Where was she?

Her heart stuttered; a tidal wave of pain washed over here; throwing her into an endless sea of agony; a scream tore through her; her body arched off the table, her head thrown back, and her eyes squeezed shut in agony. Words were shouted, hands held her down with immense strength again, a strength so fierce, Spencer wasn't sure how they did not crush her bones.

Her screams continued; a howl of agony heard throughout the room. Her veins felt as if they were being pulled out of her body, waves of agony rolling through; this was worse than her captivity with HYDRA. No, this worse by tenfold, her body was being ripped apart, or at least it felt like that.

She felt as if they were pulling something out of her body; whatever it was, was latching onto Spencer for dear life; Spencer continued to scream and cry, her mind delirious with pain. It felt like an eternity before whatever they were trying to rip out of her, gave, and she felt her body snap back down onto whatever she was lying on, a cry of relief leaving her lips as the pain vanished almost completely.

She felt her body aching badly, her mind spinning, and her throat burning badly. Hot tears fell from her eyes; a cool hand touched her forehead and Spencer felt herself slip from the world one more time.

The next time Spencer woke up, it was quick.

A familiar face leaned over her; wicked green eyes staring intently at her.

Spencer slipped again too quickly; before she could make sense of whom those wicked green eyes belonged.

Spencer regained consciousness again, bundled in fluffy blankets. She blinked groggily; flashbacks of what happened flashing through her eyes quickly. A bucket of cold realization dropped over her; She shot up and realized she was somewhere unfamiliar. The room was built of marble and gold; not the cheap kinds of marble or gold, no, this looked expensive and grand.

Spencer's eyebrows furrowed; her eyes drinking in the expensive but strange decor. Her focus was drawn to the large open balcony window; curtains were drawn to the side and the view that caught Spencer's attention took her breath away. Spencer stumbled out of the bed as her eyes remained on the view outside. As soon as Spencer tried to take a step away from the bed, her legs buckled, and she hit the marbled floor hard.

She gasped and groaned; her hands flying out to keep her from falling face-first into the floor. "What the fuck!" Spencer muttered, confused.

The sound of a door opening got her attention.

Spencer's eyes went to the door and in all of his mighty glory was Thor.

"Thor," Spencer breathed in relief.

Thor was accompanied by a fierce looking woman. "Spencer, what are you doing?" Thor reached for her, easily picked her up, and set her on the bed, "You should not be trying to walk," Thor reprimanded her, kneeling down to check her knees. They were red, but thankfully no scraps.

"Thor," Spencer rubbed her head, "What the hell is going on? Where am I? Why are you here? Is this Asgard?" She shot off questions, panic and anxiety gripping at her tightly.

"Settle," Thor murmured softly before turning to the woman, "Sif, can you inform my father that Spencer has awakened?"

Sif nodded curtly and marched out of the room.

Thor gently reached for Spencer's hands, "What do you last remember, Spencer?" Thor asked her softly.

Spencer eyed Thor, "I was trying to talk to Tony…" Spencer couldn't remember about what for a moment, "Oh, some psycho was trying to unleash more winter soldiers similar to Bucky and... I don't remember after that." Spencer explained with furrowed eyebrows.

Thor leveled with her, "You collapsed,

Spencer stared at Thor, "Collapsed?"

Thor nodded, "I am not sure why, but my father has been watching you since the Battle of New York," Thor began to explain, "He said he sensed a disturbance, didn't really explain it to me, but he noticed something strange with you. The sickness you have been bearing for the last two years was not a sickness," Thor rubbed her hands in a manner meant to comfort her, "You received your powers from the Mind Stone, correct?"

Spencer nodded.

Thor continued, "We're not sure when it happened, but at some point you came in contact with the tesseract, and in that tesseract it housed another infinity stone; the Space stone. These two energies have been raging in a battle for dominance in your body since the Battle of New York. No creature can withstand the energies of two separate stones within their bodies, but somehow your body managed to survive for years, but it slowly eroded your body."

Spencer blinked owlishly at Thor, "How?"

Thor shrugged, "I am not sure, little one, but eventually your body could not handle the two energies, when you collapsed, it was Heimdall who informed my father and I. My father commanded me to bring you to Asgard, so he could remove one of the stones' energies from your body."

"But why?" Spencer asked, confused.

Thor shrugged, "My father does as he pleases, I did not question him, not when it involved you."

Spencer, "How long have I been here?" Spencer asked timidly.

Thor cocked his head to the side, mentally counting, "A few months has passed since I brought you here. My father removed the energy of the Space Stone from your body the same day I brought you here. Your body has been recovering ever since that day, my father often visited to heal your body as good as he was able to, before letting your body heal on its own." Thor informed her.

"What about Steve and Tony? What about Pietro? Do they know?" Spencer asked, her stomach rolling nervously.

"When I was reassured you would not die, I returned to Earth to inform them, but it seems that part of our team have gone rogue, escaped from a prison made for them," Thor carefully told her, gauging her reaction.

Spencer flinched, "I'm guessing things didn't go well after we left," Spencer muttered quietly.

Thor nodded, "Tony has taken care of your dog and Steve's cat and promised to pass word along to your father and Fury. He also told me to apologize on his behalf, things between him and Steve were not resolved amicably despite you trying, he sends his love." Thor told her patiently.

Spencer remained quiet, processing this new information. It was overwhelming for her, but she was trained to quickly adapt to new situations and environments. Spencer looked down at her hands and thought to herself; What happened after Thor took me to Asgard? How did the fight between Tony and Steve end? Did they manage to stop the guy who was trying to unleash the other Winter Soldiers? "Did they stop whoever it was that was trying to unleash the rest of the winter soldiers?" Spencer asked Thor.

Thor nodded his head, "Oh, yes, of course they did. Steve and Tony gave each other a good beating, but they stopped the man responsible."Thor reassured her, getting up to sit beside her now.

"What about Pietro? Did Tony tell you anything about Pietro?" Spencer asked anxiously, gazing up at her friend.

Thor gently grabbed one of her hands with his large one, "Pietro, Wanda, Clint, Scott, and Sam were sent to a prison, in the middle of the ocean," Thor answered, "Steve freed them," Thor cocked his head to the side with a smirk, "It was a rather sad prison, I would be offended to be kept in it,"

Spencer smiled and Thor continued, "Tony wasn't sure where they all went, hasn't bothered to track them down and as for your boyfriend, I am not sure of his whereabouts."

That part hurt Spencer; she felt the tears gather in her eyes as she stared at the hand that Thor wasn't holding; at least they were free and Spencer hoped Wanda and Pietro were together, why wouldn't they be? A part of Spencer felt like she abandoned them and that part felt guilty as hell.

Spencer closed her eyes in agitation, letting her tears run down her solemn face, "When can I go back?" Spencer asked softly.

Thor heaved a sigh, "I do not want to upset you,"

Spencer opened her eyes, noting that the skies out of her balcony were beginning to darken, dark clouds were rolling in. Where had those come from? Thor followed her gaze and a knowing look crossed his face, "It seems that the abilities you had have been altered," Thor kept his eyes on Spencer's face, "I know this because we have fought together many times, but since my father pulled the Space Stone's energy from your body, we have noticed changes in our weather," Thor turned his body to face her, to focus on her more intently, "I came by and sat by your side often," Thor told her and Spencer's heart appreciated the kind gesture, "You had nightmares," Thor continued, "The weather here in Asgard is always the same this time of year, however when you had your nightmares, there would storms and some of them were mighty and once those nightmares passed, the calm weather would follow almost instantly."

Spencer stared at her hands, confused.

"I never had that ability before," Spencer told him.

Thor nodded, "Something altered your powers, I figure from the Space Stone once it was ripped out, or perhaps the trauma of your experience was so severe and damaging that your abilities shifted," Thor shrugged lightly, "I am not sure, but I am sure that you have new abilities, new powers, and with that comes new training."

"If I can't control my emotions or my new abilities, I could potentially kill people," Spencer stated bluntly with understanding. Her heart was hammering in her chest, but thankfully the stormy weather was slowly retreating. The pitter patter of rain rang in Spencer's ears. She stared at her hands, and it was then that she could feel the familiar hum in her fingertips, she reached her hand out and manifested a blade made from electricity; the usual blue hue that she was accustomed to was gone, now it was replaced by a deep hue of purple.

But this blade felt stronger, she could feel the hum as she gripped the blade, feeling the strong pulses resonate with her body. Her body felt stronger, as if the trauma of almost dying reinforced her body and abilities. Spencer glanced at Thor and found him staring at her blade curiously, but his gaze was patient and understanding. At least she had him for the time being, she wasn't alone.

Spencer spun the blade around, offering the handle to the big guy, and Thor reached for it, "It is not blue," He observed clasping his long fingers over the handle, Spencer gauged his reaction, "Yes, it feels stronger…" Thor mused softly, spinning the blade easily, "It's shocking me."

Spencer's eyebrows shot up, "What?"

Thor tilted his head to the side, "It isn't strong enough to hurt me, but it almost feels...defensive?" Thor stared at the blade, the wheels in his head turning.

Spencer furrowed her eyebrows at the blade, "That doesn't make sense?" Spencer was confused; her abilities had never been temperamental?

Thor offered the blade to Spencer, "It does not like me," Thor concluded.

"Thor, it's electricity," Spencer frowned, taking the blade back from Thor and letting it dissolve in her hand, she felt the rush of electricity surge back into her fingertips, "It doesn't have a mind of its own?"

Thor chuckled, "Perhaps it didn't before, but now, it does. Perhaps some testing would help us better understand what has changed within your abilities?" Thor suggested kindly.

Spencer nodded, "I think so, too! I don't want to unintentionally hurt anyone if my abilities have a mind of their own now!" Spencer's eyes were wide and Thor laughed at her expression.

"It did not hurt me, but it certainly did not want me holding the blade," Thor reassured her, "We shall see what my father says and what sort of plan we can come up with to best help you," Thor cocked his head towards the door, "I hear him," Thor tells her, "He's been keen to meet you."

Spencer wasn't sure why the King of Asgard was so eager to meet her, but she did owe this man. He saved her, whatever his reasons were, he had saved her life. Spencer would never forget that. Thor got up just as the doors to her room were opened, the woman that was with Thor earlier came in and a second later did an older man come in. He wasn't as tall as Thor, but Spencer was sure this man had been taller than Thor back in his prime, so she recognized his face immediately.

His hair was white and his blue eye was gentle; in the back of her mind she felt something nagging at her. The wicked green eyes flashed before her eyes; startled Spencer blinked rapidly.

Those eyes belonged to Loki.

"Good evening, my dear," Odin greeted her warmly, "I am glad to find you awake!" Thor offered his father a chair to sit in, Odin took the seat in front of her bedside. He was wearing dark gold robes, his gold eyepatch matching his robes.

He reminded Spencer of a gaudy Santa and the thought made her smile, "Thank you so much for saving my life, King Odin," Spencer bowed her head gratefully to the old king, "I am so grateful."

Odin smiled at her patiently, "How are you feeling, hmm? Your body was in bad shape when you first arrived, now you look healthier and stronger," His tone sounded approving and Spencer felt her cheeks flush.

Meeting a King on Earth paled in comparison to meeting King Odin. Spencer felt her stomach twist nervously and anxiously; part of her was beginning to feel overwhelmed. "My body hasn't felt like this in so long," Spencer admitted softly, "I must admit, I feel a bit overwhelmed." Spencer sheepishly confessed.

Odin smirked, "You are the second human to ever set foot on Asgard, my dear, I am not surprised that you are feeling overwhelmed. You have been through a lot of trauma lately, it is only natural that your mind is trying to protect you and make sense of everything that has occurred."

"Who was the first?" Spencer asked, wide eyed.

Odin looked over his shoulder to look at Thor, the God of Thunder was leaning against the balcony doorway, his expression thoughtful, "Jane," Thor responded softly.

"Oh," Spencer chuckled nervously, "Sorry."

Thor waved it off, "I broke up with her, it's fine."

Almost as a reflex, Spencer gave King Odin a deadpan stare and King Odin was rolling his eyes. It was comical to Spencer that someone who was highly regarded as King Odin was rolling his eyes at his son. It made Spencer feel a little more at ease. "Now," Odin mused leaning back into his chair, "I made the decision to keep you here until you gain better control of your new abilities, I do apologize for making that decision without your consent, but I thought it would be for the best. Here in Asgard, we can monitor you in a safe environment,"

Spencer shook her head, "I understand why you did it, your highness…?" Spencer cocked her head with furrowed eyebrows, "I'm sorry, I'm not sure how to address you?" Spencer was blushing, Thor was smirking in the corner, and the woman that had accompanied Thor earlier, was trying to hide her amusement.

Odin looked amused, "Your Highness is the correct term, my dear."

Spencer relaxed, "Thank you, your highness, I understand the decision you made. The last thing I want to do is hurt anyone unintentionally."

"Well, first we must find a suitable space so you can freely use your new abilities," Odin indulged her patiently, "I'll have Thor and Lady Sif scout the lands for a suitable spot," Odin continued without pause, "We were curious if you would be open for some testing? Just to get a full understanding on what exactly has changed within your body?" Odin asked her, his tone indicating that she had full reign on this.

Spencer nodded eagerly, "Yes, please! I would like to know as well!"

Odin chuckled at her eagerness, "Tomorrow," He reassured her, "Now, my dear, tell me how long has it been since you trained your body?"

"At least half a year," Spencer responded easily.

"Yes, it would best to start building your body's strength back with training," Odin quietly muses, his good eye darting towards Lady Sif, "Once the testing is done, I will have Lady Sif overlook your training," Spencer saw the woman in question sit up straighter, "Is that alright with you, Lady Sif?" Odin asked the woman sweetly.

"Of course, my King," Lady Sif responded swiftly.

Odin nodded in approval, the nagging feeling in the back of Spencer's head wouldn't go away, "We'll start building your body back up, get it used to rigorous training to help you better control your new abilities, perhaps for a month, and then we'll start training your with your abilities, Thor should have another month before he needs to leave," Odin trailed off, deep in thought.

"Wait, Thor's leaving?" Spencer asked with anxiety in her voice.

"I will be leaving to resume my search for the rest of the Infinity Stones," Thor answered her, "I only returned because my father summoned me."

Spencer didn't like the thought of Thor leaving her in a month, alone and friendless in Asgard, but she shook that silliness away. "Hopefully, you'll be able to be home in a few months," Odin reached over and patted her hand gently.

Another flash of Loki's eyes made Spencer's head spin, what the fuck.

Spencer gave a weak smile, "Thank you for being so kind to me, your Highness, I honestly can't thank you enough," Spencer added a small joke, "I don't like being in debt to people, but at least this debt is to a great King."

Odin's laugh shook the room, "I like you, my dear, I hope we can grow to know one another over some tea? Do you like tea?" Odin asks her.

Spencer bobbed her head in eager response; tea with King Odin of Asgard? Heck yeah! Dad is going to be so jealous! Spencer smirked inwardly.

Odin was telling her of the best tea in Asgard, favored by his late wife when a guard came to get the King. Odin left her in the capable hands of Thor and Lady Sif. The sun was setting, and Spencer felt sleepy. Somehow, the months of sleep Spencer got weren't enough for her body.

"Thor?" Spencer called, him and Lady Sif were speaking across the room together.

Thor paused and looked at her, "Yes, Spencer?"

"What happened to Loki?" She asked without beating around the bush.

Lady Sif shot Thor a knowing look and Thor sighed, "He's dead."

Shock covered Spencer's face, "W-What?"

Thor nodded solemnly, "After my mother died protecting Jane, Loki was killed by a dark elf." His voice was full of grief, and Lady Sif gently placed a hand on his shoulder for comfort.

Spencer felt confused; had her mind conjured up seeing Loki?

"I'm so sorry, I didn't know, I wouldn't have asked…" Spencer apologized to her friend.

Thor smiled sadly at her, "The man who killed your father is dead," Thor says softly, "Knowing this, I still mourn his loss."

"I forgave him," Spencer reminded her friend softly, "You have every right to mourn your brother."

Spencer was introduced formally to Lady Sif; the woman was gorgeous and stoic, but Spencer felt honored to be training with her, she was the best according to Thor. Spencer knew Nat would love sparring with Lady Sif. Eventually, after an hour or so of conversing with each other, Lady Sif and Thor left to finish some business.

Leaving Spencer to her thoughts; though Thor reassured her that he would be coming back in an hour to have dinner with her. The young woman couldn't shake the thought of Loki being dead; had she been a more selfish person, she would have rejoiced in his death, but death wasn't something she wished on even the most hated of people.

Spencer decided it was time to explore her room; she was most eager for the balcony. After ten minutes of stretching her legs and fumbling around like a newborn lamb, Spencer was able to walk and stand without much issue. Her room was large, way too big for one person. Her bathroom was huge and grand, of course it was decorated with gold and marble.

Spencer was speechless; never seeing such grandness in her life.

It reminded her that where she was, no other human (besides Jane, of course) had the honor of living this. Spencer was in Asgard as a guest to Thor and Odin, the Allfather. She was honored and grateful. Her nerves were jittery, she was giggling as she went through the large bathroom, eyeing the large and lavish bathtub with envy.

"I am totally using that later," Spencer told herself with a giggle as she continued to go through the whole bathroom, smelling the bottles of what she was assuming was shampoo and conditioners, little vials of scented oils, and even jars of rose petals! It was obvious, whoever stocked this room spared no expense.

Spencer left the bathroom to explore the rest of her room; she went through every nook and cranny, the wardrobe was something she needed to get used to, but thankfully whoever stocked her room didn't fill the dresser with frilly dresses or dresses of any kind.

Thor must've had a hand in picking these clothes; from what Thor had told her of Asgard's culture, women of Asgard didn't often stray from dresses. Spencer spent some time going through the clothing, most of it was too big for her frame. She had lost considerable weight over the last year, it wasn't a surprise. Hopefully training with Lady Sif would build her body back to fit into these clothes. Spencer would pass this along to Thor, for now, she kept on a dark gold gown, the shorts underneath, and the fuzzy slippers that she was definitely taking back to Earth with her.

Spencer found some scraps of paper and some charcoal; perhaps revisiting her fondness for drawing would benefit her here on Asgard. She wanted to capture the beauty of this world to be able to show her friends once she returned home. Yes, that was a good idea. Spencer made her way to the balcony now, and marveled at the beauty that was Asgard.

The air felt light, pure even. Spencer inhaled greedily and exhaled, yes this air was free of pollution. The stormy clouds from her temper earlier were faded now, it was cloudless and sunny. The sun even felt different, not as harsh here on Asgard. The sunlight felt gentle against her skin, sending goosebumps to go up her arms.

The breeze felt cool against the warmth that the sun gave her, the city gleamed before her eyes; in the distance she could see the Bifrost. Her hand twitched, the beauty of Asgard couldn't compare to anything on Earth, couldn't come close to anything there. She wished she could share this experience with someone, but she shook that lonesome thought away. She set her scraps of paper on the ledge; the ledge was wide and smooth, perfect for the task she was doing.

Spencer lost herself in her drawing, she hadn't sketched in so long; she was rusty, but it didn't take her long to get the hang of sketching. Observed in her drawing and inner musings, she didn't hear Thor arriving until Thor came up from behind her and spoke, "I was not aware you had a talent for the arts," Spencer was startled and glared at her friend.

He grinned at her without shame, "May I?" Thor gestured to her drawing.

Spencer pursued her lips and glanced down at her work; it wasn't bad for her first time drawing in years, she shrugged and held out the piece of paper to Thor. The Prince took it eagerly, his eyes immediately scanning the contents of the paper quickly, a smile forming on his face, "You are quite skilled, my friend!" He praised brightly, "I am impressed! How long have you been working on this?" He asked, offering her drawing back.

Spencer tried not to blush under his praise, gathering her scraps of paper and charcoal, before marching back into her room, "I'm not sure," Spencer admitted sheepishly, "I don't exactly have a watch on me."

Thor laughed as Spencer noticed that servants were preparing a small table and their dinner, "I will see about acquiring you one," Thor merrily says as the servants finished setting their table, "Thank you," Thor thanked them, "Go enjoy the rest of your night." Thor dismissed the servants and they didn't need to be told twice.

Spencer sat down and Thor poured her some water, "Do you have an appetite?" Thor asked, sitting down across from her.

Spencer gazed at the luxurious food and her stomach rumbled loudly; she blushed in embarrassment and Thor laughed at her reaction, "Help yourself! I wanted you to enjoy some of my favorite Asgardian food." Thor explained stuffing his face with what looked like buttered bread.

Spencer followed suit, the both of them giggling over how good the food was. Spencer felt more at ease when Thor was with her; she'd missed him when he left for his search for the Infinity Stones. She would enjoy the time she had with him until his departure. Thor talked about his home, openly and merrily, and it made Spencer smile fondly. Thor had someone to share Asgard with and he was happy.

The food was delicious, nothing looked weird to eat. It looked better than Earth Food, to be honest. "How about tomorrow I bring you an easel? I know a lovely artist who sells good quality paints, do you paint? Or would you prefer the charcoal?" Thor questioned, gazing at her curiously.

"Oh, you don't have to-"

"I know, but I want to," Thor cut her off, "I won't be able to be with you all the time, and it could help you keep your mind off your home sickness," Thor suggested kindly to her.

Spencer smiled at her friend brightly, "You know I love you, right?"

Thor looked surprised at her words, "Love is a strong word," Thor told her, looking like he was trying not to blush at her affectionate words.

Spencer smirked, "Has a woman never told you they loved you?" She teased.

Thor glared at her playfully, "Of course!" Thor stated loudly, "Many women have confessed their love to me, but I never returned those affections, I mean, I had Jane, but…" Thor trailed off, a sad look flickering across his face, "I understand why she left me," Thor explained sadly to her, "It was very traumatic what she went through, what she saw, but the only other woman I cared strongly for was my mother," Thor had suffered a lot, Spencer thought to herself, and he's still strong enough to smile and be kind to her.

"You shoulder a lot of burden, hm?" Spencer reached out to pat his hand, "You've been so attentive and caring towards me, and I appreciate it so greatly, but how are you dealing with all of this?" Spencer asked with a worried gaze.

Thor stared at her, surprised by her sudden expression, "I mourned them," Thor said softly as he gazed at my hand on his intently, "Jane is alive, but it wounded my heart when she told me she did not want to be with me any more, it only added salt to my wounds. I lost so much, I could not bear to lose someone else I cared deeply for," Thor's intense eyes met her concerned eyes, "I am grateful for my father, It would have wounded me terribly had I found out that you had died."

"I'm always here for you," Spencer promised him with a smile, "You carry a lot on your shoulders, it's okay to lean on someone and talk about your troubles." Spencer told him in the most respectful and polite way, "After my captivity with HYDRA, it helped talking about what I went through with Nat and Clint."

Thor and Spencer talked late into the night; sharing their adventures and defeats with each other. Eventually, Spencer was dozing off and Thor called it a night, helping her to her bed. Spencer curled under the lush blankets and into the fluffy pillows with a soft sigh; her thoughts wandering to her friends and her family.

She hoped that they weren't in any danger or struggling, she couldn't bear the guilt.

Tomorrow, a new chapter of her life started.
