After getting their school supplies in Diagon Alley, Devon, Harry, Ron, Ginny, Fred, George, and Percy make their way through King's Cross Station with their luggage, wheeling them on trolleys. Arthur and Molly Weasley followed them as they head for the wall between Platforms 9 and 10 so they could get to Platform 9 and 3/4.
"10:58. Come on, come on." Arthur says
"The train will be leaving any moment." Molly says
"Fred, George, Percy, you first." Arthur says
The three Weasley brothers run toward the wall and disappear as they proceed through the magical barrier.
"Okay." Molly says patting Ginny in the back
Ginny moves up and runs toward the wall with her trolley and vanishes through the barrier. Molly and Arthur both move up next, walking hastily toward the wall.
"After you, dear." Arthur says
Molly heads through first with Arthur following behind her as they head on through the magic barrier.
Coming through on the other side, the two Weasley parents meet up with Ginny on Platform 9 and 3/4 and escort her to the Hogwarts Express as the red and black train awaited them, ready for it's departure.
"Come on, Ginny. We'll get you a seat. Hurry." Molly says
After everyone else went through the wall, Devon, Harry, and Ron prepared to head through the magical barrier next.
"Let's go." Harry says
Moving together, the three boys run toward the wall at full speed, bracing themselves for the trip to the other side. But as they reach the wall, instead of going through the magical barrier, they crash into it. Harry and Ron are flung forward over their trolleys and they fall onto the floor. Devon flies over the two trolleys and lands ontop of Harry. For some strange reason, the barrier had sealed itself against them, preventing their passage to Platform 9 and 3/4. The nearby Muggles around them stop and watch as the boys fell over, much to their shock and bewilderment. A station guard walks up to the Keyblade Wielder and two young wizards.
"Oi! What do you three think you're doing?" The guard asks
Devon, Harry, and Ron quickly got up as the guard spoke to them, rubbing their shoulders from the crash.
"Sorry. Lost control of the trolley." Harry says
The guard shook his head, thinking that the boys were crazy, and walks away to tend to his duties elsewhere. Once the guard was gone, Devon, Harry, and Ron look at each other confused as to what just happened.
"Why can't we get through?" Harry asks
"I don't know. The gateway sealed itself for some reason." Ron says feeling the wall with his right-hand
"Devon, is there any way you can get us through with your Keyblade?" Harry asks looking at Devon on his right
"Honestly, Harry, I'm not sure if the Keyblade works like that. Even if I could, there's too many eyes around. The last thing I wanna do is attract more attention onto ourselves." Devon says looking down at his right-hand before glancing at the Muggles around them
Then, the three boys heard the sound of a clock chiming. Looking up at a clock, which was mounted up on the wall behind them, they could see that it was now 11:00.
"The train leaves at exactly 11:00. We missed it." Harry groans
"Well, that's just great." Devon groans throwing his arms to his sides
"Guys, if we can't get through, maybe Mum and Dad can't get back." Ron says looking back at the wall
"Maybe we should just go and wait by the car." Harry says
Ron stares at Harry as he mentioned this. It was almost like he was onto something.
"The car..." Ron says
It was in that moment that Ron got himself an idea. If they couldn't get to Hogwarts by train, perhaps there was another way. A loophole they could use to get around this mysterious obstacle.
Leaving the train station, Devon, Harry, and Ron take the enchanted flying Ford Angelia and they lift off into the skies above London.
"There we go. Now, all we need to do is find the Hogwarts Express." Ron says
"Ron, are you sure you know how to fly this?" Harry asks
"No problem." Ron says shrugging his shoulders with a nervous smile
The Muggles on the streets below noticed the flying car as they went about their daily business, watching the magic vehicle as it soared above them. Most of them believed it was merely a plane and quickly dismissed it, but there were few who held perplexed expressions and thought it was rather strange to see a car flying in the air.
As they flew up into the air, the trio noticed that they were heading toward the clocktower of the station.
"Ron! Watch out!" Devon exclaims
"Aaah!" Ron screams
The red-haired Weasley quickly turns the steering wheel to the left, flying the car around the clocktower, barely missing it.
"Ron, I should tell you. Most Muggles aren't accustomed to seeing a flying car." Harry says
"Uh, right." Ron says
Ron presses a button on the dashboard and the enchanted car turns invisible, blending in with the sky through it's camouflage as it continues it's flight path over the city.
A few hours later into the flight, the flying Ford Angelia was now soaring in the skies above the vast, green, expansive highlands in Scotland. It's camouflage unexpectedly runs out of fuel, surprising the three boys.
"What happened?" Devon asks
Ron presses the button for the Invisibility Booster four times, but the mechanism was unresponsive.
"Oh, no. The Invisibility Booster must be faulty." Ron says
"Well, we should be far out enough where no Muggles can see us, so we probably won't need it at this point." Devon says
"Come on, then, let's go lower. We need to find the train." Harry says
"Okay." Ron says
Taking the car down closer to the ground, the three boys fly down to a long stone bridge over the tall green hills, following over the railroad tracks.
"Alright. Now all we need to do is catch up with the train." Devon says
"We can't be far behind." Ron says
Suddenly, the boys heard a faint train whistle, one that they immediately recognized. They knew that it belonged to the Hogwarts Express.
"Do you hear that?" Harry says
"The train! It's the Hogwarts Express!" Devon exclaims smiling
"We must be getting close." Ron says
As they kept following the railroad tracks, the sound of the train's whistles grew louder by the second. But strangely enough, the Hogwarts Express was nowhere in view infront of them.
"Hold on... If we were catching up to the train, don't you think we would've seen it by now?" Devon asks
"Unless..." Harry says
The three boys shared nervous glances as they turned to face each other. Hedwig looks behind her and her yellow eyes widened. Devon, Harry, and Ron followed the snow owl's gaze and looked behind them over their seats. The Hogwarts Express was right up behind them. Their expressions immediately turned to shock and they let out a scream.
"Aaaaaaaaaah!" Devon, Harry, and Ron scream
Ron put his foot down on the gas as the train gained up on them. Eventually, he turns the steering wheel to the left to fly out of the way of the Hogwarts Express. The flying car goes into an uncontrollable spin as it flies under the bridge, passing through one of it's many arches before rising up into the air. Harry and Ron's screaming continued all throughout this while Devon and Hedwig were being thrown up and down in the backseat from the car spinning.
"Ah! Guh! Ngh! Uh!" Devon grunts as he was thrown around
As the car rises up into the air, the tossing and turning soon causes Harry to fall out of the car with him hanging onto the left-passenger door of the vehicle by his left-hand.
"Harry!" Devon and Ron exclaim
The flying Ford Angelia was tilted over on it's left as Harry clinged onto the door for dear life, hanging right above the train.
"Hang on!" Devon shouts
"Take my hand!" Ron shouts reaching for Harry with his left-hand
Harry looks down as he watches the ground and the Hogwarts Express get further and further away as the flying car rose higher and higher up. Glancing back up at Ron, he reaches with his right-hand to grab his hand, but his grip slips away. This was due to the fact that Ron's hand was moist with sweat from holding onto the steering wheel.
"Hold on!" Ron shouts
"I'm trying. Your hand's all sweaty." Harry says
Devon moves up from the backseat and reaches for Harry with his right-hand.
"Here, Harry! I got you!" Devon shouts
Harry takes hold of Devon's hand and he is pulled up and back into the enchanted vehicle while Ron turns the steering wheel to the right and straightens out the flying car. The three boys
"Heh heh... *Pant*... *Pant*... Well, we found the train." Devon chuckles sheepishly
"Yeah." Ron says panting heavily
The trio continue on with their flight across the highlands as they follow the Hogwarts Express back to Hogwarts from above.
It was now dark as night had come and the moon's pale blue light shined down on the Black Lake, it's waters glistening with light on the surface. The flying Ford Angelia soars over the lake and arrives at it's destination: Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The Keyblade Wielder and two young wizards look up ahead of them and they saw the majestic castle of Hogwarts, appearing as it did on their first time.
"Hogwarts..." Devon says
"Welcome home." Ron says
Devon and Harry both smile as they gaze upon the castle. It felt good to be back at Hogwarts. Suddenly, the moment was ruined as the car's engine seized up and began to shake.
"What's going on now? Devon asks
The enchanted car flies dangerously close to the castle and veers to the left, going past the windows of the Great Hall. Then, it goes into a nosedive, descending down towards the courtyards down below.
"Up! Up!" Harry says
Ron presses his right-foot on the pedals of the car and moves the stick shift to regain control, but nothing he does works.
"Nothing's working!" Ron says
Harry leans over and tries to help Ron with the stick shift as the Ford Angelia continues flying uncontrollably.
Down on the grounds of Hogwarts, the female Unicorn, Alura LightHeart, was enjoying herself to another peaceful night at the magic school as she let out a relaxed sigh. It had been only a year since she first met Devon in the Forbidden Forest and already she missed him. Often she had thought about him, always wondering of where he was in the Universe, and when she would see him again.
She was laying comfortably at the edge of the Forbidden Forest near Hagrid's Hut when she heard a loud noise in the air that caused her to perk her head up. She rose up to her feet and glances up at the night sky. And then, the unicorn saw flying Ford Angelia overhead. Her face was filled with amazement, but it quickly turned to shock when she noticed it was descending down toward the ground. Not only that, it was heading toward a large tree. Whoever was inside the car must be in trouble.
"Oh my!" Alura gasps
Determined to help, Alura gallops toward the school with all speed, keeping her gaze fixed on the Ford Angelia.
In the enchanted car, Harry and Ron were still struggling to maintain control of the vehicle when they noticed that they were heading straight for a large willow tree.
"Up! Up! Mind that tree!" Harry says
Ron takes out his wand and taps it three times hard against the steering wheel, hoping that the car would stop for him.
"Stop! Stop! Stop!" Ron says
On the third tap, the 12" ash-made wand snaps in half with a crack. Ron looks at his now ruined wand with an shocked expression. The three boys looked ahead at the giant tree and they braced themselves for a rough landing.
"Brace yourselves!" Devon exclaims
The Ford Angelia flies into the tree and crashes onto one of it's large, thick branches. Then, the car falls backwards and lands on another branch, finally coming to a stop. Once everything was still, Ron stares at his broken wand with a devastated face as he held it up. The tip of the wand was barely hanging on by a strand of wood, damaged beyond repair.
"My wand... Look at my wand." Ron says
"Be thankful it's not your neck." Harry says
"Yeah. Right?" Devon says
Suddenly, the car shakes with a loud crashing sound, startling Devon, Harry, and Ron, causing them to jump with a start. Something had hit them.
"What's happening?" Ron asks in a squeaky voice
"I don't know." Harry says
Devon, Harry, and Ron look infront of them and they stared through the windshield with shocked expressions. A large, gnarled limb from the tree smashes down on the hood of the car, then another limb pummels the vehicle, and another, and another. This tree was, in fact, alive as it let out a deep growl and it was not happy having been disturbed by the three boys and their car. More boughs bent around and pummeled every inch of the car while the Keyblade Wielder and the two wizards screamed. A long branch, thick as a python, stabs into the car through the rear windshield, barely missing Devon by inches as he jumped with a start.
"Whoa!" Devon exclaims
The branch retracts as three large boughs smash down on the car from above, shattering the glass windows and leaving a huge dent in the roof. A limb hits the Ford Angelia from behind and it knocks the car over the side as it falls forward.
"Aaaaaaah!" Devon, Harry, and Ron scream
The car bounces off the ground and lands on all four tires with a thud. The three boys look up and saw the tree coming down with all it's limbs to crush them with it's entire weight.
"Come on! Go! Go!" Harry says
Ron starts up the car and drives forward to get away from the violent tree. They manage to escape the tree's wrath just as smashes it's limbs down on the ground, missing them by inches. After putting enough distance away from the tree, Ron hits the brakes and stops the car. The trio looks back and watch as the giant tree rises back up in it's upward position. Devon, Harry, and Ron let out a sigh of relief. They were glad that was over.
Before they could even relax, however, the doors of the enchanted car swing open and Harry and Ron are thrown out of their seats. The trunk of the car opens up and the luggage inside are ejected out. Devon was sucked out from the back seat and thrown over to Harry's side, landing on his back. The wizard boy picks him up under his arms and helps him onto his feet.
"Devon! Are you alright?" Harry asks in concern
"I'm okay, Harry." Devon says
Hedwig and Scabbers are ejected from the car and thrown to their owners.
"Whoa! Heads up!" Devon says
Harry catches his snow owl and Ron catches his pet rat.
"Scabbers. You're okay." Ron sighs with relief
Once everything was dumped out of it, the doors of the Ford Angelia shut themselves and the car drives off on its own.
"The car!" Ron exclaims
Harry and Ron set down their animals and they chase after the enchanted vehicle with Devon.
"Does this thing have a mind of it's own or something?" Devon asks
The three boys pursue the car across the grounds until they stop and watch as it drives off into the Forbidden Forest. It's rear red lights visible in the darkness as it goes on for miles, vanishing into the trees of the forest.
"Dad's gonna kill me." Ron says
As they stood there watching the Ford Angelia disappear into the Forbidden Forest, the Keyblade Wielder and two young wizards heard the clip-clop sounds of hoofs. They turned around and saw Alura LightHeart standing at the courtyard tunnel with her white body glowing with light. A joyful expression formed on her face when she saw the three boys, but she was very happy when her eyes laid upon Devon.
"Harry! Ron! Devon!" Alura exclaims happily
"Alura!" Devon exclaims happily
Alura trots over to Devon while he runs over to her. The human and unicorn soon embrace each other in a nice, warm hug. Devon wraps his arms around Alura's neck while she nuzzles his body with her head. The Keyblade Wielder and unicorn separate as Harry and Ron walk up to Devon's side.
"It's so lovely to see you three again." Alura says
"It's great to see you too, Alura." Devon says
"Was that you guys in that flying vehicle?" Alura asks
Devon rubs the back of his head embarrassingly and looks over at Harry and Ron on his left and right as they shared similar expressions.
"Yeah. That was us." Devon says
"It was my dad's car. It took off into the Forbidden Forest." Ron says
The trio glance back at the forest where the car had disappeared into.
"That thing must have a mind of it's own. We had no control over it. We crashed into that large tree back there and-" Devon says
"You three crashed into the Whomping Willow? You're lucky you boys didn't get killed." Alura says
"Whomping Willow? Is that what that thing was called?" Devon asks
"Yes. It's a very dangerous, violent plant. It attacks anything that comes near it. Even me and my sisters know well enough to keep our distance from it." Alura says
"Heh... You don't say." Ron chuckles sheepishly
"Yeah. Talk about a tree that hits back." Devon says
Eventually, during their talk with the female unicorn, Devon soon remembers that they have someplace to be. He got so caught up in his reunion with Alura LightHeart that he almost forgot that he and his two wizard friends were late for the Start-of-Term Feast.
"Oh! Guys, we gotta go!" Devon says
"Right." Harry says
"Sorry we have to leave you, Alura, but we're running a little late. We'll catch up with you later!" Devon says
Devon, Harry, and Ron run back to get their things while Alura watches them go.
"Okay. See you boys then." Alura says
The Keyblade Wielder and two young wizards enter the castle and leave their stuff at the entrance hall.
"See ya, Hedwig." Harry says setting his snow owl down
The three boys began making their way up the stairs of the castle.
"So, a house-elf shows up in my bedroom, we can't get through the barrier to Platform 9 and 3/4, we almost get killed by a tree..." Harry says
"Clearly, someone doesn't want you here this year." Devon says
Just as they reach the top of the stairs, the three boys are met by the castle's caretaker, Mr. Filch as he held his cat, Mrs. Norris in his arms.
"Oh, heh, heh, hey there, Mr. Filch." Devon chuckles sheepishly
"Well, take a good look, lads. This night might be the last you spend in this castle." Filch says
Devon, Harry, and Ron shared nervous glances with each other.
"Oh, dear, we are in trouble." Filch says
Mr. Filch looks at the boys and gives them an unpleasant smile.
Devon, Harry, and Ron were brought down to the dungeons and they stood before their least favorite Hogwarts teacher, Professor Snape, in his office. He held up a newspaper from the Evening Prophet in his right-hand with a rather interesting article on it's front page. This article read: Flying Ford Angelia Mystifies Muggles, and there was a moving picture of the enchanted car flying over London.
"You were seen by no less than seven Muggles." Snape says
The potions master throws the newspaper down on his desk and stares at the boys with a cold, angry expression.
"Do you have any idea how serious this is? You have risked the exposure of our world. Not to mention the damage you inflicted to a Whomping Willow that's been on these grounds since before you were born." Snape says
"Honestly, Professor Snape, I think it did more damage to us." Ron says
"Silence!" Snape yells
Snape rises up from his desk and walks around to the three boys.
"I assure you that were you in Slytherin, and your fate rested with me, the both of you would be on the train home tonight! As it is..." Snape says
"They are not." An elderly voice says
Devon, Harry, and Ron look over at their left and they saw Albus Dumbledore and Professor McGonagall standing at the doorway to Snape's office. Dumbledore was wearing red robes and a pointy hat of the same color while McGonagall wore her emerald green robes and hat.
"Professor Dumbledore. Professor McGonagall." Harry says
The headmaster and Transfiguration teacher walk over to the three boys and potions master. Snape stood up straight and turned to Dumbledore and McGonagall as they approached.
"Headmaster, these boys have flouted the Decree for the Restriction of Underage Wizardry. As such..." Snape says pointing his left-hand accusingly at the three boys
"I'm well aware of our bylaws, Severus, having written quite a few of them myself. However, as head of Gryffindor house, it is for Professor McGonagall to determine the appropriate action." Dumbledore says
Devon steps forward and speaks up to defend Harry and Ron, holding up his index-fingers with both hands.
"Before you make any decisions, Professor, just hear us out." Devon says
The Keyblade Wielder places his left-hand on his chest and gestures his right-hand to newspaper on Snape's desk.
"In our defense, we had good reason for our actions. When we tried to get to Platform 9 and 3/4 and the Hogwarts Express, the barrier sealed itself off, preventing us from reaching the train. Why or how it sealed, we don't know." Devon says
Devon gestures his left-hand to Harry as he continues his explanation.
"Harry thinks that someone doesn't want him here, and I'm with him on that. But since we missed the train, our only other option to get here was to take Ron's father's enchanted car." Devon says
"A likely story." Snape says
"It's true, Professor." Devon says
"We'll go and get our stuff, then." Ron says
Devon, Dumbledore, and McGonagall turned to Ron as he said this.
"What are you talking about, Mr. Weasley?" McGonagall asks
"You're going to expel us, aren't you?" Ron asks
Devon looks over at Professor McGonagall, hoping that she was not actually considering expelling two of his wizard friends.
"Not today, Mr. Weasley." McGonagall says
Harry and Ron both looked at each other and smiled upon hearing this. Devon let out a sigh of relief.
"Well, that's a relief." Devon sighs
"But I must impress on both of you the seriousness of what you have done. I will be writing to your families tonight, and you will both receive detention." McGonagall says
The smiles on the boys' faces quickly went away when they heard this. Harry and Ron looked over at Devon, who just shrugged his shoulders.
"Fair enough. I mean, it beats getting killed by a Whomping Willow, right?" Devon says
"And now, I suggest that we all return to the feast. There is a delicious custard tart that I am quite anxious to taste." Dumbledore says
"Sounds good, Professor." Devon says
With the conversation concluded, Dumbledore and McGonagall leave the room, followed by Professor Snape after a short while. Devon nods his head to Harry and Ron and they nod back as they leave to partake in the Start-of-Term Feast in the Great Hall and prepare themselves for their new year at Hogwarts.
Next day came and Devon starts his morning at Hogwarts with Harry, Ron, and Hermione, participating in their first class: Herbology. The topic of their lesson was Mandrakes. Devon stood next to Harry and Ron on the right-side of the long table while Hermione stood on the other side across from them. Also with them further up along the table on the same side as Hermione was Draco Malfoy along with his two cronies, Crabbe and Goyle. They all wore light tan gardening clothes and brown gloves for their lesson. Infront of them on the table were rows of large flower pots going from one end of the greenhouse to the other. As Devon and the second years got sorted out, the Herbology teacher, Pomona Sprout walks into the greenhouse.
Pomona Sprout was a British/Irish witch who was Head of Hufflepuff House and the Head of the Herbology department at Hogwarts. She was very cheerful, positive, and loyal, but also very professional. The kind witch possessed all the virtues and aspects of Hufflepuff House. It was unknown whether she was a Half-blood or Pure-blood.
She had squat, little body with short, grey, wavy hair. Sprout always had a smile on her face. Her fingernails were usually dirty, more than likely from her teachings in Herbology.
The Herbology Professor wore a patched, battered hat and clothes almost always covered in dirt and earth.
"Good morning, everyone." Sprout greets
Sprout taps her wand five times on a pot infront of her to gain the attention of the students.
"Good morning, everyone." Sprout greets
"Good morning, Professor Sprout." The students greet in unison
"Morning." Devon greets waving his right-hand
"Morning, Devon." Sprout greets
Devon nods his head to the professor.
"Welcome to Greenhouse Three, second years. Now, gather around, everyone." Sprout says
Devon and the students step forward to the table while Professor Sprout picks up a large pot from a separate table behind her and puts it down on the long table with the others.
"Today, we're going to re-pot Mandrakes. Who here can tell me the properties of the Mandrake root?" Sprout says
Hermione raises her left-hand to answer the question.
"Yes, Miss Granger?" Sprout says
"Mandrake, or Mandragora, is used to return those who have been petrified to their original state. It's also quite dangerous. The Mandrake's cry is fatal to anyone who hears it." Hermione explains
"Excellent. Ten points for Gryffindor. Now, as our Mandrakes are still only seedlings, their cries won't kill you yet, but they can knock you out for several hours, which is why each of you have a pair of earmuffs for auditory protection. So could you please put them on right away? Quickly." Sprout says
Devon and the students puts on their grey furry earmuffs, making sure the flaps covered their ears.
"Flaps tight down, and watch me closely." Sprout says
Sprout turns to her pot and grabs the green roots of the plant.
"You grasp your Mandrake firmly. You pull it sharply up out of the pot." Sprout instructs
With a strong pull, she lifts up a small, brown humanoid creature from the pot, which let out an extremely loud, high-pitched squeal that made everyone cover their ears. This was a Mandrake.
"Got it? And..." Sprout says
As the Mandrake continued crying, the Herbology teacher places the creature into an empty pot and puts a couple handfuls of soil with it.
"...now you dunk it down into the other pot and pour a little sprinkling of soil to keep it warm." Sprout instructs
Unable to take the loud sound of the Mandrake's squeals, Neville falls onto the floor and faints. Everyone looks toward him while Professor Sprout sighs.
"Longbottom's been neglecting his earmuffs." Sprout says
"No, ma'am, he's just fainted." Seamus says
"Yes, well, just leave him there. Right, on we go." Sprout says
Leaving Neville where he was, Devon and the students return to their lesson.
"Plenty of pots to go around. Grasp your Mandrake and pull it up." Sprout says
Devon, Harry, Ron, Hermione, and the other students grab hold of their own individual Mandrakes and lifts them up from their pots. The whole greenhouse was filled with loud, high-pitch squeals. Malfoy thought it was amusing to stick his right-index finger in the Mandrake's mouth, but it bit down on his finger. It took him a while, but he pries his finger free. Malfoy looks at the Mandrake in his left-hand with an angry expression and drops the magic sentient plant into an empty pot with the rest of the second years as they went on with the class.
Later that morning, Devon, Harry, Ron, and Hermione sat down to some breakfast in the Great Hall.
As they sat together, the Keyblade Wielder told his wizard and witch friends about his recent adventures since he last left them. The diphtheria epidemic in Nome, Alaska and how he and Balto saved the whole town. His adventures in the Kingdom of Pharaohs and how he, Rick, Evy, and Jonathan stopped the High Priest, Imohtep from spreading his curse to the world. And his most recent adventure with Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Padmé, Ahsoka Tano, and the Jedi that led to the start of the Clone Wars.
Harry, Hermione, Fred, George, Ginny, Neville, Seamus, and the rest of Gryffindor table were fascinated by his stories. Ron listened as well, but he was more concerned about his broken wand.
"So, you and a wolf-dog delivered medicine to an entire town and saved all the sick children?" Harry asks
"Yep. After that, me and Balto were praised as heroes." Devon says
"And you really fought off a cursed undead mummy that came back to life and sucked the life out of three treasure hunters?" Neville asks
Devon's eyes darted to the right and he hissed embarrassingly, rubbing the back of his head as Neville mentioned Imhotep's revival.
"Well, that was kinda our fault, but yeah, me and Rick sent Imhotep back to the Realm of the Dead where he belongs, although we did have help from Evy and Jonathan. And the Medjai, of course, even though they tried to kill us in the first place. It was a bit of a misunderstanding." Devon says
"I actually find the last world you visited, Devon, to be quite fascinating. A world where technology is so far advanced." Hermione says
"Believe me, Hermione. If you seen the things I've seen, your mind would literally explode." Devon says
"And you fought against a whole army of robots?" Ginny asks
"Battle droids? Yeah. It was on a planet called Geonosis during a battle between the Republic and Separatists. It was pretty intense." Devon says
"Wow." Everyone says
Just as Devon finished with his stories, Ron wraps some clear Spellotape around his broken tip of his wand in an attempt to fix it. Once he was finished, he holds his patched up wand with a depressed expression.
"Say it. I'm doomed." Ron says
Devon and Harry looked over at Ron on their right and tried to amuse him.
"You're doomed." Harry says
"It could've been worse." Devon says
"Hi, Harry! Hi, Devon!" A voice greets
Devon and Harry look infront of them and they saw a young wizard standing infront of them on the other side of the table with a camera in his hands. This was Colin Creevey.
Colin Creevey was a British/Irish Muggle-born wizard and a first year student. He had a cheerful personality and was excited about everything that Hogwarts had to offer in terms of magic. He was also a big fan of Devon and Harry.
He had mousy hair and a light skin complexion.
Colin took a picture of Devon and Harry sitting together with his camera. The flash made some students in the neighboring table behind them turn to look at them. Devon blinked his eyes and shook his head from the flash of the camera.
"Man, that's some flash." Devon says
"I'm Colin Creevey. I'm in Gryffindor, too."
"Hi, Colin. Nice to meet you." Harry says
"Nice to meet you, Colin." Devon says
"Say, do you think your friend here could take a photo of us standing together? You know, to prove I've met you." Colin says
"Okay?" Devon says
"It's for my dad. He's a milkman, you know. A Muggle, like all our family's been until me. No one knew all the stuff I could do was magic till I was selected from Hogwarts. Everyone thought I was mental." Colin says
"Imagine that." Ron says smiling
Suddenly, an owl shriek is heard in the hall, causing a dark-skinned Gryffindor student named Dean Thomas to look up.
"Ron, is that your owl?" Dean asks
Everyone follows Dean's gaze as they look up to the windows near the ceiling. Errol comes flying into the Great Hall with a red envelope in it's beak. The great grey owl soars down to Gryffindor's table and crashes into a bowl of crisps, landing on it's back. Devon, Harry, Ron, and Hermione jump back with a start while Malfoy, Crabbe, Goyle, and several students from Slytherin table laughed.
"Bloody bird's a menace." Ron groans
Ron takes the envelope from Errol's beak and examines it while the owl stands back up and flies away. Once he saw who it was from, his face turned pale.
"Oh, no." Ron whimpers with a terrified look
"What is it?" Devon asks
"Look, everyone. Weasley's got himself a Howler." Seamus teases
A few students from Gryffindor laughed while everyone else remained silent.
"A Howler?" Devon asks
"Go on, Ron. I received one from my gran once. It was horrible." Neville says
"What happened?" Devon asks looking over at Neville
"Well, I ignored it for so long, it got so hot, it exploded and burst into flames." Neville says
Everyone turns back to Ron as he hesitantly turns to his Howler. He slowly opens up the envelope and was about to pull the letter out from inside when a loud voice shouts from the letter.
"Ronald Weasley!" A female voice shouts in an angry voice
Ron quickly drops the letter onto the table as he heard the voice. It sounded like his mother. Then, everyone watches as the letter floats in the air and morphs into a mouth, shouting it's message to Ron in Molly Weasley's voice.
"How dare you steal that car! I am absolute disgusted! Your father is now facing an inquiry at work, and it's entirely your fault! If you put another toe out of line, we'll bring you straight home!" The Howler shouts flying right up to Ron's face
Ron nods his head in understanding.
"Oh, and, Ginny, dear, congratulations on making Gryffindor. Your father and I are so proud." The Howler says
Everyone looks over at Ginny as she sat further down the table and she blushed a bit. The Howler turns back to Ron and blows a raspberry at him, then shreds itself to pieces. Ron stares at the torn up letter, panting for breath. Devon himself was staring at the remains of the Howler, still stunned by what he had seen. And all he could say was...
"Wow." Devon says
Later that day, Devon, Harry, Ron, and Hermione went onto their next class: Defense Against The Dark Arts in Classroom 3C, located on the third floor of the castle.
The classroom had an iron chandelier hanging from the ceiling, as well as a dragon's skeleton. Several desks and tables were set in the room and there sets of large windows.
The room had several decoration changes over the years, but this year it was spanning with lots of pictures of Gilderoy Lockhart, including a large one in the back of the room where Lockhart, as a artist, painted a picture of himself.
The teacher in charge of the class was none other than the celebrity wizard himself, who stepped out of his office at the top of a stairway to the right, now wearing gold robes and clothing as he greeted the class with a charming smile.
"Let me introduce you to your new Defense Against The Dark Arts teacher... me." Lockhart says
Walking down the stairs, Lockhart continues with his introduction.
"Gilderoy Lockhart, Order of Merlin, Third Class, Honorary Member of the Dark Force Defense League, and five-time winner of Witch Weekly's Most Charming Smile Award..."
Lockhart stops at one point on the stairs and looks up at the large painting, admiring himself. Then, he walks over to a long desk at the bottom of the stairs and leans against it with his left-hand.
"...but I don't talk about that. I didn't get rid of the Bandon Banshee by smiling at her!" Lockhart says
The teacher chuckled for a moment before he focuses back on his lesson for the students.
"Now, be warned." Lockhart says
The celebrity wizard takes out his wand, which was 9", made of cherry wood with a dragon heartstring core, and walks up to a cage on his right, covered by a red curtain.
"It is my job to arm you against the foulest creatures known to wizardkind." Lockhart says
Lockhart taps his wand once on the cage and it starts to shake and rattle.
"You may find yourselves facing your worst fears in this room. Know only that no harm can befall you whilst I am here. I must ask you not to scream." Lockhart says
The celebrity wizard switches his wand over to his left-hand and reaches for the curtain.
"It might provoke them!" Lockhart says
Lockhart pulls back on the curtain and reveals what was inside the cage. Fluttering around inside were small pixie creatures.
Pixies were magical creatures that reveled in eight inches high with electric blue skin, black eyes, pointed faces, long ears, wings on their backs, tridactyl hands, and two-toed feet. These magical creatures reveled in mischief and they had shrill, squeaky voices.
Devon raised his right-eyebrow when he saw the pixies in the cage.
"Really? How could these creatures possibly be dangerous?" Devon asks in his thoughts
The pixies seemed to be harmless enough, given their tiny size. If anything, they were likely to cause mischief rather than harm. But if there was one thing he knew, it was never to underestimate any sort of creature, regardless of their size or how harmless they seemed. He remembered back on Berk when he first saw the Terrible Terror in the training arena back when the vikings fought the dragons. It was small, sure, but it was fierce despite how cute it looked. Seamus, however, didn't seem to share his way of thinking.
"Cornish Pixies?" Seamus says
"Freshly caught Cornish Pixies." Lockhart says
Seamus laughs.
"Laugh if you will, Mr. Finnegan, but pixies can be devilishly tricky little blighters. Let's see what you make of them." Lockhart says
Lockhart pulls open the small door of the cage and releases the pixies into the classroom. The small creatures flutter about in the room while Devon and the students immediately jump from their seats and used their books to defend themselves rather than their wands.
"Come on, now. Round them up, round them up! They're only pixies!" Lockhart says
Some pixies attacked the Keyblade Wielder and the students while the rest made mischief wherever they could, tearing pages out of books, throwing them, and making an overall mess of the classroom. Two pixies fly up to Neville and grab him by his ears. Despite their tiny size, they were incredibly strong as they picked the Gryffindor student up and lifted him into the air. The pixies soon drop Neville onto the iron chandelier and leave him hanging there by the back of his robes.
"Please, get me down!" Neville says
Most of the students in the classroom ran out into the corridor to escape the pixies while the Keyblade Wielder, the Wizarding Trio, and the celebrity wizard were left to deal with them. Devon, Harry, and Ron grab their books and try to whack the pixies away as they flew around them. One pixie grabs hold of Hermione's hair and tries to pull her away.
"Get off me!" Hermione says
"Hermione! Stop! Hold still!" Harry says
Harry takes the book in his hand and whacks the pixie away. Devon whacks a pixie away with his book, but then another pixie flies up to him and grabs his Kingdom Hearts necklace, his mother's precious gift, pulling it by the crystal heart-shaped emblem.
"Gaaah!" Devon exclaims
The yank on his chain caught Devon off guard and he dropped his book on the floor. Devon looked infront of him and saw the tiny pixie trying to snatch his necklace from him.
"Hey! Get your small hands off my necklace!" Devon says
Devon pulls away from the pixie and was surprised by how strong it was. No matter how hard he tried to take his necklace back, the pixie's grip on it was tight. The Keyblade Wielder looked around for any nearby objects he could use against the pixie. Looking on his right, he saw one of Hermione's book still sitting on the double desk. Still holding onto the chain of his necklace, he went to reach for it with his right-hand. Eventually, he grabs the book and whacks the pixie with it, freeing his necklace from it's grip.
Feeling that it was time to step in and lend a hand, Lockhart brandishes his wand and waves it around to capture the pixies and return them to their cage.
"Peskipiksi Pesternomi!" Lockhart says waving his wand four times
Just as Lockhart barely finished his incantation on the fourth wave, a pixie swoops in and snatches his wand from his right-hand. Using his wand, the magical creature flies up to the dragon skeleton hanging from the ceiling and disconnects it from the chain that held it up. Another pixie rides the skeleton like a cowboy on a horse as it falls.
"Yeeeeehah!" The pixie on the skeleton says
The dragon skeleton drops onto the floor and falls to pieces. Lockhart runs up the stairs to his office and grabs hold of a picture of himself as two pixies fly away with it. He wrestles with the mischievous creatures until they wrest it from his grip. Unable to do anything else without his wand, the celebrity wizard turns to Devon and the Wizarding Trio.
"I'll ask you four to just nip the rest of them back into their cage." Lockhart says
Having said that, Lockhart runs into his office and shuts the door closed while Devon and the students were left to deal with the pixies.
"What do we do now?" Ron asks
"I got this!" Devon says
Stretching his right-hand up, Devon summons his Keyblade: Soul Calibur and uses a spell to stop the pixies.
"Stopga!" Devon says
A blue light shines from the tip of the crystal Keyblade and engulfs the whole classroom in light accompanied by a loud booming sound. In an instant, all the pixies in the room froze up and floated about in the air. The light dims down and Harry, Ron, Hermione watched in amazement. Devon let out a sigh of relief and de-summoned his Keyblade.
"Bloody hell..." Ron says
"Amazing." Hermione says
"That was brilliant, Devon." Harry says patting Devon's left-shoulder
"Thanks." Devon says
Still hanging from the chandelier, Neville looks around at the immobilized pixies, then looks down at the Keyblade Wielder and the Wizarding Trio.
"Why is it always me?" Neville groans
Devon glances down at his Kingdom Hearts necklace
"Well, if there's one thing we've learned from this lesson: Never let Pixies loose." Devon says
Harry, Ron, and Hermione nod in agreement.
Author's Note: Time for Year 2 at Hogwarts! Devon travels back to the magic school with Harry and Ron, taking the flying Ford Angelia, and they have a rough encounter with the Whomping Willow. Then, our heroes begin with their classes in Hogwarts. First, Herbology with Mandrakes. Then, Defense Against The Dark Arts with Gilderoy Lockhart on Cornish Pixies. The lesson gets a bit out of hand, but no worries, Devon has it handled. So far, there's no trouble at the magic school. But soon, the darkness will creep back into Hogwarts. When will it strike? And how? Now, after going over the list of voice actresses given to me, I've picked out one that I believe is best suited for Alura. It was a tough decision, but I feel that Lily James would be perfect for her. So, for voice reference: Alura LightHeart shall be voiced by Lily James, who portrayed as Cinderella from Cinderella (2015). And also, anonymous (guest), we're still a long ways off from Rise of Skywalker. There's no developments on that yet, and I don't think Devon will be a part of that... for now, at least. But don't worry. It's not out of the question. Anyway, let me know what you guys think. No flames please. Hope you guys like and don't forget to review!
