Hello, my viewers. As you all know, Hans is the current villain right now, and Elsa & her people are his minions by force of his dark magic. And to make it worse, I am planning to have his brothers involved as well, but they aren't human nor furred beasts for Hans wanted to punish them for calling him weak, isolating him from having friends, beating him, etc. And yes, the Stabbington Twins is part of the family too.
On the good side, there's going to be quite the surprise this chapter which I am sure most of you have predicted it to be. So, you can say there's going to be action either way. Please enjoy, my dear viewers! Ta-ta! -Traveler.
(Jasmine's P.O.V.) -The next day-
We spent perhaps a couple of hours traveling over the ridges of the river, and then I saw it close up. Arendelle Village. The hairs on the back of my neck couldn't back down for I feel eyes watching, but I couldn't see them...The small area of forest isn't helping any matters at all, for the sun's hiding behind the mountains still even after dawn, and I was much more wary especially when Emma spoke lightly.
"This has happened before, soldiers, so keep your guard up, and watch each other's backs, understand?", she commanded the others. I never heard Logan sound so cautious yet determined before when he responded to her command, and I glanced to see Adam moving closer to stay at Pippa's side. Much to everyone's horror, Pippa is still too weak to transform into her dragon form, and I believe her fully due to her still bandaged wounds on her body.
The monsters' claws and bites are quite the exception to truly injure a dragon, and even between forms, the wounds remain the same on Pippa, and Haku told us all that in normal situations, a dragon can heal quite fast under 12 hours or less, but right now, he fears that the healing from the attack plus today's possible situation would have to wait for a week or less.
Luckily, Pippa is stubborn, and she compromised by standing back with Adam, having a couple of guns and crossbows, and she commented that she has a feeling that Logan would possibly surprise us with his dragon form today, which has given me more confidence to face what's coming.
From the looks of our location, we are somewhere of the eastern-south boundary of Arendelle Village. Just before us is several hillsides with the dirt road curving around those hillsides left and right, all the way down to the edge of the first couple houses, and through Arendelle Village.
It was perhaps by the second turn of the road when we heard thumping sounds, and we kept close to each other as we saw a figure in the shadows coming closer from the woods. When the figure walked out in full sight, I instantly felt the magic, dark magic emitting from a man, a ginger redhead with sideburns, and cold green eyes, clothed in black and red.
I searched for the source of the dark magic, and soon, I found it upon a thick gold ring with a glossy, deep black gemstone. I can tell that this man has disfigured the powerful relic of magic, and I can see faint glowing lines of deep blue from the gemstone to whatever's hiding in the shadows behind him, gold eyes and white eyes glinting sharply and dangerously.
I watched him carefully as I gripped my sword firmly, glad to have a belt of holstered knives and pistols when needed. His silky, distorted voice seemed to echo through the air, "Well, well, so this is the group my beasts failed to dispose of, and I can sense great power within one, no, two of you. Yes, such delicious power I can use.".
Emma spoke firmly, "You shall not rule no more, Hans. I heard the very story of Queen Elsa and her sister, Anna, and how they ousted you. We all came to destroy your tyranny, Hans, and bring the kingdom back to the rightful heir, Queen Elsa.".
The named man, Hans laughed lowly, "This pathetic group? My beasts are far more than your numbers. After all, 15 vs 100 doesn't seem fair, does it? But, say, perhaps you may have more of a fair chance if my guards fight all of you. Yes, 6 giant guards would even the odds...", chuckling lightly, and I can see his ring shimmering and flashing as I hear the thumping sounds again, getting closer and closer when I see the glinting white eyes becoming more visible.
In the dull daylight shade, I then saw them, exhaling in shock and horror. They are tall as Pippa's dragon form when down on all fours, and wide as the tree trunks of the forest. Black stone formed around their bodies with glowing blue lines and markings, and horns or spikes on their heads/shoulders. (Imagine a mix of Bular, Draal, and Troll Monster Jim from Trollhunters/Wizards on Netflix)
All of them has scars all over, but there is two particular ones that stood out to me; one that ran across a cheekbone to the jaw, and one that went across the left eye. The owners of those very scars look so similar that I thought they must be twins, and their glares gave me shivers.
Logan shifted a bit closer, partially covering me from sight, his tense shoulders up and high as he held his two swords, and I knew he isn't allowing me to go out beyond his sight, but I don't blame him at all since he gave the confession of his nightmare and trials.
Hans breathed lowly, "Attack.", and the word spurred the giants forward, lifting up clubs and hammers I hadn't noticed until now, and it was all a blur around in the vicinity as I and Logan fought one of the giants with Grumpy's help here and there.
The giant was slightly less scary than the scarred ones, but he was viciously strong, and I felt my sword bending under his hands every time I attempted to strike at him. Finally, my sword broke in half by the stress of one more crack under the giant's hands, and I attempted to draw out a couple of knives, striving to hit the knee from behind, but to my horror, the stone is literally everywhere, dulling and cracking my knives.
I vaguely noticed that Logan and Grumpy has similar trouble as well, seeing Logan finally draw out his sniper rifle, and I remembered his rules, specifically one very important that he has stressed while describing his military past. Do not engage until absolutely necessary.
His sniper rifle is part of that rule, and having to draw it out in the middle of battle, it's extremely serious, and I knew I had to follow him, taking out my pair of pistols, almost sad at the fact that the ammo in this battle will be used up, and we will have less and less weapons of Logan's world for quite a few previous rifles, pistols, and shotguns has been melted in campfires thanks to the damage in the previous battles and that the ammo is decreasing fast too.
Anyhow, the giant is still going strong through I can tell that he's slightly wearing out, and Logan went first, shooting off at the giant, clipping a shoulder, and the giant turned to face him when I shot for the neck, the bullets reshooting off the stone, but the action earned him to switch glares between us, walking closer with annoyance and fury in his aura and eyes.
I then shot off again, aiming for the mouth, when I realized that the wind carried it slightly over to the eyes, a bullet actually gorging out a eye, hearing a roar of anger and pain as his arm grabbed at it for a moment, glaring at me angrily, and I was shocked that I actually got a bullet through the stone armour when I saw his other arm going for me.
I tried to dodge it, aiming high with my pistols again, but it was hard and fast, catching me off my feet and cracking something in my side as I yelled out, and I tried to regain my balance, growing more shocked when I couldn't grasp at the rocks that came into my sight, screaming out, "LOGAN!", realizing that I was falling off a ridge I was unconsciously traipsing upon the edge of.
I heard a gunshot, a roar, and I then saw Logan at the edge of the ridge, looking over, hearing him scream for me, "NO, JASMINE!", seeing him then jump after me. I gasped in shock and horror. What's he doing?!
I then hear the strum of a familiar sensation, a voice apparently shouting at Logan. You can do this, Logan! Go get your mate! I stared in shock as I reached out for him unconsciously, and I saw his body glow purple, his eyes looking at me intensely even when we are many feet apart, and he mouthed something I wished to hear.
I then feel the sensation of power, the warm, confident kind, and I then had to close my eyes as his body glowed far brighter, and then suddenly, the second biggest roar I ever heard next to Pippa, and with a snap of my eyes widening open, realizing that he has found it, his dragon form, my breath escaping me in amazement as I saw him approaching me.
He flew under me, my hands and legs scrambling over for balance as I grabbed into his sleek black neck. I was amazed at the power of his huge wings, almost all black with purple on the borders, and his body felt long and smooth as I laid across his back, glancing back to see the tail perfectly aligning when the wind changes.
He's shaped like a salamander, a unique lizard I read about in a few animal books, except with the addition of wings, ear nubs, and of course, the color of black. He glanced back at me, checking on me with a gummy smile, relief and love in his one human feature, his beloved light brown eyes.
I breathed softly, "You saved me, Logan.". Logan purred so loud that I can feel the vibrations through his body and through mine, and I smiled widely as he gave out a roar of triumph as he flew upwards, heading back to the road and the ridge where the giants and our friends is staring in shock, frozen, and I can see Hans nearby.
I hear a growl, and I then feel a familiar sensation of magic, seemingly telling me to hold on, and I saw his mouth opening as I held on, and suddenly, a blast of blue-purple fire came out, hitting one of the giants in one complete shot, shattering to the ground.
Our friends then cheered, calling out in triumph as Logan turned his glare at the rest of the giants, seeing that the one we previously fought is down already, the eyes gouged out by bullets. Logan pulled a grin, seeing the gleam of teeth as I looked past his head, and I then knew he's on extreme soldier mode.
I held on as he went to destroy the other four giants as we came closer and closer, and just as he finished with the last giant, we landed, and our friends surrounded us, cheering loudly as they helped me off, and Logan then glared at Hans.
Hans snarled angrily, "You won't get me! Minions, attack!", and the familiar wolf-like beasts slinked out of the shadows, growling lightly, getting closer when out of nowhere, the spines on Logan's back pricked up and glowed purple-blue.
Logan leaped out in front of us, giving out a roar of something I didn't recognize until Pippa breathed, "He's challenging them!". The wolf-like beasts seemed to stop at a growl by the leader of the pack, and gave barks, yips, and growls at Logan, and Logan gave the same roar with a hint of something else.
Pippa laughed softly, "He's giving them a choice.", and I widened my eyes when I realized that by having the same ability of being dragons, Pippa can understand Logan, and I watched the leader of the beasts growling at Logan with a nod, chuffing sharply at her pack, and her pack slinked back, leaving Hans alone in the clear.
Confused and shocked, Hans screamed angrily, "What are you doing, you mangy dogs?! I said, attack them!", seeing his ring shimmer madly, the tendrils of the magic hitting the pack, and the pack actually yelped out in pain, crying out, and I saw Logan arch his back, his wings at full size, his spine glowing very, very bright purple-blue, hearing the rumble in his voice.
Pippa smirked, "You've done it. You pissed off a very powerful dragon, and a Night Fury at that.", and I blinked at the term in confusion when Logan's jaws widened, glowing purple-blue, and less than a second, he fired, straight at the hand that held the malicious, dangerous relic of magic, actually shearing off at the wrist, hearing Hans's scream of agony a second before Logan's biggest roar came out, ending with a snort of disdain.
Hans fainted at the sight of his lost hand, bleeding and burned, the ring a molten mess, and the tendrils I can see is actually disappearing into nothing, and I hear howls of surprise as I saw the magic swirling around the beasts, and with a simultaneous flash of white, the beasts changed. And to think that this day has barely began during all of this.
