Lily woke up much latter in the evening in a warm bed that she didn't recognize. The room was dark, but comforting. It took her a moment to realize she was in Jasper's room. Then, the rest of the day rushed back to her memory, not that it had been that eventful.
Stretching to work some of the knots out of her muscles, Lily decided to see where everyone was. She knew that any of the vampires in the house would already know she was awake, but appreciated that they gave her space to take care of her human needs.
She eventually left Jasper's room, walking through the hallway to see Rose standing outside Edward's room looking pensive. She turned her head to face Lily as she approached.
"Rose, you ok? You look…. Well gorgeous but worried. Whats up?" Lily asked, concerned for her friend.
Rose looked contemplative before sighing. "I need to talk to Bella about something serious, but I don't know how to get through to her. She thinks becoming a vampire is this amazing thing. I know she thinks I'm just a bitch, but there is so much about our world that she doesn't understand. To be honest you've been pretty sheltered too. But at least you aren't trying to throw your life away like she is." Rose paused, closed her eyes, and her lower lip trembled slight.
Lily had never seen her friend so distraught before. Unusually Rose was sarcastic and witty. She was incredibly intelligent and loyal to her family and those she loved. Plus, she was a whiz is the garage with all cars. To see her friend so visibly distraught was disturbing to Lily.
She quickly came towards Rose and hugged her tightly, knowing that whatever it was that was bothering her friend that she needed support.
Rose was startled by the sudden contact. Lily rarely touched anyone and flinched if people moved too quickly around her or spoke too loudly. But, she recovered enough to hug the short girl back.
Rose whispered a quiet thank you before releasing her friend. "Would you help me talk to Bella about something? I need to tell you too but to be honest it would be easier just talking about it once. Having you there would really help."
"Of course Rose, I'm always here for you. We have that deal remember? Plus, I don't want salt in my plants." This got Rose to laugh for a moment before knocking on Edward's door.
Bella shouted for Alice to go away before she realized it was Rosalie and Lily.
"Can we come in?"
