Chapter 41: planning
(Narrator POV)
After weeks of working things out, and developing a schedule for the entire family, Edgar and Olivia were back on the same page. Davion had moved in with them which actually helped Olivia a lot. He was always there to help with the twins, playing outside with Noah, she doesn't know why she was so worried about adding him to the family. He caused absolutely no trouble at all. Even though they aren't perfect, everything seemed like it.
But now that they were solid again they really needed to finish planning their wedding which now is no longer on December 30th. They had to completely reschedule a time slot, send out new invitations, book catering, and neither one of them had their tux or dress. But it had to be done for the sake of their relationship.
Early morning on November 1 just two weeks before Olivia was set to go back to work, while the kids were at school and watching the twins, they sat down to try to get this wedding business out the way. Well the basics anyway, La'Mai said she'd do the rest. "So what date?" Edgar asked her after all the wedding event is for the woman the actual commitment Is all the man truly cares about.
"I mean how far do we want to push this thing back? I want to have it sooner than later."
"Honey, I asked what date. So just say the date. It's whatever you want."
"Well you're getting married too!"
"If I had it my way I'd marry you right now but I know you really want a nice wedding so that's what we'll do. It's your day!"
"Fine January 23rd."
"Something else is going on that day."
"What?" He gave her a look like you don't remember face. "Oh shoot, I'm sorry honey. I forgot for just a second that it's your birthday." They laughed. "How about Valentine's Day? It's one of the available dates on a Sunday and I just want it to still be snowing, so our pictures look magical!" She emphasized. Edgar made a funny face. "What? I didn't have a childhood, all I could do was dream and this is what I dreamed of."
She smiled.
"And that's all I want is for you to have a magical day. I just think it's cute how your eyes twinkle and you light up every time you talk about it. Valentine's Day it is."
"Colors?"
"Royal Blue and Gold? Bright red, Black, and White? Or switch the primary colors?"
"Definitely red, black, and white."
"Foo-"
"Don't even worry about that I already got that covered."
"But we just finalized the second date."
"Trust me, we will have food at the reception covered. Who are your bridesmaids?"
"Who else would it be: La'Mai, Morgan, Kat, and Amanda. Who are your groomsmen?"
"Christian, Kevin, You remember my cousin Raejay, and Fin."
"We need to make sure that the reds match, and that you men where the same thing."
"Yes ma'am." Edgar got up to check up on the twins they had been put down for a nap about two hours ago. Olivia made a phone call to book their wedding date. Upstairs Karter and West were up, fiddling and giggling. "What's so funny!" Edgar tickled them. "It's because you know it's time to eat!" They had grown so much over these three months, Karter weighing 14.6 ounces and West 14.9 pounds! He picked both of them up, took them downstairs, placed them in their high chairs. Olivia was still on the phone talking, so he fed both babies. Such happy babies, laughed the whole time Edgar fed them.
After about 15 minutes Olivia was off the phone and both parents were burping their kids. It was time for tummy time, this is usually when Edgar is most interactive with them, getting on the floor, playing all kinds of games. "Hey baby?" He yelled so Olivia could hear him from the other room.
"Yeah!"
"When I go pick up the kids from school, I'm gonna take them with me just to get them out for a while. That alright?"
"Yeah, that's fine. Can you drop me off at the station after you pick Noah up and before you pick D up?" They still hadn't gotten a car that could fit all 6 of them yet.
"Ye- Oh my Gosh! Olivia! Come here!" She ran from Noah's room upstairs.
"What?!"
"Okay West show mommy. Come on you can do it." He encouraged and he rolled over onto his back he got himself on his side gravity did the rest. Edgar lifted him up.
"Good job West!" Olivia was amazed at his progress.
"My little man!" With all the attention on West, Karter became fussy. Olivia tended to his need of comfort as they got ready to pick up the kids. "Can you grab those package from outside?"
"What is all of this?" She walked in with 7 rather large packages all addresses to Edgar.
"You're not the only one who can shop for them." He smirked. He quickly starts to open the boxes as Olivia watch closely. Edgar pulled out 10 little boxes of shoes, 4 infant sets of clothes, 2 little jean jackets, 4 pairs of Nike sweatpants, and two obvious church outfits. And besides their clothes there were some picture frames.
"What are all of the picture frames for?"
"Family pictures!"
"And when will we be taking them?"
"Next week- sorry I forgot to tell you. I know you wanted pictures so I scheduled them."
"That's a lot of money between pictures, outfits, and the wedding."
"Don't worry about the money, and the beautiful thing about it is we already have all the clothes and shoes we need." He waved the new shoe boxes. He got the twins the infant and for when they got bigger sizes of the Jordan Olivia got them for Christmas last year. And it was even better because Davion had the same pair as well. "But if you do want to buy some more clothes. For part of the photo shoot we're wearing red and black, then cream/off white and jeans, and royal blue and Black."
"You couldn't make up your mind could you." She knew Edgar. He laughed and nodded his head. "We gotta get going, show me all this stuff when I get back home tonight."
One week later...
The family rushed out the house in two separate cars with all their clothes, shoes and makeup for the leading lady. Their first site was just a building in front of a white background. First colors were royal blue and black. Since as always Olivia was trying to perfect her makeup the boys were all ready. Edgar took Karter, Davion picked up West, and Noah stood on the white block in between Edgar and D. After a few pictures Karter was over the camera flashing so Olivia took both twins. Edgar, D, and Noah took some pictures. Finally Olivia was ready they quickly got in two good pictures with the twins before they became fussy. "Okay how about some pictures of just mom and dad guys." The photographer directed.
Once Olivia and Edgar choose the ones they liked most the changed in to their matching outfits and took it in front of the building. "Can we take a break? My face is gonna get stuck if I smile anymore." Noah exaggerated
Edgar and Olivia laughed.
"Same. I'm hungry too." Davion added.
"Why didn't you guys eat at the house?"
"Uhh maybe it's because someone," they emphasized someone, "told us we didn't have to be ready until 2 but got the time messed up and had us rushing." Davion jokingly said.
"You guys still had enough time to get food... we have to be quick because Karter and West are gonna need a nap soon."
"Chick-fil-A!" The both said in unison. Olivia rolled her eyes. They didn't eat fast food much since the expansion of their family but every time they did it was at Chick-fil-A.
"You guys better hope there's one close." Edgar grabbed both carriers, handed on to Davion.
"Honey I can take one." Olivia offered.
"It's alright Liv, I got it." Davion said.
"Would guys just come on!" Noah yelled to the people far behind him. The family of 6 quickly got food, headed back quickly took pictures, the family favorite being outside on the trail holding hands. It would definitely be the one on the thanksgiving card. "Can we go home now mommy?"
"We're going Noah we just have to get all our clothes first. Just hold on one second sweetie." Edgar took both babies to his car, Olivia, Noah, and Davion went home to take a nap. Edgar had an appointment at the dealership to find a car suitable to his ever growing family, it's need to have at least 7 seats. Edgar and Olivia both wanted a baby girl, they said they'd try for one after they got married but right now they were focused on the many children that they have. Thankfully the twins were exhausted and slept the entire time. Black was always a good option it was between a Chevy Tahoe or a Cadillac Escalade. But the car they wanted the only color they had was pearl white which was fine but black would be great. A decision needed to be made soon cause two cars everywhere they went wasn't working for them.
He called to see what Olivia thought but the calls went straight to voicemail. He decided to bring her to the car dealership tomorrow.
At home everyone was sleep, he crept up the stairs placing Karter and Westley in their separate cribs heading down stairs to his own room to find Olivia beautifully sleeping. As soon as Edgar got in bed behind her she rolled over so that her face was cuddled into his chest. "All the kids are asleep." He said with a deep sexy tone. "I have missed being able to make love to my sexy fiancé and I promised her when I had the chance I'd never stop." He kissed her neck. Olivia wasn't sleep she simply was enjoying Edgar
Touching and loving on her body. She moaned out in pleasure. "That feel nice baby?"
"Shhhhhh." She put her index finger in his lips. "You're talking too much. We don't have much time." She kissed him tenderly. Edgar stripped Olivia of her clothing giving every inch of her body attention. "Wait! What if I get pregnant again?"
"Would it be such a bad thing?"
"No I just thought we were gonna wait until we got married to have another baby. Your pullout game is weak."
"No it's not."
"Okay if it's not then explain how we had sex twice and I got pregnant both times... exactly. Weak!"
"Well maybe it's because your..."He kissed her clit causing her to moan loudly. "Is so damn good. I can't help myself." Edgar positioned himself in her. "Still so tight." He started moving slowly taking his time with her. They definitely needed the kids to go to their grandparents for just a weekend just so they could have a little time together. With no possible interruptions. After reaching their climax they took a shower together. Probably the most loving and intimate time they've had together in a while.
Out of the shower... Edgar and Olivia cuddled on the Living room couch. "Next week is thanksgiving and this year it's at my parents. So it's up to you do you want to stay for that weekend. I know you have to be back at work starting Sunday, but we typically stay and go to church that Sunday. I know you're not the most religious person."
"I'll talk to Garland. He's already going so I'll see what I can do. We have to take separate cars anyway so we take both SUVs that way I'll still have my car and you have enough space for the kids."
"Okay, enough talking I just wanna sit back with my girl and fall asleep on the couch." Edgar and Olivia did just that, knowing one of the babies would wake up in a little bit.
A/N: just a filler chapter for the next!
