Kenickie's POV
The guys' and mine folks wanted to have an open house at the same time for us fellas. Hey, we're a huge family. Anyway the guys and I were greeting our guests. "Ladies and gentlemen!" We heard my dad announced as we turned to him, my mom and the guys' folks. "We have an announcement to make." He adds, as he puts his arm around mom. "Epically for Kenickie and Katelyn."
Katelyn and I both smiled at each other before back to dad.
"Two greatest kiddos I am proud to be a father of." He adds.
I smiled at him as Shane, Sonny's older brother, ruffles my hair.
"You'd be happy to hear that Kathleen and I…are gonna renew our vows." My dad said with a smile.
Katelyn and I walked over to them.
"Are you guys for real?" Katelyn asked.
"Yes sweethearts." Mom smiled.
We hugged her.
"We are so happy for both of you." I said. "And I'm really glad you guys are ok now." I added.
My mom kissed my cheek.
"We love you kids so much." Dad tells us.
"Well we love you guys, too." Katelyn said.
"I also have a great news for my boy," Uncle Robert called out. "With his mom and I busy, and Shane is away in college…Sonny, my boy…I know how much you needed your space and freedom, but with your help…your mother and I couldn't be more grateful."
Shane draped his arm around Sonny.
"And I know that me, your mother, your brother, or your Aunts and Uncle don't care if you boys are greasers…" Mr. LaTierri spoke. "You boys…are amazing…awesome kiddos." We smiled.
I draped my arm around Sonny and Doody.
"So that is why we decided to get you an apartment." Mr. LaTierri smiled. "But we know how much you grew and became mature."
Sonny smiled.
"Really?" Sonny grinned. "Sweet!"
We chuckled at him.
"And you can have my Chevy Impala." Shane adds.
Sonny looks up at him.
"I-I'm getting you car too?" Sonny asked, still grinning.
"You earned it pal." Shane smiled.
"Yes!" Sonny cheered. "Mom, dad you know I love Sophia very much."
"We know dear." Aunt Sharleen smiled. "But we're so proud of the young man you became and…we wanted to give you, your freedom."
Sonny smiled as I gently headlock him.
"Thanks mom, dad." Sonny says.
Uncle Robert and Aunt Sharleen gave Sonny a hug.
"Anytime kiddo." Mr. LaTierri said as Mrs. LaTierri kissed his cheek.
"Don't you love me anymore, Martie?" Sophia asked Sonny.
Sonny only allows Sophie to call him, "Martie".
"Sweetheart," Sonny started as he held her in his arms. "You know I love you very much, but I need some time for myself."
"Oh." She reply.
We chuckled at her.
"How about this, after school when momma and papa are busy, you can come to our apartments to hang out, how about that?" Sonny asked.
"Sweet daddy-O!" Sophie smiled as they fist-bump.
We laughed at the cuteness in her.
"That's my girl." Sonny said kissing her head.
I smiled at them as I draped my arm around him.
"You really are growing up, pal." I say to him.
He smiled up at me.
"Thanks Kenicks." He said.
I patted his back.
"And Thanks…" I added. "For getting my folks back together."
"Hey, what brothers are for." He smiled.
I smiled as I ruffled his hair.
"Hey, not the hair man." He warned.
I chuckled at him.
"Kenny, let's play airplane!" Sophie squealed.
"Alright, let's go." I said grabbed her and held her like she was flying. "There's she go!" I said as I speed-walk as Sophie laughs. "Sophie's takeoff for landing!"
Like I said, the T-Birds are like a BIG family. So lay off ehh!
