Chapter 41 – Bachelor & Bachelorette Parties
2 Weeks Later:
Ines was dragged by Leia for a day at the local spa. It was the day before Luke and Ines wedding, and the girls and boys decided to the take the bride and groom to their bachelor and bachelorette parties.
While Leia, Mon Mothma and a pilot that became great friends of Ines and Leia back at Hoth, named Mirka, decided to take Ines to a local spa, with relaxing massages, and skin treatment, the boys (Han, Chewie, Lando and Wedge) decided to take Luke for a dinner out and then local bar.
Ines didn't mind to spend the day with her friends but Luke and her were already married for 2 ½ months in Endor, they even went on the baby making first, so doing this parties didn't make sense to them, but they wouldn't shut up, so they decided to go.
As they got to the spa, Leia head to the reception
"I have a reservation for four people on the name Leia Organa" she informed, making Ines sighed at that. Leia knew why she did that but continue to talk to the employee. After a while Ines heard Leia say "Thank you" and they head inside to a locker room where they would take off their clothes and put some fluffy robes.
"Where are Mon Mothma and Mirka?" Ines asked
"They will be here in a few minutes. I told them when they arrived to let them in."
As they were inside the locker room, Leia looked at Ines
"I saw your reaction earlier on"
Ines looked at her friend and sister in law. She knew what she was talking about. Leia continue
"I know what it is on your mind, you make the same face than Luke does when I call Bail Organa as my father."
Ines sighed.
"Look Leia. I knew Bail Organa and I understand that you feel that he is your father, after all he was the one who raised you for 19 years. And so does Luke. What your brother don't get it is why it feels like you don't want to have anything to do with the Skywalker name, when at the same time you love Luke and accepted Luke as your brother without question." she replied "Why don't use the two names. You are a Skywalker, if you like it or not and you act like you feel ashamed of using that name"
"Sometimes I think you forget that Darth Vader blew up our planet. He killed your family too and apparently you are fine with that."
"Excuse me? As far as I remember I'm the real Alderaanian here. I born in Alderaan unlike you. So don't come saying that I forgot about what happened to my planet. Not to mention you still have a family member alive. Your twin brother. My whole family died: my parents, my two older brothers, my grandparents, my sister in law, my 1 year old nephew. So who the hell are you to say that I don't mind about that? Because unlike you I can separate Darth Vader from Anakin Skywalker? Who blew my planet was Darth Vader, not your father Anakin Skywalker."
"He is not my father"
"Yes it is, if you like it or not. You weren't there when the Emperor was killing Luke, your brother, the father of your nephew." Ines said to her with tears forming in her eyes, it was always painful remembering that day "He was almost dead Leia. It is not you who still hear Luke's screams of agony while he was being electrocuted. I almost lost your brother and it was Anakin Skywalker who saved him. At that moment I saw Anakin Skywalker, the grandfather of my child, not Darth Vader. Maybe you should do the same for once. So no Leia I don't feel hate or blame Anakin Skywalker for the destruction of Alderaan, just like Luke, I can separate the two, unlike you"
Mirka and Mon Mothma arrived, at the right moment.
"Sorry we are late." Mirka said
"It's okay. We just arrived minutes ago." Ines replied to them
"So how about we go the hot tub. I really need it" Mon Mothma asked
"Let's go" Leia said smiling, but the tension between the two sisters in law was visible, as they all entered inside the steamy hot tub, which made the baby kick, which was something Ines noticed it, every time she went in the shower. The first time she felt a movement was a week ago. She remembered grabbing Luke's hand and the smile on his face when he felt a kick under the palm of his right hand, was so adorable and so beautiful. During that day he kept rubbing and talking to their son, laughing every time he felt it move.
"So where are the guys right now?" Mirka asked
"I hope not doing something stupid" Ines hoped. But she knew Luke would behave himself.
The guys:
After having a dinner at the Yavin 4 restaurant: Han, Chewie, Lando and Wedge, dragged Luke to a local bar.
When they entered the music was loud and some people was dancing.
"Come on. I have a table for us" Han yelled to them tried to be hear over the music.
"I hope is a little away from the sound or tomorrow I don't have any voice to say my vows" Luke yelled back.
Luckily it was far from the dance floor.
As they sat down, a waiter came around and asked what they want to drink.
"Bring us 5 Noble Knights" Han asked.
"Han I don't want to get drunk. I only drink one cup, please" Luke warned his friend.
"Relax Luke, today is your bachelor party. Have fun" Wedge pat his friend back.
The waiter brought a few minutes 5 glasses of a blue liquid.
Han grabbed his and raise in the air he said
"A toast for my friend and for the guys who saved the galaxy"
Luke frown at him
"Han, really?"
"I agree with him" Wedge said and Chewie growled nodding
"Han is right" Lando replied "Han and Chewie took the shield down, Wedge and I blew up the Death Star and you, my friend, not only destroyed the first Death Star, but killed the Emperor and Darth Vader. That is why you are a legend"
Luke glare at Han. They knew that was not entirely true.
"A toast to my wedding tomorrow with my beautiful wife and the baby she is caring who already kick sometimes"
"A toast" everybody said and Chewie growled.
After a few hours, they were talking about old times.
"You lost the Falcon in a fair game, Lando. It is not my fault" Han pointing at Lando.
"By the way Lando, you kept hitting on my wife back in Bespin."
"And on Leia" Han nod
"It is not my fault they are beautiful and looked beautiful in Bespin clothes" Lando laughed
"You were lucky Ines didn't kick you between your legs" Han replied "Trust me pal, you can't handle Leia and Ines"
"Remember when we were trap in the detention level in the first Death Star? Who save us?" Luke told him
"Me"
Luke laughed at that and Chewie laughed too.
"Princess Leia and Mistress Ines always were very independent women for sure" Wedge said
"Are you guys talking about Leia and Ines, from Alderaan"
Everyone looked up and saw two guys, with brown hair and green eyes. One looked it was 2 years older than Luke and the other around Luke's age.
The 5 friends looked at each other
"We know them since we were little. My father used to go there to talk with their father" the older one spoke
"I'm sorry but who are you?" Wedge asked
"I'm Kart and this is my brother Park Goff"
"Oh you are the sons of Senator Goff from Cantonica" Luke remembered the name weeks ago and how their father was an Empire supporter, even if he denies it.
"And you are the legendary Luke Skywalker, responsible for the fall of the Emperor. Your wedding tomorrow is the talk of the city" Park said
"I have to say I'm surprise that Ines will get married. I never saw that girl would married or any guy would want to marry her" Kart nod
"The surprise is the fact she would ever open her legs for a guy. Never imagine that girl would open her legs to anyone"
Han looked at him and was about to stand up. How that snob punk kid dare to talk about Ines like that?
Luke sensed that they were trying to get them in trouble and grabbed Han's arms and shook his head.
"Han, no. Just leave it. Trust me" and looking back to him "Well she did and she is pretty good at it, if you want to know" Luke smiled at him "So good that she is caring my child at the moment"
"Anything else?" Lando asked
The brothers looked at each and left
"What was that?" Wedge asked
"Those stupid kids. I was really about to punch him in the teeth. How dare him talk about Ines like that, and you allowed that"
"Because that was they want you to do. Cause a fight. If you hit them, you could put us in trouble. Their father is a senator former empire supporter"
"Let me guess, the many people who said they were force to work for the empire?" Lando asked
"Exactly" Luke nod
"So glad Luke was here to stop you Han, or you could be in great trouble" Wedge said.
"Well come on. Let's have one more drink and then we need to get home for some sleep. Tomorrow is a big day" Han told and everyone agreed.
1am in the morning:
Luke entered in his apartment, being greeted by R2 who beeped
"Hey R2. How are you? I thought you were on standby mode. Is Ines home yet?"
R2 beeped again and Luke smiled at him heading towards his bedroom, smiling when he saw Ines laying down.
Taking off his clothes, he put his pajamas bottoms and got under the covers.
"Hey. What time is it?" Ines asked waking up
"1 am. Sorry if I woke you up"
"It is okay. I see at least one of us had a good time. 1 am" she smiled
Luke frown at that
"What do you mean? Didn't you have fun in your party?"
"Well it could be better, if it wasn't the tension between me and your sister" and Ines told Luke what happened.
Luke sighed at that. The last thing he want was his wife and sister upset with each other hours before their wedding.
"You need to give Leia some time. She didn't see my father, the real one like we did. She only saw Darth Vader. You can't blame her for that"
"I know Luke. But when she told that it was like I forgot the fact that Alderaan was destroyed, insinuating that I'm fine with it. It was like really? My whole family was killed, she has you at least. A family member that is still alive. I don't have any of them. And yes I was kind of mean at her and of course she is from Alderaan as much as I am, but I got upset when she said that. You and our baby are the only family I have right now. I don't have anyone else. If I didn't have you, I would be all alone" she said as she sat on the bed looking down at him
Luke sat on the bed and pulled her into a hug. He understood what she was feeling and mean.
"You were never alone and never will be. But you know you need to talk to Leia about it"
Ines nod. She knew he was right.
"I will talk tomorrow. After all I will get dress in her apartment"
"Come on, let's got to sleep" he said laying back down and pulling her closer to him, he pulled the covers over then and resting his hand on her belly, he smiled when he felt a small kick. "He is kicking"
"I know. He is inside me" she laughed and looked up at him, making Luke kissed her forehead, and both feel asleep a while ago, waiting for tomorrow big day: their public wedding.
The bachelor and bachelorette party were a little different. Who do you think is right: Leia or Ines or both?
