In three days, much can change.

Loud cry's filled a small cozy hut. It was the telltale sign that a young baby boy was ready for food.

His mother lovingly hoisted him into the air, cradling him within her arms tenderly.

His wails and worries were lulled away. His mother then lowered her color blocked pink kimono so her son could have his fill of her natural milk.

A grab and gentle squeeze of her voluptuous rear end, along with a quick peck on her cheek, was a welcomed good morning to the young mother.

Sango giggled lightly before turning her head to meet her husband's lips. "Good morning," Sango said lovingly to her husband.

"Good morning for someone? How come I don't get this sort of treatment in the morning?" Miroku joked lightly as he rubbed his young boy's head.

"Oh, you get enough of your own special treatment." Sango playfully teased.

Miroku smiled at the erotic images of his beautiful wife from the night before.

"I could start breakfast for us?" Miroku offered.

"Ok, thank you. I started the rice already. I just didn't have time to start on the vegetables." Sango said while waiting for her young boy to finish up.

"I'll get right on it." Miroku smiled. He loved and enjoyed his the peace his family was given, and yet a tiny part him longer for the battle and adventure he had grown accustomed to.

For so many long and uneventful years has he been dealing with minor unproblematic demons.

Guilt ate away at his core, wishing for something worthwhile to happen in their small village of Edo.

"Today, Kaede is choosing a suitor for Rin? I wonder how that'll go over? Do you think I should say something to Kohaku?" Sango mentioned in a melancholy tone.

She set her bundle of joy down so he could play with a makeshift rattle Kagome gave him.

"I do not see it heading in any good direction. Rin is a very free spirit, to put it nicely." Miroku pointed out. "I'm not sure Kohaku is to set on her any longer? Hasn't he been helping those ninja sisters more and more often lately?" Miroku asked.

"Yes, but that's nothing. I'm sure Kohaku is just trying to help. Besides, he and Rin are so good together!" Sango pointed out.

"Alright, I guess we can talk to him later about it?" Miroku didn't feel like arguing points.

"I'll just go over to Kaede now! I do t want her accepting any dowry for Rin right away!" Sango bundled up her son on her back and was off.

"But what about?" Miroku sighed defeatedly. She was gone already.

He might as well feed his girls and meet his wife there later.

"Inuyasha! We have to help! Can you just imagine Rin ending up with someone who treats her badly!" Kagome argued.

"It ain't none of our business! Besides, it's better than her fawning over my stupid brother! Ain't nothin' ever gonna happen with that jackass!" Inuyasha grumbled.

He had, of course, spoken up about it being wrong someone making this kind of a decision for the young girl. However, he could not see a better option.

After walking in on a nude Rin with Sesshomaru's stench all over her naked body, he could no longer trust that she'd find any suitor. Not with the rumors, people were bound to stir up should it happen again.

"You don't know what you are talking about! Rin is in love with Kohaku! She told me herself!" Kagome said proudly.

"Huh? She did? That jackass! I'll kill him next time he shows his ugly face around here!" Inuyasha growled angrily.

If Kagome were telling the truth, (which Inuyasha had no reason to believe she wouldn't be), then that'd mean his brother forced Rin into whatever happen that morning.

"You're so pigheaded? Why can't you focus on what's important?!" Kagome sighed out.

She decided it'd be best to handle the situation herself.

"I'm just saying Rin is too obsessed with demons to live a normal human life. I think she'd be happier marrying a friend like me instead of some guy she doesn't know?" Shippo said as he walked through the forest to the village.

"Wha? Hun? I dunno; no one should be making these choices for her. Did Lady Kaede even ask Lord Sesshomaru?" Kohaku said while busying himself with nothing important.

"Who knows? All I know is that she accepted a dowry on Rin." Shippo pointed out.

"Really? Poor Rin...Hey? What's happening over there?" Kohaku looked at the large group of their friends at Kaede's.

"Nothing good, I'm sure. Let's go!" Shippo said, sprinting on all fours as he used to as a young kid.

"Rin, I know you love Kohaku! It's ok to admit it! Just tell Kaede, and she won't insist on marrying mg you off to some strange guy!" Kagome said loudly.

"Ugh? Don't ya think that's a little rude?" Inuyasha judged his wife as the samurai was standing right there.

"Rin, I know it might seem like you've waited forever? But just give him time; he's shy, is all." Sango tried to comfort.

"All ye must listen! This man has already offered dowry and protection with the group he leads. He is a fine and respectable young man that can provide many comforts to thee child. Ye would refuse for what purpose?" Kaede spoke to the horrified girl.

Rin was furious! Her anger very obviously worn, she could not believe how her friends were making these choices for her!

"Hey, what's happening?" Shippo asked.

Rin looked to Kohaku and Shippo. Relief hit her for a second. Surely her friends would defend her and take her side.

Kagome explained and tried to nudge Kohaku into telling Rin his true feelings.

Kohaku awkwardly suggested it might not be too bad an idea.

While Shippo laughed and stated she'd be happier in a demon home, that only Shippo could provide.

The horror hit Rin once again. How could her two best friends say such a thing to her!

"How dare you! All of you! I have no interest in marrying! If I did it would be my choice! No one else's!" Rin argued.

"Child, ye suitor has already given provisions to thy village. Would ye child be so stubborn?" Kaede asked hoping to get her to a place she'll be safe and loved and near.

Rin gasped in shock, was her caretaker of all these years really trying to guilt trip her into being ok with this? How could she be so cruel?

Rins eyes glazed with pain and hurt. Was she being selfish? Was it the better choice? What should she do?

Just when all seemed dull and gray Rins hope was restored.

In the instant that black pointed boots touched the ground and long silver hair settled on regal features her heart beamed with joy!

"Lord Sesshomaru! You came!"
