The cold night passed, and morning came, as the Eds' group saw fit to travel a bit more, moving past the next city and into the rugged, mountainous terrain, gathering around Double D, who held up Ed and Eddy's Hm and TM respectively.

"Okay, from what I've gleaned, these two devices contain data for Pokémon moves that can be taught at any time." Double D began. "The first is a technique called 'Surf.' From Roto-Z's description-" The Rotom Dex gave a clicking sound. "-It creates a tidal force capable of hitting multiple enemies, and even allies. The more telling ability is that it allows the user to travel across bodies of water."

"So it basically teaches a Pokémon how to swim." Kevin surmised.

"Correct." Double D added. "And I've chalked up our party mates capable of learning it. From Ed's team, it is his Wailmer, Ahab, and that's it. From my party, it appears that my Tirtouga, Galapago can learn it. From Eddy's team, it appears oddly enough that VOLTY can learn it?" He said questioningly. Then again, if Watt could use Splishy Splash, a Pikachu channeling water wouldn't be too out of place. Even granted Watt's "enhancements." "It also appears that Pinchy, his Wimpod can learn Surf. From Rain's Team, Lowwy, can learn it. Kevin, your Corphish can learn, and if Ace evolved, he could too."

Kevin held up his Nidorino's Ball. "How DOES Ace evolve anyway?"

"I can anzzzwer that! Bzzt!" Roto-Z hovered up to him. "Nidorino evolves into Nidoking via use of a Moon Stone! But since this isn't naturally a Pokémon-native world, or at leazzzt not anymore, I don't think we could find one easily, if at all."

"And lastly, Rolf, your Dratini and Tauros can learn Surf."

"Greer can swim as well? Hmm...perhaps this technique is worthwhile."

"As with Ice Beam, a few more of our Pokémon can learn it. All in favor of learning the moves?"

"Hmm. Sure, why not?" Kevin said. "I'll have Ace learn Ice Beam."

"And I will have Greer and Tempest learn the Surfing attack." Rolf added.

"I'm good, Double D!" Ed intoned.

"Then I'll have Galapago learn Surf. Rain?"

"I don't need it. Thanks though." She waved her hair passively.

"Very well...say, where is Eddy? His Buneary can learn Ice Beam."

"I think he said he was gonna go train a bit further ahead."

"Oh dear. I hope he doesn't run into any kind of trouble…"

0

Deeper in the forest, Eddy had ventured off by himself. If he was to defeat his brother, he had to steel his resolve, and strengthen his party. He found a few boulders lying around. Since they weren't flammable, he thought them the perfect target.

"Torchy! You're on!" His Growlithe manifested from the Quick Ball.

"Groww?" Growlithe yipped curiously at him.

"Okay, buddy. Time for some special training. I want you to practice your Ember attacks on these rocks, as well as your Flame Wheel attacks. Just be sure not to hurt yourself. Can you do that?"

"Growwrow!" The Growlithe barked in agreement, bounding forward, and spitting embers at the first boulder.

He pulled a basic Poké Ball out. "Pecky, go!"

The Archen appeared, with a deep yawn. "(Good morning to all.)" She cawed sleepily.

"Okay, Pecky. I know I haven't been using you in battle much, but how's about we try training your movement speed a little?"

"(Sounds like a decent idea.)"

"Okay, so, do your best to fly...er...I guess hop around as fast as you can-" He corrected himself, at Pecky folding her multi-colored wings, and frowning, remembering that she was still a dinosaur and not a full bird. She was flightless. "-and use Pluck on these downed logs.

Still fuming a little, Pecky hopped about, jabbing her beak into the fallen tree portions.

Eddy then pulled his Nest Ball, and an Ultra Ball out. He sighed. "Jill, Volty, you're up."

The Shiny Buneary and Shiny Pikachu appeared from their containment, with Jill taking immediate notice of the darker orange-yellow Pikachu, and wiggling closer to him, only for Volty to recoil.

"Okay, I want you two to be sparring partners for a bit. Nothing too rough, okay?"

Neither one of them liked the thought of fighting each other, Volty from his reluctance, and Jill because he was her love interest.

"Well?"

Jill balled her paw up, and gave Volty a half-hearted Pound attack to the stomach, but it was a bit more of a pat.

Volty sparked his cheeks and scooted a bit further away. "Pika." He fired a more Thunder Wave-like Thunderbolt around her footpaws, not hitting the pink and brown Buneary.

"Guys, you do actually have to hit each other." Eddy facepalmed. "Oh well. Fine. We'll do something else in a little bit. Here." He pulled a few berries from his bag, and handed them to Volty, who offered them to Jill(moreover putting them on the ground and scooting them to her.) She denied, and folded her paws, leering at Eddy. "Ugh...fine. It's my last bag though." He pulled a bag of plain chips from his bag, which Jill happily snatched up.

He pulled Wotter and Capone's Poké Balls out. "Come out, guys."

As he sent them out, Volty turned to Jill. "(Hey, Jill, right?)"

"(That's what he calls me.)" She said to the Pikachu.

"(So...what was your life like before...y'know, the flash or whatever it was that brought us to this world?)"

Jill looked away. "(I umm...don't wanna talk about it.)"

In fact, her younger life was pretty rough.

0

Jill was born to a colony of Buneary and Bidoof in the Sinnoh Region, and was the only Shiny in the litter. Her mother heard tales of humans taking entire months, scouring the wilds for Pokémon of unusual body coloration, and with a heavy heart, their parents exiled her from the colony.

"But why do I have to go, momma?" Her voice echoed throughout the memory.

"I'm sorry, daughter. But it won't be safe for any of us if you remain." Her mother, an average Lopunny explained. "If a human spots you, they would take you away from us. If they find us, it could be a slaughter, and we'd all be hurt and separated." The rabbit Pokémon embraced her beloved child one last time, tears streaming from both their faces.

Her father, a Bibarel, approached, carrying a Silk Scarf. "This cloth has been my side of the family's most prized possession for generations. May it give you the strength of our bloodline, and offer you its sacred protection." He said, draping it around her.

"B...but papa…" She knew how much it meant to the family. She couldn't just take it, but her father put one of the digits of his paw over her mouth.

"No buts. This way, you can be home, no matter where you are."

The tears flowed more as he embraced her, followed by her mother, and all of her fellow Buneary siblings, and her Bidoof cousins.

"I love you...all of you…" She cried.

Not long after, they sent her off with a few days worth of berries, but she made the mistake of eating most of them the first day. Hunger set in quickly, as she had to dodge more violent Pokémon.

However, the day came when Jill was finally captured by a human being. He was an unruly teen, with wild blond hair under a cap with a Gurdurr on it.

He was mean spirited to her, forcing her to battle stronger Pokémon without any regard to her then current strength level. The boy had another rabbit like Pokémon with him, but he was unlike anything she'd ever seen, being predominantly white, with a red tuft at the top of his head like a flame, with a yellow crest on his forehead. He also had a pattern of fur resembling red shorts.

This Pokémon didn't seem to pay her much mind, but clearly her trainer seemed to favor him, giving him as many nutrient drinks as possible, while barely acknowledging her at all. The few times he showed her off was more like he was displaying a conversation piece.

Then the day came when he would abandon her. They'd lost a battle against a cocky pink haired girl with a very strange looking Slowbro. That very evening, her then trainer released her from her Poké Ball, and to add insult to injury, he robbed her of the Silk Scarf, gifting it to the other rabbit Pokémon.

This was the final straw. She had nothing left. Her family was forced to send her away. The only human she knew abandoned her, and now her only connection to her beloved family was gone.

Jill was furious, and brokenhearted. She had nothing. All she wanted to do was to sink into the darkness.

But rather than darkness, she was encompassed in light as she was brought into the Eds world.

0

"(Its because you're Shiny like me, isn't it?)" Volty asked.

"(Y...yeah...what if it is?)" Jill retorted.

"(I know all about that...my parents were actually caught trying to hide me from a hunter. Then after the big flash that brought us here, I was living with another clan of Pikachu outside one of their towns. Though they didn't exactly like me. My little buddy Watt was rejected by them too, so I decided to join up with these kids.)"

"(Ohh. Im sorry about your parents...mine sent me away with a family relic to keep themselves safe.)"

"(That's harsh…)"

"(Yeah...but sometimes I think that might've been the right call. Seeing what happened to your parents…I'm sure they loved you.)"

"(Yours too.)"

The two Shiny Pokémon looked to each other for a moment before sharing an embrace.

Eddy caught the moment, watching in silence. Matters of the heart were largely lost on him, but he had to admit, he could feel something from this. Something enough to give them some privacy. He turned to the others. "You guys be good. Torchy, come with me. We'll be back in just a minute."

"Ruff!" The Growlithe barked in response as he trotted along after him.

0

After walking by himself, Eddy and Torchy came to a swift-flowing river, sitting down almost immediately. "Huh...seems almost like where all this mess started for us…"

"Roww?" The red, and black striped dog vocalized with a twist of his head.

"Nothin' Torchy. It's just that...things have changed so much for us. I was just thinking back…" Eddy took a glance to the tree brush when suddenly, he could see some of it rustling, and heavy footfalls. "What's that?" Torchy got on the offensive as something large tore its way through the brambly mass.

Eddy got a look at the new Pokémon, and recognized what he saw. "Hey...isn't that one of those Bemosaur things?"

Indeed, it was a Venusaur, the big Grass/Poison starter Pokémon. A seed budded from the flower atop her back, indicating she was female.

"Venusss?" The reptile-esque Pokémon's eyes widened in surprise at the boy in front of her.

"Oh wow! Last time I saw one of these was when Grey was in Peach Creek with us!"

"Venus-vena-saur."

"Venus? Whaddya see?" A familiar voice called. Eddy nearly hopped out of his skin.

"G-Grey!?"

The blond 11-year old boy stepped out of the brush, wearing the same blue polo shirt, and black and yellow shorts as he was when they first met.

"Grey! It is you!"

"Oh, hey! Eddy! Long time no see, huh? Gotta have been a month now, huh?" Grey said, straightening his black and white Poké Ball cap.

"Heck yeah! It has been a while. What'cha doing here in the wilderness?"

"Well, I was still looking for a way back to my world. But I haven't made any progress."

"Sorry to hear that."

"What are you doing so far from home?" Grey inquired.

"We got stranded in a fight with Team Rainbow Rocket. I heard something along the lines that they've taken over the entire world, but i'm not sure about that."

Grey's eyes narrowed. "Team...Rocket? Huh...I heard they disbanded back in the day...at least where I'm from. So they've come back?"

"We've been almost constantly fighting them. I'm surprised you haven't run into them!"

"Well, maybe if they have something to do with how this mess started, I can find a way home."

"Does that mean-?"

"Yeah. I guess I'll stick with you guys a bit longer. Besides-" he smirked. "It'll be fun to see how much stronger you guys have gotten!"

"That a challenge?" Eddy asked, folding his arms with a grin.

"Grow!" Torchy barked at his side, wagging his tail eagerly.

Grey took notice of the Puppy Pokémon. "Huh...you got yourself a Growlithe? Nice!"

"Thanks. I wound up catching a whole bunch of Pokémon."

"Hope you're taking the time to raise and care for them all."

"Well…" Eddy scratched the back of his head.

"Eddyyy." Grey frowned.

"Well, I got this Buneary that doesn't seem to like me that much. I have to bribe it with snacks."

Grey dug into his pocket, and handed him a small silver bell.

"What's this?" Eddy asked, raising an eyebrow.

"A Soothe Bell. It's a Held Item for Pokémon to hold. Specifically to help calm them down and make them a bit more friendly. Buneary are notoriously hard to befriend. I was gonna have Tann hold it, but she's friendly enough."

"Huh...I just need to have her hold it?"

"Yup. Say, where's everybody else?" Grey asked.

"They set up camp not too far from here. Let's meet up with the rest of my 'Mons and I'll take you to them."

"Solid. Venus, return." He held out her Ball and returned her inside as the two trainers walked along.

0

Unbeknownst to them, the group had already left, packing up their tents, but heading in the way Eddy had gone.

"Did he really have to leave us just for a bout of training?" Rain asked.

"Eddy will be as Eddy always has been, to a degree. He's definitely softened up, but he usually keeps his feelings bottled up."

Kevin peered upward, after seeing a passing shadow overhead. "What the-Hey...isn't that-"

The others looked upward, and saw as a familiar shape emerged. A female Garchomp scowling threateningly at them.

"Garrr-!" She hissed, as she readied her wings.

"Oh dear…" Edd replied, backing away. Watt flattened his ears, frowning angrily. "Do we know this Garchomp?"

"I'll say that you do." The Pokémon's trainer stepped out from behind it. Nirra grinned maliciously.

Kevin took on a guarding stance with Ed and Rolf. "Didn't we already beat you?"

"Beat? No. More like stalled."

"What makes you think you can beat us when we're all together?" He smirked, before Rolf was struck by something.

"Sle-hurgh" Rolf shrieked as the electric shock coursed through his form, causing him to fall to the ground.

"Rolf!" Rain screamed as he fainted.

"Rolf! You're gonna pay for that!" Kevin growled at the red-uniformed men behind them. He made a grab for Buck's Poké Ball, only to be shocked himself!"

"Kevin!" Ed gasped. Seeing the aggressors aim another of the stun guns on him, he leapt high into the air, unfortunately allowing Rain to get hit.

"Rain!" Edd wailed, running up and catching her as she fell.

"D-Double D…" She managed to eke out before passing out.

"Rain…" He raised his head at the red-costumed assailants. "How dare you!" He squealed.

Ed came down behind the gang of semi-armored mooks, ripping a large chunk of earth out of the ground to block the stun gun shots. He let Snappy out of his Poké Ball, the Grotle manifesting with an angry groan, as if he already read the situation.

The group of thugs readied their stun guns, but a voice called out. "Wait!"

Double D and Ed turned to where it originated, and the henchmen filed to the side as a tall, muscular man approached carrying an aura of menace about him. He wore a rusted metal mask, with piercing red lenses, a black assault vest, and a dark green bodysuit underneath. On a belt at his waist were six jet black Poké Balls.

"Who are...you?"

"You may call me...Rust Mask." The man said with an angry filtered voice as he pulled one of the Balls from his belt and enlarged it. Edd could see that it had spiralling black lines around it. "And I have some business with that Pichu of yours."

"P...Pichu?" Watt perked up, watching almost in a transfixed fashion at the dark figure.

"It has been too long...XD-V."

"Rust Mask...XD-V…" Edd began, looking down at Watt. Niraa mentioned someone named "Rust Mask" during their last encounter. It was only a matter of time before he graced them with his presence.

Watt seemed to hit a realization, and started to panic!

"Pi!! Pi-pi-chu!" The albino Mouse Pokémon screamed, flailing about in Double D's arms.

Double D got defensive. "I won't let you have Watt!"

"My foolish boy. The XD-V isn't yours to keep!" He threw his black Poké Ball, which opened with a rush of black light lined with purple. It coalesced into a tall, and frightening sight-A bipedal Pokémon that resembled a Kaiju of sorts, with green, armor-like skin, four holes in it's torso, and a blue rhombus-shaped patch on it's belly. Spikes adorned it's back, from its tail to a three-pointed crest on her head. It's eyes seemed to exude anger and hatred.

"Tyraaahh!!" She roared.

"What in the world is that!?" Double D shrieked, trembling in fright.

"C...cool…" Edd made a quick motion to check it out with his Pokédex.

"Tyranitar. The Armor Pokémon." It's digital voice rung out. "Proud of it's power, it's insolent nature causes it to not care about others. It is known to bring down mountains with a single blow of it's fist, and alter landscapes."

"We-we're in for it! Zrrt-Zrrt!" Roto-Z whipped his Rotom Dex Appendages about. "A Garchomp and a Tyranitar!? There's no way we can fight off both of those!"

"We have to try." Ed attested, marching out with Snappy to face Rust Mask and his Tyranitar.

"You're actually going to fight?" Rust Mask inquired. "Hmph. Fine. I'll put you in your place. With the trash you reek of!"

"Grott!" Snappy barked, ready for action.

"Snappy, use Leaf Storm!" Ed called.

"Grahtle!" The Grove Pokémon grunted, shaking his shell-bushes to unleash a wild frenzy of wind and leaves, slicing into both the Garchomp and Tyranitar. Unfortunately, neither seemed to shrink from the attack.

"Garrrr…" Apex hissed, heat spilling from her jaws.

"Apex, use Fire Blast!" Niraa demanded. Her Garchomp loosed a star-shaped burst of flames from her maw, which hit and burned Snappy.

"Graaahh!" Snappy groaned, reeling back. The blow almost fully depleted his health.

Double D bolted into action. "Watt, stay back and hide!" He pulled a Ball from his belt. "Galapago, I need your assistance!"

His Tirtouga shot out of his Ball, and took a defensive position next to Ed's Grotle. The two turtles watched as the shark-dragon and kaiju-esque opponents stood proud and seemed to laugh at the.

"Pitiful." Rust Mask began. "Don't even begin to think you can fight us off."

Edd weighed his options as Roto-Z quickly informed him of Tyranitar's Rock and Dark typing. He could use Surf, but such would hit Snappy as well.

"Galapago, use Ice Beam on the Garchomp!"

"Touga!" The Fossil Pokémon wailed, loosing the chilled energy from his beaked maw. Apex was dumbfounded by the sudden attack and was struck, her chest freezing solid.

"G-Garr!!"

"Apex!" Niraa bit her lip. "You'll pay for that!"

Double D handed Ed a Super Potion. "Unlikely. No matter how many of you there are, we will never allow you to take our partners from us! Nor will you be forgiven for assaulting our human friends either!"

Ed healed Snappy, his burns vanishing. "And that's the truth, buckos! Or my name isn't Average Joe!"

"Tyranitar. Outrage." Rust Mask snapped his fingers, and the green lizard monster took on an angry aura, that infused his form with a dragon silhouette. It flung itself at Snappy, assaulting him fervently. The Grotle barely managed to recoil away with a bit of fighting energy left in him.

"Grot...tle...Grotle…"

"Snappy, use Solar Beam!" Ed said desperately.

Snappy lowered his head and his bushes gathered light energy from the sun.

"We'll offer support then! Galapago use Aqua Jet!" Double D commanded.

His Tirtouga slammed into Tyranitar in a rush of water, staggering him, but not preventing him from slamming his claws into the proto turtle, though he managed to withstand it a tad better than his Grass-Type Comrade.

He saw the Garchomp going for Snappy, so he rushed in with another attempted shot of Ice Beam, but a strange tail-swipe coated in draconic energy knocked him down.

"Tirt!!" He groaned as he hit the dirt, but managed to pull through.

"Pi-pi-pi-chu…" Watt squeaked out, extending a paw out toward Galapago in fright, but as soon as he did, one of Rust Masks' goons grabbed him.

"Gotcha, ya little runt!" He snorted proudly.

"Piiiii-chu!" Watt balled his paws and sparked his cheeks, hitting the Pokénabber with the force of a Thunder Shock.

"B'haaaaaa-!!!" He wailed as he was zapped, falling to the floor and twitching out of consciousness. The other goons backed away nervously, but maintained watch on him.

"Grooootle!!" Snappy roared, loosing Solar Beam toward Tyranitar. The Armor Pokémon seemed to stand still, as if in anticipation of the attack. It hit dead center in the rhombus shaped patch in the middle of his chest, and kicked up an explosion of light.

"Direct hit! Direct hit! Zrrt!" Roto-Z chimed.

Ed and Double D watched the dust die down, still unsure of the outcome. And when it did, Tyranitar was still there, standing in the same position, angry as ever.

"W...why didn't it fall!?"

Rust Mask chuckled darkly. "This Tyranitar has had its power levels raised to the maximum level, and it's aggression significantly amplified." He shrugged confidently. "A single super-effective hit from a Stage 1 Grass-Type isn't going to knock it out. Tyranitar, use Rock Tomb!"

"Tyrah!" Tyranitar raised it's paw, forcing stones from the ground to rise up in a ring around Snappy, binding him still and damaging him.

"Grottul!!" Snappy groaned as he was hit, fading out of consciousness.

"Snappy!" Ed wailed, barely managing to call him back to his Poké Ball. He was about to shift him out for Ahab, but he was electrocuted by the grunts' stun guns!

"Ed!!" Double D cried with shock as Ed cringed, shifting forms to Lothar, his 30s' cartoon self, his elderly self, infant self, his mutated fish form brought about in "Dueling Eds," and even the terrifying Edzilla, all of which shocking and surprising Niraa, and Rust's other subordinates. The burly Ed boy fell out unconscious.

"Ed! ...Ed!" Edd sprinted up and held his head up. "Are you okay!? Wake up!"

"He's out for the count, string bean." Niraa taunted. "And now to finish the job. Apex, use Dragon Claw!"

The ice around her Garchomp's torso had thawed out, freeing her from it's embrace. She flew in, ready to swipe Galapago, but the Water/Rock-Type's anger had peaked. He ducked out of the way.

"Tou-gah!" He groaned angrily.

"Galapago! Use Ice Beam!" Double D screamed.

"Tirt!" Tirtouga unleashed the freezing attack, striking Apex dead on, and freezing her solid.

"G-garr-chaaah!" The Pseudo-Legend hissed before fainting.

"Apex…I hate these brats!" Niraa scowled, recalling her to her Ball.

"Worry not. Tyranitar. Finish it!" Rust Mask added.

"Tyrah!" The Johto Pseudo Legend growled, swiping at Galapago with her tail. He tried to duck out at the last second with Aqua Jet, but in the end, he was knocked down.

"Touuu!" The Unova Fossil Pokémon croaked out as he hit the dirt.

"Galapago! No!" Double D prepared to switch him out, but one of the enemy's underlings grabbed him from behind, and held him in a full nelson. "Unhand me, you barbarous brute!!"

"Not until we get what we came for!"

"Tyranitar, return." Rust Mask held up the black Poké Ball once more, his servant turning into a mass of black energy and going back inside. "Now…" He turned to Watt, who had emerged from hiding.

"Pi...Pichuuu!" He put on a brave face, balling his paws and sparking his cheeks.

"XD-V...we are reunited at last." He held up his hand as he approached. Watt zapped him with a Thunder Shock, but he was dumbfounded when he saw that the attack did nothing. "I'm afraid that's not going to work. Insulated clothing."

"Ch...Chu!" Watt shifted from Thunder Shock to Thunderbolt. Still it did nothing as Rust slowly walked up, and grabbed him. "Chu! Chu-Pi-Chu!" He squealed with a paw reaching out for Double D.

Double D struggled against the grunt that held him, but it was in vain. Rust Mask put Watt in some form of big Poké Ball-shaped pod, as several all-terrain tank-like vehicles rolled in from nearby.

"Do not follow us." Rust said threateningly as the goon that held Edd back shoved him to the ground. "This Pichu...belongs to me."

"You can't!"

Rust simply passed the comment, and loaded Watt into the first vehicle with himself. Double D watched in horror as all the grunts packed up and left in their transports, leaving him, Galapago, and the now unaware Ed all alone.

"Watt...he's gone...Watt! Watt!" Double D screamed.

The Pichu had been the constant fixture in his life, along with his friends, since the start of this "adventure." His first partner. One of his closest friends.

He stood up, watching Galapago struggle to pick his head up. "Tir...Tirrrr...Touuu…" He gasped and groaned.

"Galapago...stop...rest now." He held up its Ball, but to his mild surprise, the turtle started glowing. "E...Evolution at a time like this?"

The Tirtouga's body morphed and changed, as he stood upright and gained more bulk. When the light died down, he could be seen as having a rocky-structured mask-like face, and a shell that was built somewhat like a brace.

Galapago panted heavily, his evolution complete. "Galapago…evolved into a Carracosta!" Roto-Z noted. "Carracosta. The Prototurtle Pokémon. One blow from it's flippers can open a hole in the bottom of a tanker. It consumes it's prey whole, shell, bones and all, which adds to it's own shell." The Rotom Dex curled it's appendages. "Sorry, Roto-D, force of habit. This is no time…"

"You don't need to apologize…" Edd crestfallenly put a hand on his Carracosta's shell, to which the upright turtle groaned peacefully. "We'll have to wait until the others wake up and Eddy finds his way back…" Tears rolled down his cheeks. "Watt...I will find you…and get you back."

He could hear to people talking, and both he and Galapago got on the guard, Roto-Z floating behind him.

He was met with a rather surprised Eddy, and to his own, Grey, the boy who introduced them to the world of Pokémon Training. "...Grey!?"

The blond boy's eyes widened. "H-hey, Double D...been a while…" He took particular note of Ed, Kevin, and Rolf's unconscious forms, as well as the young dark-skinned girl he didn't recognize, not to mention the big turtle Pokémon next to Edd that he had never seen before. "What...happened her?"

"Oh Grey...we've been through so much in your absence…" Edd said.

"Geez, did you guys get attacked while I was gone!?" Eddy asked.

"Precisely, Eddy!" Double D wailed. "Some red uniformed ruffians came, and knocked everyone unconscious! That Niraa woman appeared, as well as the enigmatic Rust Mask, who i presume would be her commander...they defeated Ed, and I...and...and…" He struck the earth with his fist. "They took Watt!!"

"They nabbed him!?" Eddy's eyes widened.

"Yes! They called him...XD...something or other! We have to do something!"

Grey put a hand on Edd's arm. "Dude...don't worry. I'll help you. Which way'd they go?"

"Over there…" Double D said. "But there's no way we can catch up to them on foot."

"Then we won't go on foot." The Kanto trainer pulled one Poké Ball, and one Ultra Ball from his belt.

"Burner! Echo!" His Flareon emerged from the first, followed by a large wyvernous Pokémon with a curiously mammalian face, predominately black and purple in color, with large oval-shaped ears with green, ringed interiors. A red V-shaped growth adorned it's snout. It had a long, thin tail with a skewered tip.

"Flaare!" The Flareon barked, awaiting commands.

"Hruff." The dragon-like creature huffed, looking mildly indifferent.

"I don't recognize this one…" Eddy began. He held up his Pokédex, which produced it's image, calling it a Noivern.

"I just recently caught it. It's still a little wild, but it can carry all three of us." Grey held up a fruit, and with a cry, his Noivern accepted it, allowing him onto his back. "Burner, you watch the other kids. We'll be back."

"Flare!" The Flareon nodded, striding to the center of the group and lying down.

Double D cautiously climbed onto it's back, Eddy following suit. "Alright...hang on to your hats!"

With a shriek, Echo took off flying overhead, following the tire tracks.

Sigh...another chapter with too long a gap between updating. Lot of stuffs been happening. Losing my job due to it closing. They're offering me a decent severance, so I might use it to get a PC. Other than that its just my erratic schedule, and work clutter with other projects and general laziness. I hope I haven't lost all my followers on here.

The Red storyline, Blue looking for Prof. Oak, Nazz's contest have not been forgotten. I ask again for everybody to have patience. Tho the contest will have to be put off until next chapter. If anybody has anything to say about this one, don't be shy to leave a review. Thanks everybody.
