Stannis Baratheon pov

Stannis sat with Shireen and Ser Davos as the trial is about to start

"Do you think egg will win Ser Davos ?"his daughter asked the onion knight

"Prince Aegon"he interrupted before the onion knight could answer,"Shireen your cousin is a prince,you shall properly address his grace as such,you and the crown prince might be close but with others you will refer to him as such and not anything else,is that clear"

His daughter nodded and quickly said "Yes father,it will not happen again"

"M'lady I have seen the Prince fight monstrously huge men,rogue master benders,bandits, wildlings,etc and his grace hasn't lost yet,and I don't think he will start now"Ser Davos assured his daughter

Prince Aegon stood in the fighting square in just dark leather armour,the armour is very thin and he didn't even bother to put on a helm,but he still stood proud with dark sister in his hand

Aegon certainly inherited his father's Valyrian beauty,his curly raven black hair hanging loosely by his sides,the resemblance between Rhaegar and his son is uncanny,so much so that he felt himself standing in the red keep just after the rebellion

Rhaegar had just become king after the mad King's death by the hands of the Kingslayer,Robert was defeated long ago,Stannis and Renly were brought to the red keep as hostages among others

Stannis expected to be treated with hate and scorn for his part in the rebellion, Rhaegar might have spared Robert to avoid being a Kinslayer but Stannis didn't expect a warm welcome in anyway

But King Rhaegar didn't stoop low like the other men certainly would have,he acknowledged Stannis and his little brother as kin,and even the other hostages were treated fairly and with respect, Rhaegar even saw his dedication and gave him the position of the master of laws in the small council

It is sad to say but his cousin who they rebelled against treated Stannis more like a brother than Robert ever did,on the other hand Robert was ready to kill Rhaegar forgetting their shared blood just for a girl who he claimed to love but didn't know much about,all the while whoring his way through the battle camp

Everyday Stannis is grateful that the rebellion failed,Robert would have been a terrible king,the crown had to intervene several times already to keep Robert and his lannister wife from bankrupting the entire stormlands untill finally Eric Robert's bastard took charge of storm's end

Even Joffrey was a disaster waiting to happen,Stannis was relieved when he heard of the boy's death,while Robert has no intention of ruling the stormlands Joffrey would have been much worse,the boy would have burned House Baratheon and the stormlands to the ground if he had his way

As Stannis was thinking the high Septon finished droning on about the seven and the gods and the battle started,he is glad that their ancestors had to good sense to take up the old gods like the Targaryens

As soon as the battle started the water dancer moved back as far as possible,then his started swinging his sword around,the moisture in the air was sucked into the water dancer's sword,a clear sing that he is a master water bender, water started gushing out of his short braavosi sword as Syrio twirled around swinging his sword,the water took the form of a sea dragon around Syrio,the sea dragon is six feet long and foot wide

Stannis has heard about water dancing,the style that combines water bending with sword play,they say the braavosi people found the tomes of this style in Rhyonish ruins

This Syrio Forel is clearly a top master as he made a sea dragon in just a few moments as soon as the battle started

Syrio than jabbed his sword towards Aegon and the water dragon lunged at the prince at frightening speed,but just as the water sea dragon was going to crash into Aegon he sliced it apart with his sword,the sea dragon was sliced in half,in one moment all that water turned into mist and the next it went back into the air where it came from

With just the single swipe of his sword Aegon shocked everyone,Stannis like everyone else couldn't believe what he was seeing,Aegon sliced Syrio's water attack with such skill and control that it completely destoryed Syrio's intent and energy controlling the water,so the water without the energy quickly returned back to its natural state

There is only one other person in the entire seven kingdoms,Ser Arthur Dayne,who has such mastery over the sword,if Aegon's swing was anything less than perfect than the sea dragon would have been still sliced apart but all that water would have splashed on the ground,and with just a few more attacks the entire ground would have been wet,than Syrio would have had complete control of battlefield attacking Aegon from any direction

Even if Syrio would have used water that was available instead of taking it from the air,then the water would has splashed on the ground but Syrio would have still lost control over their water until he could touch it or extend is energy to once again take control over it

This is why Ser Arthur Dayne is know as the deadliest sword master alive even before Aegon,what can a elemental bender do if their bending is being cut apart with such precision that they can no longer control it

Now no can deny that Aegon is the heir to to the Iron Throne,no elemental bender can win against a sword master with such skill in single combat,unless there is king level bender,even Aegon and Ser Arthur can't stand against a king level bender

This battle for all intents and purposes is over,that too in a single swing,but Syrio was not deterred,as Aegon walked towards syrio,the water dancers twirled around and created two more sea dragons and both his sides and one again turned and made a third one around his body

All three dragons charged at Aegon at the same time,with Syrio himself coiled around by third sea dragon,but just like before with two swings the first two sea dragons were sliced apart but Syrio and the remaining sea dragon is already on Aegon with no time left for him to defend

But somehow Aegon's sword moved incredibly fast and sliced through the sea dragon coming for him,but this swing was not perfect like the rest and the water splashed all around, Syrio too fell to the ground as they sea dragon was destoryed but before he could do anything Aegon's sword is already on his neck

The sword cut Syrio's neck a little as small drop of blood came out,"I yield" said the water dancer in his thick braavosi accent

The battle was over with Aegon's first swing but Stannis respects the water dancer,he was able to push a swordsman of Aegon's caliber to make him miss the last swing
