Ichika was in mid combat against Cecilia as he was trying to find an opening. He thought "She's really not letting up with her attacks."
As he was deflecting Cecilia's attacks , the British girl said "You're defensive tactics have improved since our first battle."
She shoots her missile pods at her opponent but Ichika blast them away with his energy feathers.
With that opening, Ichika uses his ignition boost and the barrier void attack to land the finishing blow to Cecilia.
From the loud speakers a teacher announced "Winner: Ichika Orimura."
Ichika breathed heavily and thought "Seems training is starting to finally paying off. I should even able to give Laura a challenge at this point."
Cecilia chuckles as she says "Looks like you finally got a win against me."
Ichika says "Yeah guess I got pretty good since April. Well I'll see you later."
From the intercom, Rin says "Hold it , you still have that training match against me."
Houki adds "Plus there's also your kendo training."
Ichika says "Sorry but I have to take care of Shiny. So see you in class." He deactivated his unit and ran towards his dorm room.
After taking a shower and plopping onto his bed, Ichika thought "Exactly how did I not realized they liked me earlier. From the special training to the constant flirting it should've been obvious."
Shiny climbed up to Ichika's chest as the teen pet his cat and thought "With only Utsuho and Kaitlynn helping me out, it's hard to pretend to still be completely oblivious."
While looking at the ceiling Ichika tried to think what he should do. Should he continue the facade or tell the girls he know ms about their feelings for him.
He screams into his pillow and thinks "Why the hell does this seem so complicated. Just choose a girl, Orimura. That should be easy, right?"
Suddenly his phone rang and as he answered it he heard a familiar tired voice ask "Hello is this Ichika Orimura?"
Ichika exclaimed "Doctor Maxwell, is that you?"
Dr. Maxwell chuckles as he says "Good seems Wyatt gave me the right number this time. The last time he gave me the number to a stripe club."
Ichika says "Yeah that definition sound like him, but it's not like you to call me out of the blue."
Dr. Maxwell says "Yeah but Wyatt told me of what occurred recently. So as your older male figure, I decided to lend an ear."
Ichika asked "Did Wyatt blackmail you with pictures of you and Ms Yamada making out in your lab."
Shocked the doctor shouts "What that delinquent has pictures, next time I see him I'll punch him in the nose."
Ichika says "Guess that's a no then. But if Wyatt's not with you, where is he?"
Dr. Maxwell answered "He's helping with development back in America while I'm in France discussion funding with the Dunios Cooperation. But enough about that tell me about how you're doing after everything that's happened."
Ichika thinks back and says "Well it's pretty shocking to find out that I'm a clone. Then to be killed by a clone of my sister who is now an adapted sibling. But to make things even more complex, most of my friends are in love with me."
Dr. Maxwell says "Yeah when you put it like that, I'm surprised you're not pulling out your hair."
Ichika sighed as he responds "I was close to a couple of times. But I just don't know what to do with the girls."
Dr. Maxwell says "Well than , guess we have to have another Harem lesson."
Ichika says "You mean those ridiculous lecture you gave me and Wyatt on your first day here."
Dr. Maxwell says "Danforth has a girlfriend and you're stuck thinking who to choose. Obviously Wyatt took my lessons seriously."
Ichika says "Alright Doctor I never been on a date , from the knowledge you acquire through zero experience what should I do?"
Dr Maxwell explains "Look if you don't have romantic feelings for any of these girls, tell them. If you do have feelings for a girl tell her. Either way the longer you prolong your decision the more it will hurt those girls."
Hearing these words helped Ichika slightly but the boy then asked "Okay but what if I do have feelings but I'm not sure for which girl."
This stumped the doctor as he says "Guess Wyatt was right when he said your girl troubles are a hundred times more difficult."
Ichika says "Then you're saying that you have no idea how to help me?"
Dr. Maxwell says "Well you could try thinking about how each girl makes you feel or what you want in a partner."
Ichika sighed as he says "That's still pretty vague advice if you ask me."
Dr. Maxwell responds "Trust me kid , the less complicated the advice I give you the better. I mean I doubt you would've found out anything of this on your-." Suddenly a siren could be heard from the doctor's end.
Concerned Ichika asked "Is everything okay there?"
Dr. Maxwell says "Sorry kid I got to go , just think about what I told you."
Right as the doctor hanged up Ichika thought "Great I'm right where I started ."
The next day after class , Ichika was in an office with Ms Yamada as the teacher said "I'm kinda of surprised at the last minute session."
Ichika says "Well other than Chifuyu, you're kinda of the only other person I could speak to about this."
Ms Yamada takes a seat and says "If that's the case what advice do you need."
Slightly embarrassed Ichika says "A few weeks ago I found out the girls in class have crushes on me. And I have zero clue on what you should do."
Ms Yamada says "I see, guess Ms Orimura wasn't joking. But still I'm sure Wyatt could've given you some advice."
Ichika responds "He's been pretty busy but I did get a call from Doctor Maxwell."
Hearing that name caused Ms Yamada to blush deep red as she nervously asked "O..oh well what did he say?"
Ichika says "Well he mostly just told me to make my move but I'm not sure what move to make."
Ms Yamada takes a second to think and says "Okay, chances are Dr. Maxwell is looking at the situation as something you have to do immediately but love isn't that simple."
Ichika says "But the longer I drag things out , wouldn't that hurt the girls more when I do make a decision."
Ms Yamada says "In some cases yes but girls like Huang and Shinonono had crushes on you for years. If the others have feelings equal to theirs , they probably wouldn't mind."
Ichika nods his head and says "Okay I think I get it, but if I do choose how would I go about making that decision."
Ms Yamada says "If you're going to make that choice it has to be with your heart. There's not other way to make decisions of love."
Ichika thought "Guess for most girls the heart is how the make their decision." He gets out of the chair and says "Thanks for the talk, Ms Yamada."
Slightly Nervous Ms Yamada says "Sure thing and if you could, do you mind t..telling Dr. Maxwell I say hi?"
Confused Ichika says "Sure thing." As he left the room slightly less conflicted than he was earlier.
Later in the day Kaitlynn's phone rang and as she answers she heard the voice of the head of Italy's support team saying "Hey Lynn-Lynn it's been awhile."
Kaitlynn says " Miss Zucchero , it's been a while. What's with the sudden call."
Miss Zucchero says "We got good news for you, the Tempesta Slyph is almost complete and you're going to be the next pilot."
Hesitantly Kaitlynn asked "Wasn't that the unit that blasted off Alicia's arm?"
Miss Zucchero says "No need to worry, the bugs have been fixed so it's a hundred percent safe. Plus with Jiosestaf arrest, you're the next top candidate for usage."
Kaitlynn says "Okay so when will it be ready for full time usage?"
Miss Zucchero says "Well you'll have to come right to the research center the second school ends for basic testing or any tune up."
Kaitlynn says "Yeah those thinks do take a while to get through."
Miss Zucchero says "Anyways I'll see you later and hope you make the best out of the new unit."
