The wedding, although a simple affair, was a lavish one, with only a few guests in attendance. But it held the promise of a bigger celebration to come. Frasier had chosen the

perfect location, a hidden gem of an Italian garden, tucked away where few people would discover it. The location was much more beautiful than anything Daphne had ever

dreamt possible.

After saying their vows and sharing their first kiss as husband and wife, Daphne and Niles danced to a string quartet playing the tune of "Heart and Soul" Daphne kissed Niles

again and again. She was Mrs. Niles Crane, and she loved him unconditionally.

The big day came without warning. Daphne was sitting in a plush chair in the enormous library of Niles' home-their home at the Montana when she felt a sharp pain in her

back. And then another, and another. When she called for Niles, it only took him seconds to arrive at her side and only a few moments to get their already packed luggage

and rush her to the hospital.

In the delivery room Niles was there for her every moment, holding her hand making sure she was comfortable, even when the pain of childbirth was excruciating. But when

she heard the cry of their newborn baby, Daphne forgot all about how much she'd been hurting. The sight of their daughter made it all worth it.

Hours later she was awakened in the hospital room where Niles was still by her side, holding her hand. A nurse entered, carrying their daughter. Although it was technically

the second time she'd seen her daughter, Daphne couldn't help looking at their child as tough seeing her for the first time.

"She's so beautiful." Daphne cried.

"She looks just like you/." Niles said, kissing the baby's forehead.

"She has your blue eyes."

"And your brown hair." Niles finished.

A knock on the door. "May we come in?"

When Frasier and Martin entered the room, they were carrying more gifts and flowers than anyone could possibly need. They kissed Daphne and hugged Niles in

congratulations.

"Can I hold her?" Martin asked.

"Of course." Daphne said. She carefully handed the baby to Martin. "Here's your grandpa, sweetheart."

"Hey, you sure are cute! Yeah!" Martin said, smiling when the baby laughed.

"Okay, now it's Uncle Frasier's turn." Frasier said, cautiously taking the baby from his father. "Oh, she's absolutely beautiful. Just perfect. What's her name?"

Daphne and Niles looked worriedly at each other.

"Oh, well we haven't really talked about that yet, but-."

"Niles, can we call her Summer, since that's when she was created?"

Niles smiled and kissed Daphne. "Summer is a perfect name."

"Absolutely perfect." Frasier agreed.

"It's great!" Martin chimed in.

"Summer Crane." Niles repeated. "I love it. And I love you. All of you. My beautiful wife and daughter, Dad and Frasier. You're the best family I could ask for.

While Niles, Frasier and Martin fussed over Summer Crane's arrival, Daphne closed her eyes, content to dream about how wonderful her life had become, and how wonderful

her future would be.
