Pietro

He missed her.

He missed her so much, it hurt his heart.

Pietro sat in his reinforced cell staring blankly as he thought about Spencer, and just saying her name hurt his poor, broken heart even more. Flashes of his last moments with her flickered through his mind. A shiver ran down his spine remembering that horrible day.

Pietro remembered admiring her as she stood in between the two fighting groups; trying to mend the relationships between both sides. He always admired that about Spencer. She loved everyone so fiercely that it didn't surprise him when Spencer walked out of her hiding spot. He remembered thinking how beautiful she looked; she looked like her former self. She looked determined and strong, it took his breath away.

She wore casual clothing; standing firmly between both groups trying to mediate the situation, to try and stop their team from damaging their relationships any further. Spencer was trying to plead with Tony, to listen to them, to understand that someone had been playing with all of them.

"Can you hear me out? Please?" Spencer pleaded with those beautiful blue eyes of hers.

Pietro watched Tony's face soften; everyone knew Tony had an incredible soft spot for her. Tony opened his mouth to reply to her when Spencer flinched suddenly. Her hand immediately going to her chest, and Pietro felt the dread in his stomach instantly.

Pietro remembers calling her name in concern as he reached for her, "Spencer?"

Spencer turned to him, opening her mouth, before her face contorted into pain. A cry escaping her lips as whatever pain knocked her onto her knees. There was a moment of sheer silence; everyone was dumbfounded for a second watching Spencer fall onto her knees with her beautiful, gaunt face filled with agony.

And Pietro felt his word turning upside down a second later when a scream tore through her mouth; it set everyone into a panic. He remembers the chaos that ensued. Pietro reached her first, of course he did, he wasn't Quicksilver for nothing. He grabbed her twitching body and watched with horror as her veins began turning black, a contrast against her already pale, sickly skin.

Panic is setting into everyone, crowding around Spencer in complete horror. Tony is shouting for help into the intercom as Steve grabs Spencer's flailing arms; Pietro hadn't even realized that Spencer had scratched his face. Pietro couldn't think of anything but that she was dying in his arms. She was dying in his arms. She was dying, was it finally happening? The moment everyone had been dreading had come.

He was terrified.

He was confused, frightened, horrified, and in pain watching Spencer scream and flail in his arms. Why were her veins turning black? "What the fuck do we do!?" Clint demanded over Spencer's pained shrieking; the older man's face was overcome with heartbreak and anger. Was there anything anyone could even do? Tony had been become obsessed with trying to find some relief for Spencer, some explanation to explain her sudden decline in health, but only hit walls.

Black Widow merely stared blankly; watching Spencer. Her face was devoid of any emotion, but Pietro knew how much Spencer meant to Natasha. When it came to Spencer, Nat would destroy everything and anyone for her little spider.

"I-I don't know!" Tony shouted, panicked.

"Bring her to Wakanda!" T'Challa urgently told them, "Whatever illness she has, we can help her!" He urges them.

"How will Wakanda help her?" Tony demanded, a face of doubt on his face.

Pietro remembers the bright beam of light that parts the sky, it landed several feet away from them. It shook the earth violently, and it silenced everyone but Spencer. She's still flailing violently and screaming in agony. From this beam of light, Thor sauntered through in his usual regalia. "Thor?" Steve croaked in shock.

Thor, doesn't utter a word, his eyes are on Spencer's withering form.

The God of Thunder marches forward, parting the crowd around Spencer, and he reaches for her. He places his hand on her forehead and murmurs words that Pietro couldn't understand. Spencer suddenly goes limp in Pietro's arms and there is only stunned silence. Her veins are still jet black and glowing against her sweaty, pale skin.

What felt like a lifetime of Spencer screaming had only been a short minute, perhaps even two minutes.

"Thor? Thor, what are you doing here?" Tony demanded, eyes on Spencer's now sleeping form.

Thor has a grave look on his face, "I must take her," He finally utters to the now quiet group, "To save her life."

Pietro remembers tightening his grip on Spencer, refusing to let her go. Take her where? He had thought.

"Where? Do you know what the hell is going on with her?" It was Wanda that spoke, her voice had been sharp as the look on her face.

Thor stared at Wanda, "To Asgard," Thor gestures to Spencer with some impatience, "Spencer needs to be taken to Asgard where my father will save her life, but I must take her now before she wakes."

"Why?" Pietro remembers asking with fear.

Thor and Pietro stare at one another; A look of compassion overcoming Thor's harsh face, "From what Heimdall and my father have told me Spencer came into contact with the Tesseract which houses the Space Stone. Some energy of that Infinity Stone has become entrapped inside her body, which houses the energy of another Infinity Stone," Thor explained this quickly that Pietro felt he couldn't understand the God, "These two energies have been at war within her body for years since the Battle of New York, slowly deteriorating her body," Thor gestured to Spencer again, "Give her to me, so I can save her life before it is too late, my friend. I do not wish to lose her just as much as you."

Pietro and Steve exchange looks of wariness before coming to a silent agreement; both men allow Thor to effortlessly pick up Spencer. Thor turns on his heel to leave, but it is Steve who calls out after Thor, "Will she live?"

Thor paused his step, "I do not know," Thor utters with pain in his voice, "But I will return with word about her condition soon."

And Pietro remembers staring after Thor with tears in his eyes and his heartbreaking; he remembers Wanda wrapping her arms around him, trying to comfort him, but she too is crying.

A second later, Thor is gone.

The beam of light slamming through the sky and onto Thor.

Another second later, the beam was gone, and with it Thor and Spencer.

Now, Pietro replays that day over and over again. There is nothing that keeps him sane in this cell but memories of Spencer. Her dimpled smile, her vibrant blue eyes shining at him, or the sweet smell of her favorite perfume. He remembers her quick-temper, her devious giggles when tormenting Sam, and remembers his more intimate moments with her; it makes his cold skin feel warm.

It reminds him that Spencer might still be alive.

Reminds him that he can't give up until Thor tells Pietro himself that Spencer was alive or...dead.

Pietro feels the tears in his eyes instantly; his heart aching in protest.

He shakes his head to get rid of those dark thoughts and continues to daydream about his beautiful woman. It wasn't until a few hours later did something remarkable happen; Steve rescued them from the Raft. Somehow, some way, Steve found the location of the Raft and busted in by himself to set them all free. Pietro had never been happier to see Steve until that day.

It wasn't until Steve managed to get them off the Raft and into a safe location did Steve told them an update on Spencer.

"Thor returned," Steve murmured; he has his arms crossed across his chest in the cave that they had taken refuge in; they were necessities, beds, a kitchen, and a full stock of food, and water, "He managed to find me to tell me about Spencer," But Steve was looking at Pietro; who had been worse for wear compared to the others.

Spencer's sudden departure had affected everyone, but not nearly as hard as it did Pietro.

"And?" Wanda demanded impatiently, but her face was full of fear and dread.

Clint is quiet, eyes intently on Steve.

Sam and Lang awaiting the news with bated breath.

Steve blinked away tears, but smiled softly, "She made it, she's alive."

And Pietro had never felt such sweet relief before wash over him. Wanda gasps in joy, hand over her mouth, and tears in her eyes. Pietro felt his twin hug him tightly and Pietro returns the hug with equal fervor; his heart's beating quickly in his chest as if the news had brought his heart back to life.

"Our girl is alive," Steve said with a smile so bright that for the moment it melted everyone's fears in regard to Spencer.

Clint 's stiff posture sags in great relief, "When is she coming back?" Clint asked eagerly.

"Thor says her body needs time to recover, it was a severely traumatic experience for her. So far she's been asleep for two months and still hasn't awoken, but from what Thor tells me he believes Spencer's abilities have changed," Steve explained to them with a puzzled look overcoming his face.

"Is that possible?" Lang asked, head tilted to the side.

"I'm not sure," Steve confesses glancing at Wanda, "Would you know anything about that?"

Wanda pursued her lips in thought, "I'd believe it would be possible," Wanda says quietly, "Our powers are always evolving and growing alongside us, they are a part of us, so as we grow, they do. I would imagine her powers are evolving to better suit Spencer; it isn't as farfetch as you'd think,"

"And?" Sam gestured for Steve to continue the Spencer report.

"Thor's father wants to keep Spencer on Asgard until she learns to control her new powers," Steve looked a bit sour at this part, "Thor agrees, and although I want Spencer to come home…" Steve gestures around the group, "We aren't exactly…" He pauses and sighs, "As far as what Nat has told me, and yes, I've been in contact with her; She says that Spencer isn't labeled a criminal. So, if she were to return home, she wouldn't be thrown into a prison."

"But you know she'd raised hell once she finds about us," Sam chuckled; it made everyone smile because it would one hundred percent happen, "So, what happens now? We play the waiting game until she comes back? What about Tony? You'll think he'll let her go?" Sam asked with a bit of a sour tone.

"As if Tony could hold back Spencer," Wanda remarked hotly with a smirk, "As much as we love Spencer, and she loves us, she isn't coming back for us," Wanda gestures to the group except Pietro, "She's coming back for him," Wanda points to him with a sultry grin.

Sam pressed his lips together to stop himself from laughing at the incredulous look on Steve's face, Clint is smirking plainly, and Lang has his mouth formed in an O. Pietro couldn't help but to smirk; matching Wanda's smirk almost perfectly once Steve and him locked eyes. "Yeah, but I'm close second, right?" Steve asked Pietro in a strained voice. It was funny how quick Captain America went from breaking them out of a prison on his own to an insecure best friend asking for reassurance.

"Oh, yeah," Pietro bobbed his head up and down, "Close second."

Clint rolled his eyes at this, "We all know Spencer loves me the most."

"Are we really playing this game?" Sam asked blankly, this would literally start another civil war.

Pietro laughed, his heart for once not aching in heart-break. His little princezná survived what should have killed her, she was healthy, and she would be back stronger than ever. That meant Pietro had to become stronger in order to keep up with his princezná. Pietro glanced over at his twin, "You know we can't let Spencer surpass us," Pietro drawled with a lazy smirk.

Wanda leveled him with a wicked grin, "I like the way you think, brother."
