Ida's POV

Peter calls Sebastian and me to tell us the Willow has been captured by Ms. Witter. At first, I am in shock, then, my brain runs wild.

"What if it's a trap?" I think.

Sebastian squeezes my hand as he sits next to me. We gear up and meet the others.

Abby, Daisy, and Peter wander one way, Delilah and James another, and Sebastian and me down the third way.

Our path is dark, lit only by small lanterns lining the walls. Sebastian grabs my hand, turning me to kiss him. We stay in the shadows like that. Until we hear a noise.

"Ida?" my heart stops.

I recognize that voice. It can't be him though, he died when I was eight. No, it could not be him, I decide. He died.

Tears stream down my face as I peek out from behind Sebastian. It was him. The same dark brown hair and gray eyes. How? I stand there, confused. How? My brain is clouded with thoughts from the past. It couldn't be. He died. I saw the letter. The one that pronounced his death. I didn't know what it really meant then. I'm still not sure if I do now, not after this.

He runs forward and mouths," I'm sorry."
