A/N: Another for the road!

IFR: Tsuande was snooping on some files...what did she find?

"Well?"

"Well?" Tsuanade replied with a sigh and eyeroll as she leaned down and took a brown envelope from her bag on the floor.

The female tsked and threw the envelope of unmarked bills toward the two gentlemen aggressively and remained silent as one member picked it up and counted. Satisfied they surrendered the requested information she had ordered.

The female stared at it for a bit in deep thought, arousing curiosity from the other guest in the room to her displeasure.

"You don't seem as excited about this information as you were before. What changed?"

The hawk looked up with a slight glare before unsealing the document and looking through it quietly with a frown.

"I was right. Naruto Umino...originally Uzumaki. Son of Minato Uzumaki...that human."

Her words was rewarded with a whistle by the one of the males as he peaked around the messy abandoned joint they met in.

"What an aggressive way to talk about your boss, Boss."

"Looked into my background?" The hawk relied nonchalantly. It didn't matter if they looked. That's what half the money was for.

Their silence

"Is there any reason we shouldn't?~" he teased with a grin.

"I got what I needed Kiba. Your presence here is no longer desired. Thank you for your service. I added more for cutting our contract short." She replied with a sigh, examining all exits of the abandoned apartment they met in.

The dog alpha chuckled in response as he kicked a piece of trash among the many littered in the small decrepit room before taking up a thinking pose with a large tooth smile.

"Yeah yeah...cash is good. Cash is nice~"

"...it sounds like there's a but at the end of that sentence." Tsunade grimaced as she put the files in her bag and kept her eyes on the door.

These men did anything for money after all.

"Don't take us for fools birdbrain. We can smell an omega when we see one. Did you honestly think we wouldn't notice? We are the best of the best when it comes to hybrid hunting, dear."

The hawk frown and glared over at the pair, her focus more on the quiet one who merely stood and watched the conversation with an empty smile in agreement.

"Don't touch him." She bite out.

She wanted to leave but their words were of a concerning nature.

She knew who Naruto was through Sakura...but until now she didn't fully know who he was.

As much as she felt this was for the better of her species she knew for a fact her plans needed to change...and change drastically now that these two were in the picture.

Things were different now. The information she received today was simply conformation of such.

Her plan was to expose the boy to the public and unveil the underlying dark truths of the Council but now she could never allow a hair on that boy's head to be touched.

The beta's throat became dry when the loud dog's partner stepped out of the dark corner over to her, stopping directly before her.

Backing up would mean she was scared.

Thus she dare not move, even when his voice sent shivers down her spine.

"Even if we do, there isn't anything you'd be able to do about it though. You're going behind the Council's back and the public can't know of his existence. What are you going to do? Stop us yourself? These aren't your glory days anymore. Stick to what you're good at. Letting people die."

"Sai..."

Anger...yet it wasn't directed at him but herself. This wasn't the first time she hired the pair for stuff but each and every time this hard to read male got under her skin. She could never tell what the fucker was thinking.

"Yes?"

The tall dark hair male replied with another empty smile as though taunting the grown woman before him.

"You're not even a hybrid. What do you get out of touching him?"

"Mhmm~" The male taped his chin in fake thought, "...entertainment I guess. Who knows... he might be fun?"

The two other people in the room sorta cringed at the response, one followed with a sudden bolt of uncontrolled laugher afterward, bring the dog to his knees in playful pain.

The beta glared over before resuming eye contact with the cocky child before her.

"Do. Not. Touch. Him. That's not what I'm paid you for. You're a smart man after all. You know there is no real benefit in going against me for a mere thrill. Back off. You already got the money. Carry out your part of the deal."

Tsunade tried her best to sound as threatening as she could. There was no real anger backing the statement, just a desire to quickly escape the situation right now. In the moment she more felt frustrated and pathetic...and a bit betrayed.

Having got what she wanted, she swiftly turned and left the apartment, bolting down the broken stairs and hopped into her car.

She quickly speed away to escape the unwanted eyes watching her through the window.

She could feel her resolve weakening completely as the evidence laid in the back seat of her car of her suspicions.

If she had know from the beginning she wondered if she would have started all of this.

'Had I known...he was your son Kushina... fuck'

Tsunade recalled the confusion she felt going through those files the other day. Finding out the hard way that one of her closest friends had passed but the baby bump she watched grow bigger and bigger over the span of month...didn't.

The child lived and...they refused to tell her..and what worst is that the boy was a medical impossibility made possible.

An pure breed hybrid omega born of a human and hybrid.

'Fuck.'

She had already hired the pair before then and had been praying with every bone in her body was wrong.

What had she done?

'That would explain so much. I thought the baby died too...and now...'

Another curse as she slammed the pedal, zooming through the city.

She'd lost alot and come to regret alot in her life because she never had the power to save anyone.

She lost Kushina as well...but she'd be damned if she lost her great nephew too!

'No more mistakes.'

"Minato!...I...I-..why..didn't you tell me?" A thousand words at once and yet that was all she could choke out when she forced her way into the man's office having sped for miles.

The male looked up at her and sighed, dropping all he had in hand on his desk and dedicating his full attention to the female.

"Who's asking?"

She tried to calm her breath as she walked closer having rushed over as fast as she could.

"A friend..."

"Friends don't do what you did Tsunade."

"Your views were unrealistic! We needed to take action!" She tried to defend but even she knew now was not the time for it.

"And you did what you thought was best despite who it hurt. I merely did the same...didn't I?"

The beta bit her lip in response and glared at the ground a bit.

She didn't know what she expected rushing over here. Her actions in the past wouldn't have changed...but...she did something wrong. She needed to at least right one wrong...but she couldn't..even find the words she needed to say.

"Do you regret it all now? Do you still truly feel the same as you did back then?..having seen so many die?"

Back then she was the Head Councilman. She thought she was doing the right thing for the preservation of the hybrid species and was voted out and demoted. She was blinded by her desire to save all of those dying that...she didn't realize how many she was sending to die for the cause..and even now..she was still so blind.

The campaigning..

The capturing..

'Oh god...the labs.'

"Kushin-"

"The past is the past, however," He interrupted, standing from his seat. "Kushina would have wanted me to forgive you a long time ago...but I was stubborn. I am at fault for that."

"No...I deserved it. It was all my fault. I don't deserve forgiveness for my crimes."

"I also agree but we both know my wife would have said otherwise. Earn my forgiveness, Tsunade." He smiled over to her softly before returning to his hardened expression he had developed over many years.

'Could I really...be forgiven?'

The hawk felt her fist clench a bit at the statement and bit back her urge to cry. She didn't deserve to cry. Right now she had something to protect. It was literally the least she could do.

"Since you dug around on your own. The only logical explanation as to why you are here...you would know that we have other matters to deal with."

"Kiba and Sai-"

"Are no longer real threats."

"What?" The blonde was a bit taken aback, not by the fact that the male already knew but that he considered two of this generation's most dangerous men a non-threat.

"What is the plan then?"

"I have someone set to deal with that matter already."

He leaned over his desk, pressing the small call button for his receptionist to send the waiting guest that Tsuande zoomed past in.

The door soon then swing open and a tall built male entered the room.

No.

Correction.

An Alpha, entered the room.

Tsunade felt her feet almost buckle beneath her and unknowingly found herself backing up the the more the alpha walked into the room.

She felt like she couldn't breathe as deep soulless green eyes stared into her own before turning away voluntarily.

Even when that creature's focus wasn't on her any longer...it feeling of fear still remained.

She worked hard to force herself to speak, barely able to get her voice out properly.

"Whaat...is that?"

"That, Tsuande, is Red...Naruto's true mate. He will deal with the pressing matters of your little goffers. As for you Tsunade."

The female felt another bolt of fear coat her body as she looked over to the Head, smiling down at her in her bent position near his desk. For some reason...she felt whatever followed, would weigh heavy on her life.

"I have other plans for you."

A fucking heavy one

"He's a...what?"
