Chapter 42:

Preparation

"Amin-chan, hold my bag."

Seto looked over at Ana as she held out her bag to him and noticed her "I've had enough of this shit I'm going to kill someone look." His first thought was Damn, she's hot. That thought quickly disappeared with the upcoming issues. He didn't stop her. In fact, he took her bag without a word. Now that I think about it, I've never seen Ana actually fight or practice Judo. If she's bad at it, I'll need to jump in and…

He blinked, and Ana disapeared from his side, calmly strolling over to the pink-haired girl. He couldn't see Ana's face, but he could see that the pink-haired girl and her friends seemed confused when they looked at her. That confusion distracted them. Ana grabbed the idol's collar, turned around, and with ease flipped the girl over her shoulder. The idol landed on her back with a loud thud and a "gack!"

Well, hot damn. Ana quickly descended on the girl and locked her head with her legs and held onto her arm. It was only then Seto realized Ana was doing these moves in a skirt, but to his surprise and relief she was wearing shorts underneath. Does she always wear shorts under her skirt in case of a fight? Ana looked up at the idol's friends, who seemed shock.

"Unless you want me to break her arm, place every copy of the photo, including your cell phones on the ground. Now." Anatwisted the girl's arm a little, making her whimper.

The girls quickly did as she said, pulling out the flyers from their bags and placed their cells on the ground. Ana released the girl, but before she did, she took her cell phone from her pocket. Ana took the phones and the flyers, then walked over to Seto. She handed him the phones.

"Be a dear and find the copies of the picture, would you?" Ana's smile was strained.

Seto stood there for a split second before he laughed loudly. He pulled out his phone and quickly broke through the security of the others and found the photos.

"I'm guessing you want them as evidence?" Seto looked up and saw Ana texting someone.

"Uh huh," she said mindlessly as she her fingers flew over the keyboard.

"Minami-sama? Who did this to you?"

Seto looked over and saw the purple-haired boy and his gang again.

Ana turned to look at the group and smiled. "She was slandering me, so I did. Are you going to defend her? If you are, I'd be more than happy to put you all on your backs as well?"

The purple-haired boy's eyes widened in surprise. Seto would have laughed, but he was busy messaging Inu.

Seto: Inu, I need you to look into a small idol that goes to my school named Minami. Now.

Inu: Right away. What would you like me to specifically do?

Seto: Make her insignificant.

He looked back up at the guys, but they didn't have time to do much other than help a very dazed Minami up because the teachers came running. Before much could be said, he, Ana, Minami and her two friends were whisked away to the dean's office. They confiscated everyone's phones, except Seto's because he threatened to sue them since his contained corporate information. They were placed in chairs out in the hall and called in one by one, starting with him.

"Kaiba-san," the chubby balding dean with a cleft chin who Seto had spoken with once or twice, looked as if he'd melt away from stress. "What happened?"

"The short version is one of my stalkers sent her minions after my girlfriend," Seto answered flatly.

The dean frowned. "What happened in the hall?"

"Justice."

The man looked ready to cry. "Alright, go back out into the hall and wait."

Seto did as he said, and the dean called in Ana next. The pink-haired girl glared at the back of her head until she noticed Seto scowling at her. She flinched and looked at the ground. His phone buzzed, and he opened the message.

Inu: I'm sorry, sir. But I can't find anyone named Minami who works as an idol or anyone by that name who goes to your school.

Seto blinked a few times. What? How's that possible? He shot a look at Minami before looking back at his phone. Maybe she's using a fake name. Ana was in the office for only a couple minutes before she came back out and sat next to Seto calmly. Minami was the next to go in. Within a couple minutes, she burst out of the office crying and ran away. Her friends looked after her, perplexed. The other two girls went in one by one and came out with their heads hung low. Before they left, they gave Ana a frightened look.

The dean popped his head out the door. "You two can head back to class."

Seto was confused, and he didn't like it. Ana stood up and headed back to class, he followed.

"Ana-chan, what just happened?" Seto frowned.

She bubbled. "Justice."

Seto tugged on her sleeve, making her stop. "No, I mean, how did this end so easily. I was ready to go on a blackmailing spree, but it seems like this wrapped up before I could do anything."

Ana smirked at him. "What? Feeling a little useless?"

He scowled at her, but Ana laughed.

"Don't worry. You're not useless. This just shows how good I am." Ana's eyes flashed victoriously.

"Explain." He hated not being in the loop. "I had Inu-san look up Minami-san, but she didn't exist."

Ana held up her phone that the dean had returned to her. "Well… I sent those pictures to the owner of her agency and they fired her, but as per my request, they did it quietly. So, they made it like she never had a career in the first place. I'm not completely heartless. She can still get a normal job later, like a normal person. Hehe. Though that may be far worse than if they'd slandered her as an idol."

"You know the owner of an idol agency?" Seto frowned, perplexed.

"She's Hikari's childhood friend. She opened her own agency when she was sixteen. My family was the one who loaned her the initial startup money. She's been very successful." Ana grinned. "I told you, Amin-chan. I know everyone in this city and then some."

"Ok, so what happened to those other girls and why weren't you punished for starting a fight? I thought I was going to have to pressure the dean."

Ana sighed, then laughed. "I can take care of my own problems, Amin-chan. I don't always need to be saved. Minami-san was expelled and will have to transfer schools. I don't want to see her face ever again. The other girls were suspended, which is going to suck for them since they'll miss finals. They'll have to take the summer make up tests. I'm the victim and I'm not being punished…. I messaged Mizuki-oneechan and told her what was going on."

"My landlord?"

Ana chuckled. "She's the dean's wife."

Seto didn't know what face he made, but Ana laughed at him. He thought back to how his landlord looked. She was a powerhouse business woman with long black hair and a curvy body. Not really his type, but he found it hard that the dean could land a woman like that.

"How?"

"Their childhood friends and Mizuki-oneechan really don't care about looks. She needed someone who wouldn't oppose her business." Ana read his mind. "Any other questions?"

"How was she able to convince the dean not to suspend you for fighting?" Seto pinched the bridge of his nose and could feel a headache coming on.

This made Ana grin. "What are you talking about, Amin-chan? Don't underestimate the power of a wife."

Ana turned and walked off. Seto followed, feeling exhausted and peeved that he'd been useless this time. Despite that, he was impressed. My girlfriend really is something. When they got back to the classroom despite Gido's best efforts, the class swarmed them asking what happened. Ana laughed as a very panicked Arata led the way. She calmly told them that she wasn't in trouble and to get back to their seats since finals were in two days. Ana broke through the crowd and Seto followed. Since they didn't seem like they'd answer anymore, they left them alone and class resumed as normal.

He ate alone as usual, which he was thankful for since it seemed like his classmates would be extra annoying today. As he devoured his lunch in his spot outside, he heard someone walk around the corner. Hopeful it was Ana he looked up, but was disappointed to find Arata.

"What?" Seto growled.

Arata fidgeted. "Sorry about this morning. I didn't have time to stop them."

"Who said I need you to protect me or my girlfriend." Seto stood up and glared down at the boy.

He wasn't really phased. "True, you and Sakurai-san don't really seem to need help to protect yourselves, but I still don't like it when people hurt my friends."

"I'm not your friend."

Arata tilted his head. "Sakurai-san is."

He sighed at his blatant statement.

Arata continued. "Anyway, I felt bad about it after making such a huge show last week. I feel like I may have just added fuel to the fire."

"If it wasn't a crazy ass stalker with a "I-am-the-center-of-the-world" complex then it probably would have worked." Seto sighed.

He looked at him surprised, then grinned. "Are you saying that I did good then?"

"Shut up, Arata-kun. You're still super annoying." Seto snapped and picked up his empty bento.

"Oh, is… You called me by my name!" His eyes lit up. "Does that mean we're friends now?"

Seto glared at him and shoved him out of the way. "Don't push it."

Arata followed him back to the classroom with a bright puppy dog face the entire way. Frick' what can of worms did I open?
