"You want to join the idol group?"
"Maybe?"
"Why don't you?"
"Because... what if they don't want someone like me in the group?"
"Eh? Don't think like that! I'm sure they'd want you!"
"I don't know..."
"Come on, we're asking them to join."
"H-huh? R-Rin-chan?!"
This was not the situation Hanayo expected to end up in. But now here she was, being dragged through the school to go try and join an idol group. She couldn't find her voice to protest. She was scared.
Being trans wasn't easy. She never made a lot of friends because of that. Never put herself in the spotlight much. But if she joined this group, she definitely would be in the spotlight. And that was intimidating to her.
"Look, there's one of them."
And now it was time. Hanayo would rather be anywhere else but where she was now. This was way too nervewracking for her to handle.
"Hello! Do you have a minute to talk?"
"Huh? Sure. What's up?"
They had run into Honoka currently. It was only her around at the moment.
"Are you looking for more members for your idol group?" Rin asked.
"You wanna join?" Honoka questioned in reply.
"Yep. Right, Kayo-chin?"
Hanayo froze up. She couldn't find her voice. She needed to say something. But she couldn't. She ended up giving a nervous nod.
"If you come up to the roof with me we can discuss it with everyone." Honoka stated with a smile.
"U-um... I... I'm... I'm trans... is... is that... is that okay...?"
Hanayo couldn't bring herself to look anywhere but at the ground. She was scared to see the reaction. This was the first time she ever told anyone about being trans. She was always afraid of rejection.
"Hmm? Oh. That's fine. Anyone is welcome to join."
"R-really?"
"Yep! Come on." Honoka held out her hands to both of them.
Hanayo nervously glanced over at Rin. Rin smiled at her. After a moment, they both reached out and took her hands.
It was time to start a new adventure.
