The fight heated up fast. Cap had sensed through his power the Persians wanted the harvest for themselves to fund their anti Israel operations. That made all the sense in the world. This had likely played a big part on why Sabra had come here. Beyond the obvious. Cap's actions from long ago had helped pave the way for Israel's creation. Cap in some ways was tied to that fate. Not as old cap anymore but as nomad he could freely go between those aspects without any conflicted sense of loyalty. As cap he'd represented America. As nomad he represented an ideal. And that ideal could go anywhere. It was as nomadic as he was. Cap loved being nomad with every passing day. It had been the right move beyond measure. He was certain of that. Nomadism was him now.

And with each new Persian he killed only served to reaffirm that. But it had to be personal. He needed to look the Persians in the eye as he smashed them down with his laconian armor device. He wanted them to see the Spartan symbol as he bashed them down with it. It wouldn't mean anything to them in that sense. But it didn't matter. He'd still beat them down regardless.

He took out another technical with the big gun before leaping away from the truck as sabra drove around the remaining Persians to flank them. Cap increased his running speed and closed the gap to the next technical.

The next baddie truck spun its big gun at cap's swiftly incoming presence but cap had already let his shield take flight. It struck the gunner in the head to kill him before then hitting the other hitters in the same truck without mercy. By the time cap reached the shield assaulted truck the Persian crew was dead and his shield flew right back to him.

Sabra had rammed her truck into another baddie truck and went super soldier on those Persians. Cap watched from where he was as she engaged them. Her moves were very much like Nat's as he'd thought earlier. She disposed of them easily enough with little trouble.

One baddie truck remained. This time she brought up a Mossad assault compact similar to the shield version and fired a compact grenade from its underside barrel launcher. The baddie truck was moving too fast to evade Sabra's enhanced timing. The grenade hit the engine block precisely as intended and blew the truck and them to pieces.

This fight was over. All the Iranians were dead. Cap reached out with his power to confirm it. It was true. She drove the former Sunni truck back to him after using it to kill Shia equivalents. She stopped by his still shield adorned form. "We clear?" He nodded. "Yeah. We are." "Hop in then. I have some ideas." "Ideas." "Trust me." He did. He collapsed the shield and hopped back on, assuming the big gun again. She drove them back for the village.

"We should leave here." "What're you talking about?" Sabra made tea for them both back at the structure they shared for now. She handed him a cup as she said this and took a seat facing him. She exhaled. "There's nothing we can really do here; even for the troops." "I don't know. I think we already did some good not that long ago. Seeing those bastards die by a remnant of Sparta didn't hurt either."

"True; but this is still an American conflict. New nation or not." "These men are my brothers." "Yes. But there might be better ways to help them." Cap frowned a little. "What're you getting at Sabra?" "Come to Israel. I've been authorized by the Knesset to allow you entry. You are an officially designated righteous gentile."

Cap was familiar with the term. It was a great honor. Those whom had directly saved lives during the Shoah were called that too. Cap had only liberated the death camps. Those other people had been ordinary and been behind enemy lines. They'd risked more in his view. But apparently Israel disagreed.

"Israel would benefit from your experience and tactical prowess. The dangers we face from Iran and others is still very real. You are also an angel of Elohim. That is not a coincidence."

He exhaled. He drank some tea before standing and going to a window in thought. Sabra watched him do so. "You mean a lot to the Israeli people Steve; even more so now because of your attained angel hood. That is not by accident. With Elohim nothing is."

Cap couldn't deny the possibilities. And the Jews were the chosen people. Cap didn't need to be Jewish to get that. He knew his Bible well enough. "You saved America again. Help save Israel. A nation you helped make a reality."

He faced her. "All right."

A Mossad transport jet landed just outside the settlement that night and they took off in it shortly later. Their next stop: Tel Aviv. Mossad HQ.

Nomad indeed…
