Spencer wasn't sure how Loki, disguised as Odin, got her to come to the opening of his new play that he wrote for technically himself. As much as Spencer wanted to strangle the Trickster, she had to act oblivious. Her mentor and companion, Sif wouldn't be caught dead watching Loki's play so, the older woman faked illness and left Spencer to fend on her own with Odin.
So, here Spencer was sitting in her own plush, comfy sofa beside Odin's own sofa, surrounded by women feeding him. Spencer tried her best not to scowl or roll her eyes at everything happening in the play. An awning was over Spencer's head, shielding her from the sun. Poor thing was bored out of her mind at the moment. A part of wondered if she could cause a sudden downpour, but knew Loki would know that it had been caused by Spencer.
Spencer shifted in her seat and popped a grape into her mouth in sheer boredom; Odin had volunteered one of his entourage to feed Spencer, but Spencer politely declined. Though, the girl who had been volunteered did look a bit disappointed by Spencer's rejection.
Spencer's musings came back when Odin was giggling and eating a grape, "Twas indeed hilarious," Odin snickered at no one in particular.
Spencer's right eye twitched; a hum of electricity pooled at her fingertips in response.
The crowd erupts in rapturous applause, cooling Spencer's murderous tendencies. The actors bow. Odin stands up, leading the crowd into a standing ovation even though the majority of the crowd had been on their feet. Spencer politely claps, but remains sitting down; Spencer just wanted to go back to her cabin and daydream about Pietro. She wasn't in the mood to deal with Loki and his antics.
Spencer is busy staring off into the distance when she hears a distinctively clear voice, "Father," It was Thor!
Her head snaps towards her friend; who is looking a bit rough and is dragging along a skull wrapped in thick chains, "Thor!" Spencer cries out in relief.
She distinctively hears Odin aka Loki mutter, "Oh shit,"
Spencer throws herself into Thor's waiting arms, "Little one," Thor affectionately greets her, though his glare is settled on his father, "You look well," Thor tells her, glancing down at her with a genuine smile.
"My son, Thor, has returned!" Odin proclaims loudly to the crowd.
The crowd claps and awes in greeting of their prince.
Thor gently lets go of Spencer and walks towards the stage with a curious look in his eyes, "It's an interesting play," Thor comments, "What is it called?" Spencer cocked her head to the side, noticing Thor's behavior and tone.
Spencer grins wickedly as the realization hits her.
Thor knows!
"The Tragedy of Loki of Asgard. The people wanted to commemorate him," Odin replies swiftly and easily. Spencer reframes from rolling her eyes or scoffing at these words.
Thor nods in agreement, "Indeed, they should," Thor muses and turns to Odin with a smug look and points to the golden statue of Loki, "I like that statue," Thor comments offhandedly, "A lot better looking than he was when he was alive, though."
Spencer smirked and giggled silently.
"A little less weasely. Less greasy maybe," Thor continues in provoking Odin.
Odin sours, masking his agitation quickly with an awkward chuckle. Odin throws a quick look towards Spencer; the smug look on her face tells Odin everything; Spencer knew too.
"Do you know what this is?" Thor holds up the skull he was lugging around in chains.
Spencer eyed it curiously.
"Oh!" Odin says feigning surprise, "The skull of Surtur. That's a formidable weapon," Odin praises with an easy smile as Thor beckons one of the guards over.
"Do me a favor. Lock this in a vault, so it doesn't turn into a giant monster and destroy the whole planet," Thor says to the guard and Spencer cocks an eyebrow at Thor's words; as the guard takes the skull from Thor and walks by, Spencer pokes it.
"Oh," Odin gives his cup to the woman at his side, "So, I assume you've come back to return Spencer to Midgard?" Odin questions with a faux smile.
Thor is throwing Mjölnir up into the air, letting the hammer spin mid-air, before catching the handle and throwing it back up in a menacing manner, "Nope, I have not come to return Spencer to Midgard," Thor throws a smile in her direction before continuing, "I've been having this recurring dream lately," Thor keeps flinging Mjölnir in and out of his hand with ease and Odin is beginning to look a bit nervous now, "Every night I see Asgard fall into ruins," Thor trails off as he approaches his father.
Odin chuckles softly, "That's just a silly dream," Odin glances around, "Signs of an overactive imagination," He says to no one in particular.
"Possibly," Thor shrugs and gets closer to his father, "Possibly... but then I decide to go out there and investigate. And what do I find, but the Nine Realms completely in chaos. Enemies of Asgard assembling, plotting our demise, all while you, Odin, the protector of those Nine Realms, are sitting here in your bathrobe, eating grapes."
Spencer's nerves were excited, and she was grinning at how quickly Thor was unmasking Loki's scheme. The crowd was watching; keeping their voices low whilst listening to Thor speak.
"Yes," Odin fumbles, "It is best to respect our neighbor's freedom!" He weakly states.
Thor gives a sly smile, "Yes, of course, the freedom to be massacred," Thor flings Mjölnir right past Odin's head; Odin moves out of the way instinctively while the crowds gasps.
"Yes, besides I've been rather busy," Odin inserts a bit more firmly; trying to regain composure.
"Watching theater," Thor muses bitterly.
"Board meetings, and security council meetings…" Odin says staring up at Thor who is coming closer and closer.
Spencer is almost bouncing in excitement now. She's chanting for Thor in her head vigorously; Clint would pay to see this interaction right now!
Thor inches his face closer to his father's, "You really going to make me do it?" Thor rumbles in warning.
Loki, being an idiot, stupidly asks, "Do what?"
Thor stares at his father with disappointed before Thor spins Mjölnir and then hurls it off into the distance; everyone watches with rapt attention, "You know that nothing will stop Mjölnir as it returns to my hand," Thor speaks moving behind Odin and grabbing his father by the back of the neck. Odin's royal attendants gasp in shock. The bodyguards rush Thor, but Spencer with a snap of her dainty fingers keeps them away from her friend by creating a circle of strong winds around Thor.
Mjölnir stops mid-air and starts charging back to Thor's awaiting hand.
"Not even your face," Thor growls to Loki.
Odin struggles against Thor's death-grip, "You've gone quite mad," Odin's good eye flickers to Spencer, "You'll be executed for this! Both of you!" Odin spits out angrily.
Mjölnir approaches at a terrifying speed as Odin struggles.
Spencer watches on with a gleeful smirk and leans against the pillar of the awning.
"Then I'll see you on the other side...brother," Thor adds without remorse as Mjölnir comes dangerously closer.
It takes Loki a few seconds before shouting, "Alright, I yield!" A shimmer melts the Allfather away to reveal Loki. Thor shoves Loki to the side and catches Mjölnir. Loki looks to Thor, hands up defensively. Everyone is gasping and staring at Loki in disbelief now. Spencer just beams happily; this was better than Spencer had daydreamed about! "Good shit, Thor!" Spencer cheered, earning a glare from Loki.
Right as Loki was going to speak, someone charges through the crowd, "Behold!" Oh, it was the guy who replaced Heimdall, Skarge or something, "Thor Odinson!" He was panting; he must've run all the way over here from the Bifrost!
Loki snaps his fingers, "No," Now, Loki looks extremely peeved right now, "You had one job!" Loki glares at Skarge, "Just the one!" Poor guy, not his fault Thor had Mjölnir and could fly!
Loki turns on his heel to face Thor again, this time Spencer is now at Thor's side, giving Loki a look full of attitude. "You just couldn't stay away, could you? Everything was fine without you," Loki gestures around, "Asgard was prospering!" Loki steps towards the duo, "You've ruined everything!"
"What a man-child," Spencer mutters to Thor.
"Where's Father?" Thor snarls charging at Loki like a raging bull.
Loki stumbles over and scurries away from Thor; but Thor doesn't give up. "Did you kill him?" Thor snarls angrily.
Loki is stumbling to get away from his charging brother, "You had the independence you asked for!" Loki tries to tell Thor, but Thor is not having none of it. The Trickster stumbles over the chaise he had been lounging on earlier and Thor presses his mighty hammer against Loki's chest, "Ow, ow, ow!"
Spencer peered around Thor's hulking form, "I think you should tell him where the Allfather is," Spencer casually tells Loki.
Loki glares at her mildly and redirects his attention to Thor who presses Mjölnir a little more against Loki's chest, "Okay, I know exactly where he is!" Loki relents finally.
Thor pulls Mjölnir away with a satisfied look, "Good, now take us there." Thor rumbles.
"Us?" Spencer perks up.
Loki winces as he sits up, "You might as well," His voice a little bitter as he rubs his chest, "I left Father on earth."
Spencer's mouth drops open, "We're going to Earth!?" She shrieks happily.
"You left Father on Earth?!" Thor boomed.
Loki gave a weak smile.
Spencer left Thor and Loki to fly back to little cabin to grab her Going Back to Midgard and Never Possibly Coming Back to Asgard backpack. A part of her lamented that she would never be able to come back to her little cozy cabin on this little cute island, but she was finally going home!
She was going to see all of her friends and Pietro! It had been so long! How long had it been? Almost a year? Had it truly been that long? Spencer pondered her time here as she hurriedly looked around for anything else she'd wanted to bring back with her. Thor and Loki were heading to the Bifrost, she only had a few minutes.
She grabbed her cloak; Sif had it tailored for Spencer with some enhancements. It was in typical Asgard fashion but modified to fit Spencer's personality. It was a deep blue color and made her eyes pop. Spencer stuffed that into her backpack; which had been enchanted by Odin aka Loki a few months prior to be able to hold anything and everything Spencer wanted.
It was similar to the Extension Charm Hermione had on her purse when the Golden Trio was on the run from Voldemort in the Deathly Hallows.
Spencer had spent months committing everything she could to memory; her cabin, the islands, the mountains, the Palace, the training grounds, and everything in between so, that she could paint this later when she was back on Midgard. She wanted to show everyone the grandeur of Asgard. Before leaving, Spencer placed a sealed letter addressed to Sif on the living room table. Of course, Spencer had written this letter months prior, just in case she had to leave suddenly. Spencer fondly placed the letter down and left.
She flew back just as Loki and Thor were sauntering up the Bifrost.
Thor watched her approach with interest, "You can fly now," Thor sounds proud and Spencer blushes at his praise, "I am saddened that our time together will come to an end," Thor tells her, reaching out to pet the top of Spencer's head, "I may not be able to visit as often I would like after we retrieve Father," Thor explains to her.
Spencer smiles fondly at Thor, "You'll be busy," Humorously, Spencer and Thor throw a dry look at Loki who glares back at them, "Cleaning up his mess."
"I saved your life," Loki tells her plainly, "Don't I deserve some gratitude?"
Spencer levels Loki with a blank stare, "I never asked for you to save me," Spencer's voice was surprisingly soft, "But do not doubt that I am not grateful for what you chose to do out of your own free will," Loki looks particularly stunned now, "I am and will be forever grateful that you saved me, Loki."
Thor's smile turns into a grin as Loki scoffs Spencer's words away; everyone will just ignore the fact that it looked like Loki was blushing.
Skarge was apparently incorrect. The man who was controlling the Bifrost was named Skurge! But it was fine, Spencer had been off only by a letter. "Do not let go," Thor warned her, grasping her hand with his own.
Spencer nodded; her heart sad to be leaving Asgard.
The life-force of Asgard hummed within her, cried out to her in goodbye. Spencer smiled fondly before Skurge twisted Hofund and returned them to Midgard. Spencer's vision was attacked with darkness before the rays of thousands of colors surrounded her; she felt like she was flying. Thor squeezed her hand in reassurance and Spencer looked up at him in awe.
Thor merely smiled at her wonder.
A few seconds later, they had been planted in an abandoned area in New York. Spencer looked around with a giddy grin, "Honey, I'm home!" She whispered with a giggle. Thor sending her a confused, but happy smile and Loki just staring at her with a frown on his face.
After getting their bearings, Thor and Loki used witchcraft to change their Asgardian clothing to causal clothing; well, Thor went for a rugged casual look while Loki opted for a black suit that complimented him rather nicely. Spencer just stood there in her Asgardian clothing, waiting for them to notice that she didn't have magical powers like they did.
Thor turned to her confused, "Are you not changing?"
Spencer deadpanned, "I don't have that ability unlocked yet," She sarcastically replied.
Loki coughed, hiding a laugh.
Understanding covered Thor's face, "Ah, yes, well," Thor gestured to Loki, "Go on, use your magic to give her Midgard clothing," Thor told Loki.
Loki sighed and Spencer's Asgardian clothing shimmered away.
There was dead silence between the trio.
Thor was trying not to laugh.
Loki was smirking at her.
And Spencer was staring at Loki with a 'are you serious right now?' look.
Spencer was dressed in her first Avenger Suit; the one she fought Loki in, remember that suit? He even got the high tops right. Spencer clucked her tone in annoyance, "Really?" Spencer muttered.
Loki smirked, "Is it not to your liking?" Loki coolly remarked.
"I will kill you," Spencer said softly.
Loki laughed at her words, but Spencer's old suit was shimmered away and replaced with the civilian clothes. Jeans, sneakers, a black graphic tee, and a black hoodie. Spencer did a little twirl, "Oh my god, normal clothes!" Spencer groaned happily.
"They are quite comfortable," Thor patted his own jeans fondly.
Loki made a face at their jeans.
The trio walked out of the abandoned lot and down the corner; Loki was leading the way. Spencer was following close behind, but lost in her thoughts. At her fingertips, the cool life-force of her home planet clung onto her almost desperately. She was intrigued at the different sensation and stared intently at her fingers. Asgard's life-force had been warm and stubborn, but Earth's life-force was the opposite.
Without realizing it, Loki marches them to a street corner. Thor and Loki are staring right in front of a torn down building. Spencer looks up in confusion and sees the name of the building in the rubble. Shady Acres Care Home? Spencer stared up at Loki with wide, horrified eyes.
Thor looked ready to murder Loki.
Loki just looked confused as hell.
"You left your father at a retirement home?" Spencer whispered to Loki.
Loki had the decency to look guilty, "I swear I left him right here," He told them.
"Right here on the sidewalk or right there where the building is being demolished?" Thor sarcastically asks, "Great planning." Thor tells Loki with a deadly look in his eyes. Both men look at each other over Spencer's small form. Spencer just stared at the crumbled remains of the retirement home.
"How was I supposed to know?" Loki demanded back to Thor, "Can't see into the future, I'm not a witch." Loki grumbles.
"Could have fooled me," Spencer remarks with a smirk.
"Then why do you dress like one?" Thor questions with a matching smirk; the duo high-fiving each other with glee.
Loki is offended, "Hey," Loki glared at them.
Thor levels Loki with a glare, "I can't believe you're alive," Loki huffs, "I saw you die, I mourned you, I cried for you," Thor tells Loki while Loki looks grossed out by Thor's sudden sentiment.
"I'm honored," Loki responds awkwardly.
The trio slip into an awkward silence before some giggling girls come up to them, "Ask them," One girl whispered encouraging her friend.
"Hi, would you mind taking a picture with us?" The curly-haired girl asks.
"Oh, sure," Thor says.
"With the both of you?" The girl elaborated with a hopeful smile gesturing towards Spencer.
Spencer blinked, "Me?" Spencer pointed to herself.
"Of course!" The girl chirped, "You're, like, my favorite badass superhero."
Spencer blushed.
The four of them gathered closely for the selfie, "Start figuring out where he is," Thor tells Loki seriously before the four of them pull silly faces for the camera.
"Oh my god, thank you!" They squealed happily.
"No problem, tag me in that, yeah?" Spencer says, wondering momentarily if her twitter was even still active.
"Of course! I'm glad to see you're feeling better!" One of the girls say with a smile.
Spencer was taken back for a moment before remembering that she had retired publicly last year when she lost her abilities. "Thank you!" Spencer smiled at them happily.
"Also, sorry to hear that Jane dumped you!" The other girl made a sad face before the duo walked away.
Spencer clicked her tongue awkwardly, "Awkward," She mumbled, "I wasn't even aware that was public information." Spencer glanced at her friend worriedly.
"She didn't dump me, you know," Thor said with a scoff as Loki and Spencer exchanged knowing glances, "I dumped her, it was a mutual dumping." Thor weakly stated, seeing the looks he was getting from his adopted brother and friend.
"Sure it was," Spencer cooed at Thor while Loki patted Thor's shoulder in comfort.
Suddenly, a thin ring of what looked like sparklers appeared around Loki. Thor gently pulling Spencer away from Loki, "What is that? What are you doing?" Thor asked as Loki looked equally confused on what was going on.
Loki looked at them with wide eyes, "This isn't me," Loki says.
Loki looks at his hands before Loki falls through the ring and vanishes. Spencer and Thor stare at the space where Loki had been in with dumbfounded expressions. There on the ground was a card in his place. "Loki?" Thor whispers before poking at the card with Mjölnir that was disguised as an umbrella.
Thor picks the card up and there was an address on it: 177A Bleecker Street.
"Where the fuck is that?" Spencer mumbled, peering around Thor.
"I am not sure," Thor mumbles looking around, "We need directions."
It took the duo a few tries before someone recognized who they were and excitedly gave them directions to Bleecker street. It wasn't far from the retirement home so, it was a short walk. Thor was tense and Spencer was hungry, she also wanted to get her hands on a cell phone so, she could communicate with any of her friends.
It didn't seem like the best time to bring it up as they were looking for the Allfather.
She'd bring it up later.
"There it is," Spencer pointed out the normal looking town home.
"Are you familiar with this place?" Thor asks her.
Spencer shakes her head, "Nope!"
Thor and Spencer walk up to the door and when Thor goes to knock. There's a sudden whoosh sound and the both of them had been teleported inside an unfamiliar place. It is dark whenever they are, Spencer blinks a few times to adjust her vision to the sudden darkness. It smells musky and there were relics scattered about.
Where was this? Spencer thought.
"Thor Odinson," A voice says from one of the window, "And Spencer Coulson."
Both heroes turn towards the window where a man in a cloak levitates towards them. Spencer's eyebrows shot up in shock. The man looks about Tony's age, with salt and pepper hair, and has an English accent.
Thor subtly places himself in front of Spencer, holding out his ratty umbrella, ready to defend himself. Spencer just stares at the man with a curious expression. She could feel the magic in this place, felt it hum against her fingertips.
The man looks at the umbrella and says, "God of Thunder," He says this respectfully, "You can put down the umbrella."
Thor stares at this man before placing Mjölnir into an umbrella rack that randomly appeared beside the duo. As soon as Thor put Mjölnir away, they were whooshed away to a different room. The man with the red cloak leans against a wall with a tapestry and Thor surveys their surroundings; his eyes catching on a statue with old, rusted daggers.
Spencer isn't sure what to do or say, so she stays quiet.
"So, Earth has wizards now?" Thor chuckles going to place the rusted dagger back in its place and in Thor Odinson fashion, knocks over the other rusted daggers. Thor chuckles awkwardly and Spencer just shakes her head.
"The preferred term is Master of the Mystic Arts," The man plainly said in a somewhat snobby tone, "You can leave that now," He tells Thor who is struggling with the rusted daggers.
"All right, wizard," Thor turns to the man, "Who are you? Why should we care?"
Spencer mutters, "Thor, where are your manners?"
"What? He's being all mysterious and moody," Thor defends himself.
The man speaks up plainly, "My name is Doctor Stephen Strange, and I have some questions for you," He says this to Thor before turning to Spencer, "I don't have any questions for you, Spencer, but as I interrogate Thor, would you like to write some letters to your friends while you wait?" His tone turns more polite as he speaks to Spencer; Thor scowls.
Spencer takes a moment to process his request, "I would very much appreciate it," Spencer says with a smile.
Spencer is whooshed away again. This time, she's on by herself at a table, sitting down. There are pieces of paper and a pen for her to use. Spencer blinks, getting a bit of whiplash from being whooshed everywhere. She shakes her head as she begins scribbling away on the pieces of paper.
Spencer, deep in her thoughts and writing, could hear multiple whooshes emitting from somewhere nearby and thudding which she presumed was coming from Thor bumping into things. She smiled, her stomach rumbled, and suddenly there was a delicious sandwich and some water on the table.
Her mouth salivated instantly, "Thank you, Doctor!" Spencer beamed quickly stuffing her face and finishing her letters. It had only been a short, few minutes, but Spencer made quick and short letters to her friends; Tony, Nat, Rhodey, Vision, and T'Challa were all addressed in one letter and Steve, Clint, Sam, Pietro, and Wanda were addressed in another. One for Fury, One for her father, and another private one for Pietro. Just in case, something happened before she could reach her friends, they had the letters. She was organizing the letters on the table when she was whooshed again.
She was at the bottom of a grand staircase with Thor and Dr. Strange. Spencer wobbled and Thor steadied her. Beside Dr. Strange there was a portal, "What did I miss?" Spencer asked them.
"He knows where my father is, we go home, and you get to stay after we speak with my father," Thor explains.
Spencer bobs her head, "Sounds like a plan."
"Don't forget your umbrella," Dr. Strange says to Thor.
"Oh, yes," Thor says reaching out his arm to call for Mjölnir. Instantly, they are greeted with sounds of crashing. Thor just awkwardly stands there, Dr. Strange just stares at Thor with a blank look, and Spencer gets secondhand embarrassment from this whole situation.
There is more crashing.
And more crashing, things falling, and Spencer buries her face into her hands, "Oh, lord," She mumbles.
"Sorry," Thor awkwardly apologies to Dr. Strange.
Some more crashing and finally Mjölnir smacks into Thor's waiting hand, "There we go! Thor says before shaking off the broken glass on Mjölnir, "I suppose I'll need my brother back," Thor tells Dr. Strange.
Dr. Strange looks momentarily confused before he says, "Oh, yeah, right," Dr. Strange does a gesture and there is screaming heard. From above, Loki drops out of a portal. He lands hard on the floor and then staggers to his feet. On edge, confused.
"Ouch, that's gotta hurt," Spencer remarks with a wince.
"I have been falling for thirty minutes!" Loki snarls.
"You can handle it from here," Dr. Strange tells Thor as Spencer goes over to help Loki up.
"Yes, of course," Thor says going to shake hands with Dr. Strange, "Thank you very much for you help," Thor says sounding chipper now.
"Of course," Dr. Strange dips his head.
"Handle me?" Loki demands, outraged before turning towards Dr. Strange, "Who are you?" Loki demands, seamlessly drawing daggers in both hands.
"That was smooth," Spencer comments with a grin.
"Loki," Thor warns.
Loki walks up to Dr. Strange with a menacing glare, "You think you're some kind of sorcerer? Don't think for one minute, you second-rate-"
"Bye-bye" Dr. Strange pushes the portal right through the trio and whooshes them away. Loki lands on the ground with a thud, Thor and Spencer gawk at the undisturbed scenery around them.
"Where are we?" Spencer asks softly.
There is endless cloudy skies, the sounds of the ocean nearby, it was beautiful here. "Norway," Thor replied quietly.
Spencer sees him first; Odin is wearing humble human clothes and stands on the edge of the cliff, lost in his own thoughts. Thor follows her gaze, he moves towards his father and so does Loki. Spencer remains back, allowing the men some privacy with their father. She turns her back, but remains nearby.
Spencer takes this moment to pull at the earth, quietly as to not disturb the conversation Odin is having with his sons. The earth complies too easily, too eagerly to Spencer's wishes. She cocks an eyebrow wondering why the life-force was so easy to control, so eager and desperate. She looks up and sees the cloudy skies, it might rain, but instead Spencer clears the clouds away and there is only endless blue skies above them now.
Spencer smiles, she is back home.
When she turns, she sees Loki and Thor sitting on a rock with the Allfather in between them. She smiles fondly before the Allfather suddenly dissipates into glowing dust, the smile drops from her face. Thor and Loki stand as the remains of Odin float away towards the ocean and into the sky. She walks to them and her heart is quietly mourning. The Allfather is gone, dead.
"Thor," Spencer reaches for her friend.
Thor lets her grab his hand in comfort, he appreciates it as he mourns the loss of his father. Spencer glances at Loki, he has an unreadable expression on his face. The clouds that Spencer had sent away are back now, darker than before, and they are accompanied by thunder. Spencer could feel the heat growing from Thor's hand and the currents he was pulling from her body; they didn't hurt her, but it was uncomfortable.
Spencer made a face of discomfort.
Loki saw this and called to Thor, "Brother,"
Thor lets go of Spencer's hands, angles his body towards Loki, and glares at his brother with anger, "This was your doing," Thor accuses, hurt and anger painting his face and voice. Spencer could see her friend was trying to control his anger and his pain, and it hurt Spencer to see her friend like this.
The sound of cracking draws their attention, from behind the trio, a black portal appears illuminated by ominous green lights. Thor and Loki exchange looks before marching towards the black portal. Spencer follows by, confused. Thor slams Mjölnir into the ground and a curtain of thunder falls upon Thor transforming his human clothes for his usual Asgardian attire. Loki follows suit, shimmering away his black suit for what he was wearing previously.
Spencer looks down, and her clothes are gone, but she wasn't wearing what she had on in Asgard, no, she was in armor now. Fitted to her body for protection and flowing behind her was the cloak that Sif gave her. It only confused Spencer more, what was going on?
Spencer stares at the black portal, it looked like thick black smoke and from within the portal a woman cloaked in black emerges. Her lack suit is damaged, her hair looks oily and greasy, and her makeup is smeared. Her face indicates she's older than Thor and Loki and definitely Spencer. Furthermore, her cheekbones are high and sharp, her eyes are a dark green color. Spencer felt a chill run down her spine looking at this woman. Her aura screams danger. The black portal vanishes.
"Um, who is that?" Spencer whispers to Thor and Loki.
The brother's share a look, "Our older sister, Hela," Thor scowls at Hela.
"You have an older sister?" Spencer asks in shock.
"We just found out a few minutes ago," Loki adds in.
"She's also the Goddess of Death," Thor continues.
"Goddess of death?!" Spencer says out loud.
"Yes, nice to meet you," Hela drawls drawing their attention, "Shame thought, I would've like to see him die," She muses darkly.
"So, you must be Hela," Thor states, "I'm Thor, son of Odin."
"Really?" Hela looks Thor up and down, "You don't look like him," She remarks.
"Perhaps we can come to an arrangement," Loki says, tense as hell.
Spencer still has not idea what is going on, but from how Thor and Loki are acting, Hela must not be good news. Hela's face twists into a scowl, "You sound like him," There's a heartbeat of silence before Hela smirks, "Kneel," She commands.
Spencer snorts at her request.
"B-Beg your pardon?" Loki says in shock.
Hela manifests a black sword out of thin air in a silent threat, "Kneel," Hela repeats with a dark smirk, "Before your queen," Spencer swallows uneasily and shifts into a fighting stance. There was a reason they called her Goddess of Death and Spencer didn't really want to find out why.
"I don't think so," Thor says bravely, taking a step and throwing Mjölnir towards Hela. Hela smirks cruelly and stops Mjölnir dead in its tracks with her bare hand. Spencer's mouth drops open in shock.
"Holy fuck!" Spencer curses.
There is shock and disbelief on Thor's face as he tries to recall Mjölnir back, but the mighty hammer wasn't budging from Hela's death grip. Spencer could hear the metal from Mjölnir, vibrating in Hela's grip. "It's not possible," Thor says in disbelief.
Hela gives a humorless chuckle, "Darling, you have no idea what's possible," And then Hela crushes Mjölnir in front of Thor, so easily and without much thought. Spencer could only watch in horror as Mjölnir is destroyed. The blast of Mjölnir's destruction sends a wave of energy through the trio, who brace themselves against the impact. Thor is stupefied. Spencer absorbed the energy of Mjölnir easily and guiltily, she winced as Mjölnir's energy was harsh and sharp in her body.
In shock, they look up to see Hela is running her hands back over her head to create the terrifying battle headdress. Hela snaps her wrist and two black blades materialize in her hands, and she begins a death march towards the trio.
"Oh, shit, shit!" Spencer says, as Hela radiates a death aura that sends Spencer's instinct haywire.
Loki looks up at the sky and shouts, "Bring us back!"
"No!" Spencer and Thor shout in unison, is Loki stupid?!
But it was too late, a second later the Bifrost falls around them and sweeps them up back towards Asgard. Spencer felt sick, and she felt someone grab her hand tightly and pull her up against their body. Her head spun as she tried to steady herself against the tunnel of the Bifrost.
Spencer realizes that it Loki who holds and steadies her against his body, tucked carefully. Loki and Spencer look down to see Thor right behind them and Hela. Spencer points behind Thor, "We have a problem!" She screams.
"Loki!" Thor yells at his brother.
Loki manages to pull a blade from out of thin air and throws it straight at Hela at a blinding speed, Hela is quick to grab the blade and throw it right back at Loki. Loki angles his body so that the blade hits him in the back, and suddenly they were thrown out of the Bifrost. Spencer felt as if someone had thrown her in a suitcase and thrown her off a cliff. She could hear herself screaming, could hear Loki screaming, and then there was darkness.
Two days in ONE day? Jesus, you guys are getting spoiled XD Sorry for any errors you might have seen, this new grammar program is kinda shitty.
