InuYasha and I walk down to the barracks, near the dojo's, silently. Upon reaching them, I flare my aura briefly, and hide a small smile as Eichi appears. He is a large, barrel chested bear youkai with shoulder length chestnut brown hair tied back in a low tail at the nape of his neck, and deceptively soft gray eyes. Eichi steps from the barracks, eyes InuYasha up and down before turning and bowing to me.

"My Lord."

"Captain Eichi, This One would have you begin formal training with InuYasha. He is prepared to begin when you are." I state to the kuma, watching as he visually assesses the hanyou before nodding once and turning to begin walking towards a dojo, InuYasha and I trailing behind.

"Come along, son of the West, we will begin now. Are you able to control the transformation of your blade?"

"Uh, kinda? Why?" InuYasha asks hesitantly.

"It will be easier to begin instructions with a normal sized blade. If you can not, there are plenty of other katanas to be used." Eichi informs the hanyou, glancing back and seeing the look of panic on his face, quickly offers reassurances "You need not fear losing control, there are enough here that can subdue you if the need arises."

"Uh, yeah, okay. I... I'll try to keep it at a normal size first." InuYasha mumbles, ears twitching with uncertainty.

"Each dojo is spelled to erect impenetrable barriers. If you are unable to be subdued by your superiors, they are able to lockdown the building and call for me. No harm will come to you or any others, I assure you." I explain, watching as InuYasha's shoulders relax visibly.

"Okay. Let's do this then." he says as we all enter the dojo, finding it empty.

"Firstly, show me if you can control the state of the blade." Eichi instructs, he and the hanyou stopping once they reach the middle of the floor. I settle to lean against the wall near the door. InuYasha pulls Tetsusaiga and it immediately transforms into its' full fang form. He closes his eyes, brows furrowing as he concentrates. The blade vibrates for a moment before stilling again, making him curse softly.

"InuYasha, if you would like, as well as the lessons here, I would be willing to help you master your blade, to allow you complete control over it. And, before you say it, I do not have to touch the fang to do so." I offer, understanding fully how frustrating it is to have a blade that does not respond how one wishes it to.

"Really? You would do that? Teach me how to be better with it..." His ears flicker in hesitant hope and confusion.

I nod easily. "Indeed, it would behoove me to do so."

"Behoo- what?"

"It would be my duty, and one I willingly accept."

"Oh. Uh. Okay then. Sure. Can't hurt, can it. I guess I'm using a normal katana today, though." he mumbles, sheathing his fang again and looking to Eichi for instruction.

"Place your blade to the side there, and select one of the training katanas from the back wall. Then we will begin." Eichi nods his head towards the wall of weapons. InuYasha complies and returns to stand before Eichi.

"Now, draw and attack."
