His Silent Scream
Chapter 43
Author Notes: Hey guys I am back~ It's time for another upload of 'i ruin everyone's lives' yugioh edition lol-though we're due for some chill time for our heroes! Haou especially, so let's see what happened after the end of the last chapter. I do not own Yugioh.
3rd P.O.V
"Looks like they fell asleep." Jehu mumbled as he buried his face into soft locks, stirring slightly as harsh whispers by the door to Haou's bedroom grew louder. "Should we wake them? You came all this way to pick Jehu up right Jen?" A sigh is heard, his mother's voice reached his ears.
Her exhausted tone making him crack one eye open. His vision was blurry as he glanced down, smiling. The two were under soft covers, their arms wrapped around one another. Haou's head was nestled under his chin. His expression soft and innocent in sleep.
Jehu made good on his promise of helping Haou forget, it being a frenzy of hands and mouths. The pair falling asleep nestled in each other's arms not too long after. The fatigue quickly catching up with them.
"No. Let them sleep. Sounds like they had one hell of a day. I'll just call them later. Knowing Jehu he'll probably want to spend the night anyways." Damn right he wanted to. It would take an army of monsters to get him out of Haou's arms.
Never had he felt so comfortable than when he was sleeping next to his beloved. "Come on. Let's go." The door is closed carefully, as Yugi, Yami and Jennifer left them in peace. Jehu easily shut his eye with a jaw cracking yawn, falling back to sleep with little trouble.
Rubbing his head softly into the pillow beneath him, inhaling his boyfriend's scent, there was no better way to sleep. Or wake up to as he discovered a few hours later. It was dark at this point, the sun having just gone down for night to take over.
The clock confirming as such when he found a certain brunette missing from the bed. "Haou?" Yawning Jehu rose from his laying position, stretching his arms over his head. There was no sign of the boy, but the plate from earlier was empty. All that remained were crumbs.
Meaning he actually ate much to the bluenettes' relief. Sighing Jehu hops to his feet, cracking his neck in the process. He leaves for the kitchen, seeing Haou right where he expected him to be. Looking far better than when he first came home.
Though he had a t-shirt back on...that needed to change. Jehu crept slowly and quietly, mischievously twiddling his fingers up his lover's back. "When did you get up?" Haou took a sharp breath but didn't flinch away.
He WAS ready to smack the idiot with the ladle in his hand though for being an annoying little sneak. "Just now. My question is why aren't you in there with me?" Gold eyes rolled before wincing as he received a love bite. This time Jehu definately got a smack to the head.
It wasn't a hard tap, but it was enough to draw Jehu's teeth from his shoulder. "I figured I'd return the favor from earlier. But I see that was a pointless endeavor." Haou was going to need more concealer at this rate.
His boyfriend though did a good job in keeping him occupied...he perhaps went a bit too far with the marks. Not that Haou could talk. Not only did he ask for it(literally) but he gave as much as he took.
Jehu was looking like he got mauled by a vampire, grinning with no shame whatsoever. "I knew there was a reason I liked you~" Chuckling with a small headshake the chef of the house flipped the burner off. "Hope you like stew."
Brown seasoned beef broth drowned several different pieces of chopped produce and chunks of the beef that was cooked in it. "I don't think I need to say it at this point but I love everything you make." It was corny, but completely appropriate considering their mood.
Completely domestic. Haou didn't give a verbal reply, but his eyes said it all. 'Thank you.' The specified topic that the two were avoiding would be discussed after their meal. Giving them the opportunity to relax-to pretend just a bit longer. They sat at the table, content with eating.
"Another masterpiece chef junior!" Jehu knew just what to say to cheer him up. "Knock it off!" Already he was acting like nothing ever happened today. But soon enough, much to their surprise Jehu's phone went off. His mother's caller id flashing. "I'll be back. Knowing her she's going to want an update."
Getting up he gives Haou a peck on the lips before throwing him a wink. Easily dodging another playful smack as he fled to the bathroom. Allowing Haou to take another bite as his memories of earlier took hold. Tomorrow was going to be an absolute nightmare now that he knew Chazz was back.
Even with Jehu and all of his friends he highly doubted he'd be able to face the young Princeton without the desire to run. And that's If the raven haired boy was civil towards him. He could only imagine what could occur if his temper was as bad as it was in middle school.
He's in all honestly hoping to avoid the boy and his minions like the plague. If he doesn't run into them, there would be no risk of confrontation. No possible repeat. But he knew that was wishful thinking on his part.
Even if he was successful of surviving the last two years of high school without dealing with him-it was a cowardly decision. As if he was disregarding the problem completely. Besides...whether Chazz was aware of his harassments or not, his friends were messing with his stuff.
He knew where Haou's locker was. If he wanted to, his old friend could just wait there for him. Forcing them to interact. The problem was Haou had no idea of what Chazz was thinking when they crossed paths earlier. He was surprised when he met Haou's gaze, he knew that much.
Of course the brunette didn't stick around long enough to see his eyes contort emotions. Was he angry about what happened back then? Or was he just as scared as Haou? There were too many outside factors for Haou to reach a conclusion on him and how to deal with him.
"You're either thinking too hard or planning a murder. I personally hope the second one is not intended for me." Jehu returned soon enough, barely five minutes on the phone to speed up his mom.
As well as tell her that yes, he will be spending the night and yes, he plans on going to school tomorrow with Haou. So he is going to need a ride. "Very funny. I'm just...nervous about school." His finger gently tapped away at the table.
His food lost its steamy warmth while lost in thought. "Do you think he's going to try something?" All Haou could do is shrug, unsure. "It's been years since i've seen him, and we didn't part on good terms." It was the understatement of the century as Haou rested his head on his arms.
Despite his nap, he was still so tired. His brain ready to shut down along with him. His boyfriend frowned as he grabbed their dishes, placing them in the sink as he voiced his reassurances and thoughts. "No matter what I'm not going to let him hurt you." If he tries Anything there'll be an army ready to tear him to shreds.
And that's if the eldest of the Andersons didn't get to him first. Haou didn't doubt him for a minute as he yawns. Shaking his head slightly as his blinked. He could fall asleep any moment now, he would hold out though.
This talk was important. Soon he could return to his peaceful slumber. "I don't think I can try talking to him right now. I know I should. If anything then to clean the air between us so we can move on from the past. But..."
They both could tell where his thought process was taking him, and Jehu gently grabbed his hand. His thumb rubbing his for once uncovered wrist. He was getting better with showing his scars, slowly accepting them. However it was still only in the comforts of his home and with people who knew his secrets.
It was still a major improvement. "...You have every right to be scared Haou. He attacked you. Should I not be with you and you run into him, call me. I'll be there." This was something Jehu was not going to let him tackle alone, and Haou was grateful for it.
"I'll wait for him to make the first move, I'll go from there." At the moment it was the best plan he could come up with. And really what he could do given the situation at hand. He'd know his position the moment Chazz takes rein of the circumstance.
Whether he leaves Haou be or confronts him was still not yet decided. "We're still talking to someone about the harassments you've been dealing with. No ifs ands or buts." Again the tacks in his lunch...that was taking things way too far.
The dirtbags were lucky Jehu wasn't present when his lover did confront them...otherwise he would've pounded all of them into the ground. "Agreed. Before first block I'll go see Banner." The forensics' teacher was the least likely to blow up when given the news and evidence.
He would be calm when addressing the issue. And...if all fails and Haou's wrong in his assumption Banner was the least likely to get caught committing a murder and getting rid of the bodies. "Back to bed. You look like you'll pass out any second."
And Haou did the moment his head hit the pillow. For once the nightmares staying away.
To be continued
