Betsy and Steve's Apartment

A couple months removed from rescuing their daughter along with Jack Bradford and Nikki Munson, Betsy and Steve decided to move in together, giving each other another chance of love. Seeing their daughter on the brink of death when they found her and how Danni almost died due to the poison, it showed how much both of them loved their daughter so much and still to this day. But also, the fact that her survival brought them together even more after Betsy gave Steve a chance to prove himself to her, to take their relationship slow again so they don't get hurt. While Betsy was working at the hospital again, Steve was just out and about trying to still get things in order since he's been gone from the town and the world for so long since his release from prison. But since Betsy had the day off from Memorial, Betsy invited Danni over to spend time with both her mom and dad if she wanted too. At first she felt didn't feel like coming but decided to put her anger for her dad aside that she still felt with his absence for her mom's sake and come to the apartment. At the door, Danni knocks on it before she waits and it didn't take long before it opened as Danni saw her mom on the other side, then the two hug.

Betsy - "Hey you, I am so glad you made it Danni"

Danni - "Hey mom, thanks for inviting me. Where's dad?"

Betsy - "He's in the kitchen making dinner for us. It was your father who decided to make dinner tonight so the other day we went to the marker and I ended up paying for everything he got, but come on in"

Betsy moves out of the way so that Danni can come in. Closing the door behind her, Betsy leads her daughter to the main living room as Danni scrunched her face from what she can smell. The two of them sat down on the furniture in the living room.

Danni - "Well whatever dad's making must be that good"

Betsy - "I trust your father with his cooking stills. When he grew up in Greece, his adopted family showed him different cooking styles including what to add for ingredients. Anyway, how have you been?"

Danni - "I've been good, can't complain at all lately but it feels so good not to have those toxins in my system anymore"

Betsy - "I'm glad to hear that Danni, when we all found you, you gave us a heart attack. We didn't know you were going to make it or not"

Danni - "Can't say I blame you feeling that way mom. You know how resistant, stubborn and full of it I am but those moments made my skin crawl, there was no chance in hell I would make it out of that situation"

Betsy - "And look at you now, you're still standing Danni so you get to live the rest of your life. How long are you staying in Oakdale?"

Danni - "Not really sure mom but of course you know I will continue to fight for justice when it comes to the law. That's always been my passion ever since the day I first started"

Steve - "Well maybe one day you'll take bite out of crime in Oakdale, you have the inspiration for it. Dinner's ready so come on and join me"

Betsy and Danni see Steve standing in the entrance way of the living room before Steve smiled at the two women who mattered to him that much in his life. Danni smiled a little bit and despite how glad she was to see her father, she was still mad at him for all the time he missed out in her life. Steve can understand her anger and didn't blame her for resenting him, as the choices he made back then cost him everything. It made Steve look like a bigger fool compared to other people, other fathers out there who are raising their children, supporting them, showing how much they care. And here's Steve, a man who married the love of his life, raised their daughter but felt as if it wasn't enough due to the fact he got involved in a lot of trouble, even owing people money. That was back then, now Steve was being wiser and thinking more clearly than before, some of the old contacts he had were deleted from his cell phone. Those same people who were bad influences to Steve in the past, he didn't want to deal with them which made Betsy proud. Motioning for them to join him, Betsy and Danni leave living room before they follow Steve for dinner, who was looking forward to this day out of all three of them.

Memorial Hospital

After leaving Hope with the psychiatrist, Bob and Kim both decided it was time to talk to Christopher about the news that he has a brother one of the doctors Doctor Flannigan. He's one of the doctors who did the best to help before Hope went to a psychiatrist ward so that she can get help, but the moment she saw him, she knew who he was. That was the man who she gave birth too before meeting Bob in another one of her relationships, one where she didn't expect to see him after all of this time, but he was here now. She hasn't had the chance to see him yet and to explain everything to Tom. But even at times when she did whenever Kim was here at the hospital for an appointment or to see how her son was doing, Kim just said hello and had friendly conversations with him. She wasn't ready to speak with him yet which is understandable. Bob was supportive to Kim when she told him the news that she has another son out there and it's one of those things that's very delicate, so now their son had to know he's got another brother potentially as they reach the office before knocking on it. Hearing his voice on the other side, Bob opens the door before he lets Kim comes in.

Chris - "Mom, dad, this is a surprise to see the two of you here. Everything okay?"'

Bob - "Well yes son, Hope right now is seeing the psychiatrist you mentioned in Doctor Zhang. Correct?"

Chris - "Ah yes, she's one of the best doctors we have in the psyche ward section for Memorial. Hope will be in good hands but this isn't about Hope isn't it?"

Kim- "No Christopher, it's not about Hope, you or anyone else except for one person and he works in the hospital"

Chris - "And who would that be?"

Kim - "Doctor Tom Flannigan"

Chris - "You mean the one who treated Hope when Frannie brought her to the hospital? What about him?"

Bob - "Kim?"

Kim- "He's...he's the man who tortured a family that I knew growing up and he had slept with a woman, who gave birth to his daughter. I hated the man so much, I switched the DNA test results to prevent him from raising his daughter after the mom died"

Chris - "You...you did what!?"

Kim - "You heard me Chris, I switched the results of Doctor Flannigan who shouldn't have been robbed of his chance to raise his daughter. Now, this may be our worst nightmare and it's all my fault"

Chris, who was just being told this by his mom just now, was stunned, surprised, and speechless. His mother was someone he always loved, the woman who brought him into this world and always grateful for her supporting Chris through the good and the bad. But this...he didn't expect to hear this from her, hell, Chris never could see her mother doing something like that where she took away something precious from a father like Doctor Flannigan. Chris didn't know anything about the man's history or what crimes he committed in the past. Every time when someone new works here at Memorial, they always do a background check on the person before moving forward. If there were any kind of criminal background or something fishy then he or she can't work here unless they are able to clear their record and then they have the green light to be employed at Memorial. But what did the doctor do to the friends family that Kim knew about? Why didn't she come here sooner or say anything. Looking at his father, Bob knew Kim was telling the truth about the man. She told Bob the day of Hope being admitted to the psyche ward after her rape, and even he wasn't happy of what Kim did.

Dirty French

Since tonight was their first date together, Tony was nervous of how things could go between himself and Liberty. He couldn't get out of his mind though the first meeting they had in a long time after eleven years when the last time they slept together which resulted in their own child. Tony never knew about this until Janet intervened and blackmailed him to stay away from Liberty since Parker was with her at the time and she didn't want Tony to interfere, making things much worse between everyone else. Finding out that his own child died at stillbirth made Tony want to get the answers he needed, but again Janet didn't say much except to stay away from Liberty. All was in the past now and they could move forward, but the two of them having passionate sex in her office at Ciccone Creations made Tony realize he was a fool for not fighting for Liberty and being their for the baby. Now, he wants to wipe the slate clean and move forward in a new direction with her. Waiting for Liberty to come, Tony looks at his watch and realizes its almost time for his date to come in and before he knew it, Tony saw Liberty come in wearing a gorgeous red dress that Liberty cling in as the man smiled.

Tony - "Hello Liberty, you look amazing, heck, I am almost speechless thanks to you"

Liberty - "Thanks Tony, you don't look too bad yourself. Are you ready?"

Tony - "Yes I am Liberty, we can go head and start"

Tony kissed Liberty on the side of her lips before they walk up to the front desk. Tony tells the person at the desk who works here the reservation and last name, they were told to wait until a table was open for them so Tony and Liberty didn't mind. Sitting down together in one of the lounge chairs, they look around the Dirty French then back at each other.

Tony - "So how's everything for Ciccone Creations?"

Liberty - "I can't complain, everything is coming together very nicely. The first fashion show coming up is going to be one for the ages though based on the ideas I have in mind"

Tony - "Well that's great Liberty, you now have your own business and were dating again. Everything is coming together nicely"

Liberty - "What about you Tony? Are you staying here in Oakdale that long?"

Tony - "Construction Liberty, it's something I love to do on an every day basis so that I can get out and just keep my mind focus on what I making"

Liberty - "Construction huh? That can be very stressful for someone if he or she messes up you know-"

Parker - "Liberty? Tony? What are you guys doing here?

Tony and Liberty look up seeing Parker and a pregnant Faith together when they came into the Dirty French. It looked like they were here also on a date but to see Liberty with Tony surprised them including Parker himself. When Liberty told him she was pregnant with Tony's child and that Tony didn't believer her but broke things off, Parker stepped up and took responsibility. He lied to his parents about him being the father of the baby and while it was wrong on Parker's part, he would never have a sex with a woman until he got older but that's besides the point. Parker narrowed his eyes at Tony who did the same thing at Parker. The two of them haven't met now and if there's one thing Parker wanted to do, was punch Tony right in the nose for how he treated Liberty, not even being there for her when she was most vulnerable. She needed him, not Parker and if Tony was there, Parker would stay out the situation, but would Liberty trust Tony anyway? Faith and Liberty look at both them, a little worried one of them were going to stay or do something they all regret in the end. Parker's still a cop so he couldn't do anything to destroy his job, even with a child on the way thanks to Faith.

Betsy and Steve's Apartment

All three of them sat down as Steve started to put on his napkin at first, then Betsy and Danni followed suit. For Danni this felt so awkward for them to finally have a family dinner, just her and her parents on a day like this where for years the void has been missing for so long between them all. Growing up Danni would sit at the table as her mom gave her dinner, she wondered if her dad was coming home or maybe he was gone for work since her friends, classmates has parents or one of them who worked out of the country due to their job. But to find out later on from her mom that her dad was jail for a crime he committed, and not sure of how long he was staying in Greece for prison, every single day she went to school before seeing the parents of her friends, her classmates, etc., with their parents who pick them up from school. That made Danni jealous despite her mom always being the one to pick her up from school after it was over or on days she sick. But that was then and this is now, she's an adult who did her best to move on from that, and now Danni is finally having dinner with her mom and now her dad. So things seem to be looking up for her, but was it enough.

Danni - "This is my favorite meal, dad, how did you-?"

Steve - "Remember it? Your mom told me what you like to have on special occasions so I made it"

Betsy - "He's right and before we eat, let's make a toast shall we?"

Betsy raises her glass.

Betsy - "To new beginnings and whatever comes next, instead of running away from the issues we take them head on"

Steve - "I'm all for that"

Danni - "Me too"

The three of them take their glasses and clink them against one another before they started eating.

Steve - "So Danni, you're mom told me all about what you're doing job wise. What made you decided to be a part of it?"

Danni - "I guess from my experience with people who've been hurt, robbed, attacked or even conned out of everything, it's important to make sure no one else goes through the same experience. Nothing is ever easy but I make sure to fight for it"

Betsy - "And she does a great job fighting for it Steve. Whenever she calls me over the phone sometimes and explains what happens, I couldn't be more prouder of her, she's stubborn like the two of us"

Steve - *Smiles and chuckles a bit* "I think she gets that from you and more than me Betsy"

Betsy - "I still say the both of us as sometimes you do let your stubbornness get in the way of some things. Remembering about the time you and I first went to Greece to find out about who you were related too, it didn't stop you from finding out the truth"

Steve - "That's true but I wish it made me fight for the two of you more despite serving time in prison for my mistakes"

Betsy - "There was nothing you could do Steve to do something dumb that"

Danni - "What did you do dad?"

Steve - "Now what I did but what I didn't do. I was arrested and sentenced for drug trafficking, a crime that is something I wouldn't do"

Danni - "Are you saying that someone set you up?"

Steve - "Yes but I don't know who, when we saved you there was someone with a strange voice call me saying that it's not over"

Danni - "What do you think it means dad?"

Betsy - "We don't know sweetheart but what we should be thankful for is each other. I couldn't stand the thought of losing the two of you in Greece"

Steve - "And you won't ever have to Betsy, Danni, I am here to stay, for good"

Danni - "Don't make any promises you can't keep dad, nothing can be taken for granted again, ever"

Steve - "Understood Danni, just know that I love you sweetheart"

Danni - "And I love you too dad"

Steve and Danni smiled at each other as three of them continued eating. But for Danni, she was surprised she said those familiar words a father always wanted to hear from his child, boy or girl. There's still a lot of hurt and a lot of wounds to be healed but at the same time the love between them was still there. Steve, when he was at prison, many nights the man would dream about coming home to Betsy and Danni, welcoming him with open arms where everything was forgiven. But that would be too easy, to just throw everything under the rug where Steve would wake up to the one sided cold bed of a prison. Now things were different and Steve was getting his life back together but slowly at the same time. Steve wasn't going to rush into anything with Danni or Betsy. If there was something going on with Danni that he wouldn't like, Steve would just listen and hear her out instead of coming off harsh, protective even of Danni, even when the he didn't have a right to. Of course, he did have a right to feel the way he feels, but Danni has grown up a lot with people besides Betsy who raised her, some he wasn't going to like. Betsy smiled at the two as they continue to eat their dinner as a family.

Dirty French

Liberty and Faith hoped that both men were not going to fight or all hell would break loose between Parker and Tony. Liberty knew the two men haven't met before in the past, this was the first time so this should just be some ordinary meet and greet between them then they go on to their separate ways. But something told her that it may not go out that way. Faith understood her husband more than Liberty did and even she though they wouldn't have to see each other here but it's actually happening,. It wasn't like Tony and Liberty knew Parker and Faith wouldn't be here, because if they did, it wouldn't have mattered anyway. All four of them are adults, they can tolerate and handle anything but for Parker, the thought of that moment when Liberty told him she was pregnant and Tony didn't give a damn burned into his soul. How could anyone, man or woman not take responsibility for their child? Even if you don't want to be with the person anymore , why not step up and raise the child? Tony could of done that but didn't and it made him look worse, it made him look like a coward. Stepping forward Parker puts his hand out for Tony to shake as Tony arches his eyebrow before they shook hands

Parker - "Good to see you Tony, I have heard a lot about you over the years"

Tony - "Um...good to see you as well Parker. You were with Liberty right?"

Parker - "Yes, we were together before breaking up. I didn't know you were back in town"

Tony - "I returned here last month Parker, all these years have been rough on me but I am here to make things right"

Parker - "Oh really? Guess we'll see what happens from here on out, but one more thing..."

Parker leans in and starts to whisper something in Tony's ear that caught Parker and Faith's attention. Tony was a bit nervous of what Parker is about to do but remained firm, not scared or afraid of what the son of Carly, Jack Snyder and Hal Munson would do to him.

Parker - "If you hurt Liberty, you're going to answer to me, got that?"

Tony grinned and leaned in to whisper in his ear.

Tony - "I hear you loud and clear, just don't come between me and Liberty, Detective, you got that?"

Parker was surprised when Tony just said what the man heard as of right now.

Parker - "Yeah, I hear you loud and clear"

Staff member - "Excuse me folks, party of two and party two?"

Parker, Tony, Faith and Liberty look at the staff men, as all four of them nod their heads.

Staff member - "We don't have any room since the rest of the tables are taken. But there is one table for four if you guys wouldn't mind to share"

Parker, Tony, Faith and Liberty were surprised but even embarrassed from the possibility of sharing a table together which sounds crazy. As they all looked eat each other, they knew if they wanted this special occasion to continue, it had to be done.

Liberty - "We'll take it"

Staff member - "Excellent, if anything changes and a table is open, you all will be the first to know. Now this way folks"

The four follow the staff member as they felt things were going to get awkward for them all but they were adults. They can get through this together write? It's not like it'll last an entire night when they're here, right? Approaching the table, both men pull out the seats for their ladies as Faith and Liberty sat down before the staff member gave them menus, telling the a waiter would be here for them shortly. It's a shame that Liberty or any of them didn't have a chainsaw or a razor to cut the table in half, that way they wouldn't' have to share with each other, but they can manage. Parker and Tony though stared across from one another at the table, still not forgetting what both of them said to one another. Tony thought it was childish for Parker to threaten him because Parker may be a cop but that doesn't mean he gets to throw his authority on Tony. Liberty is with Tony now in a way, so Parker should just back off and focus on his pregnant wife. Parker on the other hand know Tony was no good for Liberty, all he could do is try to look out for her so that she doesn't get her heart broken again. As the waiter came up to them to start off with something to drink, they made their orders and continued on for the rest of the night.

Memorial Hospital

Chris stood up from his desk as he was still reeling from what his mom told him about Doctor Flannigan. How could this have happened? In all the years growing up, the man never thought his mom could do something like that. Was she perfect? Was his dad perfect? No, both of them were not perfect, heck, no one is perfect in this world. Chris remembered the time when his dad told him about the affair he had with Susan while married to his mom, even some of those who attended the same college with him were saying things behind Chris's back. Did it use to bother him? Yes but that was back then, and this is now, but man he didn't know Kim would be that sneaky or conniving to play god with someone's life. Chris never knew the doctor had any family or any children to be exact when the background check is done for all of those who want to work here. Now that Kim told him, Chris ran his hands through his hair and sighed, before rubbing his neck, even thinking of how it could affect the hospital if word about this gets out. Bob and Kim looked at their son, noticing how silent he is but still absorbing this news. They could both see how this was affecting him since he's the Chief Of Staff.

Kim - "Chris? Are you okay?"

Bob - "You don't have to hold anything back from us...were your parents"

Chris - *Weakly chuckles* "Am I okay? Actually no I am not okay...what were you thinking mom of doing that to him. What did the guy do to your friends family"

Kim - "Horrible things Christopher, that's all I can tell you but I knew how it affected my friend to tell me how much damage he did to her and the family. So I had no choice-"

Chris - "Mom stop, you had a choice, there's ALWAYS a choice but in the end you pulled this stunt on him. Do you know exactly what could happen next? The man might sue you, sue me, heck, sue this whole hospital since you guys are telling me this now"

Bob - "Or Christopher he could do so much more than that and I am worried for your mother's safety, for all of us son"

Chris - "Do you think that...that he could hurt us? Is that what you're saying dad?"

Bob - "Yes son, this was way before we met and then married each other. Back then Kim was just young and wanted to spare the family, including the mother of Flannigan's daughter the pain of being raised by such a monster of this man"

Chris - "But when he first came here to Memorial there was no information of the crimes that he committed or any wrongdoing of the past"

Kim - "And he's just clean? Just like that? No problems, no issues, nothing?"

Chris - "Yeah mom, nothing...unless..."

Kim - "Unless what Christopher?"

Chris - "Maybe he's not Doctor Flannigan, maybe he's someone else different and not the same person as we thought he was"

Bob - "You mean...with a different identity?"

Chris - "Exactly, before he came here he changed his identity and started to work here. But if he knew of what you did mom, why hasn't he responded or retaliated against you"

Kim - "I don't think he knows anything Chris, he's probably just moving on with the rest of his life like I should be but...I can't get over what I did to him"

Chris - "Okay, then what do we do now? How do we-"

Chris's pager went off as he took it out before looking at it and sighed. He wished this didn't happen not but since he's a doctor too, he had duties as well, as Chris hugged both his parents.

Chris - "I need to go, they need me at the emergency section, but we'll talk about this later mom. Were going to get through this...I just wish you didn't do that to the doctor"

Kim - "I know son...I know"

Bob - "Come on Kim, our son has work to do, we'll talk later Christopher"

All three of them were about to leave the office as Chris opens the door before seeing Doctor Flannigan. Kim was taken a back by him as Bob was still by her side, worried of how this could turn out as Chris was the first one to speak.

Chris - "Um, Doctor Flannigan, didn't expect to see you here. I have to-"

Doctor Flannigan - "I got the same thing on my pager Doctor Hughes. I am right behind you okay? Ah, hello mister and misses Hughes, lovely day isn't it?"

Kim - "Yeah...it sure is"

The doctor smiled before Chris closed the door of his office behind them, then the two doctors took off with Bob and Kim watching them take on upcoming patient. Just seeing that man made Kim feel uncomfortable, not in a good way that is, but now that she has just told her son of what she did, what if Doctor Flannigan heard all of what was said in the office? No, there's no way that could happened unless the guy had some kind of device that he could use to listen to, but then Kim is just over thinking everything. The good thing is she told the truth but the ramifications of this worried her as both went to the elevator so they could get Hope and then head back home. Hope's session with the psychiatrist must have been over already or is still going on which is fine for them. But this was another mess they had to take care of themselves, if not it could get messy depending on the doctor does. Thinking of the worst that could happen, Bob held on to Kim's hand and looked at her with adoration in his eyes for his wife. Kim laid her head on his shoulder, as Bob didn't like what Kim did but she did it for the best to spare that child, that mother, the family from more pain. If this man is indeed the one responsible for all the mess he created, then at some point Doctor Flannigan has to answer for all the pain he's caused to his victims.
