Chapter 42: Side Effects

Spring was almost frantic. It has barely been a minute, and the animatronic personality was on tenterhooks.

William and the brat were alone and stuck with that psychotic excuse for a computer virus! And, he couldn't help!

He couldn't even reach them!

The only good thing about this stupid situation was that the stupid glitch was still glitching him out and Shigaraki couldn't get to him. And, the villain was so focused on him due to his frustration that he was leaving his classmates alone for awhile...that or he forgot about them. Either way, it was good for him.

"Come on, Will," Springtrap sent his message desperately. "Please answer me! Please tell me that you're still alive and that the crazy glitch didn't take control of you and Zuku!"

"Wow," a familiar voice said in fake hurt. "I'm hurt that you think I'd do that!"

"Glitchtrap," Springtrap growled out. "What did you do?!"

"I saved all of your lives," the virus said with a smug smirk. "Your Welcome~! But, Willy will explain a~ll about it later. I have a promise to keep~!"

"Who are you talking to," Shigaraki ground out in his frustration, panting from the effort of trying to hit him repeatedly with his injuries on to no avail. "Or are you just insane?!"

"That's saying something coming from you," Springtrap said with a snort of contempt.

The blue haired villain screamed in his overloading irritation, and Glitchtrap laughed at him from where he was perched floating in the air unseen.

Before Shigaraki could charge him again, Glitch took hold of Springtrap's arm and then glitched him up to the enterance.

"Spring, you have to switch with one of us," William said, and Springtrap felt a moment of relief before his guard went up.

"Hell no," the split personality growled. "I don't trust that glitch! Plus, we still have no idea what will happen when we're injured and we transform!'

"But, we need to make sure that Shigaraki can't harm the class," Izuku begged, frantic.

Just then, Shigaraki started to run up the stair—though he staggered slightly from the blood loss and slight exhaustion—and the class screamed.

"Spring," Izuku yelled, desperate now.

"No," Spring growled, decision firm and unyielding. "There are enough students here to defeat him. He's not that bird monster. I'm not risking it!"

"William," Glitch said as he grabbed Spring's chin, his face a blank mask. "Please forgive me."

Before anything could be said, Glitch's eyes glowed a bright violet and strings of energy connected the two through their eyes. In the space of a few seconds, Glitchtrap took control of their body.

"Glitch," William growled in anger and betrayal. "This isn't apart of our agreement!"

"Sorry," Glitch said distractedly as he forcibly transformed into Izuku and then gave the dual haired teen control of the body. "But, he was about to get you killed with his stubbornness. Zuku, you can have control back. I'll start connection your minds. Call me if you need to glitch. I haven't imprinted that ability yet."

"Agreement," Spring growled from within the mindscape. "You made a deal?!"

"Not the time," William said firmly—completely relieved that Glitch was still sticking to their deal unlike he had feared; and Glitch snickered in amusement at the infighting he had caused.

"Oh, shut up you parasite," the raven haired man yelled at the virus.
"Guys, stop fighting," Izuku yelled. "We have a problem!"

Izuku's torso was bloodied, and his ribs were broken.

"Izuku," Uraraka screamed, horrified at the sight of her friend. "You're hurt!"
"I'll be fine," the green haired teen said as he turned to her with a pained, but reassuring smile.

"You can't fight like this," Will said as worry colored his voice.

"No duh, Sherlock," Springtrap yelled at the blue eyed man.

Luckily, Katsuki exploded onto the scene and knocked back the injured Shigaraki right as he was getting within attacking distance. On the other side, Todoroki came and froze the man in place—as well as the awakening goons.

"Oh, thank goodness," Izuku said breathing a long sigh of relief.

And then, the doors burst open as the pros—finally-stormed into the building; Iida right behind them. Leading them was Allmight.

Shigaraki screamed in absolute furry. His plans were in ruins!

"Kurogiri," he yelled. "Get us out of here!"

Kurogiri, on edge with all the pros now on the scene and his boss and their ace now defeated, quickly warped his injured leader away as he followed him into his own portal.

The students cheered in relief as the pros ran in to round up the rest of the canon fodder that were now awake and encased in ice and to check on all the students.

Izuku, ignoring the fanfare, stumbled his way to Hitoshi, and then collapsed by his friend. Soon, he passed out from all the pain, the forced transformation, and the blood loss.

Izuku woke up to the site of Glitchtrap sitting on the edge of his bed watching him sleep.

The dual haired teen yelped and tried to sit up, and then immediately hissed in pain.

"Whoa, calm down, Zuku," the rabbit said with an amused smirk and soft snicker. "You'll hurt yourself~!"

"Don't you think it's a little to late for that," the green eyed teen spat in annoyance at the rude wake up call and mocking.

The crazy, yellow virus on snickered more in response, and the teen sighed.

"Anyway," Izuku said as he eyed the psychopathic glitch. "Is there a reason you're watching me sleep?"

"Mhm," the yellow bunny said as he leaned his head against his hand.

"Are you going to tell me why you were doing it," Izuku asked in frustration as his eyebrow twitched and his head throbbed as a migraine started to emerge.

"May~be," Glitchtrap sang.

Izuku groaned as he pinched his nose.

"Please, Glitch," Izuku pleaded. "For the love of all that is good, just tell me! I'm not in the mood for your games."

The computer virus sighed.

"Fine," the glitch said with feigned annoyance. "I'm watching for side effects."

"Side effects," Izuku asked confused.

"Yep," the bunny said with a toothy grin that sent shivers dancing down the teen's back. "I just finished my part of our deal... Well, except for being your personal back up."

Glitch's eyes were alight with glee, and it put Izuku on edge.

"You do know that this means I'll have to train you...right," the insane virus said with a sadistic grin.

All of the color drained from Izuku's face as he groaned, and Glitchtrap laughed at the teen's expression.

Oh. This was going to be fun.

A groan sounded from across the room, and Izuku immediately looked over to the sound.

"Hitoshi," Izuku whispered as he saw his friend blink in confusion.

"Zuku," the violet eyed teen whispered. "Why is there a giant yellow bunny sitting on your bed?"

Glitchtrap blinked in shock.

"You can see me," the confused computer virus asked as he started to come to a dawning revelation.

"Yeah," Hitoshi said groaning as he gently sat up, wincing in pain every once in a while. "You're kinda hard to miss."
The psychopathic glitch snorted in amusement as he said, "I see we found one of the side effects.
"Side effects," the violet eyed teen yelped, now fully awake. "Wait! You're not Spring, and you're definitely not William! Who are you?!"

"Um...," Izuku stuttered. "That's actually a long story..."

Hitoshi eyed his friend, and then said. "Well, we have time."
