It has been a bit of a break since last time. This caused by the fact that one of the author got really exited over Ducktales 2017. It is a series we highly recomend to check out it is SO GOOD. Anyway this chapter was original though and written as a one parter but the lenght forced us to cut it in two. We will therefore post the second part shortly after. With that. Enjoy!
"Kanan!" Hera repeated in her head over and over again. That was exactly what she shouted when she heard one of the doctors crying ,
"We have a pulse!"
Hera's own heartbeat slowed down; she had never heard words more beautiful. Before she could go to him and tell him how much she loved him, the doctors pushed them away out of the room. The head doctor promised to get them once everything was stable. What felt like days was only a few hours wait. It was terrible on everyone. while most gazed to the ground, others twiddle their thumbs, but Hera kept pacing to the point she was falling asleep doing so. Zeb finally had enough of watching Hera walk herself dizzy, so he took her by the shoulders and sat her down. It was first when she sat down that she recognized how weak her legs were feeling. Her body was slightly shaking over the shock she had. Finally the doctor came out and was informed that Kanan was indeed alive.
While they cheered, They saw that the doctors had more to say, and had them follow him.
In the Med Room they saw Kanan in a Bacta tub; "in case Kanan took a turn for the worse and they needed quick access to him," the doctor told them. Kanan was still ghostly pale under the bruises and cuts that littered his face which didn't help when the crew tried to handle the harhness of Kanan's torture.
The Doctor explained that at the moment Kanan was comatose. Until he woke up he would need oxygen supply around the clock which in itself was not a good long term solution. Because they had given the anitiode just as the body began to shut down, it was nothing short of a miracle that it had actually worked. Now with the posion expelled from his body, Kanan's body had to heal from not only the torture, but from nearly dying. The only thing they could do now was wait, and hope for the best.
It had been three days … three days of agonizing waiting without a sound or a move. The Doctors claimed comatose patients with visitors seemed to recover quicker. With that in mind the crew, Ahsoka, Rex, and Sato, even the Bridgers came up with a rotation to visit Kanan in the hopes that the constant visitors would help him. The only down-side to all this was that once more they had to wait.

With his bo-rifle in hand, he cleaned his weapon up as he sat next to Kanan's bacta tub; occasionally looking down to make sure his friend was still breathing.
The truth was Zeb doubted that visiting Kanan would help wake him up. Like when Zeb was asleep, he never heard anything going on around him; a fact Chopper took advantage of repeatedly.
Hera had told him to try to talk to him, for Zeb it was easier said than done. But after cleaning his bo-rifle for the third time, Zeb knew he had to do something else. So Zeb took a deep breath and said the first thing that came to mind.
"I'm hungry." Zeb spoke out. Zeb then realized how odd that was to say to a comatose patient. When Zeb recalled that being the first thing Kanan said to him, he laughed.
"Remember that I first woke up on the Ghost after my... bender, Hera left for some errands and it was quiet for like ten seconds before you said 'I'm hungry,' and you asked me if I wanted something."
Zeb then fell silent as he thought about that day, "But I was so caught up in my own angst after...what happened."
Zeb remembered being so depressed after being found by Kanan. It was not that he was happy to be alive, but he was upset he was probably the last of his kind.
"You asked me if I wanted anything and didn't really say anything. So you went to the kitchen as I reluctantly followed and literally offered me every single thing. You even offered me sugar...just sugar."
Zeb chuckled at the thought of Kanan holding a bag of sugar. Though Zeb was not laughing at the time.
"What about Sugar?" Kanan asked as he held up a bag of it.
Zeb looked at him puzzled, what kind of being eats just sugar, he recalled thinking to himself.
"Sorry," Kanan stated in defeat as he admitted, "I'm not the best at first impressions."
The two males were silent for a moment before Zeb spoke up.
"You saved my life, that's a good first impression to me...thanks."
Kanan smiled as he told Zeb, "Don't mention it."
Zeb was quiet for a moment as he looked up at Kanan. The Lasat could tell he just wanted to help. But he wasn't sure if he deserved it. After what he let happen.
"You know it wasn't your fault." Kanan interjected.
Zeb was shocked, "Excuse me?"
"The Empire destroys everything in their path. Once they make up their mind on what they want to take down, it is almost impossible to stop them."
This should have comforted Zeb, but instead it just made him angry.
"Then I should have gone down with the rest of my people. Fighting until I couldn't fight anymore."
Kanan spoke up, "I may not know you well, but I can tell you fought until you couldn't. When you woke up...that was when you realized you were the only one who made it out of the fight."
Zeb sighed as he told Kanan harshly, "No offense, but I doubt you know what I went though."
Zeb was about to get up and get to the room they gave him when Kanan stated.
"Let me take a guess; once you realized you were the only one who made it out alive you were horrified, not because you realized you were alone, but because you questioned why of all the people you knew, by dumb luck you are the one who made it. Now the guilt eats at you as you wake up every morning and wonder 'why me?' You feel there was other persons who was much more deserving of surviving than you"
Zeb was shocked as he sat back down. This was not just some random guess. It was speaking from experience. Kanan's tone had changed from positive and cheary to sad and somber. Zeb saw the pain in Kanan's eyes, he had been through it too.
Before Zeb could ask Kanan spoke up, "It's been a few years. It doesn't get easier, the loss, I mean. But I tell myself something that makes me feel better."
Zeb was shocked, "Oh yeah, and what's that?"
"That I am here now. So I should live because my friends can't, and I should put my life to some good use, like taking down the Empire in any way we can."
Zeb thought about what Kanan said, and it made him feel sick about himself. Since Lasans fall, all he had done was attempt to forget about his past instead of honoring it. Literally going from one bar to the next as he drowned his sorrows and starting fights.
"Don't worry, I went through the same habits before I met Hera.
Zeb was now starting to get rather freaked out, "How do you seem to know what I'm thinking."
Kanan shrugged his shoulders and smiled, "It's a gift. But in all seriousness, if you want to think about making something more of life, Hera and I would like you to join us."
Zeb thought about it, he knew what they did was crazy, but then again what other offers were there for him.
"I'll think about it." Zeb offered, it was all he could honestly say at the moment.
"While thinking about it, think you'll want something to eat?" Kanan tried to offer again.
Zeb did think about it and he had to admit, he was rather hungry.
"I could go for a sandwich I guess." Zeb stated.
Kanan stood right up, "On it. I'll make my famous chicken melt."
Zeb smiled, "No sugar right?"
The two males laughed at Zeb beginning to open up.
Zeb smiled at the memory.
"I guess I should have guessed back then that you were a jedi; with how much you knew with what was going through my mind."
Zeb then recalled what he and the others just found out about Kanan's past.
Zeb's ears fell in despair, "Though I guess some of those guesses were from your own experiences."
Zeb sighed as he spoke up, "I'll be honest, I wish you had told us about all that stuff. About your master and all that; but I understand why you didn't talk about it. Just like how I didn't want to talk about Lassan."
Zeb was not sure if he was talking more to Kanan or himself at the moment.
"You know what I'm talking about, you wonder if you could have done more, if one more attack or move could have saved someone. You must have been playing the 'what if' game in your head longer than I have."
Zeb then got rather angry as he went on, "But like, why didn't you tell us about what happened to you. When I first met you guys you seemed to be telling me that I should confront my past while you had been keeping this from us."
Zeb had to take a deep breath and find some clarity in his mind before he could go on. After all yelling at a comatose patient did not seem like the best idea.
"I guess looking back though you just didnt want the past to make me do stupid things like getting hammered every other day."
Zeb then told him what they all were thinking, "I do wish you would have told us about what happened to you though," Zeb stood up as he flung his hands in the air, "Like how could you think we would view you as a coward. You were fourteen, and surrounded by troopers who you thought were your friends. It was an ambush, your master told you to run! When I was in the honor guard you listened to your higher ups and that's what you did. How could you think we would think less of you for surviving?"
Zeb sat down as he calmed down and pointed out, "We all had to survive some hard times, and do questionable things to get here now."
Zeb looked down at his friend; who was now fighting for his life. The multitude of cuts were still visible. It was painful for Zeb to look at Kanan. Those blasted Inquisitor's had used him as a cutting block and Zeb had been unable to do anything to stop it. Kanan had gotten more than his fair share of beatings. Why did life always seem to be targeting his friend more than anyone he knew?
Zeb put his hand on the tub and assured his friend, "If you can make it through what you had to, then I know you can get out of this mess too."
With that, the Lasat went back to his weapon, just looking at it as he sat and wondered when Kanan would wake up.
SWR
Sato was sitting in the room looking at Kanan, who was so still and appeared lifeless, except for his rising chest. That along with the equipment was the only reassurance Sato had that Kanan was still alive. The poor man had suffered far more than what was fair. Sato had seen how heartbroken the crew looked when Kanan had been dead for three minutes. The doctors had told them that two more and Kanan would have been gone for good. Sato hated the idea that one of the last Jedi would be taken out in such a gruesome way. Now he was worried about when Kanan would wake up.
"You have to pull through Kanan. The crew will be devastated if you don't make it and … well to be honest I don't want to see another Jedi go; there are so few of you left and … well I owe the Jedi a big thanks for how I ended up being here now. You see, the Jedi helped me when I was a child.
"Jun Sato, where have you run off to now?" a woman shouted.
The 10 year-old boy Jun sat in the courtyard of their house. Jun knew his mother hated when he ran off but he just loved to hear his grandmother's crazy stories about the Jedi.
"You should see what your mother wants," his grandmother said.
"But I would rather hear your crazy stories," Jun grinned.
"They are not crazy boy," his grandmother said.
"Come on grandma. Do you really want me to believe that Jedi have a power called 'The Force', and they can fight better than normal men, have better senses and heal people; all that seems nonsense" Jun grinned.
His grandmother sent him a disapproving look and sigh just as his mother arrived.
"There you are Jun. Now go to the town and buy some bread and be careful, the pirates have increased their attacks. Get back quickly and avoid trouble" his mother warned.
"Mother please I am sure I will be fine," Jun said even though he was a little worried the pirates had attacked several people and robbed them of their money and possessions.
They had requested help from the Senate but so far there had been no reply. Jun pushed it aside and took the money and left to go to town.
SWR
Jun was about to leave town after buying the bread when he saw two strangers he had never seen before. It was not pirates, they were dressing far too strangely to be that. There was a young man maybe two or three years older than himself in a light robe inside with a slightly darker cloak put over it. The older male was dressed in much the same way. All though the younger seemed to have found one of the fruits from a seller to be interesting.
"Come along Obi-Wan" the older man called.
"Yes master" the young man named Obi-Wan answered and hurried over to the man.
Master? Who were those two strangers? Suddenly a wind made their robes blow up exposing … no way was that a lightsaber? Jun knew he should go home but this was way too good to pass up. He could finally see if the tale was true. Jun stuffed the bread in his bag and ran after the two.
SWR
Jun had followed them for some time when they stopped as he did not want to see him. He looked and found that there was a small hill near them that he went to and crawled up at. Jun looked at the two Jedi and knew he would finally find out what was the truth. Jun looked as the two waited before a sound was heard from the bikers. Jun starred as five huge men on the bikes before they stopped and stood off before they walked over to the two Jedi.
"Looky here boys. These two look like they are loaded" one of the men grinned.
Jun's eyes widened and he was worried if something happened to the two strangers?
"We have come to order you to stop robbing people and disrupting their lives," the older man said.
"Sure old man, just give us the money," one of them grinned.
Jun looked frightened at the scene; he was not sure he had made a wise decision coming here. The two men drew out their lightsaber making Jun stare. Those looked cool now he could finally find out if all the tales were true. The pirates grabbed their blasters and before he knew it there was a full fight going. Jun had to admit the Jedi was pretty good. Jun moved a little closer and suddenly the soft ground where it had rained the night before gave away. Jun slided down the hill and landed on the ground in the middle of the fight. The two Jedi stopped not wanting to hurt him. Jun looked up just as a pirate ran over and grabbed him and pressed a knife at his throat making him stay still as fear arose.
"If you come near I will slice his throat" the pirate sneered.
Jun dared not struggle as the five pirates moved on to their bikes with him. Jun groaned as he was tossed in front of one of the pirates and drove off with Jun looking desperate back.
SWR
Jun was sitting in a small cell at the pirates ship scared of what they would do to him. Right now he bitterly wished he had gone straight home like his mother had told him. Who knows what the pirates would do to him? From the cell he could see the pirates walking around.
"What should we do with the kid?" one of the pirates asked.
"Keep him around we can either use him as a house servant or sell him in a shadow port. But the Jedi are nearby and have a tendency to 'protect' the innocent. so he will remain here for now." another said.
Jun curled together scared over what would become of him when suddenly he heard a noise. Out of nowhere - as far as he could see - the young man from earlier jumped out and drew his lightsaber. The pirates drew out their blasters and tried to shoot him only for him to deflect the shots and some of them fell. Jun, scared, pushed himself into the far corner of the cell. It was the only thing he could do to avoid being hit.
"Grab the kid" one of the pirates shouted and a pirate ran up to the cell and was about to open the cell door when he fell and collapsed. Jun looked around and saw that all the pirates had been defeated and lay on the floor. Jun moved back as the young man came closer.
"Don't worry we won't hurt you" the young man said.
Jun starred as the young man lightened his lightsaber and cut the metal door open like it was nothing. Relieved he got out and was face to face with the two jedi.
"WOW you two are awesome" Jun said.
The older man looked at him with a pointed finger, making his cheeks burn; he knew he was up for a lecture.
"Thank you but I hope you have learned something today," the older man said.
Jun blushed a little as he looked at the older man in shame.
"Not to follow after you?" Jun asked.
"Yes that too, but more important to not just charge into a situation without a plan. As you learned today, such things can be very dangerous" the older man said.
Jun hung his head in shame.
"I am sorry. I just … my grandmother always told these crazy stories and I wanted to see if they were true" Jun said.
"I see. Well you clearly have a good head on your shoulders. Observing from a distance without the pirates discovering you was a good strategic move" the older man said.
"Thank you mister …?" Jun asked.
"Qui-Gon Jinn and this is my padawan Obi-Wan," Jin said and gestured to the young man at his side.
"Well thank you to both of you. I better get home" Jun said.
"We will follow you home so you wont get into mischief" Qui-Gon said.
"I won't but I would still like to follow you if you don't mind," Jun said.
Obi-Wan smiled and looked to his master nodded and all three of them left.
SWR
"So you see Kanan or Caleb or whichever you prefer, a Jedi taught me to be tactical. I owe them a lot of thanks. So many owe something to the Jedi and they don't even know it. You can't leave us like this and the crew will be so heartbroken. I worry already over their mental state" Sato said and looked at him.
Sadly nothing seemed to happen. Sato sighed as he looked at the clock. Soon Sabine would come in. Hopefully she would have better luck than him.
SWR
Sabine looked at Kanan lying completely still; just like every time she had been on watch, just like when the doctors had brought him back. It was a terrible thing to see Kanan immobile, unable to say or do anything. It was better than when he had been on the brink of death and thrashed in agony. It was a sight that Sabine wished she could forget, but doubted she would. It was as if every chance for things to go back to before the imprisonment faded with each thrash Kanan whipped in his unstable state.
Sabine almost wondered though if it was better for him in his comatose state then having him wake up and hear the tragic news that the others were dealing with. That Ezra was still missing and that despite scouts best efforts to locate him, all they have been able to find so far was several places Ezra had not gone. Sabine knew that when Kanan heard that their youngest member was missing, he might have a full out panic attack. The man could not afford that, not with medical personnel claiming that it will take Kanan weeks to fully recover, longer for his fingers.
Those fingers that she was responsible for having broken. A tiny part of her did not want to face those consequences. How could she ever deserve Kanan's forgiveness let alone face him? Perhaps … Perhaps if she apologized now, Kanan would somehow know when he woke up. That way she could avoid having to do so when he was awake. In fact, wasn't this much better than forcing Kanan to watch her as she apologized before he no doubt would tell her that he did not want to see her again? Sabine looked at Kanan's hand before she internally agreed it would be at the very least worth a try.
Sabine took a deep breath and attempted her apology, "Listen Kanan I … I am sorry ….," Sabine then stopped herself, "Yeah right that will work.," she told herself in annoyance. Perhaps being more specific would be better,
"I'm sorry that I caused your fingers to be broken..." Sabine shook her head that just stating the facts would not be good enough.
"Kanan please believe me, when I yelled at the Inquisitor, I was trying to keep him away from you, not lure him towards you." Sabine then thought that what she said seemed like a defense, "Yeah that is not working either" Sabine mumbled.
"Look Kanan. When I said that I felt sorry for you, I did. I mean, I have often wondered how you survived, but I wanted you to tell me freely; not under the force of some monster. I did not want you to be forced and I feel like I needed to tell you. I wanted you to know that when I shouted ..." now it really seemed like an excuse for her actions,
"No … Arrgh, how can I explain this?" Sabine mumbled at the end.
Sabine took a deep breath before she could gather what she truly wanted Kanan to know and understand, "Kanan I … I am trying to explain to you that I wanted to help you. I … I guess I did not think it through; I let my anger at what was happening to us and you guide my bad decision. I just could not stand the way he kept electrocuting you and then breaking your wrist so I shouted at them. I thought the Inquisitor would hurt me, not seek revenge by taking it out on you. I felt awful seeing you have your fingers broken because of my choices, but judging by your wounds, you must have gotten even worse when we arrived on the Star Destroyer.
"I … know you understand my frustration at being on one of those again, being on one before where I …" Sabine shivered, unable to finish. "You must have been electrocuted excessively. Pressure on your broken shoulder. I have seen it all except the cuts. I have no idea what they could have used to cut in so deep that it reached bone. Even cutting into the bone itself. Gosh Kanan what did this to you?" Sabine said and shook her head, she was getting off track, she was there to apologize to Kanan, not judge his level of torture - some of them because of her.
"Kanan l hope you can hear me. I want you to know I did not intend for it to go so wrong for you. I did not intend for your fingers to get broken. So please… Please don't hate me for it, okay? Or at the very least don't hate me too much Kanan? You mean so much to me…. and…" Sabine hiccuped as she sobbed, "I don't know if I could handle you being mad at me, or never talking to me again. Just please Kanan please forgive me, and understand how awful I feel about all this." Sabine said with deep pain in her voice.
Sabine very gently took Kanan's uninjured hand and held it to her cheeks. Kanan had done so much for her and now he was injured because of her. The worst part was that it wasn't the first time she had hurt him.
"Kanan, please forgive me" Sabine whispered and very gently squeezed his hand.
Sabine for a tiny moment was sure she felt a small squeeze back and was so surprised that she let go of his hand.
"Hera, Sato, Zeb!" Sabine shouted, making a doctor from another room come running in.
"Miss Wren, what is wrong?" the doctor shouted nervously as he rushed towards Kanan.
"He squeezed my hand!" Sabine shouted happily.
The doctor went over and checked Kanan while Sabine called the rest. It did not take long before the rest of them were in the room waiting for any news. Finally the doctor was finished.
"I am sorry but nothing indicates that he is waking up. I have checked all the monitors and surveillance. There is no change from the last half hour. I am afraid you have imagined it. It sometimes happens to people related to a comatose patient; people wanting to think that a patient is improving without it really happening. It is actually very common" the doctor said.
"But I am sure he squeezed …" Sabine began
"Your hand?" the doctor guessed before he continued "yes that is a classic among people waiting for a patient to wake up. I am sorry but for now, it isn't possible" the doctor apologized before leaving.
Sabine looked at Kanan, unable to face the rest only to feel a hug from Hera.
"I am sure he will wake up soon, Sabine," Hera said from the doorway as she approached the crestfallen girl.
"I … I was just so sure" Sabine mumbled.
"I know Sabine but it will happen. Count on that. Kanan is too stubborn not to," Hera said as she hugged her Mandalorian.
As they left the room Sabine felt horrible, partly because she was sad that Kanan hadn't woken up, but also because she was relieved that he didn't.
SWR
Back and forth; from the left side of the room, to the right side. As the clone paced the med room where Kanan was, Rex couldn't help but feel so uncomfortable being in the room of the Jedi. It had only been about ten minutes and Rex already feels he overstayed his welcome in the man's presence.
"In case you wake up and freak out, but for some reason can hear me now, know this was Hera's idea." Rex told the unconscious man.
This was true...kind of. Hera wanted everyone to help with watching over and talking with Kanan. Rex questioned if he should be amongst the 'Kanan crowd'. But after Hera told Rex that she would appreciate someone who knew Kanan from… before, he couldn't say no to her. Rex was still not sure if it had been the plea in her voice or the threats of all sorts of punishment in her eyes if he disagreed with her that had persuaded him.
"I guess Hera thinks that because I knew you when you were Caleb, that maybe I should be here. But honestly I don't see that logic."
Rex sighed as he stopped where he was, right at the center of the med bay.
"You were Caleb, but that was a long time ago," Rex then thought about it, "I guess in comparison with the rest of the universe, fourteen years is not so long, but to us it was another life, another lifetime."
Rex approached the tub that held Kanan. With the man's eyes. closed, it was hard to recall that the man in the tub, the man who seemed to want to fight Rex every other day was the eager kid who only wanted to fight the sepretist.
"In another lifetime, we would have been good friends, and fought each other's side."
Rex sat down as he thought. How it was a shame the two didn't fight alongside one another, and wondered how it would have changed things for them now.
As Rex thought of the possibilities, he smiled and laughed.
"After we met you… I remember Wolffe, Gregor, and a few others talking about you."
Rex then realized how that came out, "Not in a bad way," Rex then realized, "wait why am i clarifying, your in a coma," Rex then realized he did it again, "Not that it's a problem. It's just that I don't know if you can or can't hear me. Like I want to but it's hard and-...wait, where was I going with this?"
Rex then remembered, "Right, what we thought of you. Well it was that evening after we say Depa and you
Rex was polishing his helmet before heading back to bed for the evening when he heard Gregor speak up.
"That kid is going places." he spoke
"Who? Rex wondered.
"You don't mean Bilaba's padawan?" Wolfe spoke up.
"What other kid did we talk to today?" Gregor spoke as he continued, "Besides, I like him, seems eager to get out there and show himself."
"Eager isn't the same as capable," Wolffe pointed out, "he is still too young, too green."
"Kid is thirteen, just a year younger than Ahsoka when she became padawan to Master Skywalker."
No student is the same." Rex pointed out as he got up and put his shined helmet away.
"Rex is right," Wolffe pointed out, "You can't compare the two."
Rex then turned to his brothers and gave his two cents, "Never-the-less, Caleb does seem like he is capable of fighting in battle with us; with some more training under way."
Wolffe shrugged his shoulders, if you say so."
Rex then chuckled and smirked as he pointed out, "As I recall, you had similar doubts with both Skywalker entering battle, and Ahsoka being a Padawan."
Wolffe was silent for a bit, before he rolled his eyes, "Whatever, I am going to bed."
With that Wolffe left the area. Once the doors were closed Gregory asked, "You really think Caleb is capable?"
"I said it didn't I?" Rex questioned his brother.
"Yeah but I figured you just said it to shut Wolffe and me up."
Rex looked at Gregory and told him the truth, "Nah you guys are bringing up important points. If the war is going to continue, then we should know who we might fight alongside. Who knows he might be our leader one day. Provided we live that long"
"So what do you think of the kid?" Gregory asked again.
"The kid seems eager, but that eagerness comes from a naive nature. Caleb hasn't seen war yet so he's optimistic nature could plunder.
"However, the kid does know what he talks about when discussing strategies, and when he doesn't he asks; it's important to know when to ask questions.
"Yes but that kid asks questions all the time. Sometimes I think his brain produces them faster than his mouth can form them. Imagine if he was Skywalker's apprentice. We would have to protect him 24/7 or Skywalker would strangle him for all his questions" Rex pointed out all though he was grinning at the end, "Skywalker hates being questioned.
True, but still with all that and being trained by Depa, the kid has the chance for greatness. Maybe even end up on the council one day."
Gregor smiled at Rex's conclusion. Rex then stretched and announced, "I'm heading to bed now, Night."
With that Rex headed to bed.
"Wolffe and Gregor always had the most interesting debates; about what we would all do after the war, the best generals, sweet vs salty. That one about you though was one of the few I found most interesting.
Rex looked down at Kanan once more and admitted, "I was stupid not to realize who you were sooner. it's not like we knew each other well, but still I should have done the math. Caleb being your age now, that you are a surviving Jedi. I should have asked for your real name. Heck I remembered every padawan that was in the war, no Kanans'. You clearly had to have changed your name. I should have asked…" Rex then thought as he questioned, "But would you have told me?" Rex fell silent as he remembered how much Kanan hated him, hated clones.
"I don't know what your clones did to you but I am not like them. I was smart, I found a way out."
Rex then made up his mind. "I'll be honest, I knew why you hated me, but I didn't care. didn't make it this far in life with everyone liking me. So I would ignore the glares and remarks and give some back to handle you. Now I see that way of handling things wasn't the best course of action. I should have told you what I did to avoid Order 66. So I will tell you. Rather or not you will accept me afterwards I don't care. But I do care that you know that I am not like other clones."
Rex then pointed out, "So wake up, if for no other reason, so you can argue with me."
Of course nothing happened and Rex sat silently watching until his shift had ended.
A/N So we have dived into the background story of the characters and we will explore the other half shortly.
