As cap exited the transport with sabra it was only then that he understood the deeper meaning to her words about what he meant to the Jewish nation everywhere. The Idf was there in full honor guard. As cap understood it the honorary welcome they gave him rivaled a head of state.

Jesus. I'm not that special. He was saluted constantly. And what I did I didn't do alone. Bucky Peggy and many other brave people did their part too. We all did. We just did what had to be done. What was right.

We weren't the greatest person. We were the greatest generation. That's a lotta people. A lotta people did a lotta bad during all that too. Can't have one without the other. Can't have cap without red skull and vice versa.

A man approached him. He looked familiar to cap but wasn't sure from where. "Captain Rogers. This is indeed a great honor. I am Eli Woodward; director of Mossad." "Thank you for this welcome director. I don't know what to say." "Nothing needs to be said Captain. You are a righteous gentile. It doesn't matter what your critics say about you. That will never mean anything here." Cap gave a small nod to that. "Please come with me."

Woodward Sabra and cap got into a car with a security escort and proceeded to Mossad HQ.

"The rabbinate is treating this entire occasion as a holy affair." Woodward's words made greater sense to cap at that moment. It was because he was an angel too. They viewed him as an agent of Yahweh sent to Israel at this particular time; a dark time. A time when Iran and other enemies of the Jewish state were near to creating weapons of mass destruction to wipe out the Israelis for good. Anti Semitism was up everywhere too as the Jews were blamed yet again for the errors of others. It had always been that way.

The Israelis had always been good at kicking ass. And like cap they didn't like bullies of any kind. That made them kindred in many ways.

"Torah is open ended for most of us Captain. That gives us a perspective that Christianity and Islam doesn't have. The future isn't set in some kind of stone. Nothing so fixed." "I understand director. But I also hope you realize I'm no messiah or anything like that. I'm an angel. But an angel man or something like that. Not a god man or anything." "We don't view you that way at all. We see you as an agent of heaven sent here to defeat evil during a dark time. And that time is soon approaching."

"There have been…prophecies Captain."

Cap hadn't experienced any visions but his angelic instincts did seem to suggest there were bigger things going on behind the scenes. It was hard to explain; but spiritual things easily fell into that spectrum of consideration.

He also took note that their security escort was heavier than might be customary on Israeli soil. Abroad sure; but in the heart of Israeli territory… it did seem a little odd. Cap wanted to ask about threats but chose to wait for now. Answers would come soon enough he figured.

I'm here already aren't I? Just go with the flow Steve.
