His Silent Scream

Chapter 44

Author Notes: Welp we're back and this chapter is going to be split into two different sections which always makes it easier for me to not only time skip-but not get bored writing lol. Also I forgot to bring this up last time but I mentioned virtual cookies-and that's just that.

I can't give an actual cookies but awesome job for figuring things out Carrie lol. Now ladies and gents, it is time to get the ball rolling. As always I do not at all own Yugioh.

3rd P.O.V

The rest of the week, to everyone's surprise ended without incident. Although Haou Had...much to his anguish had to tell the rest of his friends why he had his breakdown in the library. Both Yoko and Jehu told him that he didn't have to go into detail. That he didn't have to stress himself out like this.

But Haou realized now was as good a time as any to be honest with himself and to the people he cares for. It was a big step forward as he gathered all of his friends to his apartment the next day. Telling them of his past with Chazz, why he was so cautious and distant.

His eyes were trained on the horrified expressions made when he took off his shirt. Revealing his scars. Jehu was behind him, keeping his hands on the boy's hips. Giving him support and a physical ground to reality.

It was realized soon after by Yugi and Yami when they were told what happened that what Haou was undergoing was a severe case of PTSD or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder due to his middle school days. Disorienting his sense of time and place on top of being a slave to his memories.

So Jehu stayed with him, beaming with pride as his lover stayed strong. The couple waited a few moments after Haou finished his tale. Tension forming in their frames as all they were met with was silence...only for Alexis to cry before grabbing the brunette into a tight, bone breaking hug.

Her actions caused everyone else to move. Breaking their spell of paralysis, each of them approached and in their own way made very clear, sincere statements. They were sorry. They cared. They weren't going anywhere. "Thanks guys."

Tears were streaming down his face, feeling a sense of serenity. Off to the side Yoko cried with Jim wrapping his arm around her, the two of them smiling. For the first time in a long time, the burdens that plagued Yoko and Haou were lifted off of their shoulders.

Spring was here! Specifically the Spring Festival~

"How did I get dragged into this?" Haou muttered as he was in the gym, Hassleberry shrugging next to him. "As Axel tells me, blame private Atticus." The two were the only ones in their friend group there.

The rest total strangers as Ms. Fontain blew a whistle. "Alright boys and girls it's time for dodgeball!" Sudden death eliminations. Randomized teams, and the surviving men(and women) of one side standing there would get a gift card of thirty dollars.

Haou was...not a sports kind of guy. But he just had to randomly get picked from the stands to participate. "Good luck guys!" At least he had Tyranno in his corner. The military sophomore and him already having each other's backs against the onslaught of enemies. Haou didn't care really for the prize.

But he didn't want to get pelted with dodgeballs either, so while he caught the balls, Tyranno would be throwing them. Becoming a rapid firing ball machine. And like Hassleberry's previous statement...the reason Haou was here in the first place was because of Atticus.

The moron was originally supposed to be down here. But right before the game started he left for the bathroom. So Ms. Fontain still needing a player had to choose another random number, choosing Haou's seat. There just never seems to be an end to the elder Rhode's trouble.

At least he paid for it during Fool's Massacre. Becoming a piñata for his ex's to wail on him. He had terrible luck while Haou came out unscathed thankfully enough. Most people though weren't as terrified of him anymore with his partaking's in the festivals this year and for his new look, they still didn't want to mess with him.

Not to mention the three guys that were screwing with him found themselves under heavy heat. Like he promised his boyfriend, Professor Banner was told of the incident. And the wise teacher played his cards very well in telling the trio there were to be consequences for their actions.

Asking each of them to meet him in his room, playing the video recording he(not true) played when he found them attacking Haou. And not a single one of them questions how he managed to obtain it. Not once did he break his story and slip that he himself wasn't there to see it.

Or that the brunette had tattled on them. No. He acted as if he were there witnessing it himself, making each of the boys squirm in their seats. The middle aged man still had a smile on his face, a cup of tea in his hand as he addressed their inexcusable behavior.

'Now i'm sure I do not have to remind you all that bullying is strictly prohibited. Such transgressions would mean an emergency meeting between the principal, both parties and their families...' The students froze at the statement. Knowing that they were in so much trouble.

Their parents would not be wanting to come to a meeting because the boys thought it was funny to try hurting a classmate of theirs. Especially if Haou decided to press charges. 'Pl-please sir! Don't tell on us-we've learned our lesson!' It was just the statement Banner was hoping to hear.

They've played their cards, now he has to play his ace. But he couldn't rush things, it's been a long time since he's had the opportunity to bring out his cruel side. Not to mention he needed to make sure these children Knew exactly who they were dealing with.

Thoughtfully taking a sip of his drink with a small hum(leaving them to sweat nervously) 'I suppose I could overlook this. You all seem genuinely apologetic. But this IS a big deal. What can you say to guarantee your word that this will not take place again?'

They gave whatever promises they could think of to save their asses.

'We'll stop messing with his locker and stuff.'

'We'll find him and apologize.'

'We won't bother Haou or anyone else ever again!'

'We'll clean you're science lab for a week.'

He decided to stop them there, figuring that would be more than enough. 'Very well. So long as you follow your promises I will not bring this to Mr. Sheppard or your parents. However...' The sun that was shining through the windows became shrouded in clouds.

Allowing Mr. Banner to seem more dangerous as he took off his glasses. Opening them to reveal cruel eyes. The boys found themselves flinching, instinctually backing away from the now incredibly intimidating teacher.

'Should I find out that you are causing anyone else unnecessary harm, let me just say that there will be far more important things to worry about then your parents finding out how you've treated your fellow students. Rather they'll be more concerned about finding your missing corpses.'

With skittish nods, they hightailed it out of there, leaving a dust trail in their wake. Allowing Banner to close his eyes with a smile before returning to his tea. Sipping it, while happily continuing his paperwork. As if what happened never transpired.

"Heads up Sarge!" With a grunt Haou quickly maneuvered out of the way, just in time to avoid an oncoming assault. "And there's Haou Yuki sweeping the ground with a perfectly timed leap! Already back into position for Tyranno Hassleberry to throw another barrage of balls!"

Adrien was grinning into his mic. Playing the role as the announcer and judge for the game. Girls were squealing in their seats as several popular picks were still in the game. The previously two belonging to a small but dedicated group of fans.

Whereas the majority were shooting for the other team. "Ohhh a smooth tuck and roll from Makoto Inostume!~" Consisting of the newly transferred Chazz Princeton, a popular aristocratic Aster Phoenix, and the star of the football team Makoto Inostume.

Haou's friends who remained in the stands cheering him and Tyranno on were worried at first. Jehu obviously when Yoko pointed out the boy. He recognized him instantly from a few weeks back. He was with the group of troublemakers that made Adrien trip.

Already he was given a terrible first impression on the blue haired teen. And he could only hope Haou kept himself together. The two ex friends were forced to face each other. On opposing sides. It wouldn't take much for Haou to get triggered and have another episode.

However he kept himself composed, clutching the yang necklace around his neck as he moved. His gold eyes clear as he swerved to the right. However as Yoko saw the match, she could see something that left her startled.

The young Princeton was doing his utmost to avoid trying to hit the brunette, and Haou as of showing a sign of respect(or was it fear?) kept far from him, choosing to focus on catching Aster's weak throws. Considering there was no way to do so with the antagonistic football jock.

"Stop that Haou!" The golden eyed boy could only offer a silent apology as he gave another ball to his right hand man. "Take this!" His aim was true as the silver haired boy went down. Causing whines of disappointment and cries of dismay to ring out.

Makoto and Tyranno found themselves staring at one another. Their gazes full of animosity as their pride and sweet victory was one person away. "Anyone else feel that?" The air was charged with electricity as Haou and Chazz left, not wanting to get in their way.

Knowing instinctively they'd be brought into the crossfire and become a casualty should they not leave otherwise. Jehu watched with a fierce gaze at the raven haired boy when he approached Haou. Grabbing his wrist as they left.

Narrowing even more as he notice his favorite brunette winced. He rose out of his seat within an instant, giving everyone a small wave and goodbye as he left. There was no reason for him to explain what he was doing as they all saw what was happening.

Swiftly moving down the stairs, he was just barely able to see them make way to the guys locker room. Chazz practically dragging the bluenette's boyfriend. With gritted teeth he rushed for the door, opening it silently. "What do you want Chazz?"

Gold saw amber from behind the rich kid, relieving the fear that was forming in his heart. Still the tension refused to leave his frame. Not until he knew why he was suddenly brought here. "Look-Haou...I." Now that impulse left Chazz he was stuck there with his words unable to properly form.

Scowling at himself for what he was about to do. "I'm Sorry!" Both Haou and a hidden Jehu blinked in surprise, not at all expecting this. "What?" Chazz Princeton NEVER apologized. EVER. Yet here he was, even bowing as one would do in Japan.

Giving the brunette as sincere of a respectful gesture he could. "For what I did back then-you getting hurt. For everything. I'm really sorry!" Well...this was an awkward set of events. And no one knew what to do about it.

to be continued

Author Notes: And here we have a cliffhanger. Haou is being forced to face his past friend turned enemy apologize. It's no surprise that his mind malfunctioned lol. It only begs the question of what's going to happen next.
