RAW is WAR: 17/5/1999
RAW is WAR was live at the National Car Rental Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Fireworks scream and explode on the entrance ramp joining others as Over the Edge was 6 days away and counting.
Jim Ross said, "Welcome, everybody to RAW is War! The enthusiasm, the atmosphere is electrifying and what two huge main events we have tonight. Stone Cold Steve Austin's intense fighting style will meet Triple H's smooth, technical style but that's not all, King."
Jerry the "King" Lawler nodded, "Oh you're right there, JR. We got a Casket Match here on RAW, which is a rarity. The Rock against the Undertaker, broken arm and all!"
OOOOOOWHOOOOOO!
Jim Johnston's Dark Side plays as Fire goes off on the stage and the lights change to dark red and dark blue as the Bladewolf and Kane walk out, getting a loud pop from the fans. They had their WWF Tag Team Championships on their shoulders.
"The following Six-Man Tag-Team contest is scheduled for one fall. Making their way to the ring, at a combined weight of 636 lbs, they are the World Wrestling Federation Tag Team Champions...THE BROTHERS OF DESTRUCTION!" Tony Chimel announced.
The two brothers walk down towards the ring, both climbing onto the ring apron then go over the top rope. Kane raises his arms then throws them down, causing fire to shoot up from the turnbuckles in an explosion. Bladewolf removes his trench coat and dumps it out the ring, shoving his title into the referee's hands while pacing a little as Kane hands his title to the referee and the two brothers stand side by side.
"Bladewolf and Kane have been so dominant as the Tag Team Champions, defending their titles every week on Sunday Night HEAT." JR said. "That is one of the most destructive, dangerous duos in the history of the WWF."
"Right." Jerry nods.
Road Dogg's theme hits and out he comes to join his tag team said in the microphone, "I'll make this short and sweet. If you're not down with this gleesome threesome, I got two words for ya!" He raises the microphone for the fans to say "Suck it"!
Billy Gunn's music hit and Tony Chimel continued, "And their opponents. First. Weighing in at 278 pounds, 'Bad Ass' Billy Gunn!" The former New Age Outlaw remembers the ass whipping Kane dished out last week.
His partners emerged as well and Chimel said, "And his tag-team partners. Accompanied by Ivory, at a combined weight of 668 ponds, D-Lo Brown and Mark Henry!" The duo step foot inside the ring and the fans chant "D-Lo sucks".
Once all the superstars were in the ring, the referee calls for the bell.
'Ding! Ding! Ding!'
Bladewolf and Kane step out to the apron while Road Dogg and Mark Henry start the match. Road Dogg feigns a charge attack. He continues this strategy until he's forced to sidestep Mark Henry and lands right hands against the temple. The former Olympian blocks an Irish whip and pulls the opponent in for a hard clothesline. He slams the former New Age Outlaw down the back of Road Dogg's head bounces off the mat. Mark Henry tags Billy Gunn. Gunn walks over and stomps Road Dogg in the corner until the braided-haired man falls to the bottom turnbuckle.
Billy Gunn pulls him up and launches right hands and stops his assault to taunt Kane. Road Dogg attempts to fight back but Billy Gunn reverses an Irish whip and hits the powerslam. Wagging a finger, he slams his boot on Road Dogg's face. Pulling him up by the hair, Gunn tags D-Lo Brown and holds Road Dogg for D-Lo to score hit before Billy Gunn steps out to the apron. D-Lo body slams Road Dogg, does a little taunting and connects the leg drop. He hooks the arm for a suplex and Road Dogg blocks it then counters with his own suplex. He takes this short reprieve to tag Bladewolf in.
"And here comes the Demon Wolf." JR said as Bladewolf adjusts his elbow pad.
D-Lo runs at Bladewolf but is dropped with a big boot by the Demon Wolf who grabs D-Lo from behind and hits a German Suplex across the ring. Bladewolf got to a knee, flipping his hair back as his dark, demonic hellfire eyes glared ahead.
Bladewolf stood tall and walked over to D-Lo who was recovering from the German Suplex. Bladewolf brings his forearm down on D-Lo's back, sending the man down to his knees. Bladewolf knees D-Lo in the ribs a few times, then brings his right fist into D-Lo's ribcage. Bladewolf boots D-Lo in the ehad before picking him up and gives him a suplex across the ring.
"Bladewolf is so dominant, JR," Jerry noted.
JR nodded. "That he is, King."
Bladewolf walks over to D-Lo when he lands a punch to the gut of the Demon Wolf, causing him to grunt and stumble back a step but D-Lo takes advantage and unleashes a fury of lefts and rights to the masked face of the Demon Wolf until Bladewolf uppercuts D-Lo, making him stumble to a knee. Bladewolf runs to rebound off the ropes when Billy Gunn's boot collided with the back of his head, Bladewolf whirls around and punches him off the apron. However, this allows D-Lo to attack him from behind. He brings Bladewolf over to the neighbouring turnbuckle and climbs the second rope for a senton but Bladewolf avoids it so that D-Lo Brown's butt hits the mat instead. Bladewolf uses this opening to reach for one of his partners when Billy Gunn grabs his foot after getting the tag from D-Lo. His effort proves futile because Bladewolf tags Road Dogg.
"And here comes the Dogg!" JR exclaimed.
The former New Age Outlaw unleashes a series of clotheslines on Billy Gunn and sends him to the ropes, launching him into the air with a back body drop. Billy Gunn reverses the second Irish whip, Road Dogg ducks to avoid the right hand and counters with short jabs then shakes his hips to some imaginary music before knocking Gunn down with a good right hand. He nails D-Lo Brown and Mark Henry before connecting Shake, Rattle n' Roll on his opponent. Road Dogg at first goes for the cover but then spots Brown out of the corner of his eye. D-Lo counters a right hand with the sitout powerbomb.
D-Lo turns only to be lifted onto Bladewolf's shoulder, held upside down...AND HIT WITH A TOMBSTONE PILEDRIVER!
Kane notices Billy Gunn about to attack his brother, he intercepts him almost beheading the guy with a nasty uppercut.
Referee Tim White pretty much lets them go at it.
"There's chaos out here!" JR exclaimed. "Both teams are beating the hell out of each other and are now fighting into the crowd!"
The two tag-teams eventually fight in the crowd and Tim White had no choice but declare this match a no contest.
'Ding! Ding! Ding!'
RAW then cut to the next thing.
Later
the Casket Match between The Rock and Undertaker.
The slow Ministry theme hit as the lights dim to the eerie blue light.
Tony Chimel announced, "The following contest is a Casket Match. Introducing first the challenger. Making his way to the ring, from the Corporate Ministry, weighing in at 328 pounds, the Undertaker!" The Phenom walks to the ring, his eyes rolled back.
He walks up the steel steps and raises his arms, rolling his eyes back to return the lights. Stepping through the second rope, Undertaker looks at the casket standing at ringside.
The Rock's music hit and Chimel resumed, "And his opponent. From Miami, Florida, weighing at 275 pounds, The Rock!" Despite having a broken arm, the Brahma Bull advances to the ring. He stops to stare at the casket he might find himself in.
He walks up the pair of steel steps on the other side of the ring and stands on the second turnbuckle before entering.
He ducks a right hand from the Undertaker and counters, quickly pinning the Demon of Death Valley and launching right hands of his own followed quickly by a stomp. He Irish whips Undertaker to the opposing turnbuckle and follows him in but the Deadman kicks up a big boot to stop his advance. The Brahma Bull recovers and clotheslines the opponent.
Undertaker restores his vertical base and Rock presses the assault. He Irish whips Undertaker into the ropes, misses the right hand and lowers his head but the Deadman counters with a DDT. Pinning Rock in the corner Undertaker lands right hands, one to the mid-section and the other to the face. He next nails the head butt.
The camera cuts to backstage to show the Union and Corporate Ministry fighting.
Back with the match, Rock fights his way out of the opposing turnbuckle throwing right hands until the veteran Undertaker counters with an uppercut. He Irish whips The Rock into the ropes and lowers his head but Rock hits the swinging neck breaker. Despite sitting up, Undertaker finds himself body slammed to the mat, setting him up for The Rock's signature move.
He removes the elbow pad on his good arm and leaps over his opponent twice and was about to nail the People's Elbow when he spots Undertaker sitting up, he kicks the Phenom and connects the People's Elbow afterward. He rolls Undertaker over to the casket when Triple H comes to ringside and prevents the Brahma Bull from obtaining victory.
Rocks tells Triple H to come inside the ring, when he doesn't Rock returns his attention to the Demon of Death Valley. He Irish whips Undertaker and Undertaker ducks the clothesline, wrapping his gloved hand around The Rock's throat for the chokeslam when Rock uses the cast on his broken arm as a weapon. He ducks a clothesline from the opponent and sends Undertaker over the top rope and out to ringside where Triple H, Chyna and Shane McMahon wait. Undertaker lands on his feet and pulls Rock's feet out from underneath him and out to ringside as well.
The two exchange blows when Triple H decides to interfere so Rock directs his attention towards him, successfully fending off the man. When Rock towered over him, Undertaker uses a low blow. He next tells Triple H to come over. Triple H does and slams the sledgehammer onto Rock's broken arm, sending waves of mind-numbing pain through Rock's nerves.
Jim Ross exclaimed, "He just drove that sledgehammer right on The Rock's arm! His arm's broken for God's sake!" The force of the impact is so strong that it breaks the cast open.
Undertaker slams the further broken limb on the lid of the casket before rolling Rock into the ring where Triple H stomps on him. Undertaker opens the lid of the casket and Triple H pushes The Rock in and the lid slammed shut, prompting one of the officials to call for the bell.
Tony Chimel announced, "Here's your winner, the Undertaker!" But the Corporate Ministry wasn't done with The Rock.
Triple H locks the casket before stepping out to shove it off the stretcher. He straightens it and dents the lid with the sledgehammer.
OOOOOOWHOOOOOO!
Jim Johnston's Dark Side plays as Fire goes off on the stage and the lights change to dark red and dark blue as the Bladewolf walks out to a loud pop from the fans. The cheering got louder because he had a steel chair in hand.
"Oh my God in Heaven." JR said with horror. "Bladewolf's here to beat somebody to death and I got a feeling it's his older brother!"
"Bu why?" Jerry wodnered. "What did Undertaker do to him?!"
JR gave him a look. "Are you stupid? You saw what happened at last year's Survivor Series, right? Undertaker admitted to setting the fire that orphaned Bladewolf."
"You never know, he might be out here to hurt the Rock." Jerry pointed out.
Bladewolf walks down the ramp, glaring at everyone in the ring. Triple H runs up the ramp to take Bladewolf down...BUT GETS A STEEL CHAIR TO THE SKULL! Chyna runs to help Triple H...BUT GETS A CHAIR SHOT TO THE HEAD AS WELL!
"Good God!" JR exclaimed. "That sickening chair shot off the skull!"
Despite knowing it was a death wish, Shane charged out the ring and charged at Bladewolf but is met with a big boot that drops Shane hard and badly. Bladewolf turns his gaze to his older brother and tosses the chair aside as he stands at the ring apron before he slides into the ring and the crowd comes unglued as the two brothers start fighting each other.
"And here we go!" JR shouted over the cheers. "Bladewolf and Undertaker! Bladewolf and Undertaker! Going fist to fist!"
Bladewolf takes each blow his big brother dished out and counters with harder blows of his own causing Undertaker to reel. They end up outside the ring, and start fighting at the top of the entrance ramp and Bladewolf's thirst for destruction won't be denied. He ducks the right hand and wraps his hand around Undertaker's throat in preparation for a chokeslam.
"Uh oh! Undertaker may be going for a ride!" JR said as Bladewolf prepares to Chokeslam his brother when Chyna attacks him from behind. "Chyna stopping it!"
Releasing his oldest brother, Bladewolf whirls around, grabs Chyna's neck, lifts her up...AND CHOKESLAMS HER ON THE STAGE!
"Good God! Good God!" JR shouted in horror. "Oh God, did you hear that? That's a human being chokeslammed right on solid steel!" He then saw Bladewolf do the Rest in Peace sign, "It looks like Angel's not done yet!"
Bladewolf scoops the Ninth Wonder of the World up...AND HITS A TOMBSTONE ON THE STAGE! However, a Tombstone and a Chokeslam wasn't enough to satisfy Bladewolf's desire and thirst for destruction. He grabs Chyna, lifts her onto his shoulders...THEN HITS THE WOLF'S HOWL!
"My God!" JR shouted. "This man is a monster! A sick, twisted monster! Nothing human about him!"
Bladewolf roars as he raises his arms before throwing them down, causing fire to explode from the stage and ring turnbuckles as Dark Side plays with the lights changing back to the mix of blood red and dark blue, making Bladewolf look like a demon from hell as fire keeps shooting up from the stage. He looks around for Undertaker but saw no sign of him, the Undertaker had escaped his wrath.
Bladewolf turns and heads backstage as EMTs tend to the unconsious superstars left behind at Bladewolf's feet...
And that's it for this chapter. I hope you all enjoyed it.
