Chapter 44
Enzo was just minding his own business after getting off the phone with both Bonnie and Caroline. The quarterback should be making his way back into town any day now, the drive from New Orleans to Mystic Falls only being a few days at most even for a human. So Enzo hummed to himself waving at the newly dubbed Sheriff, as the lovely Liz Forbes was officially on her way to New Orleans herself.
Enzo couldn't help but pout. Was everyone going to get to go on a trip except him?
Sure, he stayed to keep an eye on the traveler's along with their mysterious informant, Nadia. The daughter of Katherine had turned out to be a treasure trove of information to send back to the Mikaelson's. So much information that Enzo felt that he was almost done with his debt. He'd feel free to explore to his heart's content soon enough.
Perhaps talking a certain witch into joining him. Enzo grinned to himself thinking just how enjoyable those trips would be. That was when something caught his attention out of the corner of his eye.
Tyler Lockwood.
The golden child of the town's mayor had finally returned home. Enzo made sure to be well informed of everyone in town. Especially after Caroline had spoken about the boy. Quick tempered, from a wealthy family, turned into a werewolf then forcibly turned into a hybrid by Klaus.
Enzo absolutely understood why Tyler hated the Mikaelson's, Klaus in particular.
Yet, Enzo was unfortunately indebted to the original family along with their blonde extended family member and her witchy friend. In fact, he had grown very fond of both witch and blonde as he recuperated from the hands of his captors. Not to mention that the Mikaelson's had helped Caroline release him which spoke volumes of their care for her.
So even if he had very little feelings for any of the original family, outside of ensuring he didn't manage to kill the one who sired his line, Enzo cared for the former blonde vampire and her witchy friend. As long as Caroline, the one who orchestrated his release was attached to the originals he would help them.
She offered not only freedom but friendship. That was something only a fool would ignore. Enzo's eyes caught the way Lockwood was soon joined by a familiar man. The traveler's so called leader. Nadia called him Markos.
He stood alongside the Lockwood boy, Enzo slowed his gait enough and focused in on their conversation. Making sure to not overtake them but appear just another one of the crowd.
"You want me to get Elena and Stefan back here?" Tyler asked incredulously.
"You are friends with them, yes?" Markos confirmed, Enzo nearly snarled at the way the man's eyes darkened.
"I've known Elena for years, why do you need them?" Tyler returned with a question of his own laced with skepticism.
"Doppelganger blood is full of magical properties. Elena is the last human doppelganger and Stefan is one of two of his own."
"Elena isn't the only doppelganger, her ancestor Katherine is still around." Tyler informed Markos, but Enzo could see the way his body tensed at hearing that Stefan was a doppelganger as well. Enzo almost snorted after finding out from Caroline just how wild her former adventures were. The vampire knew the werewolf was close to seething.
The idiot probably thought Klaus could have used something other than Elena for his bloody ritual, despite her being human as a key factor during that particular adventure.
Directing his attention back to the conversation Enzo heard, "We just need one pair. We know that this particular pair is together, perhaps you could get them to come back home?"
"You need doppelganger blood for a spell, I get that. Why do you need my help? Why should I offer it?"
"Help us collect the doppelganger's and we can ensure they no longer bother your town and you can go back to your normal life. Was it not the Salvatore's fault that certain supernatural events took place which led to you becoming what you are now?" Markos looked him over, "Or maybe you like what you have become."
Tyler gritted his teeth, "Klaus Mikaelson."
Markos tutted, "Oh yes, the Hybrid. My people simply want to be able to make a home and not be forced out due to the curse that was placed on us. Help us get the doppelgangers and I can assure you the magic required to get what I want will help you get revenge against the original family."
"Will this magic kill Elena?" Tyler asked through gritted teeth but Enzo could see the longing in Tyler's eyes. The promise that they could help him get revenge against Klaus was a temptation that apparently, even a childhood playmate could not compete against.
Enzo could see Markos laugh, "No, of course it won't harm her. We just need an offering of blood."
Enzo wanted to throttle Nadia, why hadn't she gotten to the werewolf and warned him! She had even managed to inform him that the spell the travelers were looking to use required that only one pair survived.
"I'll help."
Growing annoyed, the vampire quickly walked off knowing that he needed to get to fucking Colorado and fast. Once safely away from supernatural ears, and perhaps a bit too cautious, Enzo waited until he had left the town all together heading in the general west coast direction. His fingers pressed familiar numbers.
"Hello?" Came the voice of his favorite witch.
"Love, I need to know exactly where your friend Elena is."
"Enzo what's going on?"
"A high school buddy of yours has decided to help our villain of the month get their hands on another little friend of yours. Want to take any guesses?" Enzo didn't mean to sound so harsh but he was nearing the interstate and it would be nice to know which bloody state he should be heading to.
He heard his witch sigh and the sound of shuffling papers. Enzo smirked as his witch was preparing for something.
"Elena's in Denver, Colorado."
"Love, is the annoying lovesick pup around?" Enzo drawled out slowly as he found the interstate he was looking for. "I need to have a word with him."
Bonnie could be heard sighing in annoyance, "Don't let me regret giving you his freaking number. Honestly surprised you didn't have it already. Caroline is rather good at planning emergencies."
Enzo could feel himself smirk, "She was afraid of the fallout for that one."

Tom's reaction to the woman's introduction could have been worse.
"I'm Hazel Parker."
The dark-haired woman proceeded to apologize for the accommodations but they needed to be kept safe. Tom's stare turned into one of disbelief, upon seeing the distrust in the man's eyes Hazel turned towards Elena.
"I've heard about you Elena Gilbert. I can help keep the two of you safe. You never have to worry about the last two years again."
How long had it been since Hazel took them? Elena couldn't be too sure. One thing for certain, was that the Salvatore brothers would be on the lookout for her. Those two would go to the ends of the earth to keep her safe. The brunette let out a small sigh of relief at that thought, they would always protect her.
Then the dark nasty side of her snarky added, At what cost?
"Elena, what's wrong?" Tom's soft baritone could be heard next to her. Hazel had left them alone saying that she would be back in a few hours. They would be able to talk at length then. Elena could feel the warmth of his arm next to her as the two sat together on the floor. Elena turned her head whispering, "I'm so sorry."
She had wanted a normal life and once again someone else's was taken from them. Elena didn't know what to do, so she buried her head in her arms trying to think. What did Hazel want? If they were after doppelgangers it had to be for some sort of spell.
Tom's brows furrowed, "How on earth are the two of us getting kidnapped, by what appear to be a lunatic family your fault?"
Elena's eyes closed as she leaned her head against the wall, "It's because we're doppelgangers."
"Doppelgangers?"
"Think of it as a twin but generations apart. The last one I knew of was my ancestor Katherine Pierce, she was changed 500 years ago."
"Changed? Like a vampire?" Tom laughed. "Look a like's happen but you want to talk about vampires when we're being held against our will?"
Elena sighed, "I know it sounds insane but my ex-boyfriend Stefan? He looks and sounds exactly like you. Just like Katherine looks and sounds like me…only bitchier."
Tom slowly stopped laughing as he looked at Elena with concern, "You really believe it."
"Tom do you have a birthmark?" Elena asked indicating to his lower left hip.
Tom looked startled, "A lot of people have them."
"In the exact same space as my former boyfriend? Let me guess it's in the shape of…" As Elena finished she couldn't help the sad smile on her face as Tom's gaze turned into skeptical belief.
"Considering you've never seen me naked" Tom's cheeks flushed red.
"Yes, I slept with Stefan" Elena answered leaning against the wall. "I met him and his brother in my junior year. I found out that he was a vampire after we started dating and he helped me deal with some issues that were going on in our town."
"So Stefan's alive?"
"For the last hundred years or so, yes. I believe he is around 160- something?" Elena's brows furrowed trying to do the math in her head. "He was turned in 1864."
When Tom didn't say anything Elena knew that the only way she would get to feel how she felt that night with Tom would be if she could get him on her side. He had to believe her but would he be too afraid to?
"Stefan helped wake me up after my parents died. Even when my best friends couldn't reach me, Stefan could. But several things have happened that led to a distance we couldn't survive. A part of me will always love him and his brother.
Stefan and Damon will always be special to me, they've taught me so much. But I'm tired of fearing for my life, because every time things calm down a new disaster strikes. That's why I'm sorry. Despite being a doppelganger you've managed to not get caught up in the supernatural world for a very long time, until I came around, now because of me you're in the middle of it" Elena had tears streaming down her face.
Elena nearly flinched when Tom's warm hand wiped her tears. "Hey I don't blame you" Tom said softly. "You were just a teenager that got trapped in something that sounds terrifying." Tom continued to sooth, "it's not your fault."
Elena gave him a small smile, "Bet you regret meeting me now."
Tom smiled at her, "not at all. However, I could have done without being kidnapped." Elena leaned into Tom's embrace who in turn wrapped an arm around her, he whispered about needing to figure out a way out of here. Elena allowed him to comfort her but deep down she knew, that unless Damon and Stefan found them the only way to get out here was to find out exactly what Hazel wanted from them.
Elena hoped it was only blood. Fear settled into the pit of her stomach questioning if they needed a doppelganger sacrifice. She doubted that Esther would be the only woman crazy enough to spell or piss off a witch into cursing families. Elena bit her lip looking over at Tom, even if the Salvatore's did find them would Tom make it out alright?
Damon, she knew, would focus solely on her welfare not caring about who else would get hurt in the end. The dark-haired Salvatore had proven this time and time again especially when it came to her friends. He used Bonnie as if she were their witch assassin having her doing spells that were borderline dangerous if not suicidal, and despite Bonnie's insistence that she wanted to keep Elena safe sometimes it felt hallowed like her friend was wondering just how much was too much. But-
Bonnie loves her.
Caroline loves her.
They would do anything to help her, but after each time even Elena knew that the price was starting to be far too steep. Caroline was turned because Katherine wanted to make a statement, Bonnie's grams died because Damon was so insistent on helping to 'save' Katherine. Bonnie was almost controlled by Silas, Caroline has been Klaus and werewolf bait more times that Elena really wanted to count. Even Stefan was willing to allow Caroline to be hurt if it meant keeping Elena away from Damon.
Did she want that fate to fall onto Tom?

When his phone chimed, Niklaus was in the middle of a strategy meeting with Elijah on how to handle the deal Caroline had negotiated with Marcel. Within days of the meeting Marcel had sent a messenger that he would be willing to make a deal in order to save Davina. They were just finishing up the finer details they wished to discuss with Marcel, away from Caroline's prying ears when it rang.
Holding it up to his ear Niklaus let out a low, "this better be good."
"How Care sleeps with you I will never know." Came the snarky voice of the Augustine vampire Caroline was so insistent on saving. Niklaus let out a low growl why must his queen favor the most annoying people. Internally he questioned if he was missing anything from the time Caroline shared her memories with him.
From what he viewed he knew that the vampire on the line became a good friend and one-time lover of the Bennett witch. He also died by the hands of their so-called friends saving a rather unsavory enemy. Nik's clenched his fists recalling the number of increasingly powerful enemies making their way into Mystic Falls or New Orleans over the next decade and more. Caroline had had only a few answers as to what had happened in New Orleans, she only knew the after effects apparently his future self was weary of giving her more information than necessary.
So he knew that he had disappeared for a while but had managed to come back. He also knew that eventually Elijah and himself would sacrifice themselves to be rid of an enemy that was after his daughter. As annoying as the vampire was….Caroline trusts him.
"Enzo I didn't realize I had given you leave to contact me" Klaus growled earning a questioning look from his brother.
"I told Bonnie I needed to speak with you directly. Tyler Lockwood is in cahoots with the Travelers they found Elena."
Eyes flashing amber Klaus slammed his fist onto the desk, Elijah upon seeing his reaction quickly took the phone from his brother before he crushed it in his rage. The traveler's he had met up until Caroline had simply been annoying witches that were cursed to wander earth. Obsessed with Silas and constantly moving around unable to settle in one space.
They had dealt with Silas ensuring Caroline's future could not come to pass. Now the travelers were trying to get their hands on a doppelganger. Perhaps even the set, based on what he had seen in Caroline's mind. Niklaus glared at his brother who held the phone in his hands placing it next to his ear.
"Mr. St. John. Listen to me carefully, where are you now and what exactly do you know?" Elijah spoke curtly into the phone holding his brother by the shoulder. Niklaus growled he was not some pre-pubescent boy unable to control his strength. The look Elijah sent him though told him that his sibling clearly felt otherwise.
"Heading over to Denver Colorado. The Travelers want Tyler to drag Elena back to Mystic Falls."
Elijah let out a slow string of breaths calming himself while his mind went through everything Caroline had managed to tell them. "Good keep making your way there. Let us know what you find, and whatever you do not engage."
The two originals heard a snort on the other end, "Good luck with informing Caroline."

Bonnie Bennett was surrounded by books older than her by at least a thousand years or more. The witch had been looking through the grimoire for hours at this point, wanting to double check the spell Esther had used to turn her children. The problem was that Bonnie didn't have access to doppelganger blood, and add the fact Caroline had swallowed the cure she was in a sticky situation.
They would need to override the cure in order to restore Caroline's immortality. Esther had suggested using Klaus's dormant magic, the magic that had created werewolves in the first place. The magic that also allowed them to find their mates. The problem was finding out a way to tap into the magic and ensure it was bound.
In theory binding her immortality to Klaus's magic would be ideal. While he was alive Caroline would never die yet it was still just that, a theory. Just as Bonnie was about to give up and grab some food the witch heard soft footsteps entering the library.
"Finn said you had been in here all morning" Freya greeted the witch with a soft smile. "I thought you could use some sustenance " The lost Mikaelson lifted up a tray of food as if it were a peace offering.
"Oh. Thank you, Freya," Bonnie mumbled as she sat back down in her chair. Freya walked the rest of the way to the table setting the tray down on an empty space before sitting down in an available chair.
"How is the research coming?"
Bonnie sighed in frustration, "I'm finding no reference in how to bind someone to someone else's dormant magic. There aren't even tales of it being down. How can I be sure it will work?"
"According to my siblings our mother bound Niklaus's werewolf side using doppelganger's blood. She didn't have access to his magic then, seeing as how Nik had yet to awaken his wolf" Freya said thoughtfully.
"How does that help us? Esther used blood as a binding agent."
Yeah but that was then now "Nik's wolf has awakened. Perhaps all we need is my brother" Freya said pushing a sandwich towards the witch. Seeing the confused look on the younger witches face, Freya pointed to the sandwich. "Eat and I will explain."
At Bonnie's exasperated look Freya hummed, "your friend Caroline may have been overheard mumbling about hunting you down and force feeding you. She knows you've been burying yourself in research trying to help her. I believe Rebekah and Katherine were amused by how she kept mumbling on about savior complexes. My sister rolled her eyes and said something about pot meeting kettle?"
Bonnie nearly choked on her food unable to control her laughter. The witch looked to see Freya's confused face and this time she grinned, "It's a saying about when someone is calling another person out when they do the exact same thing. Did Rebekah say Pot calling kettle black?"
Freya nodded, "yes that was the phrase."
Bonnie burst into another round of laughter. After a few minutes the witch needed to wipe her eyes, "ever since we found out about vampires I guess you could say Caroline and I have developed a complex for saving Elena."
"Elena is the doppelganger Klaus used to break mother's curse" Freya deduce smiling wide when Bonnie nodded.
"As you can tell we weren't very happy with Klaus using our friend as a sacrifice" Bonnie said softly. Freya watched as her fellow witch's energy seemed to dampen.
"Yet your friend is my brother's bed fellow."
Bonnie's face widened, "The term is girlfriend these days. They are in a relationship but not married. Caroline's always had a thing for rough around the edges, bad boy types. Now, you said you would explain why Klaus's werewolf gene being activated would help?"
"Werewolves are supernatural creatures and like vampires they were created by magic. Unlike vampire's though they were around longer…and in order to shift forms the way they do werewolves must have a type of magic inside them. It's why its hereditary" Freya explained.
"Yes that is why Esther suggested the mate bond. But there is no way of making it tangible enough to use as an anchor."
Freya shook her head, "I've looked at mother's spell, we can use Klaus's blood to link him to Caroline. Using his blood would also give a foothold to link the spell to the bond between them."
Bonnie bit her lip concentrating on her thoughts, "so what you're saying is that we can use his blood as a way to connect to the bond?"
"His blood would have the same magical properties a practicing witch does. As it's his bond we need, Klaus's blood is necessary" Freya said looking over the books.
Bonnie sighed, "I guess all we need to do is to talk with Klaus."
"You sound like you'd much rather go against a demon," Freya said with amusement, "is my brother really that terrible?"
"Your entire family is a billion times fucked up" Bonnie sighed, "the only positive thing I know about Klaus is his love for Caroline."
Freya nodded frowning, "Klaus has barely spoken to me. I wish to get to know my siblings, to earn their trust before our aunt comes."
"You mean Dahlia is really coming for Caroline's children?" Bonnie gripped the grimoire so tightly in her hands that her knuckles turned pale, Freya had to place a hand on top of hers in hopes of providing some comfort.
"Dahlia is greedy but she sticks to her deal. She would only take the first born but I won't let her. It's why my siblings need to trust me, I need you to trust me."
"Klaus trusts nobody except Caroline, and maybe Elijah and Rebekah to an extent. I know he cares for his family but this is a man who daggers his siblings, as his idea of protection."
Freya nodded, "Caroline seems to be good for him. I only had the chance to see them once before you know? I managed to get away from Dahlia and found them here in New Orleans. They were… more than I could imagine. Rebekah looked almost exactly like our mother it was astounding. Klaus was—"
"Obnoxious?" Bonnie supplied.
Freya laughed, "that word sounds correct."
"He'll come around" Bonnie said, "Mikaelson's are loyal to their own. You are a Mikaelson and in time it will be like you've always been around."
"Why are you so sure of that?" Freya asked Bonnie with a thoughtful look on her face.
"Klaus has always been protective of his family. When Stefan went and stole your siblings and mother from him your brother went on a rampage. You might be a stranger now but you do hold his blood. Caroline also says you are an important part of the Mikaelson family, so give it some time you'll find your place here soon enough."
"I hope your right, Bonnie."

Klaus watched as Caroline bounced up and down on her toes as they stood in baggage claim. He watched with amusement as the blonde continued to fidget. Watching the blonde with excitement on her face, Klaus knew in that moment keeping tabs on Liz Forbes health was the right decision. Not to mention how amused he was, that Caroline didn't realize just how much he had been able to see when she had allowed him inside her head.
It gave him critical information on Caroline's well-being. Hence why he made sure the hospital Elijah had bought conveniently made offers of help towards Mystic Falls clinic. No one needed to know that they were the only clinic to give such a generous offer. He watched content as Caroline once again checked her watch.
"Love, she made the plane. It hasn't even landed yet," He chuckled at the scowl on her face as she finally gave him her attention.
"The schedule says it should land at 1pm! It's 1:15," Caroline whined showing off her neurotic need for control once more.
"Darling not even planes can stick to a schedule like you can," Klaus said lovingly, placing an arm around her waist. Whispering in her ear, "I can hear a plane coming this way, it will only be at most a half hour before she is off the plane."
Klaus hid his amusement at the way Caroline relaxed in his hold, instead he simply tightened his hold around her, and focused on the growing heartbeats he could hear. Nothing appeared out of the ordinary, each heartbeat was strong. Klaus felt his own tension ease knowing that Caroline was currently in no danger with this pregnancy. A small voice inside snarkily added that he was only happy to hear their strong heartbeats because they were his.
"What do they sound like?" Caroline asked quietly as her hand grasped the his on her stomach.
"Four strong heartbeats," Klaus pressed a kiss to her forehead watching as his queen smiled softly rubbing her stomach subconsciously.
"You haven't told your mother yet," Klaus stated knowing it was useless to frame it as a question. Neither he nor his siblings have heard her mention the pregnancy while on the phone with the Sheriff of Mystic Falls.
"I thought it would be better to tell her in person," Caroline defended herself. "I'm not ashamed, Nik. News like this is better to discuss face to face."
"What would you have done if she wasn't coming here?" Klaus chuckled at the dark look the blonde sent his way. "It's a fair question, love."
"I don't know" Caroline sighed, "last time I went through this it wasn't even my biological children! I loved the twins but my mother had already passed away."
Klaus continued to keep his hold on her, lowering his mouth to her ear, " your mother loves you as fiercely as a lioness with her cub. She will be overjoyed at the news, if not wishing bullets actually had an effect on me. You're still so young after all."
Caroline laughed easily picturing the scene that her boyfriend described, "it's a good thing you're the next best thing to indestructible."
"You do however owe me a favor," He teased her nibbling on her neck lovingly.
She raised a brow, "how did I come to owe you this favor?"
"I am willingly going to be sitting through a dinner in which your mother is going to ask how a vampire can get a human girl pregnant" He deadpanned, "with Kol at the table."
Immediately, Caroline blanched as a scene that could come out of her worst nightmares played out in her mind.
Leaning her head back into his chest Caroline murmured, "I guess I do owe you a favor."
Before Klaus could reply he could smell a familiar scent, gently tilting her head to look straight the hybrid pointed out to a figure in the distance. Caroline's eyes widened as her mother appeared looked a little bit haggard but otherwise fine with a small carry on. Liz's face warped into a large smile when she spotted her daughter.
Klaus easily loosened his grip allowing the blonde to run towards the older woman with a cry of, "Mom!"
"Caroline," Liz laughed as she wrapped her arms around her daughter dropping her carry-on bag to do so. Klaus easily strolled up to the two women at a leisurely pace and picking up the carry-on bag from the floor.
The belt started to move making Caroline pull back from her mother pulling the older woman's hand, "let's get the rest of your luggage. How long are you staying? You never said on the phone."
Caroline stopped in front of the belt alongside her mother as they waited patiently to spot the sheriff's luggage.
"I had a lot of vacation and personal leave saved up. I thought I would stay a while, is that okay?" Liz turned towards Klaus knowing that it would be his house she would be staying at.
"You're welcome to stay as long as you like, Ms. Forbes," Klaus winked at the elder woman earning a laugh out of the two women.
"Didn't I tell you to call me Liz?" Liz shook her head as Caroline leaned over to grab a familiar bag. Klaus with his vampire speed and strength was able to grab the bag before Caroline, he smirked at the blonde who pouted.
"I could have gotten it" Caroline frowned.
"I'd rather you didn't strain yourself especially after your last episode" Klaus gave her a knowing look. Liz noted the way Caroline gave the man a sheepish look, not saying anything Liz put the observation away for later. She would find out eventually, the family Caroline has immersed herself with was not one known for holding onto secrets very well.
Finding her last bag Liz grabbed it quickly turning towards the couple, "that's the last of it."
Caroline beamed at her mother before stepping next to her and looping their arms together. Soon Liz was pulled into Caroline's orbit as she discussed almost everything that had happened since she had moved to New Orleans.
"Mom, you should meet Niklaus's son-" Caroline started when Klaus interrupted, "adopted son who does not deserve the title."
Caroline rolled her eyes fake whispering to her mother knowing that he would be able to hear anyway, "he's just throwing a tantrum. His son from when they founded New Orleans stayed in the city and runs the vampires now. He acts just like Nik. I don't know if I should be glad or worried."

Welcome to Denver
"Finally fucking here," Enzo muttered to himself as he eyed his gas usage, it was on low again. Meaning he would need to stop the car for gas and food before hunting down the Salvatore's and Elena, possibly before Tyler manages to convince her into coming back to Mystic Falls where a bunch of cursed witches will do God's knows what to her.
That would make Bonnie and Caroline very angry. Enzo was very fond of those two in particular. Caroline because it was under her initiative that freed him from his prison. Enzo was fond of Bonnie because he could tell just how much he got under her skin. It also didn't hurt that neither were a huge fan of Damon Salvatore.
Oh Damon.
Enzo smirked, the two went through hell together for a little while. Then the bastard left him in a fucking fire, knowing Enzo had not fed in order to give Damon a chance of getting the two of them out and away from their captors. The bastard had left him there, sure Enzo had saw the warring emotions in his eyes. But in the end Damon had chosen to save himself, something that according to the residents of Mystic Falls had not changed.
Going after his own brother's girlfriend, kissing her while his brother was hanging out with a man Enzo knew to be Klaus. A man the group had feared at the time, still do for the most part. The lone exception was Caroline, even Enzo was wary of the original hybrid. One didn't survive as long as the Mikaelson's had purely on luck. Reaching for his phone, he pulled it out from the car charger as the car pulled into a gas station a few miles from where he had entered the state, Enzo decided that his favorite witch deserved a call.
She picked up on the first ring, his name on her lips was like the sweetest blood his lips as ever tasted only in his mind she didn't sound nearly as annoyed as his reality.
"BonBon! Elena wouldn't have happened to send you an address would she?"
"Why do you assume Elena gave me an address?"
"You're not her childhood friend who is fucking the vampire-werewolf hybrid who is on a manhunt for her?" Enzo answered without pause.
"Enzo," Bonnie hissed, "not funny."
"That's because it's your turn to bang a man far too old for you," Enzo teased. "Luckily for you I've always had a taste for beautiful scary witches."
"Sooo not interested," Bonnie shook her head. "Sorry Enzo, but I really don't have their address. I've barely managed to get a city and a couple of emails."
A lightbulb went off in Enzo's head, "Are you a witch or aren't you? Just do a location spell using the emails or something you have of hers. Surely you must have something, you lot have been friends for years."
"Enzo" Bonnie said his name warily, "just what are you going to do?"
"Well I thought keeping your friend, who sounds like a very crappy friend by the way, away from a bunch of cursed witches didn't need to be said."
"You won't hurt her will you?"
"Bonbon, both you and Caroline want her as far away from supernatural drama as possible don't you?"
"It's what she's wanted for a very long time, to just be normal" Bonnie said softly.
"Then I will do what it takes to avoid dragging her back in."
"I think I still have an old necklace of her's around here somewhere give me a few minutes. I'll call you back when I have something."
