LAST CHAPTER
DEDICATED TO ALL OF MY READERS :)
I OFFER THIS CHAPTER AS AN APOLOGY...
"Hi Everyone!"
Akasuki beamed at the camera, waving at the readers cheerily, "It's me, Aka-chan here! Saying our goodbyes!"
She pouted, placing her arms at her waist, "Unfair, isn't it?", she crossed her arms, still pouting, "I didn't even get to see the end of it! So uncool!"
"Although-", she perks up, letting out a grin, "-This isn't the end for me, you know! I'll be having my debut for my rewritten version, dattebayo!"
Katsuki cut in with gritted teeth, "What are you doing, ginger?", Izuku and he are watching on the sidelines, "Just do the thing already and STOP STALLING!"
"Dattebayo?", Nejire tilted her head, confused at the term, "I wonder what it meant?"
"J-Just think of them like potatoes, Aka-chan", Tamaki muttered at the farthest right, head low while facing the wall emitting a dark aura.
"D-Don't be scared of their eyes... looking at you as if...-!"
"Just keep on smiling!", Mirio beamed, standing where Nejire was previously, who went to Izuku asking what 'dattebayo' means.
Mirio gave a big thumbs up, "Remember to THANK THEM FOR EVERYTHING!"
Akasuki grinned, giving Mirio a thumbs up discreetly much to the boy's amusement, "Well then, here I go~"
She pulled both Katsuki and Izuku from the sidelines, startling them, and positioned the three of them in front of the camera- pulling them both close to her person.
She winked at the camera and gave a peace sign, "Thank you for reading, and hope you enjoy the rest of the chapter~"
"A-Aka-neesan, K-Kacchan is about to-!"
"STOP HUGGING ME YOU DAMN GINGER!"
I made some spoilers but Akasuki is supposed to die at Shie Hassaikai Arc, pushing Sir Nighteye out of the way, and ended up taking the blow that is meant for him.
Sadly, Sir Nighteye didn't exactly go scotch-free and ended up badly injured but he survived, unlike our red-haired protagonist.
This scene is something I already wrote, imagining how it goes for her final moments.
*In her final moments, she asked to see Bakugo and Izuku. Currently, the room contains Akasuki- who is laying down at the hospital bed in her death bed-, Katsuki, Izuku, All Might, and Aizawa. Sir Nighteye is still unconscious*
"Did... Did I ever told you about.. a little girl?"
Katsuki and Izuku shared a look before looking back at their sister.
"No", Izuku answered quietly, while Katsuki decided to remain quiet. Akasuki let out a small smile, weakly reaching a hand out to Katsuki which he met halfway.
She rubs her thumb gently on his hand, "There was this... little girl who died in my arms", she said softly, her eyes glossing as she reminisces her last moments.
Everyone, except Akasuki, stiffened at the statement, wondering when this happens.
"There was a robbery... and I jumped in the way to save her from the gunshots", she continued, ignorant of the tense atmosphere in the room.
"But the thing is... she wasn't the only one who died that day"
She looked up at the two boys, giving them a strained smile, "I died too"
Both boys stared at her, eyes widen in shock at the confession, making Akasuki chuckle faintly, "I know it's unbelievable", she whispered, "but it's something I cannot forget until this day"
She began to tear up, "Today... I feel like I finally saved that little girl", she chokes out, "I feel so... happy and I don't know why", she laughs weakly.
"I'm gonna die as a hero"
"OI!", Katsuki cuts in loudly, grabbing her occupied hand tightly, his bangs covering his bangs, "You... You're not dying on us, you shitty ginger"
He raised his head, his glossy eyes meeting his sister's, "YOU'RE NOT ALLOWED TO DIE!"
Akasuki smiles faintly, her free hand reaching out to caress Katsuki's cheek, "But my time's running, Katsukun", her eyes shining briefly before returning to normal.
"I'm never wrong... you know?"
She turns to gaze at Izuku, who she just noticed is crying, "Izukun", she called out catching his attention.
"There's a notebook at... my room in the agency-", she started, "-I wrote down everything I could remember about One For All-", Izuku and All Might's eyes widened in unison.
"- and about All for One"
She let out a grin, feeling a sense of amusement at her little brother's reaction, "I... died feeling guilty...", she continued, a wave of weariness rush through her, "and the last thing I saw was a flash of yellow"
'I AM-!", Mirio yelled with such conviction, his eyes burning with determination, "-STILL LEMILLION!"
Akasuki let out a chuckle, "Who knew", she whispered, turning her gaze up to the ceiling, "That life would be so dramatic"
"Stop", Katsuki uttered with gritted teeth, "Stop this shitty nonsense-!"
"-Katsukun", She cut him off, looking back at him while squeezing her occupied hand as much as she could, "I saw... how much you changed and-"
Her breath hitched as she began to tear up, "- all I could really say... I'm proud of you", she turns her gaze to Izuku, "I saw... how much of a great hero the two of you will be!", she chokes out.
She sniffled as a couple of tears fall from her eyes, "I-It's a shame", she gave them a strained smile, "That I don't get to see that day"
"STOP TALKING AND YOU WILL!", Katsuki screamed, ignoring the few tears escaping without his permission, "SAVE YOUR STRENGHT DAMNIT! I TOLD YOU-!"
"KACCHAN!"
The room silenced at Izuku's outburst, his fists clenched tightly as his lips quiver. He glances at Akasuki, who met his gaze and gave her a strained smile.
"Everything... Everything w-will be okay, Aka-neesan", he stammered, reaching out to grab her other hand and shakily hold it tight, "Everything will be okay", he chanted.
He widens his smile, trying to make it as real as possible, "We... We will be okay", he continues, sniffling lightly, "I-I promise, so-"
Izuku ended with a closed-eye smile, "Don't worry about us anymore! K-Kacchan and I will definitely be on the top!"
"I know", Akasuki replied softly, her eyes fluttering closed as she said her final words,
"My heroes"
Epilogue [Last Part of it]
"Akasuki Genji"
Akasuki opened her eyes slowly, feeling a bit dazed as she glances around at the room she's currently in.
She's currently sitting in some metal chair in a middle of an... office?
"It is an office", the woman in front of her answered catching her attention. The woman smiled, "Hello, Akasuki Genji, and welcome to the Office of Soul Service"
Akasuki blinked, tilting her head slightly, "I'm dead", she stated, to which the woman nodded, "That is correct", she answered.
"You may simply call me 'Miss Lady' and it is my job to guide you on which path to take in your afterlife or well-", she corrected, "-in your second one that is"
"My second one", the red-haired repeated, feeling numb as the recent memories surface, "May I... know what happened to them?", she asked.
"To the ones I left behind?"
"Your parents are certainly distraught", Miss Lady answered making Akasuki wince, "But do not worry",
The woman's expression softened, "They took in Eri under their protection, as you requested. While they will continue to grieve for you, they will continue to be pillars for Eri and your little brothers"
"As for them", she paused for a moment before continuing, "They still became the heroes they were meant to be, which is the same for the others"
"That's... good", Akasuki muttered, glancing down as she clasps her hands together, a sense of relief flow through her, "It's good that I didn't change their fate"
"Oh but you did", Miss Lady argued making Akasuki glance back at her, "The death of Mirai Sasaki, hero name: Nighteye, was avoided because of you which cause some 'butterfly effect' on some major events"
She opened the closed folder on her desk, which Akasuki squinted at wondering if there was one before.
"Let's see... That notebook of yours revealed some information earlier that cause a huge ripple on the timeline"
Akasuki stiffened as the woman glared at her, sweating bullets at how scary the woman looks like and how eerie similar it is to a certain porcupine.
Miss Lady let out a sigh, "I know you mean well, Miss Genji, but I wish you consider the impact it will cause to the story"
"I'm sorry", Akasuki squeaked out making the woman raised an eyebrow at her, "Right", she said dryly while flipping to the next page.
"It seems you have forgotten about our previous encounter-", "-our previous-?", "-But I shall cut this meeting short and say you'll be going to heaven"
"Heaven", Akasuki repeated, her mouth twitching, "How... relieving"
"While this... disturbance that you caused should have affected your points-", "-points?-", "-but we made note of what happened in your previous life. Therefore, you passed the requirements needed in order to go to heaven"
"I-I see", the red-haired replied, scratching her cheek absentmindedly, 'All I understood was I'm going to heaven'
"Moving on!", the woman continued, closing the folder quietly before pushing the red magic button, who appeared out of nowhere.
BAM!
Huge letters appeared before the red-haired hero, startling her.
"Congratulations! You are going to heaven, Akasuki Genji!", Miss Lady beamed brightly, clapping her hands in delight, "Have a safe journey!"
Akasuki blinked, "Uh... safe journey for WHAAAAAAAAAAAA-!"
Miss Lady ignored the scream of the hero as she was pushed upwards by an unknown force, focusing on arranging her desk as she pulled out the folder for her next client.
"Alright... here it is, Miss Mary Natasha Cortez... oh dear"
Once again, thank you for being with me for the past year and I hope you'll find the completely different version in your liking as well!
Btw, if you're wondering this is somewhat a part of the prologue on my other book- to which I deleted too hehe.
I WILL DELETE THIS STORY ON MAY 18, WHERE THE NEW ONE WILL REPLACE IT.
