We quickly ran into the house where Jeff and his grandmother lived, and without a second breath or thought, we ran upstairs to Jeff's bedroom. Upon opening the door we saw Jeff lying on his bed with his computer on his lap. He looked up at us in shock, and maybe even a little embarrassed?
"Hello, laptop, give me", the Doctor ordered as he walked over to the side of Jeff's bed and Jeff was quick on trying to close or hide whatever was on screen.
"No, no, no, wait", Jeff exclaimed as his cheeks turned a bright crimson as he glanced between the Doctor and myself.
"It's fine", the Doctor told him as he tried pulling the laptop out of Jef's grasp, "Hang on", Jeff yelled desperately as his blush deepened.
"Just do what the Doctor says. I'm sure it's not that bad", I told Jeff and the Doctor gave him a look, before he reluctantly let go of it.
I narrowed my brows at him as the Doctor sat at the end of Jeff's bed, "Something you don't want us to see", I asked Jeff lifting a brow at him as I sat next to the Doctor. Then I looked at the screen as the Doctor lifted it up noticing the word Myth at the bottom, with the greek trident letter replacing the Y, and my brows raised in surprise.
"Oh", I said, understanding what the fuss was all about, "Blimey! Get a girlfriend Jeff", the Doctor told him.
"I'm not judging", I said and the Doctor gave me a look, "What", I asked him, he just shook his head as Jeff's grandmother walked in.
"Gran", Jeff exclaimed, "What are you doing", she asked us.
"The sun's gone wibbly, so right now, somewhere, out there there's going to be a big video conference call", the Doctor told her as he began searching through the computer.
"All experts in the world panicking at once, and do you know what they need? Us. Ah, and here they all are. All the big boys. NASA, Jodrell Bank, Tokyo Space Centre, Patrick Moore", the Doctor said.
"Oh! I like Patrick Moore", Jeff's grandmother exclaimed, "I'll get you his number, but what him, he's a devil", the Doctor told her.
"I gather you've met him before", I asked the Doctor, "Yes, that's how I know", he told me.
"You can't just hack in on a call like that", Jeff told the Doctor, "Can't I", the Doctor asked him as he continued his hacking. Suddenly, all six names that the Doctor had mentioned, showed up on screen with video of said persons.
"Who are you? This is a secure call. What are you doing", a man asked on screen as the Doctor flashed his psychic paper at the camera built into the laptop.
"Hello, I know you should switch me off. But, before you do, watch this", the Doctor said as he began typing again.
"It's here too. I'm getting it as well", another person said on screen, "Just calm down and give him a minute", I told them, "What are you going to show them Doctor?" "Who is that", "Sounded like a girl", I heard the people on screen say and I sighed at that.
"Fermat's Theorem, the proof, and I mean the real one, never seen before. Poor old Fermat, got killed in a duel before he could write it down", the Doctor told me.
"What happened", I asked him, "Well, it was my fault. I slept in", the Doctor told me and I raised my brows at that.
"Oh, and here's an oldie but a goodie. Why electrons have mass. And a personal favorite of mine, faster than light travel with two diagrams and a joke", the Doctor said.
"Show off", I commented, shaking my head, but smiling, "Always", he told me before continuing where he left off.
"Look at the sun. You need all the help you can get. Fellas. Pay attention, because in about fourteen minutes the world is going to be destroyed by an alien warden looking for a lost prisoner going by the name of Prisoner Zero", the Doctor told them.
"That's what the broadcasts are all about", I added, "What do you plan to do", one of them asked, "We plan to stop it", the Doctor told them as he pulled Rory's phone out of his pocket and began typing on it.
Sir, what are you doing", one of the men on screen asked, "I am writing a computer virus. Very clever, super-fast, and a tiny bit alive, but don't let on", the Doctor told them.
"Yeah, but why are you writing it on a phone", I asked him, "Why am I writing it on a phone? Um, nevermind, you'll find out", the Doctor told me and then smiled.
"Okay. I'm sending this to all your computers. Get everyone who works for you sending this everywhere. Email, text, facebook, Bebo, Twitter, radar dish- whatever you've got. Any questions", the Doctor asked them.
"Who are your lady friends", Patrick asked, "Patrick, behave! And you can't have this one", the Doctor said pointing a thumb at me and Patrick just shrugged.
"What does this virus do", another asked, "It's a reset command, that's all. It resets counters on the wifi, it gets in the wifi and resets every counter it can find", "And they'll all default to zero", I finished the Doctor's sentence.
"Exactly", he told me, "Why should we trust you?" "You could be lying." Two people asked on screen.
I glanced at the Doctor, "Yeah, I could be lying. Why should you trust me? I'll let my best man explain", the Doctor told them gesturing to his other side where Jeff was sitting.
Jeff went silent and the Doctor glanced at him, "Jeff your my best man", he whispered to him.
"You what", Jeff whispered confused, before the Doctor closed it partially, "Listen to me. In ten minutes, you're going to be a legend. In ten minutes, everyone is going to be offering you any job you want. But first you have to be magnificent", the Doctor told him.
"But what if they don't trust me", Jeff asked him, "You have to make them trust you and get them working", I told him.
"This is it, Jeff. Right here, right now. This is when you fly. Today is the day you save the world", the Doctor told him and Jeff just looked overwhelmed.
"Why me", Jeff asked the Doctor, "It's your bedroom", the Doctor simply told him, "Just try not to seem TOO overwhelmed", I told Jeff and he just nodded.
"Now go, go, go", the Doctor ordered as he grabbed my hand and pulled me out of Jeff's bedroom, before he ran back to tell him to clean his internet history.
The Doctor came running back and I followed him out the door before calling out, "Good luck", to Jeff and we paused at the archway of the gate.
"I hope Jeff's up to it", I commented, "Yeah, me too. Come on", he told me looking for a vehicle, before spotting the firetruck and then slowly turned to smile at me.
"Oh no", I commented, "Oh yes. Come on", the Doctor said and we ran to the firetruck. It was a good thing the keys were still in the engine otherwise we would have never got it going.
As we made our way down the road to the hospital, there was a bit of tension between us and I started to feel bad before I spoke up. Little did I know the Doctor felt the same way.
"Doctor", "Acacia", we said at the same time and we laughed at that, "I wanted to apologize. I was being a hypocrite", the Doctor told me.
"You've kissed people before", I asked him, "Yes. Plenty of times", the Doctor told me and I nodded.
"How old are you Doctor", I asked, staring straight ahead out the window and I noticed that he gave me a look, "Over nine-hundred", he told me.
I chuckled at that and sighed, "I figured. I knew you would have had a life, your relationships don't bother me Doctor. What upset me is that it bothered you", he was silent as I looked at him.
"Time travel is complicated", I commented, "Yeah", the Doctor replied, we both sighed and chuckled at that.
I looked away, "I wanted to apologize as well. I tried to push you for information, even though I knew you couldn't tell me. I'm sorry", I told him and then glanced over at him, he smiled at that before the cell phone rang.
He answered it and I gave him a look, "Amy! What's the matter", the Doctor asked, "What did she say", I asked him.
"They can't get through", he told me, "Well, one is wearing a police uniform and the other a nurse's outfit. They can't just walk in", I asked him.
The Doctor nodded, "You're both wearing uniforms. Look in the mirror", he told Amy, "Don't worry, we've commondered a vehicle", the Doctor told her as I shook my head.
"More like stole", I commented amused and the Doctor shushed me, I responded by lifting a brow at him. The Doctor then hung up the phone, pressed the siren, and sped down the road as I held onto the door for dear life.
"Doctor? Was it REALLY necessary to steal a firetruck", I asked him, "Yes! It'll help us get there faster and the siren will get the drivers out of the way. And we're not stealing it! We're borrowing it", the Doctor told me; I shook my head, sighed, and then chuckled.
Then the phone rang again and the Doctor answered it, only this time I took it away from him, "Give me that", I told him, "Oi", he exclaimed.
"Keep your eyes on the road", I told him and pressed the phone to my ear, "This is Voyager, the Doctor's busy driving", I told Amy.
"Oh! Well, I was going to say we got in", Amy told me, "They got in", I told the Doctor, "Yes, but so is Prisoner Zero", Amy told me.
"Prisoner Zero is there", I questioned, "You need to get out of there", the Doctor exclaimed.
"What did the Doctor say", Amy asked me, "Amy listen to me. You need to get out of there, it's not safe", I told her.
Then I heard someone talking in the background, but I couldn't make out what they were saying, "Amy? Amy, what's happening", I asked worried and the Doctor gave me a concerned look.
"Amy! Say something", I said worried, "We're in the coma ward, but it's here. It's getting in", she told me.
"They're in the coma ward, but Prisoner Zero is getting in", I told the Doctor, "Ask her which window are they", the Doctor told me.
"Um. The Doctor asked which window are you", I questioned, "What, sorry", Amy asked me.
"Which window", I repeated, "Fourth floor on the left, fourth from the end", Amy told me and I repeated what she told me to the Doctor who immediately got the ladder ready to burst into the window where Amy was.
"Tell her duck", the Doctor told me, "DUCK", I told her as he put the firetruck in position, turned on the siren, and slammed onto the gas pedal.
The ladder had bursted through the window, we quickly got out and made our way on top of the firetruck, then climbed the ladder that led into the coma ward. The Doctor hopped into the room first, before helping me.
He patted both Amy and Rory on the shoulders, "Right! Hello! Are we late", the Doctor asked them. I turned my head to see that there was a woman holding the hand of two girls at the exit of the coma ward, but something was off about them.
"No, I think we might be just on time", I told the Doctor, "And we still have three minutes to go. That's enough time", the Doctor added.
"Time for what, Time Lords", Prisoner Zero asked us, the Doctor and I stepped forward, putting ourselves in front of Amy and Rory.
"Take the disguise off. They'll find you in a heartbeat. Nobody dies", the Doctor told Prisoner Zero, "The Atroxi will kill me this time. If I am to die, let there be fire", they told us.
"I bet you're fun at parties", I said sarcastically, "I'm a laugh", Prisoner Zero told me seriously.
"Okay. You came to this world by opening a crack in space and time. Do it again- just leave", the Doctor told them, "I did not open the crack", Prisoner Zero told the Doctor.
"Somebody must've", I questioned, "Yes. Somebody did", the Doctor stated looking directly at Prisoner Zero.
"The crack in the skin of the universe- don't either of you know where they came from", they asked us, the Doctor and I glanced at each other questioningly.
Prisoner Zero just smiled mockingly, "You don't do you? The Doctor and Voyager in the Tardis doesn't know! Doesn't know! Doesn't know", the woman, part of Prisoner Zero's disguise, said mockingly in a young girl's voice.
"Yeah, that's not creepy at all", I commented, "The universe is cracked. The Panorica will open. Silence will fall", Prisoner Zero told the Doctor, before all three heads turned towards me and smiled mockingly.
This made me very uncomfortable as the Doctor narrowed his eyes at Prisoner Zero and then the clock above the door struck at zero.
"And we're off! Look at that. Look at that", the Doctor exclaimed pointing at the clock. I lifted a brow at him, "Doctor it's just a clock", I told him.
"Yeah, I know it's just a clock, whatever. But do you know what's happening right now? In one little bedroom our team are working. Jeff and the world, and do you know what they're doing? They're spreading the word al, over the world. Quantum fast. The word is out and do you know what the word is? The word is zero", the Doctor told Prisoner Zero, who looked furious.
"Now, me, if I was up in the sky in a battleship, monitoring all Earth communications; I'd take that as a hint. And if I had a whole battle fleet surrounding the planet. I'd be able to track a simple old computer virus to its source. In, what, under a minute", the Doctor told them.
I pulled out Rory's cell phone, "The source by the way", I told them, then tossed it to the Doctor who caught it, and then showed Prisoner Zero the cellphone.
"The source is right here", he told them, then a blinding light shined through the hospital's windows. "Oh! And I think they just found us", the Doctor exclaimed as Amy and Rory ran over to the windows to see what was happening outside.
"The Atroxi are limited. While I'm in this form, they'll still be unable to detect me. They've tracked a phone, not me", Prisoner Zero told the Doctor and I.
"Yeah, but this is the good bit. I mean, this is my favorite bit. Do you know what this phone is full of", the Doctor asked them.
" .You", I told them, "Yeas and every form you've learned to take, right here", the Doctor added.
"Don't forget to upload it", I whispered, reminding the Doctor, "Oh, and being uploaded about now", the Doctor told Prisoner Zero as he sent the pictures of Prisoner Zero's disguises to the Atroxi.
"And the final score is no Tardis, no screwdriver, and two minutes to spend. Who da man", the Doctor shouted the last part and the room went silent as I tried to hold back from laughing.
"Oh. I'm never saying that again", the Doctor said and I couldn't help, but let out a light chuckle, which the Doctor heard. "Alright fine", the Doctor told me childishly.
"I shall take a new form then", Prisoner Zero told us, "Oh stop it, you know you can't", the Doctor told them, "Takes months to form that kind of link.
"And I've had years", they said, my eyes widened in realization, I quickly turned around just as Amy fainted, and the Doctor and I were quick to run to her side.
"No", "Amy", the Doctor and I exclaimed, the Doctor patted her cheek, "Don't sleep! You've got to stay awake", he told her.
"Amy don't do this! You gotta stay awake", I told her as I lightly shook her, "Doctor, Voyager", Rory said, grabbing our attention; we followed his line of sight and saw a copy of the Doctor and I standing where the woman and the two girls once stood.
There appeared to be somebody behind them, I noticed as the the Doctor and I stood, "Well, that's rubbish who's that man supposed to be", the Doctor asked.
"Doctor, that's you", I told him, "Me? Is that what I look like", he asked me, "You don't know", Rory questioned.
"Busy day. Why us though", the Doctor asked looking at me before we slowly moved to stand right in front of Prisoner Zero.
"You're linked with her", the Doctor told them as he gestured back towards Amy, "Why are you copying us", he asked them.
"I'm not", we heard a voice of a young girl say, before our copies moved aside to reveal a young Amelia Pond holding their hands.
"Poor Amelia Pond, still such a child inside. Dreaming of the magic Doctor and Voyager, she knows will return to save her. What a disappointment you've been", Prisoner Zero disguised as Amelia Pond told us.
"No, she's dreaming about us cus she can hear us", the Doctor said, before grabbing my hand to rush back over to Amy's side.
"Doctor are you sure", I asked him, "Yes", he told me and I could feel he wanted to believe that as I looked at Amy worried.
"Hey", the Doctor said as he touched my cheek reassuringly and I looked up at him, "Trust me", he told me, I sighed, smiled, and nodded. He smiled back and removed his hand, I brushed back Amy's hair out of her face.
"Amy don't just hear us, listen. Remember the room, the room in the house you couldn;t see? Remember you went inside."
"We tried to stop you, but you went in", I added, "You opened the door and walked inside of the room. You saw something. Amy, dream about what you saw", the Doctor told her.
"No, no, no", we heard young Amelia Pond/ Prisoner Zero exclaim before they transformed into their original selves. The Doctor and I stood and then walked towards Prisoner Zero.
"Well done Prisoner Zero", the Doctor told the giant eel that had razor sharp teeth, "A perfect impersonation of yourself." Then Prisoner Zero began to wriggle around in anguish, before the bright light shined through the windows again.
"Prisoner Zero located", the booming voice of the Atroxi said, "Prisoner Zero is restrained." Then Prisoner Zero disappeared , under the arrest of the Atroxi but befoer they did they had one last thing to say, "Silence, Doctor and Voyager, Silence will fall", and then they were gone.
The Doctor and I were quick to run over to the window to see if the ship had gone as well, thankfully it had, and I sighed in relief.
Rory took out his phone to look at it and asked, "The sun's back to normal, right? That's good, yeah? That means it's over."
I sighed and looked at the Doctor, then looked back over to Rory, "Not quite", I told him and he gave me a confused look, before the Doctor patted his head.
Amy slowly walked over to us looking a bit groggy herself, "Amy? Are you okay? Are you with us", Rory asked as he approached her.
"What happened", she asked him, "They did it. The Doctor and Voyager did it", Rory told her.
"No, we didn't", the Doctor told him, before grabbing Rory's phone, "What are you doing", Rory asked him.
"Tracking the signal back", the Doctor told him as I walked away from the window, "Sorry in advance." "About what", Rory asked him, "The bill", I replied.
"Oi", the Doctor exclaimed into the phone, "I didn't say you could go! Article fifty-seven of the Shadow Proclamation. This is a level five planet, and you were going to burn it? What? Did you think no one was watching? You lot, back here. Now", the Doctor said before hanging it up and tossing it back to Rory.
"Okay. Now, I've done it", the Doctor said as he walked off, the rest of us walked after him as Rory asked, "Um...did he just bring them back?"
"Where are you going", Amy asked, "The roof", the Doctor replied, "Now hang on", the Doctor said then grabbed my hand and pulled me into the dressing room which caught me by surprise
"Oh", I said as I had a look around, "What's in here", Amy asked.
"We're saving the world- I need a decent shirt. To hell with the raggedy", the Doctor said as he grabbed some clothing.
"And I refuse to wear this leather outfit longer than I have to", I called out from inside of the shower area, where no one could see me as I changed into a short sleeved blouse, black pants, orange shoes, and an orange necklace. A bit of color to spice it up, funny, I don't remember ever liking orange before, I thought. Then I spotted a black hat, smiled, grabbed it, and placed it on my head.
Then I walked out as the Doctor said, "Anyway. It is time to put on a show", the Doctor said as he began changing my face turned red and I turned around.
"You just summoned aliens back to Earth. Actual aliens, deadly aliens, aliens of death-", "Okay, I think we get Rory", I told him.
"And now you're taking your clothes off", Rory said embarrassed, "Turn you back if it embarrasses you", the Doctor told him.
"Are you two stealing now",Rory asked us now, noticing I had different clothes on and I shrugged, "What? We've done this before...as well as steal a vehicle", I told him.
"Borrowed", the Doctor loudly corrected and Rory just shook his head exasperated.
"These clothes that you're wearing and that he's grabbing, belong to people you know", he told me and I simply raised my eyebrows at him.
Rory turned around completely flustered, "Are you not going to turn around", he asked Amy.
"Nope. If you don't mind", Amy asked me and I lifted a brow at her, "No, I don't mind. Look away", I said.
As soon as the Doctor was dressed we quickly made our way to the roof, the Doctor had a handful of ties around his neck I noticed.
"Couldn't choose", I asked him, gesturing to the ties, "No", he told me as we all looked up at the giant eyeball in the sky.
"So this was your plan was it? They were leaving", Amy told him, "Leaving is good. Never coming back is better", the Doctor told her.
"What do you plan to do", I asked him, "Send them a message", he told me, "COME ON THEN", the Doctor yelled to the eye.
"The Doctor will see you now", he exclaimed and the giant eye came down to examine him, then it shined a light and examined him.
"You are not of this world", the booming voice of the Atroxi told him, "No, but we've put a lot of work into it", the Doctor commented, before the eye looked at me. Before it could scan me, the Doctor stepped forward blocking it's view.
"Ah- ah focus on me", he told the Atroxi and then examined the ties that were around his neck.
"Hm. I don't know. What do you think", he asked me and I raised my brows at him, "Um. Just choose one that feels the most like you", I told the Doctor and he sighed at that. He continued to examine his ties and then threw one of them away at Rory.
"Is this world important", the Atroxi asked, "Important? What do you mean, important? Six billion live here- is that important. Here's a better question: is this world a threat to the Atroxi", the Doctor asked them as he threw another tie at Amy.
"Well, come on. You're monitoring the whole planet. Is this world a threat", the Doctor asked the Atoxi again, demanding an answer and in reply they showed us a hologram of Earth's history.
"No", the Atroxi replied, "Are the peoples of this world guilty of any crime by laws of the Atroxi", the Doctor asked them and once again it showed images of Earth's history.
"No", the Atroxi replied, "Okay. One more. Just one. Is this world protected", the Doctor asked them. The hologram the Atroxi showed were different from before, this time it showed outside threats and enemies that had attacked Earth throughout the years. Including the daleks, the cybermen, and...those I haven't seen yet.
"Because you're not the first lot to come here. Oh there have been so many and what you've got to ask is…", the Doctor said as he tied a bow tie around his neck.
"What happened to them", the Doctor asked the Atroxi smugly, then they showed images of the Doctor's past regenerations and the future of mine.
The Doctor held out his hand for me to grab and I held it as we stepped forward through the hologram, "Hello, I'm the Doctor", said the Doctor, "And I'm Voyager", I stated my name.
The Doctor and I looked at each other and then the Atroxi, "Basically", "Run", the Doctor and I told them, before the eye retracted and immediately retreated into the sky and out of Earth's atmosphere.
Then the Doctor and I heard the Tardis's engine, before our keys started burning us. We both pulled them out to see that they were glowing, we smiled as the Doctor grabbed my hand, we immediately ran through, and then out of the hospital; our excitement overwhelming us as we headed back to the Tardis.
We ran all the way back to Amy's house and stopped right in front of the Tardis, "Okay. what have you got for us this time", the Doctor said excitedly out of breath. He took one look at me, smiled, unlocked the door, opened it, and we walked in.
"Look at you! Oh, you sexy thing", the Doctor said and I gave him a narrowed browed look. The Doctor looked back at me returning the same look, "What", he asked me, "You don't think so?"
No, I...she's beautiful", I told him and smiled as we walked to the console, "Doctor? What about Amy?"
"We'll be right back. To the moon and back gotta test run the Tardis first to see if everything's running properly. Gotta run her in", the Doctor told me.
"Like a car", I asked him, "Exactly and we'll be back before tea time", he told me and I lifted a brow at him as we traveled to the moon and back.
"I don't want you to go", I heard the Doctor say quietly, "Hm", I asked, "Nothing", he said quickly, "We've landed", and then he was quick to go over to the Tardis's doors.
"Doctor", I asked and quickly ran after him as we both went outside just in time to see Amy running towards the Tardis in her nightgown as it was night out.
"Sorry about running off earlier", the Doctor told her, "Brand new Tardis- bit exciting." "We just went to the moon and back", I added.
"Just to run her in. She's ready for the big stuff now", the Doctor told her, "It's you. Both of you. You came back", Amy said in shock.
"Course we came back. We always come back. Something wrong with that", the Doctor asked her.
"And you kept your clothes", Amy told us, not listening. I looked at Amy confused, something wasn't right.
"Well, we just saved the world, the whole planet, for about the millionth time, no charge. Yeah, shoot me! I kept the clothes", the Doctor told her a little annoyed.
"Including the bowtie", Amy said, "Yeah, it's cool. Bow ties are cool", the Doctor told her straightening his bow tie.
"And the hat", Amy said gesturing to me and I pouted, "There's nothing wrong with my hat", I said, fixing it.
"If it makes you feel better", Amy joked and I narrowed my eyes at her playfully, "Are you two from another", she suddenly asked us.
"Yeah", the Doctor told her, "Technically I am", I said. "Yeah, so what do you think", the Doctor asked Amy, "Of what", she asked.
"Other planets? Would you like to see them with us", I asked her, "What does that mean", Amy asked me.
"It means, well…" the Doctor trailed off, "Dome with us", I finished, "Where", she asked.
"Wherever you like", the Doctor told her, "All that stuff that happened, the hospital, the spaceships, Prisoner Zero-", "Oh, don't worry that's just the beginning. There's loads more", the Doctor said cutting her off.
Then that look appeared in her eyes again, the same look she had when she told us we've been gone for twelve years. Uh oh, I thought as realization dawned on me and the Doctor looked at me.
He seemed confused as I had cut off my thoughts from him, "Those things, those amazing things, all that stuff…", Amy trailed off and then walked right up to the Doctor and I.
"That was two years ago", she declared, "Oh, oops", the Doctor said, "Yikes", I added rubbing my forehead.
"Yeah", Amy told us, "So that's-", "Fourteen years", Amy stated, cutting the Doctor off. "Fourteen years since fish custard", the Doctor said, "Amy Pond, the girl who waited."
"Well, I think she's waited long enough. Don't you", I asked the Doctor, "Yes, she has", the Doctor replied.
Amy just sighed and said, "When I was a kid, you said there was a swimming pool and a library. And the swimming pool was IN the library", Amy told us.
"Yeah", the Doctor told her, "It was a hell of a job to get out of", I added and she chuckled at that, "Not sure where it's got to now. It'll turn up. So...coming", the Doctor asked her again.
"No", Amy replied, "You wanted to come fourteen yeas ago", he reminded her, "I grew up", she told him, "Don't worry. We'll soon fix that", the Doctor said as he leaned against the Tardis, snapped his fingers, and then the doors opened.
I raised my brows looking from the Tardis and then to the Doctor, he just shrugged as we all walked in, the Tardis doors closing behind us. The Doctor and I walked to the console as Amy looked around in awe.
The Doctor walked up to her, "Well? Anything you want to say? Any passing remarks? I've heard them all", the Doctor told her, before walking back, I smiled, and shook my head at him.
"You're like something that stepped out of a storybook to her", I whispered to the Doctor, "That's not a bad thing is it? And besides your part of this story too", he told me.
"I'm in my nightie", Amy said in horror and I couldn't help but chuckle at that, "Oh, don't worry. Plenty of clothes in the wardrobe", the Doctor told her.
"Wait, there is", I exclaimed, "Mhm", he told me, I scoffed, and gestured to my outfit with raised brows. The Doctor just nodded, smiling.
"Ah...AND possibly a swimming pool", he told her, "So...all of time and space, everything that ever happened or ever will. Where do you want to start", the Doctor asked her.
"You are so sure I'm coming", Amy said with narrowed brows, "Aren't you", I teased, "Yeah, aren't you", the Doctor said joining the fun.
"Why", she asked us, "Cus you're the Scottish girl in the English village and I know how that feels", he told her.
"Oh, do you", she asked him and then she turned towards me, "Do you feel the same?"
I was a bit taken aback when she asked me, but I answered, "There was a time where I felt...different. Like I didn't really fit in. Anywhere", I told her and she looked at me sympathetically, before I shook away the feeling.
"When was this", she asked me, " A long time ago, but that's neither here nor there", I said waving the matter away. "What's important is that I've finally found somewhere I feel I belong", I told her and I felt the Doctor glance at me before looking away.
"So, all these years living here, most of your life-", I said before the Doctor added, "And you still got that accent. Yeah, your coming", the Doctor and I said in an effort to change the subject.
Then he rang a bell, "Can you get me back for tomorrow morning", Amy asked us, "It's a time machine. We can get you back five minutes ago", the Doctor told her.
"Why? What's tomorrow", I asked Amy curiously, "Nothing. Nothing. Just you know….stuff", she told me, "Uh huh", I said lifting a brow at her.
"All right then, abc in time for "stuff"", the Doctor told her as he went around to mess with the controls on the console.
Then a new screwdriver popped out of the console, "Ah! A new one", the Doctor exclaimed as he pulled it out and pressed the button on the screwdriver as it shined a bright green.
"Lovely", he said quietly, then tossed it in his hand, before pocketing it and whispered something to the console.
"Why me", Amy suddenly asked us, "Why not", the Doctor asked her, "No, seriously? You are asking me to run away with the pair of you in the middle of the night. It's a fair question. Why me", she asked again.
"I don't know, fun ,'' the Doctor told her, "Adventure", I added, "Do we have to have a reason", the Doctor asked her.
"People always have a reason", Amy told us, "Do we look like people", the Doctor asked her, "Yes", she replied.
The Doctor paused after hearing that, before saying, "Been knocking around on my own for a while. Even without Acacia. There have been plenty of times that was the case", the Doctor told me, before I could ask about it, "My choice, but I've started talking to myself. It's giving me earache", the Doctor told her.
"You're lonely. That's it. Just that? But what about Voyager", Amy asked, "I already told you she's not always here", the Doctor told her, "Why? How", Amy asked.
"She travels in time differently than we do. She travels forwards in time, always forward through the vortex. She does come back, but she's changed", the Doctor told her.
"You mean she's a different person", Amy asked him, "In a sense, yes", he told her, "But why does she change", Amy asked him and he was silent.
When she didn't get an answer she looked over at me questioningly, "I don't know. This is my first run", I told her, "First run", she questioned.
"She hasn't changed yet", the Doctor told her, "How does she leave", Amy asked, "When I pull this lever and we go through the time vortex. It's a bit...dodgy", he told her as he pointed over to the lever.
"Unpredictable, you mean", I asked the Doctor and he nodded, "So you really will be lonely. That's really it then", Amy questioned.
"That's really it. Promise", the Doctor told her, "Okay", she told him.
"So, are you okay then? Cos this place, sometimes it can make people feel a bit. You know…", the Doctor trailed off.
"I'm fine", she told him, "It's just...there's a whole world in here, just like you said. I thought...well I was starting to think you two were just a pair of mad people with a box", Amy told us.
"Amy Pond, there's something you'd better understand. It's important, and your life may very well depend on it. We are definitely a pair of mad people with a box", the Doctor told her and she smiled at that.
Then the Doctor turned towards me, "Acacia…", he said then held my hand, "The next time you see me. Don't be mad for too long", he said, before pulling the lever that pulled me through the vortex.
"What? Doctor", I exclaimed before I was engulfed in white light.
